The 2 stars are for the nice housekeeping lady.
I've stayed in many Vegas hotels over the years, having lived there for 9 years, making trips back, having family that works in them - and while there are pros to this hotel/casino - it's not my favorite.
Our neighbors fought (loudly) the first night, and we discovered the sound machine was broken. They DID replace it upon request.
I stayed at The D last year, which is even closer to the Fremont Street action, and was more quiet (plus, gave access to the Circa pools/Stadium Swim).
The common luxuries at other hotels aren't there: coffee machine, mini-fridge, etc.
This is a huge downgrade, especially when the coffee shop downstairs isn't convenient to your room, and getting anything takes eons.
The pool area is decent here, with a mid-sized gym nearby. No Pelotons or anything, but enough to get the job done.
The pillows sucked.
There's no real bedding/duvet.
My daughter and I are allergic to something they use, and broke out with the same rash.
The light mirror in the bathroom was also broken - making getting ready really difficult. As other reviewers said, the lighting sucks.
We ate at Freedom Beat for convenience, which was also pretty terrible. While the staff was nice, there was a char on everything, making it apparent the grill needed cleaning. Also, you have to pay before getting your food, which isn't a great sign at a non-buffet.
While Hot N Juicy Crawfish is a nice plus, the incessant text messages about it were a surprise.
All in all, I'd recommend staying elsewhere. There are so many options, and some might cost you an extra $20/night, but I promise it's worth it.
