Drafting Table Brewing Company

Definitely a local gem. I'm a member and it's my go to place to get a beer. The owners are fantastic people, all of the beers are well crafted and wonderfully balanced. If you want a great experience in a comfortable and welcoming environment, this is the place to go. I've held off reviewing it for so long because I selfishly don't want it to get too busy for me to find a place to sit! 2/13/26 update: All of the above remains true. Love this place and all the people that make it so.

This is one of the best micro breweries in southeastern, Michigan. They have a fantastic selection of beers, all expertly crafted. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s a great family friendly environment. I highly recommend a visit to this brewery.

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience here. First, Tim was extremely attentive and sweet. The last time we were there was a year ago and he recognized us. We did the beer flights- I chose all the fruity beers. Husband chose the porters and some others. My favorites were the strawberry and cider, but their coffee beer was phenomenal! Meg was another amazing person. Her artwork on the beer menu was so impressive. She, like Tim, was super sweet and attentive. We played darts, drank beer, and had a wonderful evening.

A really nice place if you want to try on some really unique tap beers. They have something like 15-20 beers on tap. The place has great ambience and vibe to it. I would highly recommend their Two Point Perspective and Bitter Brit beers which really have a very unique taste. The service is really good and the place is not very expensive. The downside (or upside) is that they don't have their own kitchen but they allow you to bring your own food. But there is a Jet's Pizza only 50 ft from the brewery to order food. Overall, a really nice brewery to try some unique on tap beers!

An fairly new brewery right around the corner of Pontiac trail & Wixom road. They have an amazing draft selection with BYOB food option. The space is great that offers indoor and outdoor seating and they have board games. I recommend doing the beer Flight so that you can try majority of the draft option.

Very chill atmosphere. Sitting outside on either patio is nice and so is inside. Cycle the trail and grab a pint!

Friendly staff, great beers. Drafting table has a welcoming community feel. Family friendly. The food truck was great tonight.

One of the best spots in Southeast Michigan! Staff is always friendly and fast. And they're incredibly family friendly - whether your stopping in for a random dinner or a Tuesday game night.

Love the casual nature of this place! Been here on multiple great occasions- after a trail bike ride, for Monday trivia, or a Friday night and all have been wonderful. Got the Ruby- a blackberry blonde ale this night and it was perfect for a light beer lover like me. One day I'll get the Proud Lake chocolate beer- I'm so intrigued! Can bring cards, food, whatever in here! Kinda a free-for-all which is awesome

I stopped in a few days ago and tried a few beers. I haven't been to Drafting Table for a few years but their beers are consistently very good. Great service and plenty of parking. I will definitely be back again.

I found myself in Wixom this past week for work. We found a brewery near our hotel and decided to try it. I got a flight of all their IPA's and really enjoyed the Radiate. It was hazy yet light and fruity. I even bought a 4-pk to bring home with me. The employees are so friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back here if I ever find myself over on this side of the country!

They have tag a brews with a cute charm. Also beer, of course, beer was good. No food and no food the day that we were there. We tried a very boozy draft with vanilla bean and it wasn't bad at all. The Germans on tap for the season were also solid. Recommend !

This was my first time here. I really really liked it. I buy their 4 packs at my corner store frequently. It was really nice to get it fresh at the source. The staff was friendly and the location is a cinch to get to. Service and atmosphere are top notch.

A sure place to discover some truly creative and innovative craft beer. Drafting Table always includes a few standard favorites but also works to include several specialty beers on the tap menu, often dependent on the season. Beers can be enjoyed inside the brewery or outside on the beer garden-esque patios. They don't have a kitchen, but are fine with you bringing to-go food from any of the several restaurants just down the block. Friendly, knowledgeable staff as well. Locals swear by it, plus the location is right on the Michigan Air Line Trail, making DT a perfect destination for after-trail ride refreshments.

Place doesn't have the greatest beers, have tried it a few times and there are several other breweries that have better beers and their beers are served so much colder.

