Down The Rabbit Hole Wines - Cellar Door & Restaurant

We did the Fiore Experience at Down The Rabbit Hole in McLaren Vale today and it was absolutely amazing. The Feed Me menu was perfection — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The wine pairings were spot on and really elevated the whole experience. The venue itself is stunning, with a relaxed vineyard atmosphere that makes you want to stay all afternoon. What really made it special though was the staff — attentive, friendly and genuinely passionate about what they do. From the food, to the wine, to the setting and service, everything was next-level. Highly recommend if you’re visiting McLaren Vale!

I hosted an event at Down The Rabbit Hole Wines, and the experience was genuinely outstanding. Adele was an absolute star from start to finish. She effortlessly looked after all 30 of us with warmth, calm confidence, and impeccable attention to detail. Nothing was missed, she was always one step ahead, anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. The wood-fired pizza menu was perfection: generous, delicious, and exactly the kind of food you want for a long, relaxed lunch filled with connection and laughter. The setting, the service, and the overall energy made the day feel incredibly special. If you’re considering hosting an event here, do it. It’s soooooo pretty! I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. 💛✨

An absolute must visit!! We were highly recommended to visit this winery and it did not disappoint. From the wine tasting (with a friendly bubby soul - who I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name) to Toby who saved our afternoon. After a mishap is travel plans, Toby arranged with the team for us to be seated and made sure we were taken care of. He was attentive, charismatic and fun! We had the BEST afternoon. Thank you so so much for the perfect winery experience for our girls weekend!! Toby, you are a legend!!!

I visited Down the Rabbit Hole on a beautiful day, and I was immediately impressed by how stunning the winery looked. The tasting room was especially unique—it’s built inside a converted two-story bus—and we enjoyed our wine tasting on the upper level. Our tasting was guided by Sandra, who was incredibly professional and full of passion. Thanks to her knowledge and warm service, our experience was both enjoyable and truly informative. As for the wines themselves, they were easy-drinking and very approachable. They aren’t heavy or overwhelming, which makes them a perfect match for the relaxed, picnic-like atmosphere of the winery. I had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning in the future.

What I love about this winery is that it has this whimsical vibe…the double decker bus is kinda fun as well. Since it was at the end of the day we couldn’t do the tasting but the glass of Shiraz was perfect on a cool and slightly breezy afternoon sitting at the garden admiring the winery and cottage feel around me. Definitely a great place to be with family and kids. But if you’re into a quiet wine tasting experience this place may be good busy for you. It’s just right for us.

Wow, can’t say enough good things about this lunch experience. Should be 10/10 stars. We had 1 x vegan and 1 x normal menu and they catered amazing and abundantly! This is the most insane value for money you will find as a feed-me menu and the food was so good! Service was extremely nice and attentive. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

Spent a beautiful afternoon at Down The Rabbit Hole Wines, and it truly lived up to the hype! It’s one of those places where you can unwind, sip good wine, and forget about time. The wines were incredible — smooth, well-balanced, and full of character. I especially enjoyed their reds, perfect to pair with the delicious food from their seasonal menu. Everything felt fresh, wholesome, and made with care. The presentation and flavours both stood out beautifully. As someone who loves photography, this place is a dream — from the charming bus bar and rustic seating to the sunset views over the vineyards, every corner is picture-perfect. Whether you’re going for a tasting, a relaxed lunch, or just to soak in the scenery, it’s worth every moment. Overall, Down The Rabbit Hole is a perfect blend of great wine, great food, and a beautiful atmosphere — a must-visit in McLaren Vale! 🍇✨

We visited ‘Down the rabbit hole’ winery today, 5th January 2026 & absolutely loved it. Beautiful Kerrie who served us, made it all the more special. Thank you Kerrie ❤️ We were a group of 6, just walked in and got a table. Beautiful wines, definitely recommend the cheese board and tasting. So reasonably priced and you can request a blanket and have a snooze under a tree. Your kids could just play around in the outdoor areas. Definitely coming back !!
