10 San Diego Spots for a Great Old Fashioned | Eater

"A sports bar with an eight-lane bowling alley, a full-swing golf simulator, an arcade and a dog-friendly patio is cool; but a sports bar that also makes a great Old Fashioned is an absolute dream come true. The Big Kid Mac N’ Cheese is a no-brainer here, where house-smoked brisket, roasted poblanos, and sharp cheddar smothers tender cavatappi pasta. Its classic flavors are enhanced by notes of sweet oak and hints of smokey chipotle found in Elijah Craig Small Batch." - Mary Beth Abate

Google
This is my go to place for group gatherings. The place is big and has different games in different areas. There are multiple sections for both indoor and outdoor dining. It’s nice that they have a QR code for each table. We can scan the QR code and order whatever I want for my group and pay for only my tab, no need to wait for the check and split the check among many people/groups. It’s very convenient. There are many food and drink choices ranging from burgers, fries to salad and ceviche. I liked their burgers, fries and chicken tenders. They things for everyone to do and eat. The parking garage offers two hours free parking which is great. I would go back whenever I’m in the area.

Google
Great location with an upbeat vibe. Lots of outdoor space for friends get together and family meetups. They have games like cornholes that you can play outside. They also have a bowling alley! It's a wonderful place to hang out! Service was so so. We all individually ordered our food using the QR code. The server came to drop off the food that didn't bother to tell us the name of the person who ordered the food. We had a big party and we all ordered similar food. It got quite messy and it was very inefficient. Food was mediocre. I was expecting so much more. Looking at the pricing of the food, I was expecting quality food. I had surf and turf quesadilla and it was greasy. Salad was okay but it was overpriced. Cauliflower appetizer would have tasted so much better if it was grilled/roasted. Lastly I tried the s'mores dessert and was extremely disappointed that it was placed in a plastic jar. would have been nice if it was in a mason jar... Overall, I think I will come back if I just need a place to hang out with friends. I wouldn't come back for the food/beer.

Google
Great place and good atmosphere. We were seated near the arcade area with lots of traffic and noises. Good selection of beers and drinks. The food looked good. I picked the Fairy Mozzarella Burger which was a big disappointment. For whatever reason it had raisins in it which is not mentioned on the list and Mozzarella was bon existent. One key issue with this burger was it lacked any spiciness. The ketchup on the side was more spicy than the burger. I would not recommend this burger. Our party had a variety of items and they all seemed good and enjoyed them. The place also offers arcade games for kids and adults to enjoy.

Google
Super fun place to go and have a lot of different games, food and drinks. Full bar, very high-end alcohols and all of the different food is yummy. Also a good brewery, enjoyed all the beers. I had the burger with a beer combo for happy hour is the best deal ever!

Google
Visited 3 years ago and last night's visit was just as great. Service was friendly, food came out quickly and delicious. The beer selection was more than enough. I had the Philly Cheesesteak for $21.90 and included garlic fries and small but delicious salad.

Just went in for a few beers, buts it's a great environment. The staff is very helpful and inviting. Great addition to CSUSM👍

Google
We hosted a dinner here for our wedding party after our wedding rehearsal and it was incredible. We had about 30 people and did the half bowling alley buy-out where we had a few bowling lanes, the golf simulator included and the ability to use drink tickets and order food for our guests - buffet style. We had the absolute best time. Not only was the entertainment a fun touch, but the food was talked about by all. The wings were incredible and the white pizza was a fan fave. The event manager checked in with me when we were approaching our food and beverage minimum to assist us in knowing where we were from a billing perspective and the staff was absolutely wonderful all night. They even made a sign for our party congratulating us that we were able to save. We would 10000% do an event here again. Highly recommend!

Google
Great fun for kids and adults! Cornhole is set up and there's lots of running area for the kids to play tag and chase each other. I enjoyed the food and the drinks! And to end the night we played in the arcade and won lots of prizes. Great place!

