38 Museums Devoted Entirely to Food, From the Delicious to the Disgusting

"The oldest major manufacturer of soft drink concentrates and syrups in the United States, Dr Pepper was first manufactured and sold in the United States beginning in 1885 in the central Texas town of Waco. Considered the national drink of Texas, no trip to Waco is complete without a visit to the Dr Pepper Museum. Located in what was originally the Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company building, the Dr Pepper Museum opened to the public in 1991. The first building to be constructed specifically to bottle Dr Pepper, the Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company building was completed in 1906. Dr Pepper was bottled there until the 1960s. A private non-profit organization, the Dr Pepper Museum and Free Enterprise Institute is not owned or operated by Dr Pepper’s parent company, but its mission remains to educate and entertain the general public through the preservation, interpretations, collection, and exhibition of objects related to the history of this country’s soft drink industry. While not owned or operated by the parent company of its primary product, the museum does receive some monetary support from the Dr Pepper Snapple Group. The W.W. Clements Free Enterprise Institute works to educate school children in the state of Texas about the economic system that underlies American life. Using the soft drink industry as a model to teach students about producing, developing, and marketing products, the Institute has constructed an exhibit dedicated to Clements and his philosophy of life on the top floor of the museum. The museum, listed in the National Register of Historic Places as the “Home of Dr Pepper,” has three full floors of exhibits, a gift store filled with Dr Pepper memorabilia, and a working old-fashioned soda fountain. The gift shop used to sell Dr Pepper that was bottled in the oldest still-operating plant in America. Bottled in Dublin, Texas, the Dr Pepper was made with Imperial Pure Cane sugar and not corn syrup that is used by all other soft drink manufacturers. Dublin Dr Pepper ceased production in 2012." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

We had a great time visiting the Dr Pepper Museum! It was both fun and educational with lots of interesting history about one of America’s most iconic sodas. The exhibits were well put together and easy to follow with a nice mix of artifacts, photos, and interactive features. One of the best parts? We got a free soda at the end and it was delicious, ice cold, and made the experience even sweeter. If you’re a fan of soda history or just looking for a unique activity, this museum is definitely worth the visit.

Google
This place was so fun! It was also much larger than I expected it to be. There were three floors in the main building make sure to take your time and check out all the funky things from past decades like marketing materials, memorabilia and just pure nostalgia around every corner. After your done there make your way to the second building where you guessed it more stuff to check out and the soda bar! I got a Strawberries and Cream Dr P with cherry vanilla ice cream! So good!!

Went on a Saturday at the spare of the moment. They had only been open about 20mins. Wait was not long to get tickets and get inside. From start to finish the staff was very helpful and friendly. It is a self guided tour of 2 different buildings. The complete history of Dr Pepper and the company in Waco. Everything was clean and well kept. My younger kids 7 & 8 liked it but got a little bored toward the end. And were just focused on getting Dr Pepper floats at the end. I would highly recommend going to visit.

Google
I love it. I learned a lot and we were able to go at our own pace. Once you get to the end you entry comes with a free product but you have the option to upgrade and by other things. They also have an awesome souvenir shop.

Jennifer Newman

Google
Long wait for tickets on a Saturday, and sold out of the make your own drink experience. The Museum was more visually appealing to me with all of the bright colors. Dr. Pepper is the king of mascots! The exhibits were neat to look at. At the end of the tour, don't forget to get your free fountain drink!

🌟 What I Loved 1. Immersive, Interactive Exhibits The museum offers three floors packed with vintage bottles, ads, advertising memorabilia, and old bottling equipment. I loved learning about Dr. Pepper’s unique 23‑flavor origin story and the behind‑the‑scenes soda‑making process . Plus, the "Make‑A‑Soda" and "Taste‑A‑Soda" experiences were brilliant—fun, educational, and totally hands‑on . 2. Historic Charm & Preservation Wandering through the original bottling floor felt like stepping back in time. The newly revamped bottling room exhibit—“The People Who Made Dr Pepper”—made the story come alive through photos and equipment preserved in place . I was impressed by the bilingual exhibit “From Blueprint to Bubbles,” which highlights the building’s architecture and resilience—even surviving a historic tornado . 3. Classic Soda‑Fountain Bliss If you’re going to a Dr. Pepper museum, you better believe they serve the real thing—and they do. Admission includes a free classic Dr. Pepper at the beautifully restored vintage soda fountain. I enjoyed a creamy float while soaking in ambient 1960s-style décor—total nostalgia, zero regrets . 4. Family Friendly, Just the Right Size The museum’s compact layout makes it perfect for families and couples alike. My visit took a delightful 1–2 hours, just long enough but not overwhelming. It truly caters to all ages—with interactive fun for kids and fascinating history for adults . I especially appreciated that the soda fountain and gift shop are accessible without any admission, making it easy for a quick stop even on a tight schedule .

