This review is based solely on the customer service I received at this location. I went in to pick up an order and was greeted by a gentleman behind the counter who was working on an order. I told him I was there to pick up my order, and he said it would take two minutes. I agreed and waited. There were Hot Wheels near the register, so I spent some time playing while I waited. About ten minutes later, I returned to the register to check on the status of my order. The same gentleman was still busy working on another order, so I stood at the register waiting for him to notice me. From a distance, I heard a woman say, “I’ll be right with you.” When the gentleman finally noticed me, I asked about my order. He told me to check with the woman instead. When she came over, she told me the exact same thing—that it would be two more minutes. I mentioned that I had already been waiting for ten minutes after being told the same thing earlier. She snapped at me and said, “No, you haven’t been waiting for ten minutes.” I responded, “Yes, I have been waiting for ten minutes,” but she denied it, walked away, then returned a few seconds later and took my picture with her phone without my consent before walking away again. This made me extremely uncomfortable and upset. When I asked why she took my picture, she said I was rude and that she needed to report me. At that point, I was very frustrated and did swear at her before canceling my order and leaving. That reaction is completely out of character for me, but the situation escalated unnecessarily and left me feeling disrespected. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Delish!, I have my issues with marinara sauce but yours guys is too perfect!, and obviously the calzones. My husband ordered the Roni zoni and I had the Maui Wowi Zone... Yummy. And last but not least the warmy chocolate chip cookies, oh yeah!

the food SLAPS. very much worth the cost (not expensive but we spent a lot because my boyfriend wanted everything on the menu). i’m already loving this new spot and will definitely be back. we got the combat zone, a construction zone, roni bites, cheese sticks, and cinnamon sticks. all were so delicious.

First time visiting. Customer Service was excellent. Everything came as ordered. Would have preferred it a little hotter (heat wise). Parking is a pain but worth the visit. We will be back.

Changed my rating after ordering, late at night, through UberEats. Food was late, old and cold. Complained to UberEats and only got my tip back. $19 for cold left overs! Was so glad that a good option was open until 3am. Was wrong! Not a good option late at night! Forget it!

Amazing food! First time we went I forgot to take pictures cause I was just so hungry. However the second time I quickly snapped some photos! Did the construction zone this time with breaded chicken, mac&cheese, with bacon and ranch. So tastey! Definitely a must try!

One of the best calzones I have had! New, clean place! Loud dining area- nice outdoor area- hate the type of chairs they have but many places are using them- lightweight metal chairs not built for the mature woman! Food was great! Marinara was a little sweet wich paired well with the spicy sausage- so good- good service- would recommend- hit it now before all the students get back!

Tristan did such a good job. I love the energy they put into the atmosphere of the place. Very kind considerate and offered alternative to better fit my cravings.

Staff member was not very nice. My friends and I went to this place on Tuesday December 2nd, 2025, around 2-3 in the morning, very excited, and as my friend paid with her cashapp, it apparently "didn't work on the computer system" even though a transaction was already made. To the cashier, we ask her about where the payment went to and she told us that she didn't know and that she couldn't help us. In addition to this, she then proceeds to tell us that the computer system does weird stuff like that all the time (HUH???). If that was true, I could understand, but her condescending attitude towards us was absolutely unacceptable. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but this cashier had a very bad attitude even though we were very calm and respectful, just trying to figure out how we ended up paying for something, but it not showing in the system??? We still haven't gotten the money back at this time smh. I would probably not go here again or recommend this place to anyone, that is for certain.

I went to this restaurant and was eating bread sticks on a picnic table in their outside patio. A woman came up and said the "picnic table was hers and I needed to move". I said I was going to get a manager to handle the situation and the person sitting across from me smoking said they were the owner. They all ganged up on me so I left. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

It's 9:00 October 10. We are trying to enjoy our calzone. But this lady keeps on complaining loudly about maybe her coworkers?? She is talking very loudly and cursing for the whole room to hear.very off putting. The calzone was fire though. There is another guy back there making our calzones but this lady is doing nothing but sitting down watching videos on her phone and complaining. I can tell the guy working doesn't want to hear any of this but is being nice.

From our first encounter, the woman with red hair taking our order was very rude. I tried brushing it off but was met with more combativeness when my friend needed to use the bathroom. I watched the lady with red hair change the bathroom availability so we would not be able to use it. She also said "I'm not serving bitches like you". This is not the kind of treatment or language I expected to receive hear and I will be making sure this is addressed and facility is retrained on treatment of customers.

This is definitely a college spot for those who need something late at night or early in the morning. Will need the marinara (or pizza sauce) to dunk the calzone in since it was so bland.

