I recently started using Downtown Camera after my neighborhood film shop closed. The team here is knowledgeable, always friendly, and genuinely helpful. Film scans are returned in a timely manner, and the quality has been consistent. I’d recommend signing up for their paid membership—if you visit even a couple of times, it’s well worth it. You get free film and discounts on developing, which adds up quickly.

I finally had a chance to make it downtown I couldn’t resist browsing their extensive inventory. Wow what a fantastic experience excellent knowledge excellent customer service. My sales associate Faraz R was amazing together, we found ourselves exchanging lenses and finding exactly what I needed perfectly. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with a hint of all the sophistication needed to sell very expensive camera equipment. I couldn’t be any happier with my purchase or with the entire experience definitely worth the trip downtown.

I had such a fantastic experience ordering from Downtown Camera! I was looking for the Fujifilm X100VI (which is sold out almost everywhere), and they were incredibly helpful from the very first email. Ameet was quick to respond, answered all my questions, and even helped me troubleshoot when I had an issue placing my order. The camera was shipped right away, arrived perfectly packaged, and everything went smoothly. Amazing service and great people, highly recommended!

I love Downtown Camera! Great staff, great services, and I love their online store as well. Their membership is so worth it, and they’ve got the best film prices in the city hands down. They have all the chemistry I need as well. Keep up the amazing work!!

Other than the fact that you have to walk through the 7th layer of hell to get here, the store is decent. I’ve come here for years and for what they are good for, they excel. Helpful staff, good spot for repairs and gear. Not my favourite place if I’m buying or developing film, but if you need help with your camera they are great

My experience at this camera shop was decent, but there’s definitely room for improvement. The staff was knowledgeable, but I found them a bit busy and not as attentive as I had hoped. The selection of gear was good, though a bit limited compared to other stores I've visited. Prices were reasonable, but I did feel some items were overpriced. The store itself was clean and organized, but the overall vibe felt a little rushed. It’s an okay option for camera gear, but I might shop around a bit more next time for better service and deals.

Purchased a used Nikon Z9 online from DC in Aug 25. The price was fantastic and the condition was way beyond expectations . Received absolutely spectacular customer service. Nigel and James went out their way to send me photos, answer my questions and help me with a payment issue (I'm in BC) Can't say enough good things about this great team. Will definitely be buying from them again.

Downtown Camera is my go-to place for all my camera gear needs. Everyone there has been incredibly helpful—especially Kenny, who assisted me every step of the way. He was very knowledgeable about the questions I asked and always tried to provide a solution whenever possible. This was my second visit as a very happy returning customer. I'm confident that the high quality of service isn’t limited to Kenny alone. The whole team seems committed to making sure you leave satisfied—and I’m sure you’ll find yourself coming back, too. P.S.
