If I could give them zero stars, I would do it! My daughter's school picture is awful. It looks blurry. I am sure he did not use the proper settings. It is just a horrible picture, and what I paid for that package is not worth it. I seriously take better pictures, as an amateur, with my Canon SLR camera. That is what I am going to do. Thank you for ruining my daughter's 1st grade picture!!! I hope the school doesn't use your service again.

I recently had the pleasure of working with DR Photo in Littleton, CO, and I couldn't be more impressed with their service. From the moment I placed my order, the professionalism and dedication of their team were evident. Special recognition goes to Kendra, who handled my order with exceptional care and attention to detail. She ensured that every aspect of our request was met, and her friendly demeanor made the entire process a breeze. DR Photo's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is truly commendable. DR Photo did a fantastic job capturing the essence of our kids' baseball team. The photos were vibrant and perfectly framed, highlighting the joy and energy of the players. One of the standout aspects of their service is the thoughtful inclusion of a buddy shot and a team picture for the coaches. This added touch shows their understanding of what makes these moments special for both players and coaches alike. I highly recommend DR Photo for anyone looking for top-notch photography services in Littleton, especially for youth sports teams. Their work is nothing short of outstanding.

So far my experience with DR Photo has been horrible, they were the photographers for the little league my son plays for and they were rude to him and in general on picture day. Then they send an email that the photos are ready to view and the link says the pictures are not available for viewing and on top of that you get free shipping if ordered by the day the broken link was sent late in that day and I'm trying to look at them thev day after the email.

I do not like to leave bad reviews but when you charge such an indecent amount of money for a few school pictures, the least I would expect is for the pictures to look acceptable. My daughter's pictures are all blurry and low quality. Never again.

I would like to give them zero stars. I ordered a digital photo. Digital!!! One month later the passcode to download that file has still not been sent to me. The company never replied to my email and when I called a person who "isn't working there" right now because they don't do anything during the holidays answered their phone and was unable to assist me. I had hoped to send the photo with Christmas cards which is why I ordered a digital copy a month ago. But due to the terrible customer service and ineptitude of this company that will not be possible. It is the first time the daycare my son attends has used DR photo and it certainly be recommended to be the last. Not only do they not send photos on time. They also don't answer their phones or return emails. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as I have still not received a product I paid for a month ago. Terrible company, terrible customer service. I sincerely hope they go out of business so that no one else has to deal with them or have their money taken and no photo ever received.

We've been extremely unimpressed by this company and as I've talked to other parents from our school, nobody has had a positive comment to make about them. Its almost like it is a given photos from DR Photo will be very poor quality. My daughter's first photo had very poor lighting. She said the photographer was short with her and was rushing kids through the line. She had a little better experience at re-takes but here we are 2 months later and I am still trying to get the proof to order a photo. I'm beyond frustrated. The one reason I gave them a 2 and not a 1 is I have had someone answer my emails in a relatively quick turnaround. I hope the high school has a better photo company than this.

Took school photos of my kids at Coyote Hills. Paid them some unknown amount several weeks ago (can't find receipt, nothing was included in the little packet we get), and photos are fine (not great, not bad, whatever). It's a school photo - the kids get one every year - so my expectations are that the photos will be more about capturing a good likeness than making my kids look like fashion models. These photos meet that expectation just fine. What irks me is that the prints we received have a DR Photo logo/watermark on them. Why?? Does advertising on my kid's pictures really drive sales? Are these watermarks the secret to DR Photo's amazing growth in the school photos market? Nothing like paying good money for photos with advertising on them.

*** UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT *** Troy is not only an excellent new leader of this company, but an amazing person. I had a horrible experience with the last management team in which I ordered digital photos of my child but never received them. DR Photo would not return calls or emails and took my money and ran. I was utterly devastated. After more than a year of trying to track them down, I had given up until just recently when I decided to call and try one last time. This is when I was placed in touch with Troy and he changed my life (sounds dramatic, but these pictures meant everything to me. I didn't want my money back, I wanted memories of my son back). He vowed to me to do everything in his power to find these lost pictures of my son that I had purchased and apologized profusely, sharing his own disgust with how I was treated (and basically robbed). He asked me to give him time, and to be honest, while I appreciated his sentiment, I did not hold hope he would be able to retrieve these now old photos. Then, I got a vm and an email with the old pictures and I just broke down and cried! Troy stayed true to his word and invested much of his time not only to find me the pictures that I ordered, but any others that I needed that he had managed to pull as well. Thanks to Troy, DR Photo is an entirely new company who actually cares about their customers and follows through on their word. THANK YOU TROY, FOR EVERYTHING!!

