DO THE 1886 EXPERIENCE. It was worth every penny and we can’t wait to do it again! It was the perfect amount of wine through the tour to try different types of wines. The tour itself was so informative and educational then you come back to the seating area to your small plate pairings with wine. It was organized, engaging, DELICIOUS and days later we still are raving about it. Can’t wait to do it again! Absolutely phenomenal 💗

Google
My father and I had an incredible experience during our wine tasting at the Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery! There was a variety of types of wine included in the experience, and each one was truly delicious. The cheese board for two was incredible, and the guided pairing of the cheese board with the wine tasting made the experience that much better! The service was wonderful- we worked with Sue, who kept our glasses and our smiles full. Sue was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and the winery, and her passion for the history around Dr. Frank’s legacy is apparent. We tasted some of our new favorite wines AND cheeses, and we can’t wait to come back in the near future.

Google
I absolutely love this winery! I have ordered wine in the past but this was my first time visiting the winery itself. Staff is so friendly and amazingly helpful. Great experience. Wine is absolutely delicious!! Purchased some new wines I haven't had before to take home and I joined the wine club. I can't wait to try some different wines I haven't had. So glad we finally make the trip. Probably one of the best wineries I have tried in the Finger Lakes. Definitely my favorite.♥️

Google
Beautiful winery with kind staff and yummy charcuterie foods. Customer service was just amazing. At Eugenia’s Garden, there are many sitting areas (gazebo, swing chairs, picnic tables). For the seated wine tasting, there is an outdoor area balcony that overlooks the lake. There is also an indoor area but we did not sit there.

Google
Loved Dr Frank winery. Sat outside in the garden. It was lovely and peaceful. The flights are done differently. They come preselected in sets of 3. The glasses come in a tiered stand and recommend you go from top to bottom. Genius! Loved their wine.

R D.

Google
This is a beautiful winery during any season. The deck out front is especially has an especially beautiful view of Keuka Lake. If you want to do a tasting, book ahead of time. If not, Eugene's garden is open (heated tent) for flights and wine by the glass. Bring cash to tip since you cannot add tips to card transactions.

Google
We love this place! It’s a true gem overlooking Lake Keuka. We are members and get their wines shipped to us quarterly. Great experience all around. Great service, very friendly, and the wines are amazing! Thank you for always delivering in excellence. Bryan and Vicky Sparks

Google
We just recently visited the Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery during a weekend trip to Naples. Out of about 7 wineries, this was our best tasting experience and our favorite winery. My husband and I are both dry red wine drinkers but we really enjoyed just about everything we tried at the tasting. A favorite included the semi-dry Riesling. This is the only winery we purchased more than one bottle as we could not decide. We were traveling with our puppy, Hank, and our 4 children. We didn’t feel rushed and the staff all seemed to genuinely want us there. Beautiful views and patio! Wish we could have stayed longer! We’ll definitely be back.

Yelp
Stop #1 on our Sunday wine tour. Way off the beaten path about 50min from our hotel, but with researching the best Riesling wines I kept getting here as it. So I wanted to make sure if everyone else knew that, we could get in and not have to fight a crowd. Very much a foreign farm type design, obviously of some type of European descent when we pulled up. Looked like the Bavarian houses you see in Germany Austria. Anyway - George was our wine tour guide for the tasting. Really liked him and he was nice. Also gave us some tips on other places to visit and wineries to try. We left with a couple bottles.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed a peaceful, elegant experience with a reserved tasting at Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery on a Monday afternoon in early July 2025. Lots of pluses. First, the service was professional as we were promptly escorted to the indoor tasting station for our prepaid 2pm reservation ($18 per person). Second, the quality of riesling wines was outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the 2024 dry riesling and 2023 semi-dry riesling (both are lovely on their own, but are sublime when paired with sushi or Asian cuisine). Third, the scenic views of Keuka Lake are peaceful and relaxing. Fourth, I would highly recommend the $25 charcuterie and cheese plate which makes a delightful pairing with some of the wines that you'll try. Fifth, Dr. Frank's history is a bold testament to America's proud history of immigration. He is Ukrainian (born in Odessa) and received his PhD degree in viniculture. After his family suffered hard times during the war, he moved to the US and initially worked as a dishwasher in New York City before coming to the Finger Lakes Area and ultimately proving that European vinifera grapes could be successfully grown in the cold climate of upstate New York. Dr. Frank's legacy is evident in the productive vineyards and superb rieslings of the Finger Lake region as well as his commitment to sharing knowledge with other makers of American wines. This was a highlight of our vacation trip!