Yelp
This was a really cool spot! Tucked away by CSUSM! They have a parking garage, first 2 hours are free but the restaurant will validate your parking if you are there longer! They have a really good social hour with a burger, fries, salad, and beer for $21 The burger was DELICIOUS! Service was really great! Always checking in on us and very fast! The ambiance was super chill! Lots and lots of games for all ages. EVEN had a bowling alley in there with about 7 lames! The biggest Foosball table that I have ever seen! And shuffleboard that was outside. Will definitely return here!!!

Yelp
I really enjoyed Draft Republic. I had Beer and it was good. I heard the cocktails were also good. The food surprised me the most. I had the Big Kid Mac and Cheese and really loved it! I am really picky with Mac and cheese and this one was delicious. I would gladly order it again. We also tried their buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer and that also exceeded expectations. We always order some hoping that it tastes as good as the buffalo cauliflower from CPK but I'm always disappointed. But this one was definitely a close second. The vibe was cool here. There's a small arcade close to the tables where little ones and kids at heart can go play. I did not bowl but it looked fun and like a nice bowling area. I would say, check this place out. It would be a great option for a night out with friends or on a date. Definitely a place you can come and celebrate special occasions. Or just enjoy a nice beer or cocktail,

Yelp
The place is huge! They have games, food, and lots of space for hanging indoors or outdoors. The food was solid. Tried the chicken wings and shrimp appetizers. For entrees tried the mahi sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak. Mahi was a miss for me but I enjoyed the cheesesteak. Service was good, fun place to hang out.

Yelp
What a fun place and I definitely want to come back with a large group. This establishment has it all, bowling, games, music, food, drinks and a nice outdoor patio. We ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and Mahi Mahi Sandwiches. Both were delicious served with fries and a small salad. The waitress was on point and made sure that we were taken care of. This restaurant allows dogs which is a big plus. The only downside is the parking which is a parking structure that is a little confusing. Make sure that the restaurant redeems your parking before you leave.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! If you're looking for somewhere to go where everyone will be pleased, this is the place for you. They've got salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and pasta dishes just to name a few. If you're looking for small bites, they have great appetizers and the best time to give those a try is during happy hour. My favorite apps are the crispy Brussels sprouts and the crispy buffalo cauliflower. I have yet to find any other restaurant that actually makes their Brussels sprouts crispy like Draft Republic. And the crispy buffalo cauliflower is pretty addicting! Just the perfect amount of spice to it. They also have a great drink menu covering beers, wine, and spirits. If you have kids with you, they have arcade games and bowling to keep them busy.

Yelp
Got the classic burger with fries and salad. Pretty good burger with crispy fries. Very busy place on Saturday night located close to campus. They have games there too in a sports bar setting. Good for big parties too. They have outside tables seating as well. If you drink beer, they have plenty to choose from.

Yelp
We went with a large party for dinner while some of our group went to Mesa Rim next door to go climbing. The food was fantastic with large portions and came out perfectly prepared and hot, the wings were juicy and the garlic ketchup was unique for the fries. Our waitress checked on us frequently and kept our drinks filled. There's a bowling alley, a giant foosball table, and arcade games. Plenty of TVs if you want to watch a game too (we went to also watch a game). Parking is kind of a pain since you either need to park at the parking deck or on the street. But otherwise there's a huge indoor and outdoor space with a lively atmosphere. ----TL;DR---- Pros: great service, large portions, food quality was fantastic. Service was attentive Cons: parking is not right up next to the restaurant so if you have any mobility issues like wheelchair or walking issues it may be a little bit of a distance. Bottom Line: fun and large place, great food and service. Some entertainment for families too (arcade, bowling, next door to Mesa Rim).