Google
Dr. Pepper has always been my favorite soda, but I had no idea it was created in Waco, where my father was from! (Any Bourlands out there? We’re probably related.) Brought my wife to see the Magnolia Silos and spotted the Dr. Pepper Museum, had to check it out. So glad we did! It was awesome: very informative, spotless, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Definitely well worth the visit if you’re in the area.

Google
The museum was very informative and educated about Dr Pepper. It was very fun to create our own soda. tried different flavor of Dr Pepper that was release before. I tried a float and it was delicious!! The gift store had many cute stuff. It is a little pricy.. Paid $10 for parking. $12 per person for the museum. $20 per person to create personal small soda. It was a fun experience but I wouldn't go back again.

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit to the Dr Pepper Museum. The staff were very friendly. We went around 2 pm and it was busy! They need to sell timed tickets like some of the other museums. They have a lot of interesting information to read. There are 3 floors and the hallways are narrow so be prepared to walk close to the wall. They have an elevator too if you need it. Now my family are the fans, so we stood in a very long line to get a cup of free Dr. Pepper. It's a small cup of the regular flavors that you can get at the store. So we paid $4 extra for a specialty flavor that we couldn't get in a store. I got the diet Carmel cream and hubby got the vanilla cherry. We enjoyed those. We skipped the gift shop we saw a lot of people with bags so they must have good stuff. Overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Yelp
Seen it grow from 1991! Used to give us free wooden coin for a free return visit because the second floor wasn't complete. Now it expanded with floors snd and an expansion across the parking lot. It's mainly Dr Pepper, but also includes all different types of soda history. Worth a visit if visiting the area.

Yelp
A must-see when visiting Waco. The history of soda and Dr. Pepper is fascinating, but including the local history makes this trip personal. I enjoyed seeing the original, which had been well used, along with the equipment ads and stories of past company employees. The convenience store space for items sold during different decades. I enjoyed the free soda at the end with the upgrade to a float in a souvenir cup. I did not take part in the two extra tours that could be completed, but both looked like fun. I will definitely do them on my next trip.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a blast at the Dr. Pepper Museum! It was so cool getting to learn the history and see all of the changes through the years. So much information that I didn't even know about. Loved that we could walk through on our own and explore, read, and learn. Entrance fee included a free dink in the sofa shop which could be upgraded. Of course I upgraded to a float. The soda shop was adorable and delish. This was really just a fun way to spend a Sunday. They also have a lab setup (will probably do it the next time) where you can make your own soda!
google avatar

Brandy C.

Yelp
My family and I had a great time at the Dr. Pepper Museum! As a fan of history and Dr. Pepper, the museum was very entertaining and informative. I enjoyed the old packaging that they display on-site, as well as the interactive aspects. Pricing was $12 per person (adult and child). Although the line was quite long upon entry, we never felt overcrowded by the amount of people walking around. The main portion is 3 stories tall, which each level showcasing different eras of the company. There's a gift shop where you can purchase various merch, including cane sugar Dr. Pepper. The second portion of the museum offers hands on activities and an expanded viewing room. It's definitely a fun stop to check out!
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
The museum is worth a visit if you're already in Waco or if you're a huge Dr. Pepper fan. The museum does a good job showcasing the history of the building, the drink, and the brand. I think the admission price was reasonable enough. We spent 1.5 hours there, but you could easily spend more time if you took your time reading everything. Seems fun for all ages.
google avatar

Anthony K.

Yelp
If you like Dr Pepper, you will love this museum. It's a tale on industrialization at its finest. There are stories of how the beverage made it worldwide into so many countries. The marketing exhibits are cool to view. Admission includes a small cup of Dr Pepper. It's possible to upgrade to a float, with original Blue Bell. I passed, but in hindsight wished I had partaken. :-). Included is info on 7-Up and Orange Crush
google avatar

Diane K.

