Google
Dragon Gate Karaoke Restaurant is a stellar find in Las Vegas—even better than I expected! Their food is flavorful, bold, and generous—with standout dishes like stinky tofu, popcorn chicken, and bento boxes that truly remind you of Taiwanese night market classics. Drinks at the bar pair effortlessly with the salty, savory flavors. The karaoke rooms are absolutely beautiful—super comfy sofas, a powerful sound system, and lighting that elevates the party vibe. Whether you’re here for dinner or to sing into the early hours, you’ll enjoy stylish decor, fun energy, and a late-night scene that comes alive. As long as you don’t mind occasionally salty seasoning and are ready for some volume in service during peak times, Dragon Gate delivers an experience that’s well worth the hype.

Found this place by accident and was impressed by the interior retro style decor. The hostess was friendly and food was delicious. We were very happy with the food, that we even got some to go. Will definitely return again to try more menu option.

I was there for an event and the place is amazing! The restaurant boasts a bar, catering services, and a dance floor, and so many VIOP rooms with karaoke, making it versatile for various events. The ambiance is enhanced by thoughtful decor and lighting, creating a comfortable environment for diners.

Google
Authentic Taiwanese food in Vegas area. Highly recommend their stinky tofu! It’s crispy and stinky just how I like it. They have a very extensive menu and a lot of Taiwanese night market snacks. Service is friendly and great.

Authentic Taiwanese food! Tasty! I like it! The service is great!

The SO calls this place as Taiwanese "inspired" food. What we ordered was decent as Chinese food. But it's not Taiwanese food. Maybe we ordered the wrong items? This place is new so we'll have to try again later, and maybe best with a bigger group. Another typical Vegas Taiwanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean restaurant experience so far. Small appetizer of peanuts is included. A4.Garlic Cucumber $5. (Without $2 Thousand Year Egg). It was okay. Can order again. C24. Omelette Pancake, Oyster $18. The SO doesn't care for this. I actually like it ALOT!! Maybe not as much tasty oysters as Taiwan BUT the texture, fried crispy parts and mix was pretty good. I was impressed for normally having other low expectations for this dish. D1. Three Cups Chicken $19. Will not order again! The taste is completely off. Some of the larger chicken pieces were dry, tough and flavorless. I1. Rice bowl $2. We ordered 2 bowls = $4. Lu Wei (boiled 5 spice broth) where you pick 3 ingredients. Already includes cabbage, fermented mustard veggies, and chili sauce on the edges. - Something I crave from Taipei!! $5 bamboo shoots, $6 beef tripe, $6 beef intestine. BUT not similar in taste which is the whole point. So it's just boiled items which I like too. So I enjoy this dish for that. Similar to how people like hot pot, or like Malo Town but it's not spicy. - Clarification of their menu: Their cabbage is American cabbage, not the Chinese one. Theres also no A choy. Next time, we are interested in a bento box, beef noodle soup and such.

It's the taste I like. The menu is rich and there are many Taiwanese night market snacks. The service is warm and thoughtful, very good! I’ll be bringing my mother next time to try more menu option.

We came here with high hopes, but unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We ordered the duck blood stinky tofu, and while we understand that stinky tofu is supposed to have a strong smell, this version was overwhelmingly pungent—so much so that after just one bite, it made us feel nauseous and ruined the rest of the meal. Trying to be polite, we asked the server if this was how the dish was supposed to taste. She gave us a glance and walked away without a response. When we followed up again, instead of addressing the question, she asked, “Are you from Taiwan? Have you been to Taiwan?” I replied that I hadn’t, but I have the right to ask. I even said I’d be totally fine if the chef or manager could confirm this was the intended flavor. I asked to speak to the manager, but after a long wait, someone finally came and told us they didn’t have a manager. It was very frustrating—nobody ever properly showed up to resolve the issue, and they refused to refund the dish. Only after a long back-and-forth and after the security staff asked on our behalf did they finally agree to take the dish off the bill. This experience was incredibly disappointing—not just because of the food, but because of the dismissive and unprofessional attitude. We understand that everyone has different tastes, but respectful communication and basic customer service should be a given.

