Service was horrible. Girl with curly hair was soooo rude. Like don't work customer service jobs if you hate dealing with customers. They served us beer that smelled like throw up! We asked for a different beer and the replacement was flat and also had a dirty dishwasher taste. She had a condescending tone the entire time. We left to another bar that was much more accommodating.

I came with a big group and April was amazing! Very attentive! She checked up on us often!! Highly recommend asking for April! Super kind and attentive! Thank you to her and how she took care to of us.

Very laid-back brewery in a converted garage. I got a pale ale that tasted of grapefruit and pine. They host trivia nights—great crowd vibe. Outdoor picnic tables and friendly dogs. Appreciated the zero‑waste initiative

I only come for the platter and the food is good but not great. BUT PLEASE TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONER. I saw a few people sweating and blowing air to themselves! It was so hot. Please fix this!

Very casual spot. It’s not too far from a few other bars in DT downey, but definitely a different more laid back vibe. Service is great and their fries are amazing. Sports lll playing often, they have karaoke sometimes. Good parking.

Great service, great staff, great prices. Had a special event that went well thanks to the helpful staff. Still has that classic old vibe.

The young red hair curly hair girl makes the place seem horrible. She always has attitude and is ALWAYS MEAN. She typically works on Sundays. We are regulars and honestly get excited when anyone but her is working.

Sergio was great with accommodating our roller derby group. It was our first watch party, and we were able to watch the No Borders Roller Derby Tournament. Mary (I how I spelled it right) was very nice and attentive. The food was good. My friend and I shared the Downey Brewing Sampler. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. Thank you to everyone there. We had a great time.

The service is excellent and the bartender always on her A game. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Vibes are great and I love the music. I especially loveeee the karaoke nights. Definitely check it out.

RUDE AF She totally ignored my existence . Over looked us and was ready to take a white man's order over us . Told us " who told u , you can sit there ?!" After our food was delivered and eating ?! Made us move get up while carrying our food to another table . Felt racially profiled this should NOT be happening in 2025 but there's always idiots . If you don't like your job it's not my fault . Clearly mom didn't raise her right or wasn't it in the picture . Just don't go here waste of money shitty service .

A few months ago, my friends and I visited this restaurant to watch a Lakers game. It wasn't crowded, so we easily found a spot outside, where they had a large screen set up for viewing. We ordered mango and strawberry margaritas, but they were just okay--probably wouldn't order them again. For food, we had wings and fries, which were good. Overall, the food and service were fine. It's a decent spot to catch a game, and I'd consider coming back for that.

Food is amazing I love there pizza and there buffalo wings I have tried several different dishes from this location and nothing has ever disappointed me. I love watching football here on Sunday mornings great ambience and a great crowd lots of families enjoy the game and lots of tvs are playing with all the different games it's hard to miss one game.

My absolutely favorite place ever. I can not get enough of their lemon pepper wings. I prefer coming on a weekday during karaoke night. The atmosphere is amazing and the waitresses are well attentive. It has gotten better over the years.

They don't inform you until you're about to pay that there's an additional charge for using a card. It's quite deceptive. We had to wait a long time for our drinks and weren't acknowledged even though we were sitting at the bar for quite some time.

Caught Game 4 of Dodgers vs. Padres this night. Had some wings and beers in the back patio with the big screen going on. Good selection of beers, liquor and tasty appetizers. Definitely recommend

I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Been here twice, no idea why I returned a second time. Desperation perhaps? The service is subpar at best, no one acknowledges you. The food was lackluster. The beers tasted weird. It stinks to high heavens as soon as you walk in. The restrooms are unsanitary and lack stalls??? The racist wannabe security guard outside is the icing on the cake. The second time I try to give this place a chance and it goes down the crapper because of this guy. Mr. Rent-A-Cop refused me entry and completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner celebration at this place. Out of the five of us, he singled me out for whatever reason (probably because I was the only Asian female in the group, everyone else was Hispanic) and accused me of being drunk and "staggering" when we literally just arrived at the parking lot. Does this fool even know what that word means?! None of us had been drinking, but besides that, I have never been disrespected this way at any other establishment. To humiliate someone and refuse them entry on their birthday, wow! Keep doing what you're doing, you just lost a whole lot of customers! Also, I see other similar complaints about the staff and the horrible customer service. They need to bulldoze this rundown hole of a bar, rebuild and get all new workers. Downey is big so I am pretty sure there are much much better options to choose from than whatever this place is.

The pizza came out raw. We sent it back and the owner refused to take it off the bill. We had to go to the airport and could not wait for it to be redone. He refused to take it off and he said, "I don't care don't come here again" and walked away. Just don't come here. It's not worth your hard earned money.