Yelp
You will be set back $12 for the entry fee, not too bad for us as a couple, but what a hit for a family of 4 or 5. There were no military, AARP, or other offers...No discounts Interesting exhibits throughout. It took about an hour to tour, so plan accordingly. You get a small cup of DP at the end, made at a soda fountain. They squirt syrup, then add sparkling water. It was something to see in Waco.
google avatar

Vivian P.

Yelp
I loove Dr Pepper!! I would say it's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area/passing by. I wouldn't drive two hours for it though. They give you a small drink after the museum, and you can use it as $1 towards upgrading for flavors (not worth it) or a dr pepper float (possibly worth it).
google avatar

Cassie L.

Yelp
This was the perfect day date! Parking is across the street in which we paid $10, but it's gated so we were fine to leave our car. There are so many restaurants to choose from as well.
google avatar

Taylor J.

Yelp
Dr. Pepper museum was cool if you're really into the history of the drink. Very wordy and lots to read- but we enjoyed our visit and our floats at the end. You can tell they are actively trying to make it more exciting!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun stop in Waco, Texas! I'm a Dr. Pepper enjoyer and many of the people in my group were too. Had no idea that this uniquely delicious carbonated beverage originated from here. There is a LOT to look at and read but we were speed running the museum as there was much to do later on in the day for us. It's about $12 for entry and each ticket comes with a free soda at the end. You can choose any of the standard flavors such as the classic Dr. Pepper (diet or sugared), Big Red (tastes a bit like the gum), IBC Root Beer, or 7UP. OR you can use your ticket to get $1 credit towards a menu upgrade. It's unfortunately one or the other, not both, but oh well! Nice to get a to go cup beverage at the end of our trip. We decided to add in some fall flavor to our diet Dr. Pepper, caramel and cranberry. Cranberry was quite good, but the caramel tasted disgustingly burnt and sweet, even after being mixed, so I'd skip that. The first floor is the entirety of Dr. Pepper's inception as well as the history of soda in general. There's information on the actual factor there, the well/pit where they would toss random trash and other things (lol), and the lives and duties of the workers that made the drink. The second floor is a mix of modern day Dr. Pepper, how Dr. Pepper did globally (huge spoiler alert, NOT VERY WELL LOL), the architecture of the building itself, other historical figures that allowed for success of the company, and a theater room showing various Dr. Pepper commercials asking people the meaning behind them. There is a separate building to the museum as well as a separate gift shop (unfortunately quite overpriced and the designs were a bit bland). In the separate building there's historical Dr. Pepper merchandise, 7UP's history, a room where they do an interactive show (gotta pay extra for this) and the actual fountain drink area. Overall a quick and fun stop with loads of information. PS. Imagine including Dr. Pepper history related to Japan and NOT have a Steins;Gate reference, kinda cringe.

Yelp
I am a fan of Diet Dr. Pepper and I grew up with my father drinking Dr. Pepper so I wanted to stop here for the nostalgia. We were able to get street parking close by which was nice. There was a line to get into the museum but it moved steadily. There are several floors to tour which is nice. It felt crowded to me which I didn't enjoy. We visited on a Sunday and the Magnolia venues are all closed so that may be why it was so crowded. I enjoyed the soda at the end.
google avatar

Stacie A.

Yelp
Highly recommend if you are a DP fan or just looking for something to do in Waco other Baylor and the Magnolia stuff. We recently visited for spring break so it was a bit crowded but the ticket lines moved quickly. The museum itself was just okay. Lots of interesting facts but it gets a littke boring on the upper floors. The make your own soda feature was our favorite though. You have to pre-pay for it on the website and you leave with a custom soda of your own design. The onky drawback was It did not come in a soda bottle, just some generic glass bottle. Still worth the extra cost!
google avatar

Paige H.

Yelp
This is a really cool experience in the Waco area, especially for Dr. Pepper lovers, such as myself. No, this isn't comparable to the World of Coke, but that's because this museum offers information and history of multiple types of sodas. The museum itself is 3 floors, there is a gift shop, a soda fountain, and a couple extra soda experiences for an extra charge. Don't forget your free small Dr Pepper at the soda fountain with admission! We decided to buy the tasting experience. We were not prepared to play a trivia game but we came out on top!!! It was actually really fun, and we got to taste 6 flavors of Dr Pepper. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Benji T.