Great service and great beer! Seat yourself and order at the station. We were greeted with a smile. Large spacious taproom with patio seating. Solid beers. We really enjoyed the Rye Barrel Aged Mean Vanilla Bean and the Bourbon Barrel Aged Oktoberfest. It's bring your own food too. Great find (thanks Yelp and Untapped). We'll be back!

Amazing beer! Best staff on the planet, Amber rules! No food but you can bring food in from anywhere and they often have food trucks. Very chill place that is comfortable and welcoming.

Pro: Good atmosphere. Nice bartenders. Selection of beer was good. Monday night is a trivia night. Con: They don't have food. ( They do have a food truck and there are other takeout places nearby.) You bring your own food.

What a great place to get a craft beer! They have an excellent selection of beers with a rotating menu that changes with the seasons and holidays. The staff is friendly and always offer exceptional service and beer recommendations if you need one. This place is usually full of appreciative beer drinkers. It is child and pet friendly. No food arrive is offered but food trucks frequent the schedule and you are welcome to bring your own food as well as order from local restaurants.

We met up with friends on Saturday night in a central location to all of us. Unanimously we all agreed upon the Drafting Table Brewing Company. We got there somewhat early around 4:00pm. There were only a handful of people at the bar and only a couple tables occupied. There were 2 large tables already reserved for parties of 6+. Our party would total 8 with all of us arriving at different times. We were able to secure a table and chairs for all of our party. We were told by staff that the place would be filling up quickly. They were not wrong as not long after we arrived all tables and chairs were occupied with standing room only and people waiting for seats. The Drafting Table Brewing Company is a small brewery in Wixom that has a whole lot going for it. The beers are excellent and stand up against all others I have had. The staff and service is just awesome. A really friendly environment and space. No food service form the establishment itself. But, they have regular rotating food trucks. There is also pizza and Chinese food choices in the same strip mall area. You are allowed to bring in your own food and snacks. And it was great meeting you Bob...Boom! Boom! Boom!

I ate at the food truck there called Simply Spanish and it was FANTASTIC!!! Unusually delicious! I'm going to find them again for sure!

We just love the Drafting Table. They have fantastic beers and the brewery is cool. I like the layout and they have done a nice job with social distancing. They are strict with procedures and will turn people away for not following guidelines. We were excited to see a food pop up setting up when we arrived. We were a bit hungry and were excited to try some German Food. They have seating on the patio area, if you prefer to sit outside. They categorize their beers in tiers. We also tried a small margarita slushie. He doesn't really like margaritas, but this was fantastic and backed a nice little punch. We will most certainly be back to Drafting Table. They also have very nice merchandise for sale.

We started collecting tagabrews several years ago. I fell behind on collecting them so now we are in a mission to get me all the tagabrews. We love breweries so this is not a a rough task lol. We try to limit how many days a week we enjoy beer though as we are both watching our figures. Hahah. Gotta keep in shape for the summer! Anyway this was my first trip to Drafting Table and I was excited he brought me here. It's funny because I work 7 miles from here. This place is very cute. The outside has an igloo and another outdoor tent. There is a lot of outdoor seating here too. Although it was a beautiful sunny day, it was still a bit chilly, so we chose to enjoy our beers inside. When you walk in, there is a hostess stand. You need to scan their barcode and enter information for contact tracing. They were extremely covid compliant. There is bar seating but they are tables. We didn't want to take up a full table so we just found a small table in the corner. You go up to the counter and order your beer. He got an ale and I got a brown. I wasn't sure about the brown because it was very hazy, however it was super delicious. I'm not sure if they had flights or not. They do not have food. They have some solid loyal customers. It got very busy as we were leaving. They have a mug club to enjoy as well. They also had lots of fun stuff you can purchase. We grabbed a tagabrew and he got a hat. My tagabrew charm is different than his which is kind of fun too! This is definitely somewhere we will come back to.