Yelp
The quality of customer service, production, and the overall services improved drastically in the past couple of years. Mistakes do happen, just like with any business, but Troy (manager) and the team do their best to make things right. As a past employee of the company, I saw the work that was put into this company on daily basis. They answer everybody who calls or emails and they definately do want to give their customers a service that is worth their money. DR Photo works with thousands of people, but unfortunately happy customers rarely leave reviews.

Tomiko H.

Yelp
They never contact you back. 1/5th of my daughter's body was cut off (not centered) and no one contacted me back. I also can't access my digital photo download. "It doesn't exist".

Yelp
Our schools have used this company for school photos for years and I DON"T UNDERSTAND WHY! Their photographers could care less what the picture looks like. My child actually had a BOOGER sticking out of his nose and they took the picture anyway! That is just one incident of many. The customer service is HORRIBLE. I called AND emailed over two weeks ago and still have received no response. I honestly don't understand how these people stay in business.

Yelp
I have been undergoing breast cancer treatment for about a year. I during pictures days, retakes and ordering, I wound up having 3 surgeries in 3 weeks. I missed every deadline. I called and the owners waived every fee and personally delivered my portraits and products. It meant the world to me and I will never forget the kindness.

Yelp
Slow processing. Class photos are individual children and are photo shopped together. The pictures are flawed. Not worth the $12 photo. A high school kid with a camera phone could do better. We will never purchase photos from them.

T F.

Yelp
This was our first time using DR Photo, hopefully our last... We'd used Lifetouch with our previous school so that's what I'm comparing to. I usually order the digital download with copyright and do my own prints. Digital download with DR Photo is $28 vs. $12 with Lifetouch. Plus, if you don't order pictures *before* picture day, DR Photo considers it a "late" order and dings you an extra $7. With other photo places you can see a proof and decide if you like the picture or not before ordering anything. I found DR Photo's background options limited too, head shots only. With Lifetouch we could order standing pictures and plenty of background options to choose from. Will order this time and chalk it up to a "learning opportunity", but will not be ordering with them again and have expressed my opinion to our school.

Yelp
It's been a month - no refund from DR and they're "still looking for my daughters photo." I'm not holding my breath, I just want my money back.

Yelp
I have been more than pleased with DR photo. Yes they work with a lot of kids and schools so mistakes are bound to happen but I had an incident where we did not receive my sons fall photos. It took me awhile to get a hold of them to let them we did not get them. I emailed them and they got back to me super fast. They have been more than helpful in getting my order sent to me. Thank you!

Kristen S.

Yelp
Photos have generally turned out decent, but here are my complaints..... They nickel and dime you for everything it seems The customer service is slow as molasses It takes ENTIRELY too long in this digital age to receive your prints...extremely frustrating. If you have a good option for session photography, go with that first. DR would be a fine back up option.

Yelp
Well... I've decided to change my review and give these guys an additional star. I had originally posted many of the same frustrations that everybody else expressed. I did finally receive my photos. I'm not going to go into all of it again. It seems to me that DR Photo has too much on their plate. Dan was polite when I finally got a hold of him and he profusely apologized. All I can say is you guys really need to get a handle on this and most importantly, you really need to call your customers back!!! Stuff happens. But when you take on a huge contract and don't follow through, it's bad business. Fix your voicemail, and hire somebody to call people back and get stuff handled. Thank you for finally coming through.

Yelp
Update: nine days ago I received half of my order. The other half has not been delivered. Nine days ago I contacted this company and asked when I could come by and pick up my other half. There has been NO RESPONSE OF ANY KIND. I emailed again today. If they do not return my inquiry by next Tuesday I will be paying them a visit. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss Lifetouch. Our school switched from Lifetouch to DR Photo this year. I had hoped this would be a positive change and the idea of supporting a local business held great appeal. However, fall photos were no better than Lifetouch (and some of my kids' friends' photos were worse!!) and more expensive. Spring photos were absolutely abominable in comparison to Lifetouch - which did a great job with spring photos last year. DR Photo chose an extremely awkward pose for every student and cut off their legs despite the fact that the chosen pose was standing like Captain Morgan. For class photos, this company decided to have each child face the camera head-on with their shoulders squared back (a terrible angle, just look at your drivers license and you'll see why). This was done individually and then each class would be PHOTOSHOPPED TOGETHER. Totally defeats the purpose of a class photo - inorganic, and a waste of time and money (again, these spring and class photos were priced higher than those of Lifetouch). To make matters worse, we ordered class photos for my kids as part of tradition and they don't have an exact date as to when to expect them. When I inquired I was told by Barbara (customer service) that they were still printing and "should be" given to us by the end of the school year. Lifetouch, again, had them to us last year by May 3 - the expected date of delivery. It's a real shame that this company doesn't care about its customers or its reputation. As a photographer myself, I am trained to recognize quality and understand ethical business practices. If you wish to compete with larger companies such as Lifetouch you must either be artistically and technically superior or you must have cheaper rates and fantastic customer service - or honestly, both would be optimal. Silly gimmicks such as photoshopped class photos and tacky backgrounds isn't what customers want. We want our photos affordable and on-time. Despite being a local company I cannot recommend this business in any way and as a voting member of the PTA highly involved in volunteering with my children's school I will be requesting that we return to Lifetouch next year - again, something I never thought I would say.