Yelp
DR PEPPER!!! This is the one place where a Dr Pepper nerd like me belongs. Came here on vacation and boy it was great. Explore and look around. Free Dr Pepper with admission. 20 bucks for admission. Gift shop a little overpriced but that didnt stop me from buying a lot of stuff.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
If you're curious about Dr.Pepper this is a good place to visit to get some history behind it. Lines can get long and it'd be helpful if they had more than 1 register for everything. Maybe setup an appointment time so they can keep from long lines in the heat. We did the self guided tour but they do offer other experiences. Overall not a bad place to kill some time if you're in the area or passing through. It's in downtown so couple of other spots to checkout afterwards.
google avatar

Moriah D.

Yelp
From entering the museum to the hands on experiences, I loved every minute here. The energy there is bright and vibrant. I did both hands on experiences, Make a Soda & Taste a Soda. Both were a 10/10! The staff were exceptional and very friendly. I also had the salted caramel ice cream float on my way out. This is the perfect activity for a family or a date!
google avatar

Yelp
Dr Pepper museum at Waco is one of the kind. Waco is the city that we pass by from Austin to Lake Palestine. Since this city have few things on our agenda, this Dr Pepper museum was one of the target. I cannot believe Dr. Pepper origin from this small town. The entrance fees to visit is in the medium but they allow for one Dr. Pepper product drink. You can have them made it on the spot with fresh carbonated water with their flavor. The museum is two floors. They have old time Dr. Pepper bottles with different shapes to current can good. They even have different language advertising short film.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
Crazy busy during eclipse weekend but likely a lot easier when the city of Waco isn't packed for a special event. A line around the block in the morning but it cleared up later in the day and I was able to see some of the history of Doctor Pepper. (I've already been to the Pepsi pharmacy in New Bern NC.) I wouldn't say "I'm a Pepper" but I can understand why some people are. The museum has plenty of history of this iconic beverage and you can even buy up to make your own mixed soda or purchase a Doctor Pepper float. Gift shop was pretty good too but definitely not cheap. Worth it for the pop culture buff. [Review 819 of 2024 - 574 in Texas - 21850 overall]

Cathrine S.

Yelp
Fun museum, full of character and memorabilia. We stopped in because we were in town visiting The Silos, for $12 you can tour the 3 floors of Dr. Pepper history. It's a well maintained museum, I noticed online that they offer a few additional tours, including soda, making and soda tasting, which I can see being fun for both kids and adults. At the end of the tour you also receive a sample of soda from an old soda fountain made right in front of you! We enjoyed our time and would recommend if you're into the history of the company and soda.
google avatar

Krystal T.

Yelp
I had no idea my favorite drink was made right here in Texas! I learned so much about the history of pharmacists back then and their fascinating beliefs about the healing properties of tonic water. It was such an exciting and educational experience--definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Nikitha C.

Yelp
first time here. Don't compare it to the Coca Cola experience other wise you'd be disappointed. I really didn't learn anything! What would've been cool is if one person gave a little spiel abt Dr Pepper before we entered like they do at Coca Cola. The line to the "free drink" with your wristband is too long. Make sure you save the receipt to show them to get the drinks. Parking across is $10. If you can find parking on the street you can do that for free. I
google avatar

Walter H.

Yelp
If you're in Waco, TX you should go to the Dr. Pepper Museum! Located in the ORIGINAL Dr. Pepper factory, the museum is full of interesting information and displays. There is also interactive things to do. They also have a gift shop with lots of items. Lastly, you can get ice cream, floats or various flavors of Dr. Pepper. More interesting than I expected - I definitely recommend going!
google avatar

Rita L.

Yelp
Having too much fun making my own soda today!!! So much fun!!! Make your own flavored soda for $10!! You have 3 tries. Raspberry, lime and 7up combo is good :) you can ask for separate cups and mix and match on your own!! You can also get a free drink at the end or get $1 off menu items (get 2 scoops of ice cream for $4 or a root beer float for $5). Fun for kids and adults, good family activity to do if you're visiting!
google avatar

Alyssa V.

