DOWN TO EARTH NOODLES

We were here on a Saturday evening. Very cosy place, super friendly and welcoming staff. Food was alright. Portions are good. Pretty chill atmosphere. Luckily no wait for the table, but they took some time to serve the food, which is fine if you have good company. The momos were especially good. Naturally the food is "Germanised" to suit the local palate, which is alright. Only issue I had and did not like is, I asked for "normale wasser" and got a very regular glass of water. Tap water, I thought. Yet, on the bill it was charged at 2.20 €. Otherwise it was a good experience.

Down to Earth Noodles is an absolute gem! The cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a freshly prepared meal. I had the vegan Momos and vegan noodles—both were bursting with flavor and made with obvious care. Don’t miss out on their fantastic homemade iced teas or lemonades, which are the perfect refreshing complement to the meal. The staff was excellent—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience!

Our table was 3 person table one of the three at that time. We ordered but another table who sat after got our order we said to the waiter that was ours because we need to go to the airport we were in a rush. The waiter said there is nothing wrong about theirs order!!! After waiting many minutes still we haven’t got our order. We said we have to go they say we can do to go but that would be hard so we decided to wait 2 more minutes as they say our order will come as it does. But our order came wrong!!! We ordered 7 momo but instead we got 5 and never got that other 2 as they say first time they will bring additional 2. Restaurant is so uncoordinated. 2 waiter tried to take our order even though we ordered already. Waiters do not know what their customers get and they do not follow what is going where. Every Single step of request including order went wrong. Food was not bad i would say but experience was. Atmosphere of the restaurant was good

I finally got to try this place (twice this month) and seriously, it is one of the best restaurants in Köln. First of all, what a kicka$$ menu. Its minimal but hits all the spots. The dumplings are gorgeous, juicy and made with organic meat, the noodle soups are heavenly spiced, and the drinks are mostly hand made with cool flavour combinations. I mean really, this place is not to confuse with your normalo asia curry/sushi shop dishing out the basic spice mix with whatever protein added in. I asked the waitor and was told that the soup broths, both the meat and vegan varieties, simmer for hours on the stove to create the deep blend of flavours you can't acheive by just chopping and dropping into a wok. No MSG. You can taste the difference. Homemade chili crunch? YES PLEASE. Also to mention are the vibes. The warm lighting, wood/antique furniture, plants everywhere and a beautiful outdoor area in the back made set a cozy tone. I noticed many guests just hanging for a while to chat and enjoy the atmosphere. The waiters/waitresses seemed a bit stressed, but it was saturday night and everyone was still totally friendly/helpful (like they actually wanted to be there on a Saturday night). The cook walked by to smoke outside and took a moment to ask us how everything tasted. What a sweetheart. I almost forgot the best part: the techno was absolutely bangin'. Although we waited like 30 minutes for our food, it was well worth it. One of a kind spot. Thank you thank you. Will come again.

A place in Cologne with soup dumplings(Momos)! Great food and nice staff. Recommend to try both kinds of dumplings and the noodles with pork (If you eat meat), which have great texture paired with a rich broth. Keep it up guys!

Very nice and cozy place. I ordered the beef noodles and it was delicious!! Tried the Momo as an appetizer as well, super tasty!! The portions are abundant and perfect for sharing. My only suggestion: a nice sauce for dipping the dumplings would be great. Will definitely come back!

This place was amazing! Food was delicious, staff was super friendly. Their menu is very small because they choose quality over quantity, but they always have an amazing special. It's a small place with no alcohol, so be sure to make a reservation and get a road beer next store, but it's so worth it 👍

Nice cute place, unfortunately not possible eat inside yet. The take out process was very easy, friendly and efficient. The cook is from Tibet and ha makes excellent Momo. A generous portion. Right now the menu is limited, which is understandable for the the restaurant that opened during the Covid-19 times. I really hope they will be successful and in the future and they will expand the menu and make momo also with lamb - that would be super. Happy to have this place in the neighborhood.