Yelp
We visited this place for a co-worker's farewell celebration, and it was our first time here. It's a fantastic spot for happy hour or just hanging out. They have a bowling area, which we didn't try this time but plan to on our next visit. We ordered the regular fries, wings with buffalo sauce, sweet chili-lime sauce, and a mojito. The food and drinks were great! The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the service was outstanding. We'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
So my roommate and I came here to finally enjoy the food. We had come to this location to celebrate a friend's birthday but did not get to enjoy the food. Honestly, the food was amazing. My roommate and I are gym girlie's and chose our empty calories to be in alcohol haha The Brussel sprouts were sooo crispy and delicuous..I would definitely order again. The chicken wings are so good. They definitely fulfilled the craving my roommate had for wings. When it comes to drink I opted for the Old Fashioned and truly loved the candy honey provided. At some point I had a different bartender and had to request it. I would say if they're going to make a drink they should all be on the same page. I was already 2 or 3 drinks in when I got a different bartender and was a bit disappointed having to ask for it. The service at the bar was a bit hit or miss. Never had someone ask how everything tasted or the type of attentiveness you look for. It wasn't too busy that day either. Did love the photo booth though! I would say one thing about this location is the parking situation. Make sure you go to the parking garage and absolutely don't forget to have them validate the ticket. If you forget it'll be a pain..say that due to an experience someone had.

Yelp
Start off with the good. Good service, lots of entertainment options and decent happy hour. Hamburger, fries, salad and beer deal are great. Very tasty burger and loved the fries. Ketchup is in one small container. Getting more is just too difficult on a Friday night. Fried buffalo cauliflower was ok but wasn't crispy nor very spicy. Came with ranch dressing which also is in one small container. Huge disappointment was the nachos. Dry, very little sour cream and jalapeños then salsa and guacamole came in the same small container that the ketchup came in. Small amount of black beans and very little cheese. The chips were supposedly corn but tasted and look more flour to me but worse was how dry the nachos were. Anyways, could only eat half of them before giving up. Don't understand why the host put all the customers in one area making it overly crowded when there were lots of open tables elsewhere. Beers were nothing special but the prices were reasonable. Worse thing is parking...maybe 6 spots in front which means driving around the block to find the parking structure that you have to pay for because they don't validate. The signs in the parking lot don't direct you to Draft Republic...no ADA paths, several sets of stairs to navigate. Sorry, food isn't worth the trouble of parking and the noise level makes this place more of a Dave and Busters...good for teenagers and parents that like video games and bowling alleys.

Yelp
Food: 3 Service: 3 Ambiance: 3.5 Came here on a Saturday evening. There was no wait and we were seated at a high top table. Service was ok as we had to wait for a while before we were able to order as we had to track someone down but someone was else checked up on us. I honestly don't even know who our server was. Food was ok and was lively and fun. The short rib sandwich and smoked brisket sandwich looked good but was so dry. Definitely needed a bit more sauce and flavor. The brussel sprouts however were very tasty! I don't know if I would return.

Yelp
Went here for a bite after a rock climbing session at North City Mesa rim. So satisfying after a climbing workout and love how convenient it is to just walk over! I got the wings appetizer (so flavorful) and the Baja fish tacos (a nice lighter option if you don't want a super heavy burger meal). Everything was decently priced for a brewery. Staff were friendly and helpful, and assisted us right away. Would highly recommend bringing your friends here or your SO for a date night! There's an arcade, a bowling alley, and plenty of other games you can play, and a nice outdoorsy area to sit in.

JR S.

Yelp
Service was great. The places environment was nice, not too loud and enough space to not be on top of each other. Food was just ok, sausage sampler not really good, pulled pork sandwich way too thick and too much juice (it did taste good), but the fries were excellent. Will come back and try other food that I hear is excellent.

Stacy S.

Yelp
I work near here and have gone to this place 4 or 5 times over the past two years for after work happy hours. The one thing stopping me from going again is their 5% fee added on to the bill. We saw the fee on our bill last year and stopped coming here. Once these types of fees were outlawed (according to my understanding) we came back earlier this year. There was no fee on that visit. Came back a few weeks ago and the fee was back. Yes, running a restaurant has gotten more expensive but just raise your prices. I see these fees as deceptive. Other observations: The drinks are great! Good selection of beers and my well gin & tonics were really tasty. Good service. I've never had any complaints about the service there. While you might think of this place as a great venue for 21+ fun that's not the case. You'll probably find a lot of kids here. Not bad, just be aware of that. Last time we had a level 3 screecher at the table next to us. I think his (her?) own parents were just as annoyed. Did I mention the 5% fee they add to your bill? :-) I've never had a problem with the food. It's always been good but I'm not picky. If you're the type that turns their nose up at national chain type food you probably won't like it. Otherwise, it's good. Parking is scarce in this area. You can't just pull up to the front door and walk in like they do on TV. I like the atmosphere. Good decor and there's a small bowling alley and arcade as well (hence, the kids).