Yelp
Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery was one of the highlights of our Finger Lakes wine era (hands down!!). We came with a group and enjoyed a peaceful, relaxed tasting out on the patio with sweeping views of Keuka Lake. It's a stunning location, and the vibe felt elevated yet unpretentious. The 2023 Muscat Ottonel was my personal favorite - bright, lightly sweet, and super easy to sip. A perfect wine for summer. Beyond the wine itself, there's something special about visiting a place with this much history. Dr. Konstantin Frank is actually considered one of the most influential figures in American winemaking. He's the one who introduced vinifera grapes (like Riesling and Chardonnay) to the Eastern U.S. back when everyone thought they couldn't survive here. So this isn't just a winery - it's part of the legacy that helped put the Finger Lakes on the wine map. Great wines, great people, and an even better view. If you're in the area, this place is a must.

Yelp
A most excellent winery and known for their fine wines, this winery never disappoints ever!

Yelp
We had the most amazing sparking wine experience today with Lauren as our guide. We had no idea that Dr. Frank had sparkling wines and if you haven't tried them, they are a must!!! Lauren made the experience all that much better!

Yelp
I took my mother to celebrate her birthday at the 1886 House adjacent to the primary tasting facility. Allen greeted us with the choice of two champagnes and we toured three separate portions of the vineyard. Allen provided so much knowledge about the grape varietals, the history of the growing technology and the Champagne program at the winery. After heading back to the 1886 house we took a trip to the upper patio for pictures with Keuka Lake as the backdrop. Next was a wine and food pairing provided by Lake Life. The tablescape was elegant adorned with Reidel stemware and fresh flowers. The dining room was filled with local art depicting the nature of Keuka Lake. We finished the tour in the lower level of the house with a hearty Port and dark chocolate pairing . I highly recommended booking one of the 1886 experiences.

Yelp
Stopped at 4:30 and was told that tasting stops at 4pm. Website indicates open to 5pm. We were not offered any option to even have a glass. In addition, the manager told me that if they stayed open till 5pm they would not get out of there till 7pm. I am sorry but I missing something? I believe when you go into this it is called the hospitality business. They definitely dropped the ball on that part of it.

Yelp
I tagged along on a group tasting experience even though I don't drink, and I had a great time! The location was beautiful, so we had an amazing view during the tasting. Service was great! We were treated well and got to hear a bit of history about the winery as well as the selections we were offered. The charcuterie was wonderful. The combinations were very thoughtful and all options were delicious. My favorites were the Harpersfield Lapsang Suchong, Chardonnay butter, and the Rkatsiteli Hip Jam. All of the offerings were sold inside, along with other merchandise such as shirts and dog toys.

Yelp
The service was amazing! The gentleman who executed our wine tasting was friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable! The atmosphere was welcoming, quaint, and perfect for a day out with my husband!

Yelp
My fiancé and I really enjoyed our time here. The hostess was very friendly and inviting. We ordered a charcuterie board and wine and had the option to sit anywhere outside. The food was delicious as well as the wine. Very peaceful, quiet & relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Easily the best winery we visited in the Finger Lakes! While it was a bit further away from where we were staying in Hector, Dr Frank's winery came so highly recommended to us by multiple people, we had to try it out. This was our first stop on our drive in from Philadelphia, so we didn't explore too much else around Hammondsport but definitely will need to on our next visit. We made reservations for tasting in advance, but since we arrived a bit earlier, we hung out in Eugenia's Garden (it had just opened for the season) and enjoyed a glass of wine there. Our server was helpful in recommending us a wine that would not be featured on our tasting later in the afternoon - the sav blanc was perfect for the warm day. The Garden was lovely, with lots of seating underneath a canopy but also some more exposed seating (including a gazebo area, where we sat); in addition to wine, they also serve some food and other drinks, so a great variety (we just stuck to wine). When it was time for our tasting, we were seated in the covered front patio and met our wonderful server. She beautifully walked us through each wine, providing us helpful background and tasting notes for each one but also giving us space and time to enjoy each sip while forming our own opinions. All the wines were so crisp and clean and quite memorable. The tasting focused on whites, and my personal favorite was the rose (surprisingly not sweet and actually a bit tart and incredibly easy to drink), but every one was fantastic. We shared with her that we were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary, and she brought over an extra tasting and a cheesecake for us to share which was so thoughtful. She truly was passionate about what she did, and she made our experience truly stellar. Dr. Frank's tasting room was a 10/10 experience. The servers are so kind and have passion for their work, and we appreciated being walked through each wine (not the same case for other wineries we visited). The space is beautiful, particularly the garden, and the wine is top notch. For only $15, we tried some spectacular wines that spanned a number of varietals, and the price point for bottles for home was incredibly reasonable (~$20-30ish). I highly recommend Dr. Frank to anyone visiting the Finger Lakes - we cannot wait to revisit!