This place is a little confusing... the food is all frozen bowling alley food, don't really understand the concept of it to be quite honest. It was $20 cover charge for the fight, figured we'd eat & drink skip the food it's awful. It's a super outdated place & the bathrooms feel a creepy dungeon :(

I would give this place zero stars the bartender are so desperate for money and management is no help they basically told me to fuck off I got charge 40$ for 4 drinks went back for 3 drinks got charged 40$ when ask to see recipe manager threaten to kick me out as a bartender myself I wouldn't recommend this spot unless you trying to get rob

Came here for a UFC fight and was so disappointed. The beer selection is trash for a place that identifies as a brewing company. I ordered a tremens beer on tap and as soon as I went in for a taste, I noticed an odd smell from the beer. I proceeded to drink and it was sooooo bad! Like rotten!! My guess is they don't clean their lines! I told the waitress and she exchanged it for something in a bottle. The bill came and it was paid by someone else and when I reviewed it, I noticed they still charged me for the beer I returned so I told the waitress now serving us and she said she would speak to the manager. She came back and says the manager is being a lil bit of a pain in the butt and can't refund me so she takes it upon herself to serve me another of their nasty draft beers! Won't be going back!

Come here if you want they prices to change depending on how much the bartenders and waitresses wanna steal that day. Paid $40 for a drink order 40 mins later ordered the exact same order and the price doubled. Asked manager about it and he immediately threatened to kick us out. Negative 75 stars.

Shoutout to the bartender APRIL! Great customer service all around good beer on tap and don't get me started on those Sriracha, honey wings! Definitely coming back :)

Good food, great beer, wonderful staff and perfect place to catch live sports with friends.

We arrived at Downey brewing company at 5PM on a Friday night. We got there early so there wasn't many people there. I looked up the place on yelp and got nervous because there was a lot of negativity floating around this place. By the time the night was over I did not believe anything that I read about this place. Our server was great, the food was great, and the vibes were great. You're going to a brewery for beer and everything else is extra at that point. I'm not expecting gourmet type food but the house cut fries were so good we needed two orders of them overall I would come back again 100%

Small brewery tried a few of the wits and ales here decent happy hour prices and the food is decent good low key sports hang out they serve beer in a glass boot in the old German way and the staffs friendly I think I'll visit again and get more in depth

The food was decent... they ran out of wings on a football Sunday. The service was ok. The vibe was cool. We only stayed to watch one game. Really huge Chiefs fan place.

What a waste of a space. First off, the building is old, small and smells like it's never been fully cleaned. Secondly, the staff is completely unprofessional and ignored my party as we sat down and never once took our order. A manger had to tell his staff to stop gossiping in front of me and actually help me. I guess the staff only pay attention to the Hispanic/latino patrons in the building because my party saw no attention from this place. Will never recommend to anyone. Plenty of better places in Downey.

Amazing spot to watch the Chiefs Kingdome play games, the wings and pizza are amazing as well as the service... if your looking to have a great family time to watch a game or to just cheer on the Chiefs Kingdome then come on by.... lots of beers on tap and a great experience

I could never recommend such a disgustingly smelling spot that also had terrible service! I mean terrible. Not gonna say it was because I was a black woman because I just don't have time to pull that card but wow ! The workers had to be told to serve me and as you can see on these reviews, the staff/owners are rude. Hard pass! I just felt hurt and upset leaving this space.

I love this place !!!! It is super lowkey The drinks are amazing ! My boyfriend got their beer in a boot glass. He thought the drink looked cool in the glass. We also got to Mexican candy shots !!!! Those are amazing and they creap on you !!! My boyfriend got the chicken tender and fries and I got the club sanwhich. I always get the same thing because it tastes amazing!!! The food has so much flavor. We went on a night they had a DJ and the music was perfect !!! Our server was super nice and kept checking up on us! This place is clean and the service is wonderful ! Best place to hang out with friends and catch up

Abel was great. Despite having only two bartenders during the game, the service was great. There was no bad smell (like previous reviews). They had the game on all of the TV's and they have a giant projector screen with the game on it too. We got the sampler platters and a bunch of different beers and mixed drinks. Great place to come for the game.

THE BUFFALO WINGS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD! they made their own sauce! it's so delicious and super unique. i've never had a buffalo like this one. the staff is friendly parking is ok. prices are convenient. i love this spot. my new go to wing spot! and i loved the jumbo steak fries they serve with the chicken wings. The michelada was just okay.

Great tasting mango cart micheladas and pork wings, yes that's right! Pork wings. The buffalo pork wings or the lemon pepper flavors are great. I don't think they have a waiting staff so all drinks and food must be ordered inside. I don't mind since the staff was inside is friendly. Overall good experience and will continue to come back for the pork wings and the Michelada.

