We were a group of nine bikers from Orange County who stopped by for lunch. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and the service was respectful and well-organized. The drinks and beers were excellent and enjoyed by everyone in the group. The food quality was average and could be improved, but overall, it was a positive experience. A nice spot for group gatherings and a relaxing break during a ride.

We had an amazing time here. We were starving after our day time activities with our daughter and stopped in around 3:30. We ended up ordering the draft Republic burger and the shrimp salad to share between my husband and I and got our daughter some pasta. They split our food for us and the portions were perfect. The food was so delicious and certainly did not disappoint. We were both super satisfied with our meal and so was our daughter. Our server Kayla was amazing and just overall so sweet. She made sure we had everything we needed and while we aren't dessert people, we said yes to her recommendation of the skillet brownie sundae. It was so amazing. Overall, just an awesome vibe, great service, and delectable menu. Would love to return.

Google
A fun stop for beers and pub food. The wall of taps behind the bar is impressive, but not all are in use since the beer list was surprisingly short given the number of taps they have. Most beers are from SoCal, but there are some other west coast craft brews available as well as the usual big name beers. Food tasted standard, but was on the expensive side for what it was. Beer also trended to the expensive side too. Service was slow.

Google
Great food! They had a nice selection of ciders. Lots on tap. Bartender was great. Food was amazing.

Google
This place is always delicious. We've been a few times and each time we've gotten new items. All delicious. Wonderful site, lots to do. Open floor plan. You don't feel cramped and the service is top tier.

Google
Wanted a steak and a beer, found a steak and several beer options!! Steak was cooked perfectly and the chimichuri sauce was out of this world!! Beer selections were plentiful! Sat at the bar, wasn't very busy, but the service was a little slow would be the only thing bad I could say about the place!

Michelle Harrington

Google
We had a wonderful time here — very family friendly with tons of TVs and fun arcade games to keep everyone entertained. The bartender was super nice and made us feel welcome. The food was yummy too — great spot for both kids and adults to enjoy!

Google
There was potential for a better experience with a bit more effort. I was eager to make a purchase, but the staff seemed hesitant, which ultimately influenced my decision not to spend.

Yelp
Would come back again and highly recommend for a fairly priced food menu and drink options. They even have 3 electronic goft swing areas although pricey, recommend coming on Thursdays for the golf cause it's half off those days of the week. For those not into the electronic golf swinging with the big screen, they have plenty of fun game machines for the kiddos or even teenagers to play. Large open seating areas and plenty of seating at the bar with tons of TVs. Would come back & the staff here was very friendly!

Yelp
Service is very slow and not friendly at all (Sunday evening). I hope they are better on busier nights. Only one of three bartenders was familiar enough with the selections of beers to make recommendations. Tried the Belgian Golden Strong Ale Delirium which was excellent and a recommendation. Also had the Bitburger which is an old favorite from my time in Germany. Also had a surprisingly good Blood Orange Hefeweizen from Firestone Walker. For dinner I had the Peppered Steak Salad which I would highly recommend. It was outstanding and I think it was so good even vegans would love it. Very cool vibe with all of the taps on display! However with the lack of friendly service I think I will pass on this place the next time I am back in town. Just not worth the effort to get another beer! And the final straw, was watching a rugby match and all of a sudden it changed to women's pickleball. No one else was on my side of the bar and some idiot decided that watching pickleball was better. I asked to get the rugby back on and you would have thought I committed murder. Then later on the split screen two were occupied watching the same worthless basketball game. Why don't you ask what your audience wants and accommodate them.

Yelp
I have ate here a few times and it never disappoints. They have a large beer and drink selection so much so that I was having a hard time choosing. I settled on a pear cider beer which was great. I sat at the bar and the service was quick and good. I ordered a beyond burger and it came with fries and a small salad. It was a large amount of food and awesome that it came with a small salad. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Stopped by here with a friend who recommended this spot because we both had our dogs. It was great location overlooking the wetlands, although parking was a little tough. It's large space with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great place to watch a sports game with so many large screen tv's. The service was fast and friendly and the beers and food both were refreshing and tasty.