Yelp
This was my second takeout order from this Taiwanese restaurant, and it didn't go as well as the first time. I ordered the water spinach stir-fried regular noodles (with beef), but kitchen told me I couldn't substitute with rice noodles -- even though they're usually cheaper. When I opened the box, there were only a few strands of water spinach, while noodles made up most of the dish, and even there was more meat than vegetables that I want. If it's labeled a "water spinach" dish on your menu at the first order, i think most of the customers will agree the vegetable should be the focus than noodles. I also found their online menu outdated -- several dishes listed on Yelp were no longer available, which was frustrating. Lastly, I had asked for non-spicy dishes, but all three came with green chili peppers. For someone who can't tolerate spice, this was disappointing. I hope the kitchen can be more careful with spice levels and the owner should update their online menu as well. Also, if you pay for credit card, it will have some few % surcharge. After this visit, I understand why the dining room was empty both times that I came. I'm not sure if I will visit the third time, should I give them a try again? What do you guys think?

Yelp
Reviewing as a 2nd gen Taiwanese American, this place is yummy and offers interesting daily specials! I'm sure my parents would have nitpick comments but my friends and I enjoyed our meal. * chicken ginseng soup (5/5) - incredible homey flavor made w organic ingredients * popcorn chicken (4/5) * stinky tofu (4/5) * idiot noodle (5/5) * pork belly bento (5/5) I would recommend trying the daily specials, it seems like the ingredients are fresh and interesting (like 3 cup rabbit). Service was very attentive and kind. Decor is fashionable. Loved the smell of incense right when we walked in.

Yelp
Came by for a dinner gathering with friends and it was a very average experience. We came in around 7:30pm and the place was empty, so we were already worried it wasn't going to be best. The place was very well and ascetically decorated with vintage Taiwanese decors to give it a homey feeling. They had a medium sized menu of Taiwanese food so we went with 3 cup chicken, oyster omelette, beef stew over rice, stinky tofu, and beef shank soup. Food came out quickly and looked great, but everything was a little too salty. They were also not very authentic Taiwanese, and catering more to the western crowd. Service was minimal, but the server was great and interactive. As one of our friend was Taiwanese, she recommended dishes that would resemble what he'd order at home. Unfortunately they were far from what he expected, and were unlikely to come back again.

Yelp
I have been this place for many times. I am local I would say it's really hard to find Taiwanese food in Vegas. They have a lot of dishes you can choose from. Most of them are very tasty and service always good. I can tell the owner must spend a lot of money in the restaurant, nice atmosphere also they have karaoke rooms. I highly recommend it. Come to give it a try!!

Yelp
Came here for Sunday lunch and was eerie to see that there was only 1 other party eating besides me. I wanted to like this place as a Taiwanese as some of the pieces are there but can only bring myself to give 3 stars. Staff are friendly and the place is clean albeit on the colder side. The furniture and ambiance is filled with Chinese touches such as carved wood. In the background a ton of Taiwanese songs from Jay Chou are playing. I decided to order stinky tofu big size as well as minced pork rice bowl. Minced pork rice bowl was $6 so the price is attractive but it's not really that tasty because only a tiny bit of meat atop a ton of rice. Also, the sauce is supposed to permeate the rice so this one did not pass the test. The stinky tofu big size means whole tofu fried then cut up rather than fried cut up tofu. The tofu is not too strong which I don't mind and the garlic soy dip tastes right. The pickled veggies on side taste a bit too young - need more pickling. Hard to try more dishes since I was solo diner but compared with Taiwanese food in my home state of California, this one lags a bit. They do happen to open late with what seems like a club atmosphere so this could be a nice place to have some drinks and eat Taiwanese snacks!