This spot is cozy and dark. Perfect spot to come get a beer and relax with friends. We only tried the pretzel, it was huge and very good. But if your looking for a chill spot for a beer come here.

I used to come here in my 20's and it was always awesome ! But I guess this place has aged just like us. Atmosphere is just not the same here.

Nasty. Their food and beers are terrible. The beers taste like the lines need to be changed out. The food leaves much to be desired and tastes like everything is old and expired from the freezer. This is not a brewery. Do not waste your time or money here. The only positive thing I have to say os the service was good but you're better off going somewhere that you know changes out the beer lines and doesn't cook freezer burnt food.

This was the first time my wife and I have been to this location and I have to say, from start to finish, the service was absolutely amazing. Our server consistently checked back on us to see if we needed anything and gave us recommendations of the different beers they have to offer. This location has plenty of different beers to choose from, the food they serve is more of a selection of appetizers. So if you want to chill and drink a few beers with something small to eat on the side this place is definitely for you.

My recent experience was nothing special from this establishment. Meet up with some friends to watch the game since they have multiple TVs. The service was subpar, a few times I had to wave down our waitress. The food is nothing out of the ordinary. The ambiance needs to be picked up, it's run down and old.

Horrible customer service, from the bootleg security at the door to the weak manager. They can't get their prices straight. The food was ok but the managers look like they hate their job. Here is a picture of their "happy fantastic security".

Went to see a lafc vs galaxy game and the service was horrible!! Took like 30 minutes to get a beer. The place is old they need to remodel or tear it down. The tall boot is thin plastic and I feel like it get warm fast.

I've been coming to this place since I was 21 years old I'm 31 now, never had I ever felt out of place like I did today, the security guard told me that my Mexican passport was not valid, Which by the way a passport is more valid than an ID. The lady at the karaoke wouldn't let me play Spanish music this is when I knew that this place is not Hispanic friendly, idk when this happened but I am appalled by it all. I can't believe that in Downey of all places I would face discrimination but here I am today. I hope and pray that they become more inclusive to other cultures asap. America was built on immigration. Let's not forget.

It's been a while since I've done one of these due to quarantine. And I regret to choose this bar as my very first bar experience after 3 months. The bar should've gotten some work done while they were closed. And they aren't taking social distancing seriously at all. Bathrooms were out of seat covers and toilet paper... I was triggered. On top of that, the bartender made my drink with the wrong liquor and didn't offer to split the check at bar top. Just go to the bars on Downey. I only went for Robin, the BEST KARAOKE lady and she hosts karaoke at many other bars; she sanitized every mic and gave me life again.

It was our first time here and it was quaint and had a nice bar atmosphere. But, honestly, before heading in we read the reviews, which weren't very favorable, and we were wondering....hmm, how bad can it be?!? To our surprise, we really enjoyed bartender, Abel's, hospitality as he recommended several beers to us and he was spot on; very delicious!!! He was very attentive and recommended the pizza, which was quite good!!! Definitely would go back for a good, cold beer!!!

Great location to watch the Super Bowl, excellent beer selection and nice food menu. Long, narrow building, a lil dark but that makes it great for watching the sports on tv. Stout and porter fans have plenty of choices on the beer menu, and the exotic sausages like board and deer are a nice option

Love this place. Down to earth, welcoming and great service!! Really enjoy having a chill spot to enjoy a drink or two in the neighborhood. Fries are great too!

Came here May 2022 for the canelo fight, food was cold 20 dollars for a cover charge, short rude manager. Canelo lost. Change managers and fix your AC

Not sure how this place really has such a following. Tried it for the first time and was disappointed. One they were out of 2 selections I wanted to try, settled for an ale that was ok at best. The place can definitely use a deep clean and those restrooms smell like something is dead in the pipes. Wow. Service on a Saturday night during covid was pretty slow. Not sure i would reccomend this place. I am sure there are better spots in downey.

I tried this place twice. My first experience wasn't a good one.. me and 7 of my friends attended this place for bar food and drinks. We sat outside and our waiter never came. Our waiter was hanging out with the bouncer infront of the door. We had to repeatedly get up and go get our waiter. Once we was done. We had empty plates and cups on our table that no one ever consider picking up. We all agree to get a final round of drinks and leave. Once again we had to go get the waiter. He took our drink order and when he brought us our drinks he ask if we can clear some room for the drinks. He was walking away when we shouted for him to comeback and clear the table for us. My second experience was Wednesday night. A friend who knows that I attend karaoke events often invited me to try out Downey Brewery karaoke night. As I enter I notice the place was pretty empty considering it was a karaoke night. But I was soon find out why. I requested a song in Spanish and the lady replies "absolutely no Spanish music, the owner does not allow it" I have never been to a place where they didn't allow someone to sing a certain genre of music. It was mind blowing. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