Visited a few microbreweries on this trip to Michigan. This was my favorite. Located in the city of Wixom. Positives: + huge variety of beer to choose from. At the time they had 19 available. + Really Good Beer! Enjoyed a flight of four. Enjoyed the Don't get Ambered and the Proud Lake Porter the most. + spacious. A lot of room at the bar or a seat at one of many tables. + The Hometown Brewery- each of the townships/cities around have their own microbreweries. This is the only one in Wixom. + Growler option. Like what you got? Buy a growler and bring em home. + Good Service- attentive, helpful and appreciative. Expected of a small town establishment. + Good crowd- I walked in a newcomer (the only guys in shorts and a few shades darker. Didn't matter. People sat by me at the bar and made conversation about beer and sports. I'm ok with it but some may disagree on this: +/- It's all about the beer- no food sold here. Encouraged to support the local restaurants nearby. Other Breweries that sell food tend to be loud. Good times and good brews!

This was our first time here. It's a nice wide open layout with lots of tables and a very large bar area. They don't offer food but it appears they have food trucks regularly. Also, they are at the end of a strip mall that has several different eating venues and they don't mind you bringing food into the bar. We went on a Saturday evening, the place was pretty busy but we found a seat rather easy still. We were approached right away for drinks and received them quickly. When our drinks got low we were offered more right away. We were surprised at the amount of children there considering it's a bar not a restaurant.... Maybe next time we will have to go later in the evening to avoid them ‍.

Finally checked out Drafting Table as a part of a friend's westside Brewery birthday crawl. Drafting Table is located in a strip mall in Wixom. They only serve beer and don't served food but you can bring your own food in. They also do several food truck and food pop-ups. When we were there they had a Pasty pop-up from Motor City Pasties. They offered an Italian sausage, empanada, veggie, and City Chicken pasties and more varieties for $8 a piece. We just ate but I saw people order them and they looked huge. They passed out menus and set up a table inside the restaurant. Every Wednesday La Casita Taqueria sets up a table from 5-8 pm and sells tacos, burritos, nachos, and more, and on Fridays, Steve's Grilled Cheese is there. When food pop-ups are not there, Drafting Table offers popcorn and pretzels and also cans of Faygo and Diet and Regular Coke for non-beer drinkers. As for the beer, it is delicious. They had about 16 rotating beers on tap, divided and priced by tiers. They offer 10 oz, 16 oz, and flight pours as well as howler, growler, and prowler fills. Most growler fills are around $15. I really like their Tarty Slip varieties. The most recent time I had the Orange Brewlius orange creamsicle inspired Milkshake-IPA and it was very good. They also offer hard ciders and wine. The atmosphere was nice with lots of large communal picnic tables for seating. They have several events there like open mic nights, game nights every Wednesday, and Quizzi trivia on Thursdays. Overall very cool brewery and would love to come back to try more tasty beers.

Eh, I hate to say it, as I am not one to dog on a place but I am not just feeling it. Nothing happened that went wrong, but I just didn't have that memorable of an experience. I was with one of my favorite people and was in a good mood as we were on our way to celebrate a dear friend of mine on her wedding and stopped here on the way, so you can't blame a bad mood. When we sat down it took a bit for someone to wait on us. When they did show up we ordered a couple flights and nothing left our mouths all that impressed. If I lived around here I would definitely give them another chance, but since I am on the other side of the state I will probably check a lot of other places first before I come back. Nothing wrong really, just not my cup or tea... or pint of beer I should say.

People are rude, staff is rude. Don't take your kids you'll get stares from across the room. Definitely not family friendly. - a patron told us "this is not a playground" when they saw our kids. Which is an astute observation from a sad alcoholic sitting alone at the bar waiting for his 4th wife to leave him.