Yelp
A very cool experience with a lot of information! We got 2 free drink vouchers (which we didn't use because the line was so long for the drinks). We went Saturday during the day and there was a good number of people and just decided skipping on a free drink. We didn't realize they had times you could book for your own experiment of making your own soda and flavoring, so we would like to do that again when we come back. Everyone was very nice. They had a nice gift shop and hangout area in the middle of the facility.
google avatar

Hassan G.

Yelp
While in Waco, TX, we stopped at the @drpeppermuseum. such a cool spot, with history, old machinery, and transportation vehicles on display. one of the parts of the museum that I enjoyed the most was the international section, in which they have advertising signs and tv commercials from all over the world, and bottles/can of different brands owned by Dr Pepper. also, there is a soda shop/store selling floats and other drinks. if in Waco,TX, highly recommend checking this museum out
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
Great little museum which is a must for a Dr Pepper fan! Are you a Pepper? This spot near the Magnolia Market is a great walking distance break. For a small $10 entry fee you can to walk through 3 floors of Dr Pepper history. Everything from the founding fathers of Pepper to the machines and worldwide presence of the soda. The entry fee allows you a free Dr Pepper soda in the Fountain shop area or $1 off anything else off the menu which includes the irresistible Dr Pepper Float. And if you get a large Float they give you a free souvenir cup. Lots of photo opportunities and of course the gift shop is full of Pepper Lover merch. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Lorena R.

Yelp
Definitely a 1 of a kind place. If you love Dr Pepper, you have to visit! The building is 3 stories and the artifacts/exhibits are well spread out. Plenty of antique machinery/memorabilia/processes. Also plenty of worldwide merch on display. You get a free drink in the soda fountain shop with the purchase of your ticket. You can also sign up for a soda making class (online, before your visit). I do wish they had Dr Pepper from around the world to taste test (even though I'm not a fan of the drink).
google avatar

Ricka M.

Yelp
It was nice seeing the history of the Dr Pepper and how it transitioned over the years. Some throw back bottles, cans, snacks. Loved how they showcased constructions of employees who really help make the brand famous. Staff was friendly and attentive albeit the busyness of the day. The team members were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that I looked forward to having a specially made soda. However, the machines were not working. We were provided a can soda which was warm, flat and flavorless.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
I think if you love Dr. Pepper and actually sign up for the activities, you will have a blast. I'm not a fan of Dr. Pepper in general, but my family and I visited the museum because we were visiting Waco, so why not? I did enjoy most of the exhibits and all the timeless soda cans and posters. There was even a small theater room that played old commercials. However, after a while, it seemed all the same and I got a little bored. At the end of the tour, you get a free beverage at the soda shop. I wish it was a free float instead. Overall, it was a cute museum, but I personally thought it was just okay.
google avatar

Daniel P.

Yelp
closed christmas day: no entry, no problem. been here before and not much has changed in 31 years except for the ownership of the namesakes brand when I stopped in on the way to a wedding in san antonio and toured the facility taking pictures and having a pretty good time checking out all the history and memorabilia and stuff. thought it odd at the time that the Dr Pepper folks distanced themselves from this endeavour but whatever sinks your fleet fellas. hard to say with certainty if the absence of corporate sponsorship is the cause or result of the wandering narrative and lack of solid branding, regardless it's a pleasant distraction.
google avatar

Vu N.

Yelp
Visited last summer and had a great time learning about the history of Dr. Pepper. The exhibits were fun and nostalgic, and the soda fountain was a nice treat at the end. It's a must-visit for any soda lover or history buff passing through Waco!
google avatar

Ari E.

Yelp
It's a small, cozy museum with a decent amount of things to look at. There's a lot to learn about the history and people behind Dr.Pepper. We took our three kids, ages 6-12 and they enjoyed themselves. I wouldn't go again, just because I feel like once you've seen it, there's no need to go back. But i don't regret going at all, and I recommend a visit.
google avatar

Alexandra R.

