A very bad story happened today. I bought a Canon camera, and it came with another ORIGINAL battery as a gift. However, the consultant brought me an unknown battery model and assured me that it was better. I believed him. When I returned home and checked, it turned out that the battery’s series was unknown. I went to the store again and reported it. The next what happened was: the consultant brought a box with a new camera and took the battery from there. I have a question: • Who will buy that camera in the future? • Why did the consultant take the original battery from there so easily, and what will he replace it with? I will go home and check my camera by serial number. I will also write a letter to Canon to ensure that the store is an official representative.

I was totally taken by surprise. I thought SLR days have died already. They have a huge space and was so busy. We went there to take passport size photos. The staff was very kind, knowledgeable and made every effort to give us a great experience. I really want to go one more time to this place to really understand what services they offer here. I was totally surprised to see such a huge space full of different types of cameras and really busy with people

Heavenly place for Photography lovers for their Camera purchases. Great collection of all the cameras , Lenses & other accessories available that is related to video shooting as well.

Spectacular place. Everyone who works here knows what they’re doing and were eager to help. Got my film developed here for a competitive price with a 1-day turnaround. Also had my film camera checked out for free by one of the service men who was a big help. Def would recommend getting anything camera related done here! They also have a large range of cameras and gear that they sell.

This store is definitely interesting for camera and photography enthusiasts, with a wide range of products and an interesting selection. However, my experience with customer service left much to be desired. The staff became warmer and more welcoming after I made a purchase, which isn’t ideal for someone visiting the store for the first time. A more consistent and welcoming approach would make the experience much better.

Great place to seek advice, buy used gear or film cameras, or trade in for an upgrade. The guys are really helpful and patient, they don't pressure you in buying. Their film stock is also great and printing is fast!

Where do I begin.... Maybe let's start with best camera store in Canada? Unless you can find me a better source for all your photography needs... Which is highly unlikely. I recently got into film photography, after being surrounded by photography, literally my whole life... I'm surprised that I haven't seriously gotten into it earlier. Whether your needs are for digital or analog photography, Downtown Camera has you covered. Nigel (I hope im spelling that correctly) is incredibly knowledgeable with analog photography, and helped me through every step of the way. All staff for that matter is very knowledgeable, and show a willingness to help in every way. They have an incredible range of used equipment from many eras, among mordern equipment. You can honestly shop with confidence here knowing that your equipment with be both tailored to your needs, and function as they should. Downtown camera also have an incredible image development team. I was so shocked to find out that I can have images developed, scanned, and printed within the same day. (If need be) I'm filled with joy that there are places like this bringing a huge revival to film photography. Thank you to everyone at Downtown Camera for all the incredible service you provide to us! Thank you for all the inspiration, and motivation! My go-to! Everyone is so knowledgeable and kind. Film scans always come in time. Dropped off my disposable today and the employee helping me at the desk had the time to answer my questions about a previous film scan. They even pulled it up to show me and gave me suggestions on what to buy next time. I really appreciated the help!