This was our first visit here, and although there were a few hiccups, my husband and I loved this place and will be back soon. We tried to come here another time, but it was packed, so we were not able to get seats. They do not serve food here, but on some days, they do have food trucks, and you can bring in food. They had a nice variety of beers, including a coffee blonde which my husband loves and hasn't been able to find all winter until we came here last week. When we went to pay, there was an issue with us using our hop passport, but the manager came over and took care of the problem for us, which I much appreciated. We will be back soon for some more of your fantastic coffee blonde.

This brewery is absolutely excellent!! Their beer is fantastic-ALL of their beer is fantastic! The people(staff) are wonderful; they're kind, knowledgeable and so friendly. We first visited this brewery on a invite from a friend in April 2019, since then, I think it's safe to say that we are weekly regulars. Thank you Kristin & Aaron for opening an great brewery. Highly, highly recommend!!!

This place is pretty cool and a great addition to downtown Wixom. Lots of seats and well arcade games. Come on that is awesome. The beer was great. We got the witty yank and dibs on the blonde. I love a great wheat beer and this one is unique. Overall this is a good stop...put it on your list.

Board games, beer and wine now too! WhT more could a person ask for? Love the pop up days lots of fun and good. Otherwise you can bring in your own food...or have it delivered

Very friendly staff! Their Rezolute is the Very Best IPA around! We joined the mugless club because we love the beer and the atmosphere so much!

We met up here for my cousin's surprise birthday party. It was a good place to meet up, but other than that we were underwhelmed. They don't have any food, so we got carryout from somewhere nearby and brought it with us. There just wasn't anything super memorable about this place itself.

Finally visited here for the first time this weekend. Really great spot to try some beers and hang out with friends. My husband and I sat outside under one of the igloos, we enjoyed a couple of flights. There are a ton of beers to choose from, all delicious. We even left with a four pack. They do not offer food here, but lots of people brought their own snacks to enjoy while they hung out. Staff is very friendly and and knowledgeable. Everything was clean and safe, per current protocols. We will be back!

Omg... we loved this place!!! Another Yelp find as an "after dinner have a local beverage or two" place. This is in a strip of other places... pizza place, And a Chinese restaurant as I recall... ..walking in it was a complete surprise to Find a large, gorgeous, brand new brewery space! They had a fascinating list of beers... tier 1 ( what I would call their list of versions of "beers for everyone".. ales, ipa's, stouts etc that anyone would be able find something they'll like on.. all their own creations) and tier 2 ( what I would call beers for the "pros".. they had a daily "cask conditioned beer" and some other choices that had more complicated profiles and of course they cost more for your choice) I actually found something on the tier 2 list that I thought sounded really good (that list was intimidating to me) .. a cherry "tart slip"... idk what that means but I did learn that Michigan is known for its cherries so.. yay! I tried it, loved it.. then the guy next to me mentioned that they were "making that into a slushie" so I... ruined it and had it as a slushie like a kid.. and freaking loved it!!! Craig tried a wheat beer and a Pilsner.. Both of which he liked. God, the place was just gorgeous and there was a small outdoor seating area on the opposite side from the entrance that I'd have loved to sit out on but.. caveman doesn't like humidity. They had fun weekly events (cards against humanity tournaments?? Omg.. id kill at that!) and very cool "mugs" as part of a mug club. The bartenders were informative, nice and efficient.. enjoyed their jobs obviously! I wish we lived locally... we'd be here every weekend!!

My new favorite brewery:)! Every staff is so friendly and kind. They are very attentive as well. Lots of beer to chose from and they are all delicious! The place is very nice, roomie, and has a cute patio area. I love how they have different vendors come to sell food on site! And yes you can bring you own food (LOVE that!).

The beer is outstanding. The place is well laid out and spacious. Great location on the trail. Ride my bike from Farmington. I've found over about 10 visits the experience with the staff is somewhere between detached and rude. I visit about a dozen craft brew pubs on a regular basis and typically the personal and Brew Pubs is abnormally inviting so this place really stands out in their stiffness.