Yelp
It was bad. our tour guide with the Ramona flowers haircut was... I think she should consider working at the local Starbucks because on the brighter side, it looks like she'd make a mean Matcha Frappuccino. And not to mention i had to sell a kidney to afford $21 SOCKS from their gift shop. Idk lowkey mid and the staff are RUDE. Like bruh chill out how are you gonna work around sweets all day and be the exact opposite, maybe try some of your overpriced product. I would not recommend a school trip here, teachers and principals please save your time taking students here to this overcrowded place.
google avatar

Keith P.

Yelp
I when there with the request of my daughter. I even told here about the well where they got the water from and since it has been closed off. Now you are able to step onto the plate and see how far and deep the well is. The best part is getting fresh drink of Dr Pepper. Now the wait is long and be sure to keep you admission ticket to get a free Dr Pepper. They even have Dr Pepper cotton candy. But there is a lot to do there so make time for the experience.
google avatar

Kelli T.

Yelp
The exterior of the museum is amazing; it's 3 floors of interesting facts, many that are shared by interactive exhibits. Definitely could spend hours in there if you experienced it throughly. Next door, the building with the neon Dr Pepper sign, you'll find a working automated 7Up bottling system and more information and exhibits. With a $10 museum admission, you can pay another $10 to attend the Make Your Own Soda Lab session. So much fun and I loved my soda Your admission also gets you a free beverage or a $1 off a float at then soda fountain. Be ready to find parking on the street nearby or pay $10 across from the museum.
google avatar

Robert V.

Yelp
We visited Waco on a day trip from Fort Worth. This was our last stop. The museum was small and cute, but the best part was the Liquid Lab. Definitely reserve a spot to "Make a Soda". Worth it! The drink line can be long so bring your patience. My only complaint was the temperature. They had the heat cranked up.
google avatar

Justin T.

Yelp
We decided to do a little day trip to Waco and thought we gotta stop at the Dr Pepper Museum while in the area. It is not what of those destinations where you plan a whole trip around, but more of a novelty stop along the way wherever you may be going. Dr Pepper is one of Texas' greatest contributions to the soda game. Either you love it or you hate. I for one crave a Dr Pepper from time to time. I have friends all over the states that love this delicious drink as well. For 10 whole bucks, you can check out this museum and even get a free fountain drink at the end. If the price was any higher, I might have questioned going here. It is one of those walk at your own pace museums with lots of interesting facts and tidbits about Dr Pepper and it's origins. There also add on tours and experiences for an additional fee such as Make-A-Soda, Taste-A-Soda and even a Paranormal Tour. We took our time and read alot of the information at the exhibits and still made it out of here in about an hour or so. Would I come back? The only way I could justify coming back if out of state friends or family want to visit. I do not see them adding anything to draw back visitors unless you are that much of a Dr Pepper fanatic. It was definitely worth the 10 bucks for a one time experience!

Yelp
While everyone is having the Coke vs Pepsi debate, I am always rooting for Dr. Pepper. Whenever I see Dr. Pepper at a restaurant, I get excited because that is my favorite soda. When I found out we were going to be passing right by the Dr. Pepper Museum on our way to Austin, I made sure we could make a quick stop. The price to get in is reasonable. There were a lot of interesting facts and memorabilia in the museum. They had old advertisements and bottles. You learn the history of not only the Dr. Pepper company, but soda in general. There were a couple cute places to take pictures. They have a gift shop at the end with a few good souvenirs. Across from the museum they have the little soda fountain where you can see the actual packing conveyor belt for the bottles. I'm pretty sure it's just for show and not operational though. It was still kind of cool to see. At the soda fountain, you can order a Dr. Pepper float, which was really tasty. It wasn't particularly special, but very yummy. You can also try different flavors if you want something more than just the standard. Overall, it was pretty neat if you are a Dr. Pepper fan, but not necessarily over the top or extravagant in any way.
google avatar

Christian R.

Yelp
My wife and I loved learning the story of how Dr. pepper came to be! We didn't know what to expect going in, but we left satisfied and more knowledgeable with all of the information that we read. I would say this museum is more for adults rather than children--like most museums, there is A LOT of reading involved. I'm sure kids could look around at all of the pictures and gadgets/machines, but there really is so much to read and learn. We found less and less people as we went up to the next floor. There are three floors with different timelines/focuses. If you decide to come and actually read all of the historical information like we did, you can expect to be there for 1.5-2 hours, otherwise if you skim through everything you'd look at 30 min or so. $10 general admission gets you a free drink at the end!! The merchandise at the gift shop was pretty cool too. Overall we enjoyed our visit and have a greater appreciation for Dr. Pepper and the people behind the business!!