I've had food from here maybe a dozen times, never had any issues. I love their calzones and their sides. Delivery is always prompt, and I love that you can pay with cash. When we did go into the restaurant, the staff were kind and the ambiance was very energetic and lively.

D.P Dough was first explained to me by the man putting the sign on the door as, "The place for college kids after they leave the bar" and I couldn't think of a better description. The food is fairly decent and one of the best choices if you're up late at night, the hours are generous and extend long into the morning. However service was a scramble as you pick up your order but aren't told anything of this, you can sit for minutes not realizing their ready expecting them to bring it out to you. Not that you'll want to stay in lurid spartan ambiance on their patio furniture or alarmingly red room for long. Though their worst sin isn't the strange decor or messy service, it's the lack of a drink machine or any form of tea. All drinks are served in bottles from the fridge, and unless you Pepsi's sphere of products you're out of luck.

DP Dough is great! The food is fantastic, and the people are nice. One time I tried to order delivery, but accidentally got pickup instead, and they were very helpful, and delivered it to me anyway.

This food genuinely made my day better. It was my first time here and I ordered online to pick it up. The lady at the counter was very friendly, so that's a plus. The scenery isn't really important, simple pizza shop stuff. But my goodness- I got the cheese-zone with the garlic topping and marinara with a soda for about $13 I think? It was one of the best things I've ever ordered out. The cheese blend was stretchy tasty, the garlic topping was very similar to Pizza Hut breadstick topping (which is a very good thing), and the marinara was perfect for it. I know it's kind of weird, but I am genuinely having a better day after eating this calzone. This place should be packed every time they're open. I will be coming back.

This place might go further downhill soon! I ordered the 1/2 lb Dunkers online and other food and got skimped! I paid $7-8 for only about 6 pieces of chicken. The food is such small portions for the prices. I would not recommend getting some items, specifically the dunkers! Service was lacking at the front counter. I ordered my order 15-20 mins in advance got to the store and they had not started meanwhile no one was in the store. Usually the food taste pretty good though, that's the positive.

My son had some buffalo chicken bites delivered with his food and he gave me one. That thing was scrumptious!!!! Will definitely eat here!!!!

JOKE! They advertise "extended" delivery. When you waste all the time jumping through all the hoops to order, they tell you they don't deliver to my address. After trying to qualify what their "EXTENDED" delivery is, they tell you 5 mile radius of their store. WHY don't they simply tell you up front what their delivery is?? The clown I argued with on FB messenger was a total JERK. He accused ME of causing the problem. He told me that if I reported his BS to YELP, he would post the whole conversation. I HOPE he does. This whole thing could have been avoided if he had the common sense to DEFINE EXTENDED $1 DELIVERY AREA. I guess that was too tough for his brain!!! His excuse was that a 20 minute drive would cause my order to be cold. DUH?? Everyone else in Denton delivers to Sanger 9 mile away!! BS excuse!! Do NOT waste your time. Look at the other BAD reviews they have received and make your own decision! The ONLY thing I can figure is that they are too cheap to hire good delivery drivers and they only hire bicycle riders around the college that they can pay sub standard wages for delivery! All I can say is "Good luck and Good riddance when you fail!

Perfect college spot. Calzones are good. Cheesy tots with bacon were good. Delivery was quick. Price was decent for what you get

Had the Italian calzon and the roni rolls it was all delicious roni rolls where outstanding service was awesome highly recommended

Cheap, stingy, and careless. Had 2 online orders that were given away to someone else. They said they would remake my food in 10 minutes. I left an hour and a half after I placed the order. They offered nothing after their mistake, but mentioned that "congrats, you're the first!" Then had the audacity to ask for email confirmation, three times. Don't waste your time.

D.P. Dough is an awesome place and has tremendous staff! Food is always perfectly cooked and is delicious! Hands down one of the first places I recommend to people when they're in Denton!

Food is absolutely amazing. My daughter who barely eats anything, developed a hollow leg and put away her mushroom calzone, cheesy bread, and a dessert. I ate half of mine cause it was so filling and took the other half to work the next day for lunch. Even the next day the calzone was de-freaking-lisious!

DP dough more like PP dough! Absolutely vile food, I got a calzone and it was COLD on the inside. The marinara tasted like water and I couldn't even eat any more than a couple bites. I do NOT recommend eating here. I threw up when I got home because of this food. Unless you like having a stomach bug, I'd walk right past this place.

I only just tried the buffer zone calzone and I have no words! So goooood the menu looks great. I can't wait to come back and try more. The owner was kind and inviting. The place is a great atmosphere with games to play and hang out. 10/10

It was just alright. Crust was very chewy and not crispy at all and the size of the calzone was pretty small. Not much cheese in it either. The reviews ( that were deleted by the owner after this post ) are also fake looking which is very off putting- wish i wouldve seen before ordering.