Yelp
We visited this beautifully situated winery one afternoon while on vacation choosing to forego the tasting. Instead we bought a pair of bottles, a 2023 semi-dry Riesling and a 2023 Gewurztraminer. Though we enjoyed both, the Riesling was considered by each of us to be better.

Yelp
If you visit a single winery while in the finger lakes it should be this one. Not only was the service top notch, but it's the absolute best view there is and the wines are actually so good. You have a lot of good experiences while in this area, but this place is stunning, well staffed and has good wine. I beg you, please make this a stop while in the area. We did the the traditional tasting, added a charcuterie which they did and excellent job of explaining what went with what and it did, and then we even enjoyed our favorite wine on their stunning patio. All around an excellent experience

Yelp
tremendous views, tremendous selection, very outstanding wine and Dog friendly. This is a favorite of ours and we make sure to go there at least every year when we visit the family lakes

Yelp
We had a wonderful visit at this beautiful winery and peaceful setting. The cheese pairing was great. We really liked several of the wines and bought a bunch to bring home. Our server was new and fantastic. He was engaging and informative. The staff in the store were excellent as well. We will definitely go back if ever in the area again.

Yelp
My friend purchased tickets to the Holiday Market event, it was by far the best part of the weekend celebrating my birthday. It was a fun filled afternoon wondering through Chateau Frank and the beautiful property. The tastings and food pairings by far exceeded our expectations! Come to this event hungry, The Snowflake Tent had the most decadent spreads, cheeses, Gouda, and Hedonist Dark Chocolates literally melt in your mouth paired with Cabernet franc. The Chey's Pierogi Shop makes scrumptious home made pierogi's that we sampled, popcorn, fresh apples, soaps, candles, art, and so much more! Roasted Brussels I paired with the dry rose'. Turkey, cranberry sauce, and biscuit paired with Blanc de Blanc, so delicious! I am really regretting not purchasing a bottle or two of this bubbly wine for Thanksgiving! I'll look into if they are sold in the Syracuse area! And last but not least the Sweet Potato Pie paired with Semi Dry Riesling I chose was delectable! A really fun and fulfilling event, everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. We are already planning to attend this event next year! The tickets were a mere $20 apiece and included so much more than we imagined!

Yelp
We love this winery! Enough to drive an hour and half each way multiple times in our few years living in the finger lakes! James is amazing and so informative with our wine tasting, and we've had him every time. The cheese board pairing is definitely a smaller portion, but delicious in every bite. This most recent visit, we decided to join the wine club which is very reasonable and everyone was very helpful setting us up and answering questions. They ship to our home state too! Yay!

Yelp
Such a pretty place, this! They have two kinds of seatings - one is with reservation (15 pp) where you get guided tastings (I believe tasting $$ are based on what you order) The other one (that we took) was self service and you seat yourself (FCFS) in what they call Eugenia's garden. It's really amazing, the vibe. It's right overlooking the lake and tbh they don't impose a time limit on how long you can be there. You can order some food (choice between a charcuterie board and a flatbread platter). They have a large selection of wines to choose from. Highly recommend this place if you're in the region :)

Michael Z.

Yelp
Amazing wine tastings with charcuterie for pairing. Great ambiance and service. Would recommend and will be back!