Amanda J.

Yelp
They don't take reservations but luckily they were not busy when we went on a Thursday evening and needed a table for 10. At least half your party needs to be there before they will seat you. We were given a table fairly quickly and we were served by Alicia. I thought she was great. She was really nice and helpful. I ordered the Loaded Supreme Pizza and a Moscow Mule. Pizza tasted great. It has thin crust and a variety of delicious toppings including pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, red onions, and bell peppers. The Moscow Mule was also really good. I'll definitely coming be coming back here to try more food and drinks!

Yelp
Drinks: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Customer service: 5/5 Speed: 4/5 Price: $$ Outdoor seating: yes ADA access: yes Restrooms: yes M/F Dogs: patio Kid Friendly: yes Vegetarian options: yes Vegan options: few Ambiance: casual Pros: lots to do! Bowling, arcade, private parties, patio, fire pit, great menu, friendly staff Cons: none!!
google avatar

J T.

Yelp
Ambiance is great and there are plenty of things to do for the kids. The food is meh as follows: pasta overcooked and sauce bland, brisket fries were soggy and a poor execution on the poutine-inspired ingredients. The cob salad was good but the shrimp was stale. Finally, there is a 5% fee that is charged on top of your already rather highly priced food.
google avatar

Chhai M.

Yelp
Between the shrimp and grits, draft burger, and poke tacos I have to say the food is highly variable. I would recommend coming with a group who likes to share to figure out which dishes are actually to everyone's liking. With that being said, the space is beautiful. Wide space in the back for both kids to run around in and dogs to relax next to you while you eat. Inside, some generic arcade games and private rooms, and all the bathrooms are immaculate. Add to it all the friendly service that left all of us smiling. I give it my recommendation for group dinners, but likely not solo or date night.
google avatar

Annie D.

Yelp
I've been here for happy hour and restaurant week. Per the hubby, their beer is not the greatest. The cocktails are standard. But the space is very big both indoors and outdoors. They let us keep our dog next us by the inside bar which was great! We really liked the smoked wings and sausage platter. As a bread connoisseur, the pretzel roll was the best thing on the platter! Wouldn't get the nachos again. Looks big but it's just a bunch of chips. Their chop chop salad is good if you like fig. Also their Mac n cheese is excellent. Burgers and desserts were standard. Not bad but nothing to write about. Overall, Draft is a great place to come for big groups and if you have a dog or kids!
google avatar

Angela H.

Yelp
Went here to go bowling for a friend's birthday and will not be back. Let's start with the bowling area. The tables are so much wider than they need to be. You have all this table space but then when everyone's sitting on the couch they have to stand up so you can walk by to have your turn to bowl. Or move their legs to the side like you do in a movie theater. So this place needs to have smaller tables and more walking space. People are at the bowling section to bowl not eat. Now for the food and beverage. Prices are ridiculously expensive for a few bites of food. We had four adults and one two year old and for the appetizers we had to order so many items as they were not really shareable. Also the kids mac and cheese comes on a hot Skillet and the server even worn this careful the skillet is hot. It's on the kids menu why would you give a hot Skillet to a child. Our server was also horrible as we put in our food order and after about 40 minutes I was like I don't think they put anything in and sure enough when she came by and I said the order about the food she was oh yeah let me go check on that. AKA she was just putting it in. As we waited quite a bit longer and then still did not get the kids mac and cheese and had to ask again for that and she was like oh it should be out any minute and then that took an additional 15 to 20 minutes as she had forgot to put that in as well. She also never asked us if we needed water refills or more beer. Also the beer there is very expensive and they don't do pictures which to me is a standard at bowling. So if you want an overpriced place with horrible service then by all means go here but I will not be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Started going to Draft Republic back when Urge was using the spot. But really nice area for with so many possibilities for events. You have the bowling alley, the large outside area, an arcade area and a bar area. Last time I visited here, I ordered the BO Beau's Famous Crispy Brussels Sprouts (pancetta, shaved parmesan, balsamic reduction). These were the best Brussel sprouts I've ever tasted. I mean not sure how healthy they are but wow I could definitely eat this ever day. Amazing taste, crispiness, and flavor. Would recommend this place!
google avatar