Christa H.

Yelp
The web site is abysmal and there's really nothing more to say about that. And with 4 children in school for 8+ years, I have yet to get a decent photo from them. With today's technology, surely it isn't too much to ask to look at the preview before moving on to the next student.

Yelp
This company took photos for my daughter's high school last August. It is now January 21st. Despite calling, I have never received the pictures. Of course I've already paid. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Melissa S.

Yelp
This company is a DISASTER! They do not respond when they have made errors. The class pictures for our school were a mess! The sixth grade photo with a male teacher had the kids names listed, but the matching photo was the first grade class with a female teacher! The fourth grade class had the clinic aide shown as the classroom teacher and the classroom teacher wasn't even in the photo! The students were photographed individually and photo shopped into a group picture. Every student was the same height. Some kids had really strange body proportions- really long necks. The color in the individual pictures were strange too. The faces looked gray and corpse-like. The wait time for pictures was very long. Class pictures were taken in the early spring and pictures did not arrive at the school until the 2nd to last week of school. There is no excuse for this type of business. If you make a mistake, fix it. The students deserve to have a nice picture of themselves and their class.

Tracey R.

Yelp
These people suck! Wouldn't let me say what I needed and out words in mouth. My son's pictures better come out right and I better get all I asked for. These schools need to provide cap and gown so you can go wherever you want instead of these non-professional people. Troy still sucks.!

Heather D.

Yelp
I finally got my daughter's photos and I am thrilled with them. Chris went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of and I am thrilled that he did. Her pictures are beautiful.

Yelp
Yet another student in middle school and DR Photo did NOT deliver. Two weeks to get a pw for a digital photo and the pw does not work. Sent an email and it was sent back undeliverable twice. Opened up the second package sent home for the same student/ same day and another email is referenced. Sent an email to that address as no one picks up the phone. Horrible service! I don't know why the middle school uses them. Lifetouch is SO much better and their prices are half.

Suzanne W.

Yelp
Worst school pics ever--poor color and posing. I could have done a better job with my phone and my eyes closed. Didn't respond to inquiries by phone or on their website for 3 months...then had the nerve to see if my customer needs had been met by an email....sounds like damage control. Will never order school pics from them again if they continue to be at my child's school. Will be lobbying for new company to do school pics...somebody probably got a kickback for using them.

Demetria C.

Yelp
My son is homeschooled and this is the first year I have sent him on picture day to the local elementary school. It has been months and I still have not received my photos. I call and no one ever answers the phone and the voicemail is always full. I have sent emails that have been unanswered. The school said that several parents did not receive their order and we missed retakes. Paid entirely too much money and extra to have photos shipped to home for this kind of service. Terrible company.

Rebecca L.

Yelp
I ordered photos on line for my 2 students at Rock Canyon HS, I paid the $5.00 to have photos shipped to my home. I have not received them yet although other friends have. I tried to leave a voicemail, but their mailbox was full (handy) and have emailed about 5 times, with no response. I do not know what to do, other than camp out of their doorstep. I am out $45.00 have no photos and as beyond frustrated. I have informed the school, hopefully they can shake them loose.

Mrs P.

Yelp
I have no idea why Cimarron middle school switched to this company for school photos. To begin with, they were so disorganized for picture day during registration. The wait was nearly and hour and a half long! Once you get to the front of the line the DR photo staff were rude. MONTHS after the photos were taken you finally get your school pictures...not even the right package!! The photos are extreme close up in nature and are so poorly lit you can barley see who is in the photo! There is no customer service and their site is rinky dink armature so that you can't just fix the problem yourself. Lifetouch is so much more professional and you can work with your photos on line. WHY did they switch to this shoddy photography company?? I am guessing the owner of this crappy photography outfit is friends or relatives with someone at the school or on the school board. I hope they do not use this company again and anybody considering using it for their school or special occasion should think twice or more about it. No customer service, bad web site, unorganized, wrong packages, poor lighting....just the worst I have ever seen

Lori H.

Yelp
I would not pay for any photos of your kids through Dr-photo. I don't know how they got a contract though the schools. Last year I paid for retouching, it was never done. I did get another set sent to me and a refund, but only after a series of calls. Again this year, I paid for retouching and it wasn't done. I have emailed and placed 2 VM messages and have not heard back. Their customer service is terrible. I would suggest to take your kid to a quality photographer. The school system should review their contract with these people.