Yelp
Really nice staff members and a gorgeous view on the patio (even with the rainy day we went!) We went for the wine tasting and they definitely gave generous pours. My favorite was the white Brut, being partial to a dry wine. Not a fan of the red.
google avatar

Yelp
It has gone downhill. We were ignored to get a tasting. So went in to buy wine. Stood in line 10 minutes. They kept saying "we'll be right with you". Then I asked if this was check out register. NO! It was in a different room so 11 of us went to correct room! No signage anywhere to direct us. We were impressed 4 years ago, but not this trip. Staff sure has bad attitude. A smile and hello goes a long way! But the scenery was beautiful!
google avatar

Yelp
This winery was one of our favorites on our wine trip to the Finger Lakes! Our server was super knowledgeable and spoke so eloquently about each of the wines and the cheeses on our charcuterie board. Speaking of, the cheese was delicious and so well paired with each of the jams and butters on the plate. Everything was carefully curated to match our wine tasting. The only drawback was we only got to try three wines rather than four or five that some of the other wineries in the area offered. But we loved the wine we tasted enough to buy a bottle! And I can't forget to mention the picture perfect views from our spot on the patio. It was shaded and yet we could still enjoy the sunny afternoon by the water.

Yelp
Just a wonderful winery with a great cheese plate. Found all their wines to be tasty and the tasting was great value (sampled 6-7).

Yelp
With all our wine stops in the Finger Lakes, I'm surprised with haven't found Dr. Franks before. Probably because it's not on a main highway. But it was well-worth following the GPS. We were greeted warmly on a Monday without reservations. Weekends may have been more difficult, but in this case we were offered a choice of either a ala-carte experience with food and beverages or an educational wine tasting at the bar. We chose the latter and were introduced to George who made the experience both enjoyable and interesting. Even as first-time visitors, his enthusiasm for the wines were contagious and we learned not only about the wines, but the history of the vineyard and staff too! For a reasonable $15 each, my wife and I could select five wines (and so we shared 10) with a few bonus tastings thrown in. We were not rushed and spent an hour plus enjoying the wines and conversation. It helped that we were the only tasting customers for most of the time and we had George all to ourselves. Dr. Frank's is lucky to have him as an ambassador of good will representing a respected wine brand. We purchased some of our favorites from the tasting and received a rebate on of one tasting fee plus a 10% discount on six bottles.

Yelp
Kicked off a girls weekend getaway at this winery, one of the only places that open up at 10am! Located in Hammondsport. This place has so much history and the dedication of 60yrs with 4 generations in the grape growing and winemaking in the finger lakes! Walked in and was asked if we had reservations, we didn't but we were still welcomed in. We were direct around back to place our orders and sit in the outside area. They have a lengthy wine list available. We all went with a flight of 3 wines for $12. Pours were generous. They also have some food options to compliment your wine. For my tasting I went with Blanc de blanc 2018, very dry.. not my favorite. Celebre was sweet and delicious. Muscat Ottonel 2020 was really good too. But this place it's all about the views, sitting outside with a bit of a warm breeze... perfect!
google avatar

Beth R.

Yelp
The wine was nice, but not the options on the tasting menu were not quite to my preferences, and the pairings on the charcuterie board were interesting, but not a great match for the wine.
google avatar

Ashok J.

Yelp
Dr. Frank has got customer experience covered. Great wines combined with a great setting and even great views. Loved the way the entire place was setup. Different kinds of seating and there are fun ones with swings. We were lucky to experience all given that we went as soon as they opened. There are quite some photo options available. And of course the wines were great!

Alissia R.

Yelp
Went there last Sunday for a wine tasting. George not only knew what he was doing but was a very welcoming person. We ended up staying longer than we planned. What a wonderful experience

Yelp
LOCATION: The winery is located a bit higher uphill than some of the other wineries around the lake so the view is absolutely breathtaking especially in the fall when the leaves begin to change colors. TASTINGS: Reservations were required for tastings but this allowed for a more organized and personalized tour of each station. There were never more than two groups per station at a time and it flowed rather well. Every pourer was knowledgeable and friendly. Each station had a different wine list to choose tastings from. WINES: No wine was a disappointment but the ones that stood out among the rest were the Rkatsiteli and Gewurztraminer. Your tasting is free if you purchase 4 bottles of wine which is reasonable and very easy to accomplish.

John D.