Brenda D.

Yelp
What a great place to just have a beer, or watch a game, or bring the kids. I saw all kinds of folks just eating and having a good time, including me and my girlfriends! We had a really good server, and our drinks were very decently poured. But I was surprised over how tasty the food was for such big location that has arcade games and a bowling alley. It was nice having actually good food for a place with all these amenities. Definitely one of the best spots in town!
google avatar

Yelp
I love love Draft republics burger! After having a disappointing burger at Copper Kings, we needed to have a redemption night. We're super fond of DRs burger. We came on a Wednesday. This place is huge!! Definitely looks like a fun place for adults and kids, especially in the summer or game nights. The bar area was super nice. Cohn group sure went all in here. The menu is different here compared to our usually Carlsbad joint. We're closer to this one now so it's our new joint! We get their draft republic burger with white American cheese, 2 patties, bacon, bun and veggies with their extra crispy fries. And it comes with a salad to make you feel not so bad for eating a high caloric burger. Fries are addicting. This burger is the best. We also go their wings, naked with sauce on the side. It was delicious as well. So crunchy. Their garlic ketchup is delicious, but I don't think they have to us this time. We'll ask for it next. Service was friendly and we had several people ask us if everything was good.
google avatar

Marcus F.

Yelp
Draft Republic is a solid place that's good for groups. But be aware of their added "service tax" and "no check splitting" policy. Like all restaurants of the Cohn group, you'll get a consistent atmosphere and better food. You'll also get their signature "service tax" added to every bill. For many people who live in San Diego, that's a hard pass. Tourists don't know any better. This is a place for larger groups. The food is definitely a cut above standard restaurants. That's why I still put this place at 4 stars. But what really causes me to pause is that service tax. It's not just an extra fee, it's the fact that their service just doesn't justify it. This became very apparent when our group met up mostly consisting of 1's and 2's. They refused to split the check. I understand that's extra work for them, but we're also being taxed with a "service" charge. Applebee's and other chain restaurants have figured out splitting checks, so why not this place? - if you're with a group, you'll have to assign one person to pay everything, and you'll have to venmo your money to that person. - Great value on Taco Tuesday - If you want to bowl and reserve your own lane with a group, they will require a $200+ deposit. - Parking sucks and is confusing just where to park if it's your first time. There is parking available under one of the apartments complexes. 2 hours free, need validation if longer.

Yelp
When you head out here, you have to be aware that your GPS will take you to the restaurant, but parking is actually on a different street. The next thing you will notice is the large outdoor area and the extra large front door. You pass a foosball table when heading past the host counter and see the dining area, bar and arcade. We were seated quickly and met almost immediately by our server. We ordered a couple appetizers (pound of wings - dry, and the bang bang shrimp), which were both amazing. Our main dishes were pretty good as well. I had the fish and chips, which were okay. The fries were really good, but the fish had a thicker batter and they use rockfish instead of cod, so that could be why it wasn't what I am used to. I was told that the other items ordered were great. We also had dessert, which everyone seemed to enjoy. I had the brownie which was really good, except the edges were a little dry. One of the best aspects of the night was the service. Our server was awesome. He and the team brought out everything quickly and refreshed our drinks regularly. I would definitely visit this place again.

Jemiah J.

