"When we’re near Emory University and get hit with a dumpling craving (happens to you too, right?), we head to Dragon Bowl. This relaxed counter-service spot features a range of Pan-Asian dishes and hails from the team behind Doc Chey’s. Their Shanghai Dumplings are stuffed to the max with pork and a bit of ginger, and we always wish there were more than four. But we’ll usually add dishes like the creamy Thai coconut curry with perfectly roasted carrots (our favorite thing on their constantly changing menu) to fill us up. If you tend to order food like Meg Ryan’s super-extra character in When Harry Met Sally, create your own bowl by selecting a base, veggies, protein, and sauce, and be as particular as you like." - Juli Horsford

Surprisingly authentic Chinese food given that it's a fast food style food stall. I'm from Shanghai and growing up eating bok choy, and this place serves Shanghai bok choy almost everyday. The only Chinese food stall where I can find balance meal with good home taste. The price is pretty affordable, with around $13 for a 3 course meal. They even have holiday special dishes when there is a Chinese holiday. I haven't experienced the communication issue that others mentioned cuz I spoke Mandarin. The only issue is the "overly enthusiastic" customer service. They are very good at pressuring you to order from them. As long as you walk by, or take one single look at their food, you'll notice a free food sample poking at you, and they also did it through gesture, like picking up the plate waiting for you to choose immediately. It almost made me feel bad to not order from them. But overall, still very nice people there, and will let you taste every single dish if you wish.

When you get food notice that you don't really get any protein. Its a lot of fried dough coated in sauce. Flavor is good they are basically selling you chunks of fried dough with minimal meat

Came back from the hospital looking for some pick-me-up food and I was not disappointed. Relatively affordable for a college student, friendly servers who are patient, and good food. Thank you for making my day better :)

Workers really struggle with communication. Good luck conveying anything that requires more than pointing. I tried my best, but they were just not putting the right food on the plate. Ended up going somewhere else. Other places in the food court have no issues with getting your order right.

I have tasted better Chinese food. It was okay. However they're stingy with their lo mein. I just paid $17.00 for what??😒 Update: I bought a bagel because I was still hungry 🥺😆 Please avoid this place, in this inflation era. I have zero tolerance in mediocre and expensive food.

The service is brisk and the prices are good, but communication can be a little difficult...but more importantly, the quality of the food itself is lacking. Everything I got was pretty oily/greasy and made me feel kind of heavy afterward. Also, my fried fish was mostly crunchy batter...

Vegans beware, I thought I might be able to get an easy side of tofu or something here, but they were unfortunately hard to communicate with. Didn't seem to really understand what vegan was, and didn't seem to care to listed when I elaborated, very rushing and when I tried to ask about the menu their answers were more confusing. Looked like good food and they give big portions so I'd love to know which options were actually truly vegan and I'd go back.
