Downtown Shawarma

Truly a 10/10 experience — Downtown Shawarma is easily one of my new favorite spots! I can’t say enough good things about the food AND the service. I called in my order (which I highly recommend doing), and the owner was so kind and accommodating. I asked to sub rice for salad on one of the plates, and he was super nice about it — no hesitation at all. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they serve. I ordered fries, two mix platters, and two shawarma plates, and every single thing I tried was amazing. • The fries were perfect — crispy, hot, and seasoned just right. 10/10. • The mix platters completely blew me away — seriously, 20/10. So much flavor, generous portions, and beautifully balanced. • The shawarma plates were also great — juicy, tender meat, fresh sides, and flavorful sauces. I’d give them a solid 9.5/10. But the real star? The shawarma chicken. It was perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and just melts in your mouth. Once I took my first bite, I couldn’t stop — the food was just that good. I honestly didn’t get enough pictures because I was too busy eating! The customer service was amazing, too. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you can feel the good vibes when you walk in. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy with your order. If you haven’t been to Downtown Shawarma yet, GO. It’s worth it. I’ll absolutely be back, and I’ll be bringing friends next time. 100% recommend!

Downtown Shawarma is a solid 10/10 — I’m obsessed! My sister picked up food for the family and everything she brought home was amazing. We got the shawarma, a mix plate, and also tried the falafel and shawarma tacos — and wow. The falafel and tacos were 11/10 — seriously, some of the best I’ve had! The shawarma was perfectly seasoned and so juicy, and the mix plate had great portions and flavor. But the real standouts were definitely the falafel and tacos — packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was also top-tier. The staff was super friendly, and the owner made sure everything was just right. You can really tell they care about the food and their customers. If you haven’t tried Downtown Shawarma yet, you need to. It’s officially a family favorite now — we’ll definitely be ordering again!

Didn't see any one post about the lamb so I had to try it. Lamb Gyro is an amazing lunch. Juicy, crispy edges, and very flavorful, served with fresh sauce and veg. Fries and pickled veg on the side had no need to be as good as they were as well. Everything fresh! Great value for what you get! I will be back tomorrow to try the notorious shawarma. It is rare for me to hit a place twice in a week, but I will make an exception for the quality I got here. 10/5 Note: order ahead if you are on lunch, they make it fresh!

Am in love with their food, i have tried the chicken shawarma platter and to be honest its one of the best in town. A must try hidden gym, amazing owner, amazing worker, its located on the way to downtown and white settelment. add it to your list now, thank me later.

I would give 6 stars if I could. The flavor is excellent and the owner reda is awesome and clearly takes a lot of pride in his food. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out.

This place is great. Talk about they should have more places. The food was amazing. Got the chicken shawarma combo. Man it was delicious. Definitely coming back. Oh the garlic sauce. Was heavenly.

Delicious shawarma and gyro! They have a little of everything and are always trying to add to their menu to make it what their customers want. It was cold when I ordered at the food truck, so they gave me a buzzer to take to my car that went off when my food was ready! That is a GREAT addition! Thank you, downtown Shawarma, yummy!

After a month of drinking my way through Europe 25 years ago, and grabbing shwarma wraps after beers at different spots at least half the nights and early mornings, I was absolutely hooked on them. Unfortunately, on my return home, I was unsuccessful in finding anything as similar and as satisfying in north Texas. Until today! I would've preferred lamb but their chicken shwarma perfectly hit the spot and finally scratched a decades-old itch. Can't wait to try everything on their menu!

This food truck is literally a two minute walk from my apartment. I have been waiting to eat there for a while and I am glad I finally did it. I had the mixed Shawarma bowl with beef and lamb. It is served on a bed of rice with both the beef and the lamb on top with fresh pita on the top. The two side containers had pickled jalapeños and peppers, but the best part of the whole dish was the other side, which was a salad that was a mixture of corn, black olives, red onions, some sauce, and lettuce. It was amazing. All the ingredients were fresh, and I watched him prepare the dish in front of me. I was served with great joy and enthusiasm, and I look forward to making this a regular place moving forward.