Yelp
To be honest, I wasn't too excited about going to the Dr Pepper Museum, but I'm so glad I did! The museum is full of interesting information and fun facts about Dr Pepper's history, and I found it surprisingly engaging. Tickets come with a free drink or $1 off the menu, and by the end of the tour, my mouth was definitely watering for a Dr Pepper. I tried a fountain Dr Pepper, but the hot Dr Pepper with lemon was a unique surprise - SO good! The gift shop is adorable, too, with tons of Dr Pepper-themed items. Highly recommend a visit!

Yelp
I was really expecting more of a museum but what they had was great. The staff was friendly. Honestly I wish we just went in to order our Dr Pepper float without the museum. You only save a $1 on a float if you do the museum tour. If you have kids the extra classes and activities looked fun. I believe they charge extra for those but probably worth it. The patio was a nice place to enjoy our float. It was a nice get away from the chaos inside.

Yelp
I never knew Dr Pepper is from Waco until I was researching for things to do while I was at Magnolia Silos, which is nearby walking distance. The museum is small and underwhelming. Nothing fancy or high tech, but it does give you a rundown of Dr Pepper's history, example of ads around the world, and where it's a product placement in films. The admission comes with a drink and you get to see the soda jerks making it, which is a bit neat that it doesn't come straight from a can. Overall, this place is just okay. Only go if you love Dr Pepper or if you're at Magnolia Silos and want to visit another Waco attraction that's an easy walk around the corner.

Yelp
I keep thinking about the museum, so it is surprising that I am only giving it 3 stars. Cons: confusing. There are tours that you can't see under tours on the website. But they are called something else, like 'experiences' in a different section. The infi inside the museum is chaotic at best. Different brands and geographical factoids are conflated into hard to read displays. They focus on Schweppes, Fanta and other things, but I am not sure how those things relate to Dr. Pepper. And bottles. My god! The bottles in display cases spread all throughout is baffling. So the info could be better displayed- more videos perhaps since folks aren't always able to start in one place and read everything because of other heads in the way, etc. The displays individually are cool, like the texts on the lifesize curouts of the workers or founders, but again lots of people are featured, their roles in the timeline or to each other is not always clear and they are hard to read with lots of people walking in front of you. Pros: the buildings are cool. They are full of light, but that also makes it hard to read the displays. The make your own soda experience was very cool. Knowing that I have been there is cool since I love Dr. Pepper!

Yelp
Dr Pepper represents Texas, and the Waco Museum captures the history of Dr Pepper. Parking for the museum is a paid lot across the street. Hubby and I visited on a Saturday, and the museum was very crowded to the point that it was hard to see all of the displays. A fountain drink is included in the price of admission or $1 off of a fountain float. The line was very long with almost a 0:30 wait, but the float was worth it.

Yelp
We had such a fun experience at the Dr Pepper Museum. I think the only thing we missed was the different flavors IN Dr. Pepper! We got to create our own sodas. We had such nice people helping us prepare the sodas. The Museum is filled with all kinds of history in two gorgeously preserved buildings.

Yelp
This place is really fun. Four floors of Dr. Pepper brand history with some older history of soda water, and local Waco history. $10 might seem like a lot for a brand museum but they put a great deal of work into high quality displays and keeping the place immaculate. The store is worth a visit if you are a fan of Dr. Pepper. The soda fountain has a few more museum displays. Museum admission gets you a free soda or $1 off a float. It would be most economical to take the free soda and pay full price for the float. Get the large float and you keep the cup. My son is a Dr. Pepper drinker, which is why we went. This place is a gem and I recommend for anyone interested in pop history.

Yelp
They really nickel-and-dime you, asking for donations around every corner, in addition to charging for admission. You can get a free Dr Pepper or root beer with your entry, but if you want any of the fun flavors (which is kind of the point), it'll be an extra $5 each. The museum is kind of boring and they try to upsell you on different experiences. There's no active bottling plant or anything interesting like that, just mostly old photos and soda cans. There are worse ways to spend 30 mins of your day, but we were a little disappointed.