Yelp
Carlsbad Draft is a favorite restaurants for us to come and visit. The food is great. The service is fantastic. Angie and Nick are some of the best servers. They are very friendly and attentive. I always order the draft Republic burger, second favorite the loaded brisket french fries appetizer. It will not disappoint.

Yelp
Let me start off with why I give it 3 stars, the place has potential for more stars, if the restrooms weren't so horrible. I always look into the cleanliness of a place, and the bathrooms have major sewer issues, it makes it stink horribly, and worse it was so dirty they need major cleaning. Another reason for 3 stars was our service, our waitress we saw at the beginning and at the end no personality nor effort, she didn't want to be there I get it, but show up and at least check if your table needs refills. Now the 3 stars is for the actual food, nice quantity for happy hour prices, the food was really good too no complaints there. I just wouldn't go back until those restrooms get some much needed TLC. We always wash our hands before eating so a clean place to do so is a necessity for us, please do better in cleaning.

Yelp
Angie is soooo fun! She knew her stuff! Her recommendation was awesome! Will come back for happy hour.

Yelp
Service was 5 stars Food was pretty average TVs and ambiance was 5 stars Ordered Onion rings - way too skinny. Should've been cut thicker. So it tasted really greasy by the third onion rings Draft Republic burger was okay. Lacked something but was probably best dish. Still prefer Islands burger Fries - were seasoned and just okay. Fried really well Sliders were just okay. Surf and turf quesadilla - very greasy tasting. Might be ok if you share and just eat one. Maybe they should go easier on the cheese. If it was chicken breast it would balance the fat Overall I much prefer Islands and I'm not a chain restaurant person Aioli sauce was salty

Yelp
They have a good happy hour. The wings and fries were good. Brussel Sprouts were good but too much balsamic. $19 for a Buffalo Trace Old Fashion is crazy, won't order that again. Our waiter did a great job

Yelp
Do you struggle with commitment? Have friends visiting? Don't like beer? Get bored of the same drinks? Then come to draft republic! I paid by the ounce for over 10 ciders and 4 wines and 3 beers that I got to pick. Spacious seating and tons of variety. It's like a drinking arcade and you get to choose. Good location when walking in the cute downtown area too. I would go for drinks after a nearby dinner.

Yelp
What a great spot to unwind, grab a few drinks, and eat delicious food! Came on a Thursday evening at 5 pm with a large group of friends. We had a reservation and got seated immediately. It's always challenging serving a large rowdy group but our server was super friendly and efficient. She not only walked us through the drinks and food menus but also made sure our drinks, appetizers and food were always flowing throughout the evening I started with a hard cider then a whiskey sour to go along with the Draft Republic Burger. The burger was decadent with an egg, bacon, cheese, and brioche bun. It also came with delicious sides of fries and salad. The vibes inside are lively and chill with various arcade games. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
A great spot to watch sports, came here for Monday night football and it was plenty of seating, so no problem with getting a seat right away. Service was great, our server was nice and friendly and made sure to check on us periodically, so that we can watch the game without her being in the way. the food was really good, we had the wings and fries. The only thing I wished, is that they had deals for game night, but besides that, would go back if I was in the area
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, fun golf for the kids and tons of TVs to watch sports on. Genevieve was our server, and she was friendly, attentive, and gave excellent service to our large party!
google avatar

Yelp
Can't believe I just paid $19 for a terrible "bag" Cesar salad that would probably be $3.99 at the grocery store. all you need is a decent dressing, and enough of it to cover the lettuce and it would be 100% better.
google avatar

Yelp
Angie is a rockstar! Friendly, helpful, with Great service and not to mention great food! This is a go to spot for my wife and I!

Yelp
Fun place to grab a drink and watch a game. Good food. Excellent service from Kaitlyn! Recommend checking it out!
google avatar

Vicky K.

Yelp
Chill place for groups and families to grab a bite and get together. There are games and bar vibes to cater to everyone's needs! One can easily drop $40 in the claw machine in 5 minutes so it can get pricey pretty quick.