Yelp
View was amazing, wine fantastic! Had a charcuterie board was very tasty. Sat at Eugenia's Garden, very relaxing atmosphere.
google avatar

Cindi R.

Yelp
Breath taking views!! This is where it all started. I would highly recommend this be a definite stop for your finger lakes trip. The fall is less crowded and the change of season colors adds to the adventure. Be sure to leave time to stop in the historic town of Hammondsport.
google avatar

Yelp
Came back to Dr Franks this fall after a great experience this summer. Just wow! There were 5 of us in total. The manager Steve welcomed us and went above and beyond to make our experience special. We sat at a round table and enjoyed the knowledge our server Slavka had to share with us. She was ver informative and also left us to chat and enjoy. The charcuterie boards are 100% worth it- all local cheese and meats. Such a nice pairing to the wine! We left with our favorite wines and Paul was super helpful in the gift shop. Overall, a great time! I highly recommend

Yelp
My friend enthusiastically recommended this winery since it's one of the first in the Finger Lakes. Dr. Frank came to the US from Ukraine with a PhD in viticulture. Highlights of our tasting were the Rkarsiteli and an excellent Winter Ferment Gewürztraminer. Beautiful views and hydrangeas too! Friendly service and I love how they do a tower / rack of wine glasses for the tastings so you can go at your own pace. It's definitely appreciated especially when visiting several wineries and trying to keep a schedule of reservations.
google avatar

Sylvia R.

Yelp
One of the very reasons I chose this winery is because there was an awesome segment on the travel network channel highlighting them as one of the best in the Finger Lakes region. Much to my dismay, it was somewhat disappointing, because they were out of their "own" brand of red wines. I was also told, that I could not enjoy the view from the deck overlooking the vineyards unless you reserved a spot. However, the staff was very pleasant, welcoming and approachable when there were questions about the history, grounds or their facilities. I do believe I would drive past this winery on my next trail visit. Especially, when there are so many others to visit.
google avatar

Yelp
The originator of Finger Lakes wines he brought the vines from Europe knowing that the climate was perfect for growing the grapes for Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The vines are the oldest in Eastern US. We went late in the day without reservations and were told there was an hour wait for a tasting so we opted to sit in the garden and ordered our own tasting of three wines. The Garden also offers food including a charcuterie platter and a view of Keuka Lake. The wines here are sold commercially and are available at liquor stores at a lower price.
google avatar

joanne k.

Yelp
This is a beautiful winery on an offbeat road with a reputation for excellence. We had reservations for a tasting and were quickly brought to a counter with stools. We had a terrific knowledgeable woman serving us. We ordered a fantastic charcuterie plate since the rez was for noon. All 5 categories of wine were good - nothing outstanding but the history of the winery and other info was shared during the pour and that kept us entertained. The server, ambiance and quality of wine - all good. Price of some of the wines not worth it compared to some of the Rieslings we tried at Heron Hill and Keuka Springs. ONE KEY COMMENT: The stools with the wooden backs for the tasting set up were HORRIBLE. We are older and the discomfort of these stools was acknowledged by the staff and they suggested we mention to management before we left. Make sure you ask ONLY for a table or move to one. You'll be there for a while and we fidgeted the entire time. Took away from the tasting I thought. Less stars just because of the chairs.

Yelp
Do you have a reservation? If you haven't been to see Dr. Frank, post-pandemic, prepare for a shock. The Finger Lakes premier winery has gone full Napa. Free wine vanished several years ago when tastings went to $10, but now you'll need to book one of the three or so hourly tasting reservations available on Dr. Frank's website. If you reserved ahead, a wine "educator" will see you in the tasting room with the great views of Keuka Lake. No reservation? You'll have to go to the outdoor "Garden" where wines are sold for your enjoyment from a walk-up window, almost like being served at...a bar. You can enjoy your selections on the several picnic tables set up in the open-to-the-sky garden. This is likely a much more profitable setup than paying "educators" to serve the masses and then hoping for a sale, so I don't fault Dr. Frank for switching to this business model. Some other "tasting rooms" around the lake are basically operating bars that serve New York-made alcohol, but without all the licensing and zoning hassles of telling the neighbors "We're going to open a bar!" We were told the reservations for tastings in October were sold out "months ago," yet an unauthorized walk into the tasting area revealed it to be empty. Perhaps the "educators" were working remotely and doing online tastings? Dr. Frank's is the most well known and well respected winery on the lake, so they're entitled to choose a business model befitting their status. Luckily for us, the wine culture that has flowed from Dr. Frank to other businesses around Keuka ensures that we have many other options. The next time any of our guests want us to drive way up the west shore of Keuka, you can bet we will have reservations.