Yelp
Talk about great ambiance for gathering! They've got a new golf simulator, there's also a bowling alley, arcade games, and outdoor games! This is a great spot for big chatter and loud laughters. I went here for a reunion and the service was fantastic. The food is great and so are the drinks. Recommendations: Spirited Drinks- Bees Knees ( I got mine with Tito's Vodka ) Appetizer- Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower ( You'd never know it's vegans ! ) Appetizer- Bavarian Pretzel Bites ( Perfectly Salted and Soft with Beer Cheese ) Dessert- Brownie Ala Mode ( Bomb.com )

Yelp
This is a cool spot to accommodate a large or small group of family and/or friends. The food is good and prices are standard for this type of establishment. There is a small arcade area to play games and a bowling alley. Restrooms were clean. There is no close parking, you will have to walk unless you get dropped off at the front. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. Food Ratings: - Poke Tacos: Hard to eat, but decent. 7/10 - Mozzarella Burger: There was a nice kick! 7.5/10 - Mahi-Mahi Burger: My mom ate half of it and my dad finished it. 9/10 - White Pizza: We finished it, but wasn't the best white pizza I've had 7.5/10 - Supreme Pizza: Standard, finished half. 7/10 - Fish and Chips: Huge portions! 8/10 - Brussels Sprouts: Just try it! 9/10 - French Fries: Crispy! 8/10 - Bread Pudding Dessert: This was okay. 6/10 - Kid's meal: My niece enjoyed it! 9/10 *Limited Restaurant Week Menu: Good deal at $30 The bill came out to slightly under $200 with tip for family of 6. We also had leftovers. The customer service experience was definitely the best part for me!

Yelp
Finding this restaurant was a nice surprise Everything we ate was so delicious! servers were very thoughtful and helpful my son loved the video games We checked out the bowling alley too great place to have a celebration with a group or just watch a sporting event parking is in the parking structure next door not too far of a walk im not positive but it seems this restaurant is dog friendly since there's a huge outdoor area

Yelp
Amazing food, drinks and ambience. We just had a late lunch here and we were so impressed with the service. Our server, the manager and even the executive chef checked with us regarding a slight modification to one of our entrees. We were impressed and will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
We were a bug group and all our food arrived on time. My burger was delicious and juicy. My alcohol drinks were well made. Overall a place to come, eat, drink and chill with friends.
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
The atmosphere is awesome and the service we had was great. The bowling was, well, bowling. It's fun with good company. The food was awesome and the beer was good... but, there are additional/hidden fees that ultimately made this place a 1x a year or every couple of years type of place for me. I get that things are getting expensive, but seeing the bill after everything kinda ruined the overall experience.
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Fun vibe, large spaces, clean decor, and good food! Recommended for locals and tourists alike!

Yelp
Great food & drinks! Met up with friends for a Saturday dinner. About a 45 minute wait, but we were impressed by the staff and as well as the food/drinks!! Will be back

Yelp
Child friendly outdoor area. Outdoor area is also good for easy mingling of adults when large group is together and visit each other at different tables. Delicious food, fresh ingredients!
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
What a fun place to visit. Wether you want to do bowling, outdoor patio games, enjoy arcade games, grab drinks at the bar, or have dinner at a table they've got all the choices here for you. Happy Hour is daily 4-5:30pm with a lot of great choices. We took advantage of the Happy Hour on this visit and enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, Ahi tacos, Buffalo cauliflower, and the sausage sampler. The Brussel sprouts, Ahi tacos, and Buffalo cauliflower kept us wanting more and the sausage platter was just eh. They've got a great tap and cocktail menu if you enjoy drinks.
google avatar

Damaris R.

Yelp
This place is great! I've been here 2 times now, and both times were great experiences. There's bowling, an arcade and games outside. Great drinks and the food is so good. Service was great both times I was there!! One of the managers Alaina is great! Everyone is outgoing here. The place is clean and very cute! I love that it's family friendly but also a good date night place! I wish I took more pictures while there but I was having too much fun!!
google avatar

Irene Q.