Yelp
YES ! I would recommended this place . Vegas finally has a somehow decent Taiwanese food . It's not 100% authentic but definitely it can fix the craving . I had bento box , fried combo , luwei , herbs soup, noodles etc . It brought me back home . Decor : 8/10 Food : 7/10 (there are few items on the menu the flavor is just not quiet right yet) Service : 6/10 ( hit n miss ) Parking : 1/10 ( it's located in one of the busiest plaza in China Town and parking is just HORRIBLE) Return rate :10/10

Yelp
This is my third visit to Dragon Gate Chinese Restaurant, and I keep coming back for their incredibly authentic Taiwanese food. This time, I ordered the **Sha cha Squid vermicelli Soup**, **Braised Platter**, and **Stinky Tofu**. Their stinky tofu and Sha Cha squid vermicelli soup taste just like what you'd find in Taiwan! The flavors are spot-on and absolutely delicious. The lu Wei platter is another standout--rich, flavorful, and packed with depth. Every time I visit, I make it a point to try something new from their menu, and I've never been disappointed. Dragon Gate has truly mastered the art of Taiwanese cuisine, and I can't recommend it enough. Five stars all the way--I'll definitely be back for more!

Yelp
Wow! Taiwanese food in Vegas! Vegas is known for Taiwanese food desert lol. We practically don't have any good Taiwanese restaurants at this time. Very happy they opened one. Atmosphere: (5/5) wow! They decorated so nicely as if you are walking into the old Chinese movie set. Dragon Gate name is so perfect for the theme. Service: (5/5) it wasn't busy when we went and the service was attentive. Food: (4/5) some items are very authentic while a few were just ok. -Cucumbers (5/5): it was so delicious! Definitely I will order again. -Stinky tofu (5/5): authentic taste except kimchi can be better. -Popcorn chicken (4/5): we got popcorn chicken, chicken cutlet, chicken gizzard. Our favorite was popcorn chicken. -Three cups with intestines and pork stomach (4/5): intestine was really good but pork stomach was so tough to eat. -Sacha beef noodles (3/5): flavor is good but the beef is so tough. -Shrimp omelet (3/5): it was decent but maybe oyster ones would be better. The batter was not thick enough. -Hot Marinated items (3/5): beef quality was not good. We ordered tofu but we got fish tofu. Chicken heart didn't taste very fresh. Overall, the food is quite tasty. I would have given five stars if it wasn't for lots of msg in the food. Everyone was super thirsty after the dinner. Please adjust this off your recipes! However, I will be back and get some of my Taiwanese food fix soon!

Yelp
New Taiwanese spot that opened up and it's amazing! Open late and serving amazing food. Very authentic and the place is huge. They will be doing karaoke in the future and have a whole bar! Cannot wait until they official open the area. Definitely recommend to come by and try their food!

Yelp
It hurts me to write this review. I really want to like this place, and I think this restaurant has a lot of potential, but in the end, 1-star for me. Food - If it's done right, they taste great...the problem is when it's not done right, the food can be dangerous. In my case, the pig blood was not fully cooked, so you can still see raw blood inside. I have attached the photo. I have been eating pig blood for more than 20+ years and I have never experienced this before. This is unacceptable and someone could end up in the hospital. This is the main reason why I can't give this restaurant a better rating. Check all the chickens and intestine before eating. You don't want to get food poisoning especially when you are traveling. Service - Don't expect any service, which I am sure many of you do not have that expectation anyway. I had to walk to the front counter to place the order because no one stopped after our table after we have been seated for 20 minutes. They are not even that busy at all, only 5 tables total in the restaurant. What makes it worse is, they are enforcing an 18% or 20% gratuity for party of 6. I am usually fine with that but not when there is no service. That said, if you have party of 5 or less, there won't be any issue as long as you are okay to "do it yourself" in the restaurant. Location - We used lyft/uber, and I believe it's about $20-ish one-way from the strip. Not bad at all.

Yelp
Lunch date with the girlies and Taiwanese cuisine is on the agenda. Not too busy Sunday lunch so we were seated right away. The decor was very cozy and clean. We ordered the beef noodle soup, dumplings, picked three items for stir fry - stinky tofu, fish cakes and duck blood- and the 3 cup chicken. Food came out pretty quick. The beef noodle soup was very good. Chewy noodles, good broth and tender beef and tendon. Delicious three cup chicken tho the chicken was a bit dry. There was an after taste on the dumplings so I wasn't too keen on it. The stir fry has good flavor though we should have chosen the fried stinky tofu by itself instead of stir fry. It was way too stinky for me. Despite the lack of business - there were only a handful of people dining in - service was spotty. We had to flag down the servers several times because of missing items. It was just ok.