Yelp
We called ahead and got a reservation for a wine tasting as we knew this is a historical winery and really wanted to make sure we tried their wine. When we arrived, we sat on their large front patio. Once seated, the staff brought us a pen and the tasting menu. You are allowed to pick five wines to try. While you make your decisions on what you want to try, they give you a tasting of their dry Rose. This is the only winery that has ever given us a tasting to sip on while we make our decisions, and it was a charming surprise for this experience. Graham assisted us with most of our wine tasting. He was very friendly and helpful. I was very interested in all the bubbly wine, so Graham helped me narrow it down to the five I wanted to try. Linda helped us out while Graham was on a break and gave us a cliff notes version of the winery's long history. I can't believe I haven't talked about the view from the porch. You can see the lake and some of the vineyards from the porch. It is a breathtaking, peaceful, and picturesque landscape. We were here in early June of 2022, and the temperatures were perfect for us as they were in the low 80s. Now for the wine. My hubby and I both enjoyed the dry rose that we sipped on while we made our decisions for each of our tastings. We liked it so much that we took home a bottle. I immediately picked to taste the Resiling Nature 2019 and the Brut Rose 2018. I have never heard of a Resiling Nature, so it interested me. Then I asked for guidance from Graham as to three something new for the tasting, and he suggested the Blac de Balac 2018, Blanc de Noir 2017, and the Celebre. I loved the Brut Rose. It was clean and crisp with a perfect little dry and fruit finish. The Resiling Nature was also my favorite, so these are the two bottles I picked to bring home. The others I had were good, but not my cup of bubbles. My husband likes the Perlant Rose 2018 as it has fewer bubbles, so we also took home a bottle of it. My hubby tried the Eugenia Dry Riesling 2020, Prelant Rose 2018, Salmon Run Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc 2021, and the Pinot Gris. We enjoyed them all and would have become members of their wine club if they shipped to Georgia. We will keep checking on their website and look forward to the day that we can enjoy all their wines at our home in Georgia. Dr. Frank was our favorite winery of the six we visited on this trip.

Yelp
Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery was our favorite stop during our wine tasting trip to the Finger Lakes. Going in, we were already familiar with their wines and were eagerly looking forward to our visit. And they did not disappoint. Aside from the fact that their wines are probably THE BEST wines in the entire Finger Lakes, the instructional guided tasting which was offered was very educational and carried out in the smartest and safest manner we've seen compared to other Finger Lakes wineries during COVID times. The 45 mins to an hour of guided tasting consisted of different stations, indoor and outdoor, and was meant to create a one-way flow of traffic to eliminate cross interaction with other people, and to limit the amount of people in an enclosed area for a short period of time. At each station, a different staff member talked about the winery's history, wine making techniques, etc. At many Finger Lakes' wineries, it is not uncommon for the person serving you wine to only have general knowledge about the wines. However, at Dr. Konstantin Frank's, all the staff is incredibly well-learned and passionate about the wines they make. They also take the time to chat with you and do not make you feel rushed. The wine tasting is $10 for 5 wines and does not include the free welcome wine - a sweet and refreshing Gruner Veltliner. Of the 5 wines we tasted, we got to choose from a rotating selection of 15 different wines. Honestly, there was not a single wine that I did not enjoy, and I have to say, the red wines here blew me away. Finger Lakes reds to me drinks like diluted red wine and I'm not a fan, but the ones we've had at Dr. Konstantin Frank's (the 2016 and 2017 vintages) were impressive. Still, the best part of the experience is when you're learning and chatting with knowledgeable staff members who know what they're talking about. After the tasting, my husband and I shared a bottle of the Célèbre Rosé outside at one of their many picnic tables facing the vineyard and enjoyed the delicious complimentary snack mix given to us when we first arrived. If you do decide to visit, which you absolutely should, make sure to make reservations!