Yelp
I came in for dinner with my boyfriend and everything was great! The ambiance is lively and upbeat. There are so many TVs to watch sports from. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had the western burger and it was sooo good. I also had the brownie skillet, but it was a little too salty for my liking. I look forward to returning here soon!

Yelp
Went for a simple beer and was met with an unenthusiastic mustached man that's seemed to have no patients for us. Other than that great beer selection.

Yelp
We had Kaitlyn as a waitress, and her service was PHENOMENAL. She was very attentive to my families needs, fast responses & a contagious laugh! And the food? AMAZING! The Brussel sprouts were delicious. I will definitely be back and hope to see Kaitlyn again!!

Yelp
We needed a place to grab dinner before the drive back from Legoland, and Draft Republic more than fulfilled all our requirements. It was easy, casual, and family friendly, with great food and drink for the four adults and four children in our group. The arcade situation was just gravy on top. We walked in with our huge party at around 7:00 on a Sunday night. The near-empty parking lot boded well, and we had our pick of tables in the giant brewery/arcade/golf simulator/restaurant. We ended up at a tall table in the main arcade area, which wasn't ideal for high chairs but was otherwise perfect for drinking beer while the kids crawled all over the various games. We spent an hour and a half at Draft Republic, and only 20 minutes or so actively feeding the children. The place was huge, with a lot going on, but it didn't have the desperate feel of a restaurant that doesn't know what it wants to be. Draft Republic was relaxed and fun, with plentiful entertainment in addition to good food and good vibes. Service was friendly and fast, and no one cared that we had four boys running around the arcade zone. They were the only ones there, and they had an absolute blast. It was cheap entertainment, too, as only the oldest of the four knew the difference between the flashing, colorful display screens and actual gameplay. (He did get to play, and my older son played with him.) The toddlers were just happy to rotate steering wheels and climb and sit on fake motorcycles. They even thought the ATM was a game. There was an extensive draft selection, which included several Draft Republic brews. My husband and I tried the house Mexican Style Lager and Blonde Ale, I believe, and both were super satisfying. I was also impressed by my dinner, a shrimp po'boy with seasoned jumbo fried shrimp, creole slaw, and Cajun aioli on a toasted roll. It was delicious, served with a small house salad and seasoned fries with housemade spicy garlic ketchup. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips, and our sons ate their spaghetti noodles with butter and parmesan, ordered from a robust kid's menu. We plan to go back to Legoland, and we may end every trip with dinner at Draft Republic. The food and beer hit the spot, and it keeps the party going. We all ate and played well, and the kids fell asleep about as soon as we got in the car.

Yelp
The space is huge! There is a Great wrap around bar. They have all kind of seating from the Tall table tops, long bench and tables, to regular dining room tables. They have video games of some sort if you like bringing the kids. They also have the golf simulator. $90 an hour OR $45 an hour at happy hour. They have more than enough draft beers. And abundant if draft beers. If you like beer you will like it here. But don't fret non-beer drinkers. There is a full bar to make you your fancy cocktail. The food came out so fast! My companion ordered the burger that come with fries and a salad. He loved it! Devoured the whole thing. You can totally share it. The plate is huge. I ordered the pulled pork sliders. Now let's note this... each slider is the size of one inn-out cheeseburger. But I managed to smash two. Had to take the 3rd one home. But my plate also came with a salad n fries. My love child she ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. She opted for no blue cheese with extra wing sauce on the side. She also consumed that whole thing. And it also came with. Salad and fries. And we ordered a side of Brussel sprouts. Drizzled with balsamic sauce with tiny cubes of ham. It was great! The service was fast too. Granted we went on an early Friday evening so steady but no wait for anything. Go! Have fun! Enjoy everything about this place.