Yelp
Food was satisfyingly delicious. We ordered Fish & Chips, wings, buffalo cauliflower, sausage sampler, and nachos. Favorite was fish and chips. Will be back to try Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Service was helpful and friendly. Ambiance was fun, spacious, and clean. Definitely adding this to our list of San Marcos places to visit.

Yelp
My husband and I didn't know what to expect when Yelp suggested this place for Fish and Chips. The ambience was surprisingly energetic, lively, and busy for a Sunday afternoon. Service was fast and the food was served quickly. We opened with a pound of wings, buffalo with ranch dressing. Very tasty, nice smoky flavor, and didn't appear to be deep fried. With the ever present debate, there were an equal number of flats and drummets. We had the Fish and Chips, which were surprisingly good. Two large pieces of fish, and the fries were perfectly done. The server brought the fish and chips out on two separate plates since we mentioned that we will split it when we ordered. Only minor gripe, mire ranch dressing and tartar sauce would have been great. But all we had to do was ask. A real hidden gem! We plan on visiting this place again.

Yelp
Really enjoy this place. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. All of the food was good as well. The pizza was light and flavorful, the burger was tasty, and the chicken was very moist and tender. Our service was a little slow at times and they kept the back door open when it was only about 45° outside, so it was a little chilly. They have a bowling alley you can rent out as well as a large arcade. Definitely a very kid friendly place.

Yelp
This place is big and a fun place to eat. The kids played arcade games. A little high price for the games but they were satisfied. The bar list is big and there are drinks not just beer. We only had pretzel bits but there is a big menu to choose from.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. More of an upscale bar vibe. Games are on and elevated bar food and drinks available. Excellent happy hour options at 4pm. The burger, fries and beer combo is simply perfect. We enjoyed yummy Brussels sprouts, tri tip fries and shrimp.

Yelp
Unfortunately, we have sat here for over an hour and they keep telling us 10 minutes. I can see at least 15 open tables for the last hour, and they will not let the kids sit. We also asked if we could order the kids food, and they said NO, we asked even a basket of fries, again they said NO. Horrible experience.

Yelp
First time for everything, sitting INDOORS we had the pleasure of listening to a barking dog for the most of the meal. Management thought it was not a big deal for whatever reason. The "manager" actually came by our table and said "we're a dog friendly place" ?? Seat them outside then if it's not a trained dog. The self absorbed owners of the obnoxious dog were oblivious and didn't care. Got worse when our fish and chicken tacos arrived. How does almost room temp food get served? Describe the food on the menu as kinda sorta warmish or learn how to serve it hot. Sent the food back and skipped eating. Started out with nachos for the table and they were good and very hot. Margaritas weren't very good. Needed some lime juice to perk them up. Tasted mostly like agave syrup. They have a Tuesday street food fair outside in the mall. Somehow a guy in a pop up served samples of his African food that were very hot. Maybe see what his secret is?

Yelp
Very good food. My family enjoyed it very much. Beer is on point and a lot to choose from. Service was great. Cool environment with lots to do. Probably to entertain all the college kids that are right next door. I imagine it can get busy but on the day I went it wasn't bad at all. Got a table right away. Dope place.

Yelp
Food was okay. Seemed like any other franchise where they order pre-sauced, pre-prepped for and all they do is heat it up. It was a slow night but the volume of the place was still as if they were crowded, which is not my preference. We both ordered sandwiches, neither was memorable and my SO even said the short-rib sandwich was dry. The server didn't make sure we wanted fries or something else. I have started asking if they're the breaded kind and if so, ordering something else(fry snob ). They were and I was a bit bummed. A barely dressed, what passed for a salad- which I didn't want, meh fries-at least they were hot, and a meh brisket sandwich. Won't be coming back, I can get better food with a much bigger and better beer selection all over town. When you have to ask for your napkins and silverware, ask for glasses of water and then be shown a machine that the tip starts at 18% when the servers are already making good money. No thanks, I really don't care if you're short staffed, that's a you problem.
