Dr.Noodle N1 - Review - Kings Cross - London - The Infatuation

"Where theoriginal Dr.Noodlein New Cross feels like the place for a wholesome, low-key noodle soup lunch or dinner, its location in King’s Cross feels a little more useful. Which is kind of what we want from this area. Students, commuters, and the generally bedraggled peer into its canteen-like space and enter in the hope of a bowl of something nourishing. It will give you just that, and there’s a little counter set-up for solo slurpers in need of Sichuan beef broth after clocking off. The roasted duck or crispy pork isn’t the finest example so we’d stick to a bowl of hearty noodle soup and be on your way within half an hour." - Jake Missing

My mum and I went twice in 2 days, because the food is really THAT good & reasonably priced. We have tried their fried pork, shredded potatoes, special fried noodles, and braised pork rice. The portions given for ALL DISHES were generous, full of flavour, and very hearty. Special mention to the braised pork rice - it’s rare to find something that tastes so similar and authentic to Taiwan. Even while living in an Asian country, I can barely find one that’s as big a portion and as flavourful as the one here. Really as authentic as it gets. A pity we are moving onto our next stops and won’t be back here. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to have this again. Highly, highly recommend!!!!!!

It’s really nice to see a surge in Asian food spots in the local areas. Coincidentally I had a craving for Chinese noodles and happened to have stumbled across this place across the street from where I was. I ordered the spicy tomato egg pork rice noodles. Noodles were soft and a little bouncy. Just how I like it. Good portion of meat, well marinated. Spice level was tolerable. To my dismay, the veggie portion was rather disappointing. Very minimal bak choi in the dish. Despite this, it was a decent and quick meal out.

My friend and I visited the restaurant for noodles and were pleasantly surprised. While our noodle dishes (Biang Biang noodles and Chongqing Xiao Mian) were solid and satisfying, it was the BBQ roast meats that truly stood out. The crispy pork and char siu were exceptional. The char siu was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the crispy pork boasted an impressively thick, crunchy skin and well-seasoned meat. Though the crispy pork had a fair amount of fat, it didn’t bother me at all. We’ll definitely be back.

I went there plenty of times and ordered Beef Soup Noodles (the specialty) it really meant to be the specialty. Secondly I love the Noodles with spicy braised pork, tomatoes and egg sauce and chilli oil. Also tried the roast dishes which were also fantastic. Highly recommend everyone should try.

We ordered noodle with spicy, three meat combo, special fried rice noodles, Sliced kelp with Mashed garlic, Aubergine with pork with rice. The noodle with spicy is good, other food soooo terrible. Roast pork too much fat, the eggplant so bad and no taste. I've never eaten such terrible food. But they still think it's our taste problem, not their food problem. But they give us good price and deals. Won't go again.

Very tasty food, visited mostly by locals. The portions are big, although it feels they have gotten smaller in the past few weeks, although the quality is still very high. The staff is nice although can be a bit inattentive at times, but not something that would deter me from coming back!

DO NOT go to this shop. My friend had food poisoning from this shop. They served gone off beef!!! Their food safety is abhorrent. My friend went to this restaurant with her friend. They ordered beef noodles along with something else, but their beef noodle was sour and the beef had clearly gone off. My friend asked them to confirm and they indeed confirmed that the meat had turned bad. They made her another bowl but it was STILL bad. They tried explaining it away by saying it has *just* gone off… They asked to leave and didn’t feel comfortable having the other bowl. However, they asked my friend to pay for the other bowl of noodles.

Beef noodles were excellent! Broth was tasty, and adding the chili oil at the table gave it the perfect amount of spice.