Yelp
This place is definitely a lively, sporty vibe. Came in at 5:30 on a Wednesday and were seated immediately. Plenty of big groups and tons of TV's everywhere. There was a Wednesday whisky and wings special, though I only paid attention to the fact that you get $3 off their pound o' wings, which would make them $13.95 as opposed to $16.95. I was tempted, but that will have to wait for another visit. We got buttered noodles with Parmesan for the kids ($7.95). Yeah, they enjoyed it because butter and carbs, but it was not a good deal for the price. Won't order off of kids menu again. Husband and I both ordered their restaurant week menu, with him substituting his appetizer for a beer. Food came out maybe 5 minutes after we ordered; it was absurdly fast. This short wait time turned out to be an anomaly. Chop chop salad was pretty good. Not overly dressed, acidic, plenty of crunchy vegetables, dried figs. I liked it. I can see how it would be better with blackened shrimp, which is how it is served on their normal menu. Their burger was huge, and served with a lightly dressed side salad and little basket of fries with seasoned ketchup. I thoroughly enjoyed all of this, though the burger was exceptionally messy to eat. There is certainly no dainty way to go about this beast. Fine with me, I'd been craving a juicy, greasy burger and this was perfect. Fries were delightfully crispy but I would've appreciated the option to have just regular ketchup instead of the seasoned ketchup. It got to be a bit too punchy and spicy after a bit. Our waitress initially told us they didn't have bread pudding, so we both got the carrot cake as our only other option per the restaurant week menu. Then she let us know after we were done with our entrees that they were actually out of the carrot cake and only had bread pudding. That was all fine, but what was kind of frustrating was the 15-20 minute wait to get this dessert out to us after she we were done with entrees and she had let us know about this mix up. I'm not sure what was going on with the kitchen, especially given how quickly our food was out. Our kids were losing it, so we had to ask them to just box up our bread puddings to go, which should've taken no time at all but was still maybe 8-10 minutes after asking for them to go. It was odd, but not a dealbreaker. We did not like the bread pudding at all. Densest, heaviest, almost mochi cake-like consistency most one note block of bread pudding I've ever had, and I usually love all kinds of bread pudding. There was a distinct layer of bread that was at the top (over baked and a bit burnt on top) and a dense "pudding" on the bottom. Should have been more uniform and definitely should've been fluffier/lighter in texture. Served with a side of very sweet caramel-like sauce. Disappointing we waited for it, wouldn't get this again even if it were the only option off of a prix fixe menu. Overall, we did like our main course burger and I liked my chop chop salad plus the initial fast service was a positive enough experience that I'd rate our visit as closer to a 3.5 than a 4. There is definitely room for improvement in certain areas but maybe it was just a weird night, and maybe restaurant week isn't the right thing to base a restaurant off of. I'd definitely come back for a full experience all said and done. I think they've got it in them.

Yelp
Had a fun time here for dinner. Ordered some drinks, some salads, brisket fries, and buffalo cauliflower. Everything was great. Service was excellent. It was a Saturday night, so it was reasonably busy, but we were seated immediately and everything was easy, tasty and just really fun.

Yelp
Better than usual bar food, friendly service, community tables with a few booths, outdoor seating, great selection of beers, and yummy old fashions.

Yelp
I always passed this place but decided to take the family. Great staff and tons of TVs. In addition there is an arcade and indoor golfing. Great food and fun size bar with anything you could imagine. Highly recommend for family/adult dining.

Yelp
The service was absolutely amazing. Our server Kaitlyn M was the best. She is probably the reason we will be coming back. The food was alright and the drinks were wonderful. Our server had a group of 14 and never once did any of us have to question where our order was. Can't wait to go back for Monday Night Football.

Yelp
Came here with my girlfriend and we had so much fun. Great place to watch a game and have some beers. Our server Angie was super helpful and nice and gave great recommendations on food. Will be coming back for sure!

