Year-round on Thursdays, this Plaza Park gathering mixes regional produce with hot food vendors and community performances. Confirmed active by Downtown Oxnard and Visit Oxnard, it’s a reliable option for midweek Ventura-area shopping.

Very nice outdoors market at the Oxnard Downtown Plaza. Was mostly there for the Veterans Day Celebration

So thrilled to find it was Farmers Market day in Oxnard. We picked up delicious homemade zucchini bread, which was yummy! There were fresh tomatoes, onions, carrots, you name it. All fresh and organic, of course. For those who like preserves and honey, you could have your pick. It happened to be a Thursday when we stopped by. Make sure you go early. It's open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It's right in downtown Oxnard.

Beautiful and nice city, quiet in downtown.

One of the smaller farmers markets around, but convenient if you're downtown on a Thursday. They have the basics, but not a huge selection. There are lunch options, a few craft vendors and music.

I always go there for field trips with my older sister and my mom and we get Subway or Cielo desserts and we get movie popcorn sometimes if we're not watching a movie and we go to the pozole stand or the stand where they sell keychains and my older sister wanted a keychain but she didn't bring her money so she just accepted it and I just gave her a keychain

Driving home from So.Cal to the central valley I decided to stop in downtown Oxnard and pick up a few of those famous and delicious Oxnard Strawberries at the Farmers Market, It was pretty nice prices were reasonable. The market had a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from we had a good time walking through town and checking out some of the small businesses and the murals along the parking structure. There was 1 mural that really caught my eye and when you see this mural that the City can approve of you definitely know this chicana made an impact not only in the community of Oxnard but this entire country Beautiful! The girl is on fire! 🔥 "Carmen Perez" ❤ Familia

Yelp
Verify it's happening. I spent $20 1 way to get there to find an empty space. Doooh. And it was being advertised on visit oxnard dot com.

Yelp
Ambience is nice with the guitar music and people in a market. Service of all the vendors is wonderful. Although they say they cannot allow dogs, dogs are still somehow there for some reason. Acai bowl was delicious, fresh, huge, and had so many ingredients for 13$. Definitely fair.

Yelp
Such a fun little farmers market! We were visiting from out of town and this was such a good way to get to know the local area. Had probably the best elote of my life from a corn stand, amazing! And there were quite a few vendors with fresh fruits and veggies as well as local businesses. It's a beautiful park to sit and enjoy a bite, as well, was a very pleasant experience.

Yelp
Does anyone know how to contact the incense vendor? I moved out of town and miss buying her products. Haven't found anything comparable.

Yelp
Go visit the grape vendor. I have never had such a pleasant and flavorful experience anywhere else. He walked me through the types and styles with tastings.

Yelp
I love this little farmers market. There is a nice mix of produce vendors, flower stalls and food trucks. I've gotten wonderful things like very fresh globe eggplant and fresh Jamaica! It's located in a park so there are a lot of chairs and tables out for picnics and sometimes there's music giving the even a carnival-like atmosphere.

Yelp
This is *almost* more of a tip than a review to clarify actual hours since they differ from those posted here, but since I'm new in town, it's good to share the intel. We arrived at 1:30 & almost all the vendor booths were closed and pulling away. Two food trucks were there selling tacos/burritos or sandwiches. One large tent vendor who was selling 'Mexican specialties' (mostly baked goods) remained. We asked a produce vendor (the last one there closing up) about the market times-- learned that produce vendors are open at 10am for sampling and close down by 1pm to head for other area farmers markets. (Heading to the one in Carpinteria at 3pm as I write this, by produce vendor recommendation). Writing this since I appreciate knowing the actual hours as I go to farmers markets primarily to shop for produce & since it was quite small with very limited hot food options (reflective of the area population), unlikely this lunch choice was due to the 'late' hour.

Yelp
We were disappointed in our experience here today. Prices were high for the so-so quality. Selection was limited, too -- lots of flowers, a few food trucks, and a lot of veggies that looked and felt overripe. We bought nice-looking local strawberries and some fresh-baked cookies, but $2.50 per pound for cukes?! I don't think so! It was our first visit, so maybe we just hit a bad day. We'll give them another chance.

Yelp
My office is about a block away from this market, therefore is almost inevitable to stop here. The hours of this farmers market do not cooperate with my schedule. Usually the market is open from 9am to 1pm, so it ends right around my lunch break. I usually take lunch around 12pm, so when I go to the farmers market, they are usually loading up to go. I don't understand this time, I really wish they could open from 1pm to 6pm, than I would probably go way more often to have dinner and buy vegetables every Thursday. The farmers market does have numerous diverse stands of rotating fresh produce, depending on on the season. For example this past week, winter season, there was Japanese fruit, lot of variety of mushrooms, lettuce, oranges, etc. So for a winter season they had a good selection. Of coarse during summer season, this market looks way different, with more colorful selection. Here's where I am a little disappointed, the options of prepared food. There is not a lot of selection. So I see cattle corn, tamales (after winter I don't want any), burgers, hot dogs, churros, I don't see any grill chicken, steak, or fish tacos that I usually see in other farmers market. This is a little disappointing, especially if you want lunch. The location however is really nice, right on Plaza Park, under the big trees. The market sets up tables where you can meet up with friends/family/neighbors and grab a quick nibble to eat, really relaxing. I recommend you grab some hummus and chips, and have a small conversation with another person, really relaxing. After seeing so many farmers market around the state, I feel like the Downtown Oxnard has a lot of room for improvement. Especially because Oxnard is a huge agriculture hub. This market makes you question where are all the produce is going? to LA or SF? C'mon we produce everything from avocados to artichokes, tomatoes, strawberries, to name a few. Let us see what crops are grown in the area, and what products are made. Where is Herzog wine at? sell it here at the market! Where are not just an exporter city!! This is why for now I give it three stars, but we'll see if changes come.

Yelp
Great place! A little smaller than most Farmers Markets I've been to, but still had everything I needed. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Some meals here and there such as Mexican dishes, elote, and beef jerky as well. I enjoyed it here. Very friendly people and great prices. Bought two strawberry baskets for $5, green onion bunch for $1, beets for $2.50, corn on the cob which was only 3 for $2, and yellow peaches and emerald green plums. All so fresh and delicious! They also had a booth of essential oils and incense and a couple of other booths with plants. Fun, small town Farmers Market. Enjoyed my visit here!

Yelp
I love Farmers Market in Downtown Oxnard! The produce is wonderful, farmers are friendly and helpful, it's not crowded and it's reasonably priced! Compared to supermarket fruits and veggies, you get much better fresh produce here at Farmer's Market, that has been handled by fewer people in less time from field to market. Support local farmers next Thursday and keep yourself healthy!

Yelp
Very nice farmers market with food trucks. There's about twenty or more tents set up with produce, flowers, jewelry and other goodies. It's very charming with a band playing. I'd highly recommend going.

Yelp
Best farmers market I've ever been too! Lots of organic choices along with every other thing you can think of. I stop here every time I'm in town!