Drafting table has always been a go to brewery since we moved to the area. They have a great selection of beers. They do not have actual food there but if you sit outside and grab a pizza from Jets and glass or two from Drafting Table you're going to have a great time. The staff has always been very nice. In the summer you can bring your dog and sit on the front patio. The staff usually has dog treats and will give you water for them.

There beer is awesome and the staff is very knowledgeable about their product. Our bartender was Chris. He is excellent at his job and knows a lot about beer and is very prompt. The barroom is nicely decorated and is a blast to be in. The long tables make it feel like a beer hall, but there are private tables, too. They had great bands in when we were there. The beer is standard priced, but, it is so good! I'd put it on par with some of the better breweries in the state. Get the "grunge phaze" if you can. It will give m43 or transient NEIPAs a run for their money. It's bring your own food, which I love! There's a lot of local spots and the bartenders will point you in the right direction. Great Place!

Really cool place to hang out, I only gave it 5 stars because most of their beers were IPA's and I am not an IPA fan...if you are you will love their beer, great flavor. They did have one Porter which was really good. I am just not a fan of IPA's or really bitter beer.

There are plenty of beer choices to make this a place to stop and enjoy. The owners are very friendly and the waitstaff is knowledgeable about their product. There is plenty of space inside and some outdoor seating too. The last time I was there, I don't recall a pool table, darts, fooseball, etc. but maybe that's changed. They do not serve food (beyond bagged snacks), but in my opinion, that's good. They welcome food to be brought in and there are plenty of great carry-out options within a walking block of this "Downtown Wixom" brewery: Alex's Pizzeria, La Casita (see my related review), Al Maidah, a coney island, and a Chinese restaurant. On summer Thursdays from 7-9pm, there's a live concert in the nearby park. I'll often join friends at the Drafting Table with La Casita take-out and then walk to the concert afterwards.

Loved it. The only reason why I don't give five stars is because I wish they had food! I had a flight plus a couple more because there were so many different beers I wanted to try. They were all good - there was only one that wasn't my fave but it wasn't bad. They have a few different ciders all of which were good.

Good quality craft brewery, conveniently located right on the Air Line Trail in WIxom. There is seating outside.

It was fine, it was just one of those nights with food so there were a lot of young children there and really busy.

Pros: ba stouts, ample parking, workers Cons: sample policy Their barrel aged beers are right there with the local greats. If you ever are lucky enough to try palatable, rye mean vanilla bean, or the barrel aged maple, vanilla, and peanut beans, DO IT! The other beers are all pretty good but I haven't been overly impressed by anything. They are all drinkable but not great. I'm not a huge fan of not being able to sample some of the tiers, not a very friendly policy. I agree with no samples of the upper tier ba beers as this is standard protocol everywhere, but many of the regular stouts are off limits. They've lost out on several beer purchases from me because of this policy. Workers are all really friendly and attentive. If you frequent breweries you will see a lot of familiar faces. In closing, really really like this place. I stop by everytime I'm in the area and I'd recommend you do the same ;-)

First and foremost, a brewery rating is all about quality and that's what I care about. I give the beer a solid 4/5. As a brewery nut, I have quite high expectations when it comes to beer quality. Drafting table has a very mature portfolio of options. German beers, ipas, porters, saisons, and Belgians. No food less chips and pretzels. Staff is friendly and somewhat knowledgeable on beer Overall I recommend this brewery if you are the area. It's worth a couple mile detour if you are nearby

Walked in today for a beer at 1pm to find about 30 women in yoga clothes cleaning and moving tables . It smelled like a hockey locker room or a gym with 100 people in it. Yoga mats were on the bar top where you would drink and was told that they were still closed till the yoga people left which was an in known time . Don't recommend this place .

Great group of locals and great staff! Very relaxing environment that serves craft beer and light snacks only. Not to worry, there are many food options from the orange "local grubs" binder. Definitely, a hidden treasure!