Yelp
Do not bring a large group to Draft Republic. The plentiful TV screens and beer taps are tempting, but the service and food are as bad as it gets. In an empty restaurant on a Tuesday night, it took 30 minutes to get my first and only beer of the night. The waiter just vanished and left our group with empty glasses for long stretches. This is a beer bar that brags of 101 taps but is unable to sell beer and bring it to customers. As they say, "you had one job...." As for the food, some things like the Caesar salad and the sliders were solid. Unfortunately, Draft Republic sent out one of our main proteins in an overcooked/burnt state. A clerk at a truck stop wouldn't dare put chalky, desiccated chicken like this into their hot display case. I politely showed the manager the burnt chicken, and his managerial response was a one word "sorry" in passing followed by nothing. If you don't believe me, check out the picture I posted. It's the only shot I got because the manager saw me taking it and finally took away the dish to replace it. Amusingly, he was rude when the remade chicken finally came back, sarcastically offering to hand me the hot tray and saying "is this good enough for you?" Let's just say that for $40 per person, basic service and edible food might be expected. For some reason we got neither. It might have been a bad night but it doesn't get any worse than this Draft Republic.

Frank M.

Yelp
Angie was awesome!! Great beer and food. She was helpful and had a great vibe. We will be back for happy hour
google avatar

Turin E.

Yelp
They removed the arcade ping pong and foosball that made this a family friendly destination. Haven't been back since. It's a decent sports bar with a few screens but seating for any larger event leaves you with basically no spot to view. One large screen in the main room. Food is decent.

Izzy P.

Yelp
I loved my experience at Draft Republic Carlsbad! My server Angie was so nice and super helpful, she helped me pick out the right beer for me.

Yelp
Great restaurant!!! Our waitress Geneveve was awesome!! Food and drinks were great!! The golfing and games were great as well..

Yelp
We have been eyeing this place for a while and my husband and I finally got to go out on a date night! We had such a fun time. They have a lot of TVs so any sport you wanna watch you'll be able to. Our server Makenzie recommended the pepper steak salad for me (it's was amazing!) and my husband ended up having the sausage sampler and we shared the start republic burger. She was so sweet, and you could tell she was having fun working which honestly makes such a difference. We are so happy we had our date night here. highly recommend!

Sebastian B.

Yelp
The service at Draft Republic was spectacular. Kaitlyn was our server and provided excellent service the whole time. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
It's a fun atmosphere with good food. Our server, Geneveve was very attentive to everyone even though our group was large and spread out across multiple tables. Great service.

Yelp
We came on a Wednesday night we ordered pretzel bites for an appetizer, a southwest salad , the slider trio with no pickles and two kids meals and a beer, the server went missing for most of the time the pretzels bites never came out we got of food and my sliders we covered in pickles waited for about 20 minutes until the server came over and I told him about my slider and that we never got the pretzel bites they re made my food but the flavor was so bad I couldn't eat it, my husband order a beer never got it just wasn't a good time for us. They use Ipdas to take the order so I was surprised there was a lot of stuff missing.

Yelp
It's always great when I'm in a different city and I get to try new restaurants. I happened to be in the Carlsbad area and got to try Draft Republic. The food runner, Kyra, and our waiter, Nick L., absolutely went above and beyond to serve our large group of 12. We were fortunate to arrive during happy hour, which allowed us to explore the delicious offerings from their happy hour menu. We almost tried everything on it and divided the food among the whole group. My attention was really drawn to their outstanding drink specials. My beer enthusiast friends were happy with the 16 oz house beers for just $6 and the 26 oz option for $9, which I've never seen anywhere in SoCal. We sampled a wide range of dishes, including the mouthwatering beef sliders and sausage sampler, the savory crispy buffalo cauliflower, poke tacos, brussel sprouts, Bavarian pretzel bites, and the chop chop salad. Each meal was well-cooked and flavorful. The vibe at Draft Republic was warm and friendly, showing an excellent fusion of local charm and contemporary design. They do have lots of TVs playing local sports so this has to be a great spot to hang out on game day. Given the size of our group, the service was very impressive. In addition to ensuring sure our orders were correctly taken and that our eating experience was excellent, Nick L. and Kyra were also patient and attentive. The vast beer menu provided a wide variety of options, even though I may not be a beer enthusiast myself. Additionally, I was surprised to find that they have a good non-alcoholic selection as well as beer flights for those interested in trying a variety of flavors. I'll definitely go back to Draft Republic the next time I'm in the area after this wonderful experience. It is a must-visit location since it offers amazing food, drinks for my companions, warm service, and a lively atmosphere.

