We went to view the Wild Side show curated by Jennifer Pierstorff and were amazed at all of the incredible works of art on display! Even if you can't afford a large original piece, there are many beautiful prints and cards available for purchase.

Two years ago I encountered this gallery and saw the exhibit, Staying Curious, by Stephen Schlegel. It was depicted as an event that will make your eyes smile. I didn’t stay long yet I was captivated. Stephen was there and we talked briefly about his art work. He gave me some M&M candies with an imprint of his logo. 2021 I revisited this gallery and was moved by the new art work and photographs. I saw Stephen again but he looked different in his photograph. He was in military attire. As always, his sculpture beside his photograph looked playful and made the eyes smile. I talked to Toni and Shane at the front desk. The art displayed in the gallery was impressive. I liked how you could buy small pieces for affordable prices. I bought three framed photographs. Talked to a couple of people. A few children came in and told me about their favorite art pieces. One of them liked the red cardinal bird painting. His brother liked the CDs crafted into butterflies and the light bulb used to make a spider. My favorite one art pieces were the photographs I bought of the angel, the Smokey Mountains, and lightening. They were framed and matted- 3 for $10. I, also, liked the silver dragonfly and skeleton key earrings. The last items I liked were the black and white photograph of the merry go round with a menacing head poking through the trees and background by Shane and the simple portrait and sketch of a woman’s face in charcoal and pencil.

This was a hidden gem in Clarksville Tn! The artwork was beautiful and we really enjoyed viewing it. They had the cutest handmade magnet paintings of historical sites in Clarksville. Such great souvenirs for a visit! We will certainly return!

In historic downtown Clarksville, an old storefront serves well as the Downtown Artist Cooperative - A showcase of regional artistic talents that include photography, paintings, textile works, jewelry and other forms. Much of what you see is for sale and the exhibits change to feature specific artists or art forms. Admission is free and there is always someone there to help you find something special. There is a scenic overlook just down the block with a great view of the river and historic part of town. This is really worth a visit...

A very nice co-op art gallery featuring artists from the area located in the heart of old Clarksville TN. They sponsor juried art shows like the Annual DAC JURIED ART SHOW. Check them out on Facebook. Photos to follow.

This is the GO TO PLACE for lovely art shows and monthly opening receptions for Historic Downtown Clarksville's First Thursday ArtWalks. You can be guaranteed to see good art, mingle with interesting and friendly people (including the artists) and enjoy refreshments. The gallery is open Wednesday through Friday noon to 4:00 PM and all day Saturday (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). One of the places in Clarksville where culture begins!

Yelp
Finally getting to stop inside here without kids was a fun way to spend 20 mins! I would say that it's not young-child friendly. Maybe 8+ if your child can be calm and keep their hands to themselves. There's so many talented artists displayed in this little local shop! One side down stairs is full of contest art- beautiful pieces to be seen! You can purchase majority of the art in house. There's all different art mediums shown off. From water color and pencil, to acrylics and oils. A must see if you're downtown and want to explore more! They hold wine and viewing nights one Thursday each month. Definitely NOT for children.
