Downtown Shawarma&Gyro

This place is amazing, I went for my first time because I was super hungry and wanted something hot and fresh and I got the chicken Shawarma combo with the french fries and it was delicious! I think I will definitely be back very, very good food and very flavorful Really good fries!

Best customer service and halal food in town I were smelling the food from the street and always wanted to stop by so lucky to stop by tonight and got lamb over rice and 2 combo meals and side of hummus and so amazing and delicious definitely will be back again and again

Such a great spot. The food was fresh, and the meat was super tender and flavorful. Loved that they have Mexican Coke too. The owner was so kind and even gave a sample while I was waiting, which made the experience feel extra special and got me even more excited for the meal. Definitely get extra garlic sauce because it’s so tasty. Highly recommend this place and will absolutely be back — hope he’s around forever!

I would add photos but the food was so delicious my whole family dug in and finished before I had a chance. The spices are amazing. There is no lack of flavor here. I don’t often leave reviews but that’s just how much my family loved this place. Thanks for blessing our lunch today.

The owner was incredibly kind! I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and an orange slushy—both were delicious. The slushy was a bit too sweet for my taste, but everything else was excellent. Highly recommend!

The owner of this place is one of a kind. He's extremely kind, motivated, friendly and an overall great guy and I would come back JUST for the service alone. That said, his food is TOP NOTCH. This is not food truck quality, it's restaurant quality and quite amazing. Try the lamb!! If your second guessing this place, stop. Go there and give it a try IMMEDIATELY!! Plus a great atmosphere. You can thank me later when you see me there coming back for seconds!

Truly a 10/10 experience — Downtown Shawarma is easily one of my new favorite spots! I can’t say enough good things about the food AND the service. I called in my order (which I highly recommend doing), and the owner was so kind and accommodating. I asked to sub rice for salad on one of the plates, and he was super nice about it — no hesitation at all. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they serve. I ordered fries, two mix platters, and two shawarma plates, and every single thing I tried was amazing. • The fries were perfect — crispy, hot, and seasoned just right. 10/10. • The mix platters completely blew me away — seriously, 20/10. So much flavor, generous portions, and beautifully balanced. • The shawarma plates were also great — juicy, tender meat, fresh sides, and flavorful sauces. I’d give them a solid 9.5/10. But the real star? The shawarma chicken. It was perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and just melts in your mouth. Once I took my first bite, I couldn’t stop — the food was just that good. I honestly didn’t get enough pictures because I was too busy eating! The customer service was amazing, too. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you can feel the good vibes when you walk in. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy with your order. If you haven’t been to Downtown Shawarma yet, GO. It’s worth it. I’ll absolutely be back, and I’ll be bringing friends next time. 100% recommend!

An incredible little roadside Schwarma stop that is equally as delicious as the owner is gracious! I work nearby and finally had the pleasure to try it yesterday and I have found my new weekly staple. Upon walking up you hear the ruminating echo of traditional Arabic music, a soothing and beautiful rhythm that only entices the senses more. The owner greeted me with a smile and conversation. As it is Thanksgiving week and many people are off work, I was the only one there so in between prep, cooking, and guiding his son the owner made time to converse with me, asking about my day and telling me of his. The food though, the chicken and beef was out of this world! Perfectly spiced, cooked with care so it was nice and crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The owner put the wrap together with care and handed it to me with a smile. As I said goodbye he made sure to tell me I was always welcome to his spot, not in a way that most restaurateurs say it to get your business again, but in a way that was genuine and kind as if it was truly heartfelt. I'll be going back today and probably at least once a week for the foreseeable future.

Delicious shawarma and gyro! They have a little of everything and are always trying to add to their menu to make it what their customers want. It was cold when I ordered at the food truck, so they gave me a buzzer to take to my car that went off when my food was ready! That is a GREAT addition! Thank you, downtown Shawarma, yummy!

After a month of drinking my way through Europe 25 years ago, and grabbing shwarma wraps after beers at different spots at least half the nights and early mornings, I was absolutely hooked on them. Unfortunately, on my return home, I was unsuccessful in finding anything as similar and as satisfying in north Texas. Until today! I would've preferred lamb but their chicken shwarma perfectly hit the spot and finally scratched a decades-old itch. Can't wait to try everything on their menu!

This food truck is literally a two minute walk from my apartment. I have been waiting to eat there for a while and I am glad I finally did it. I had the mixed Shawarma bowl with beef and lamb. It is served on a bed of rice with both the beef and the lamb on top with fresh pita on the top. The two side containers had pickled jalapeños and peppers, but the best part of the whole dish was the other side, which was a salad that was a mixture of corn, black olives, red onions, some sauce, and lettuce. It was amazing. All the ingredients were fresh, and I watched him prepare the dish in front of me. I was served with great joy and enthusiasm, and I look forward to making this a regular place moving forward.