Danyelle F.

Yelp
We come to draft Republic yearly for our son's birthday on our way to Legoland. The food is good. We usually just grab a couple apps. The buffalo cauliflower and chicken wings are yummy and the staff has always been pretty friendly. It's nice to sit down. Enjoy a couple cold beers and some food while the kids entertain themselves with the games.

Yelp
Love the outdoor open space for folks to lounge and plenty of large sitting for big groups. We just came after an outdoor event and wanted a quick fix and drinks before heading back to OC. Turn out this place was the right place. Right off the freeway from the flower fields...... We managed to snag happy hour and tried the house ipas. Nick, our waiter, was specific and tell us what we should or should not drink. I got the ballast point ipa and it didn't disappointment when receiving the 26oz. Order poke tacos Brussels sprouts and sausage sampler. All were delicious. Definitely coming back

Yelp
Had a great date night here! Amazing food! And great service by Mackenzie! She was friendly , attentive and suggested some delicious appetizers for us! They have plenty of TVs to watch all the games! I'll definitely come back!

Yelp
Draft Republic was a perfect spot for the end of a long Legoland day with a toddler. After leaving the park, my family was hungry and we found this fun, sports restaurant with a good beer list and tasty food. I had the ribeye cheesesteak with the onion rings and the wife got the southwest cobb salad. Large portions and satisfying food. The little guy enjoyed the onion rings and ended up taking a lot of the shaved ribeye from my sandwich. Would love to come back if we come back down to Legoland or the Carlsbad area. Recommend and would love to do the golf simulator at some point!
google avatar

Dennis K.

Yelp
The Cohn's do an amazing job wherever or whatever they do. Such a variance in restaurant offerings and every one is so good. This Draft Republic is not different! Great service, food and the plethora of TV's make this all inclusive fun. Relax and watch in a wonderful environment and have any style of beer you could imagine. Go and enjoy the food and the service watching whatever your heart desires. Congrats Cohn Group!

Yelp
Solid family friendly place for food & drinks. On a late Saturday afternoon they had a live singer with guitar playing good music. All our items were very good. The pokie tacos with a crispy wonton shell were fresh. The southwest Cobb salad was fresh & huge. The skillet brownie for dessert had 2 big scoops of ice cream & easily fed 2 people. And of course the selection of beer is great! Service from Mia was excellent.

Yelp
We were out in Oceanside once again for a soccer tournament. Wanted some drinks and good food so I turned to yelp. We were going to stay in Carlsbad and this place was about 5 minutes from our hotel. We arrived Sundays around 4ish. Argentina and Colombia were going to play the final so we saw a lot of people wearing jerseys. We grabbed a table and started with some drinks and wings. The wings and drinks were good. We then ordered our food. It came out pretty quickly. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive despite the place started to fill up. The game was delayed so I took my two kids to the arcade. Bought $20 worth of credits for them to split. They played while I went back to the table to have a drink with my husband. We left after the game was delayed even longer. I'm sure it would have been a fun time staying to watch the game. We would definitely go back.

Sam M.

Yelp
Great salads, had the steak and chicken Cobb. All very good with good beer selection. I've always gotten great service at the bar.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm a snob with cheesesteaks, family from Philly, but dude. Insane. All their other food was insane too but the cheesesteak is easily the top cheesesteak in California and easily top 3 overall in my book. They even have bread from amoroso's and it tastes fresh. I'm not gonna lie dude I think d'allesandro's is overrated anyways and this place would actually clear them literally any day of the week in the same city. That was so good

Yelp
This was a nice breathe of fresh air while visiting San Diego. Very kid friendly, some of the games were broken but not the end of the world. Shelby was as our waiter and big kudos to her for taking care of me and my family during dinner. Always checked in on us and brought everything on time and We will definitely be back for dinner the next trip we take to Carlsbad. Thank you Shelby for the hospitality and great service!