I've been to such establishments all over the place. For what it is, it's top notch. I'm glad to see they are doing fairly well for their area. Typically these places (beer, no food, open social atmosphere) survive best in one of two places which are college towns or popular downtowns. This is certainly 'downtown' wixom, but that doesn't mean much. The selection of beer is quite good.

If you like good beer, try this place! I tried about 6 different styles of beer here and all were tasty. I tend to like IPAs but settled on a seasonal brew called Spiced Winter Warmer since was less than 20 degrees on the day I went and my tastebuds appreciated the warm flavors of ginger, cinnamon and allspice. So good! The servers are friendly and you won't feel uncomfortable sharing a table here if you wish. We sat at the bar to watch a game. The place is clean too! As an aside, I LOVE their logo. It speaks to my Type A side. Why not 5 stars? Well, because my five star status will go to a brewery that has good beer, is clean, good staff, friendly environment (this place has those) plus a few exploratory or even risky flavors. I love breweries that offer taste adventures. Aside from that, this place is top notch!

Quite simply the best beer in SE Michigan. The environment is festive, and the concept of bringing food in, or eating from one of the many food trucks that stop by keeps things fresh. This way the beer is always good and the food is always changing! It is a great addition to downtown Wixom, which is becoming a destination. Great restaurants, great bars and a walkable downtown. Unlike its neighbor Walled Lake which is becoming a ghost town with no good stores and only fast food and two crappy restaurant/bars.

Visited here two weeks ago to check them out. They are located in a strip mall but do not let that deter you! The inside is roomy, open, large windows letting in lots of light and they have a long bar with lots of seats. Our server mentioned they are planning to add a beer garden outside. The beers were very good, with lots of fun choices. I liked the Saison with rhubarb/strawberry purée. The Blonde was also good. No food but you can bring in or have it delivered. Dart board and table games offered too. It got pretty busy after 5:00 with the after work crowd. They seem promising!

Finally, a brewery has opened, and the beer doesn't taste like total trash but rather, total treats. Ambience 5: Wide open, oaky, traditonal, relaxing, comforting, and an overall great place to hangout and enjoy impeccable beer. Beer 5: I absolutely love their beer. The IPA and DIPA are phenomenal. They are hoppy, citrusy, floral, bittter, and perfectly balanced treats. The stouts are also excellent. Overall, I really love this place. The only downside is many other people do too, and they have no more openings for their mug club. Otherwise, I would be their 401st member.

I am not a huge beer drinker but my friend who is wanted to try this place. Since I am not a huge beer drinker I am not going to judge this place on the beer but rather the service. When you first walk in you are not really sure if there are servers or if you order from the bar. I hate walking into a place and feeling completely out of place. We walked up to the bar to ask where we were supposed to place our order and "bartender" said someone would come to the table. So we sat down at a high top and waited....and waited.....and waited. I finally flag down someone to come to the table. The decor is very cold and hard, most brewers are but this place just kind of takes it to another level. We grab a deck of cards and played some games and other than that there isn't much going on. They do not sell food which again I know most breweries don't but it's away such a letdown. They do encourage you to bring food in from someplace else but at 11pm in Wixom, there is no place open.

I love this place. Wixom is so lucky to have landed this brewery, which has impeccable interior design and a great atmosphere, not to mention awesome beer. This is a cool and casual place. They don't have a kitchen so plan ahead: you can bring in your own food or order from a nearby restaurant. It's actually really handy when you hang out with a group that has different dietary restrictions. I recommend trying Palatable -- it is an amazing brew! They put on a great Oktoberfest in the fall. It's a really fun day with special events, live music, etc. and really reminds you of being in Germany. They also have a great, but small, front porch. Since we live in Michigan, we should always take advantage of drinking outside in the sunshine when we can!

Fantastic beer! Fantastic atmosphere! Friendly staff! Tip......they allow you to bring in outside food. I recommend getting takeout from Al Maidah at the other end of the strip mall. It's fantastic as well! Great evening out with fantastic beer and food! Will definitely return for more great craft beers!