Kari B.

Yelp
Like the others, I have been trying for a month to receive my daughter's photos. They did send me photos of another child, a boy. I have left multiple emails and phone calls with no response. Sometimes their mail box is full and I can't leave a message. Terrible company.

Derek H.

Yelp
They did student photos for my daughter's school, and I haven't heard from a single parent who thought the results were even "OK." Many parents, including us, want our money back, but we can't do anything to fix our kids' disappointment at how horrible the photos turned out. The kids' skin is grey-green hued, and the photographer didn't do any direction/posing at all, so the kids look odd, with strange head angles and disheveled hair. We paid for the digital photos, but their code doesn't work. Please shut down this business.

Colleen B.

Yelp
Is there a way to give them zero stars? well I have been trying for over a month to get a reprint of my son's photos. The photo is horrible lighting, looks like he has little white barrettes in his hair, they reprinted but they did not make the corrections. I am so angry with them. They need to be removed from Cherry Creek School district school photographer. Now I have two sets of horrible photos. I have called about 7 times to get the photos reprinted and corrected. AWFUL horrible should not be in business.

Niki C.

Yelp
I have had problems with my children's school photos three years in a row. I have never received a response after multiple emails and phone calls. Glad to hear our school won't be using them again.

D J.

Yelp
It took a month and half to get my daughters school photos. They never sent them with the first shipment of the kids school photos. They would never answer the phone when I called or it would say press 0 to leave message then just disconnect you. I sent email after email, finally I was told they would be sent out on Oct 2...called Oct 19th (finally someone answered) and they still weren't sent out yet...didn't receive them till Oct 23rd! The school even gave me the owners phone number, which he would never answer and continently his mail box was always FULL! I hope the school doesn't use them next year!

May J.

Yelp
This year, DR Photo offered CD's in my kids schoolsl, what we received was a piece of paper telling us where to go to download the photos... NO CD as we had purchased. So I finally was able to get to a PC with a CD writer and the photos are "not found" REALLY???? Where are my childs photos, that I purchased with CASH??? Still no CD - even the envelope shows the package purchased was Super CD. Even the Customer Service person says they just didn't change the flyer so what I thought I was buying, was not what they planned to provide. That is not just #falseadvertising but its also #fraud Which is intentionally accepting fees for a service they had no intention of providing. #epicfail

Terri N.

Yelp
This company is a Bad Joke! There photo's are terrible, and it took 5 months, several phone calls and emails to get an order from them and they sent me the wrong picture, they offered to comp my pictures for this year and then sent only one of my student's pictures and it all began again to try to get my daughters pictures. Customer Service is terrible and all of my mom friends said the pictures they got were horrendous, weird colors, terrible looks on their kids faces. If you have any say, don't let your school hire this company.

Kristan A.

Yelp
After several attempts at contacting this company to get my child's fall photos (they cashed my check 2 months ago), I still have no photos. NO one at this company has bothered to respond to my voice mails or my emails. After the initial photo day in September, no photos for any child arrived at the school prior to the retake day. Many apologies were made and we were told that we would get a calendar for compensation. Two weeks later my child's pictures were not in. I called the school and was told they were sent home (but my child's never came in). After leaving a voicemail and an email for DR Photo, I got no response for 2 days. I called again and wonder of wonders got a live person. She had no record of my child's order (did I tell you they cashed my check in September?) but that they would send it to my home that same day and would add not only the calendar but a magnet too. A week later, we still have no pictures and we are on final re-takes (I don't know what they look like, so do I want re-takes????) and no answer to 2 voice mails. You would be better off taking your child to JC Penney and getting your pics there. A Groupon would make the costs comparable and you would actually get your pictures. So far, I have a big pile of nothing for my money and apparently they have no intention of returning that back to me. Lesson learned.

Karolyn K.

Yelp
I purchased our daughter's High School pictures on-line on August 14th. Paid with a credit card (so they have my money). I began calling around the first of October to check on the status. ALWAYS have to leave a voice mail as no one ever answers the phone. Twice they've called back and assured me they will put a rush on my missing photos. Still waiting. I don't know how they get away with this because if you purchase anything else on-line they do not charge your credit card until the item ships. Much like another reviewer wrote, the picture is so close up that it's all face and no shoulders or nice sweater (why dress up?). Going forward we will upload one of her numerous selfies to the Walgreens App and have our pictures printed by them. **10/31/15 UPDATE: I have requested a refund of the $10 paid for pictures not received. Of course no one has called me back. I am pursuing this through my bank as I think this company is scamming people and most folks will give up because of the hassle. Not me though. Simply on principle I will pursue this to the end.