Yelp
Fantastic Signature Wine Tasting with Jack as our server. So personable! Lovely outdoor deck overlooking Keuka Lake for the tasting. Our tasting fee ($15/person) was waived when we joined the Wine Club. They ship for free! What's not to love? Our favorite wine was the Margrit Dry Riesling - sublime!

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite wineries in the area. You can do reservations ahead of time and try their quite large variety of wines. My recommendation is to go for the rieslings. I rated then 4/5 stars because their selection of snacks is somewhat limited. Highly recommend bringing your own.

Yelp
Do not waste your time unless you can come and hour an d half before closing. You cannot sample their wine. You can only purchase a bottle in which you cannot sample first.

Yelp
This review compares during Covid and post Covid experience. During Covid I really liked the set up where they had stations for each of the 5 wine tastings. At each station they had a staff member provide guests with history of the winery or the wine itself. It felt very informative and personal. After Covid, it's still 5 tastings for $15, however it doesn't seem as personal since the winery has gotten more popular. They still offer great wines. Reservations are highly recommended. If you buy more than 6 bottles, 1 tasting is free and I believe there is a small discount as well.

Yelp
I was so impressed with the wi es that I even signed up for the wine club, which is something I normally don't do. I could understand why people were put off with the formality, but the garden was very nice to sit in. The salads could be a little fresher, but the wines made up for it! Every one was very smooth!

Yelp
We had a wonderful time today at the signature tasting. I mentioned to our host that I loved sweet wines and she picked them out for me and got one out that wasnt on the menu. We bought semi-dry Riesling and the Salmon run welcome wine for home because they were delicious! They were all extremely friendly to us and our dog and gave him his own pet bowl too! The ambiance was modern and clean and the view of the lake was breathtaking. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
This is by far one of the best wine tastings I've had, even comparing with wineries in Napa. The attention we got felt very genuine and personal. The wines tend to be on the dry side since that is their specialty but were still great. The views were spectacular. Definately worth a visit if you are in this area.

Yelp
So we did the 1886 Food and Wine experience here and it was a grand time. We spent about 90 min touring the property with stops in the Rksatali vineyard, the cellar, and the dosage process. We were greeted with an unoaked Chardonnay which was my fave of the day. We had rksatali in the vineyard, an interesting Georgian grape, and a beautiful brut in the cellar. For our pairing we started with pickled beets and a Blanc de noir. For our second tasting we had summer squash with garlic sauce and gruner veltliner. Our third course was salmon with with perlant rose and finally reserve Riesling with cheesecake. Afterward we went to the garden and had some gorgeous cheese plates. Everything on them was spectacular. In the garden we tasted 3 additional sparklings including Riesling, Blanc de Blanc and Rose. For still we tasted the Pinot gris which was out of this world. The amber rkstelli which is so unique, and a gorgeous Gewurtz. I love this place and firmly believe you need to come here if you are in the area.

Yelp
Dr. Frank produces some of the best wines in the Finger Lakes and we always enjoy our tasting experience there. The staff are always knowledgeable and informative. Every time we go we learn something new (and we've been there several times). My wife and I went last weekend and it was their first weekend open since NYS on Pause took effect. Reservations are currently required at this and most other wineries in the region and the tasting experience was a bit different, but they did an excellent job of making everyone feel safe and comfortable. It was an enjoyable experience. Also worth noting, they do not have a restaurant or food available. Everything is neat and well kept. The only negative comments are really that it lacks some of the charm of some of the other wineries, but that is because it is one of the older wineries and the buildings are original. The newer wineries were built to entertain. That being said, it is still quite nice and not dated at all.

Yelp
Hands down our experience at Konstantin Frank Winery was our favorite this year! We made a reservation for a Monday morning right before the holidays. Even though we were ridiculously late, they didn't say anything upon check in and showed us right into their large tasting room with views over the lake. This wasn't a bar tasting, instead you choose your own table (high top stools). There was only one couple besides us, although another couple arrived later. The staff (Ryan) was very knowledgeable and amenable to talking about the wine with us. We each ordered a flight of 6 wines with very generous pours and added a local cheese and charcuterie board for $25. And then we stayed and sipped for 2 full hours! I was surprised with the breadth of different flavors in the wine and it was clear they chose cheese pairings to tie nicely with wine. We bought a bottle to take home and even got a restaurant recommendation for back home! 100% will return.