Yelp
It was fantastic for the first time I visited. Food was great and portion size is incredibly generous. Service was excellent. Then I took different friends to go the second and third time it gradually declined. The taste is still good though but the salt and pepper crispy combo portion size just doesn't fit the price. Seems like there's lack of consistency in the kitchen side. Hope they can improve later.

Yelp
Dragon Gate is located at Mountain View Plaza on Jones and Desert Inn. You'll find them near Urban Matcha, right next to Asian BBQ & Noodle. The plaza has plenty of parking but during peak hour, it can be challenging to find an available spot. Inside is beautifully furnished with wood, chinese lanterns, and has ample seating. Menu offers tasty appetizers, cold dish, Taiwanese style street food, salt crisp fried dish, options for vegetarian and tofu, soup, handmade dumplings, noodles, fried rice, bento box, dessert, and beverages of milk tea, juice, coffee, and canned drinks. Basil King Oyster Mushroom ($18) is delicious! It's super crispy, tender inside, lightly flavored, and really good! Mochi Ball Soup (10 pieces, $15) is comforting and delightful served hot. I chose sweet rice balls with black sesame filling and so yummy! Other mochi flavors are red bean and peanut. Service is welcoming and friendly, including Jonathan, he's very kind!

Yelp
I don't know how I haven't heard about this place! But no I have, and I'm telling everyone! We had an amazing time. Paid for a private room and ordered a ton of food. Spent almost 5-6 hours here. Drinks were great, vibes were better. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Finally, a new Taiwanese restaurant opened in Vegas. Lots of authentic Taiwanese dishes. My favorites are Bento Box and Popcorn Chicken. Give a try if you love Taiwanese food.

Yelp
Apparently Dragon Gate makes food for Cue D. Cur D sent me here to ask for help because my food has never arrived for an hour. They said they received no ticket and sent me back to Cue D with no help. 70 degree outside and i just wanted my food. Anyway, no food. Here are the proofs

Yelp
Very traditional Taiwanese food, I personally enjoy the snacks and seafood porridge. It's their soft opening so the schedule might not be stable and accurate.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, great food , great facility!! Authentic Taiwanese cuisine with great hospitality. I have been here several times since open, each time tried different dishes, all tastes amazing. Owner has great spirit and so humble. They have big private room for KTV, maximum 30 people , great for party

Yelp
I don't write a review unless it's really good or very annoying. Food is tasty and service really sucks!! We have been coming here since grand opening and have been seeing the service going down down down. There were 4 tables in the restaurant and two servers but it took them 15 minutes to take our order. One item was not put in and one item was made incorrectly. When we asked the server to take away multiple empty dishes she replied oh just leave it on the table!! The restaurant was NOT busy at all but everything took so long! After giving us the check they didn't bother to come back to collect the money ( the server just stood by the host stand without doing anything). Hope this restaurant will last because I like the food.

Yelp
The food, atmosphere, karaoke options are all out of this world !! We all would recommend this FANTASTIC restaurant for all looking to have a great meal and a good time in Las Vegas and the Bay Area!!

Yelp
I was excited when I found this place on Yelp. I'm Taiwanese and there's really only 1 Taiwanese restaurant that's still in business. This place just opened 1 month ago and I'm glad they did. The whole ambiance is clean and classy. I ordered stinky tofu, squid stew and mini fried combo with fried century egg, fried fish cakes and popcorn chicken (they made a small mistake, instead of popcorn chicken, they gave me fries). I like their foods overall but they are all to the salty side. The stinky tofu is good and somewhat authentic but I think they sprinkled salt on the tofu which made it saltier but the "stinky" taste is still there so it was acceptable. I ended up just not using the sauce. The fried combo was good as well, their fish cake though is not the puffy ones we have in Taiwan, it was very crispy which I like, and I love century eggs in general so that was actually my favorite. The squid stew comes in a huge portion so it's definitely worth the price however, I think they added some ginger in it, the taste of the ginger tasted kinda out of place in the stew, other than that, it was good. My servers were both friendly and great. The kitchen messed up my fried combo so I brought it to their attention, the male server was very apologetic and offered to remake the whole combo for me. I told him it was ok, no need to remake me a new one. He still went above and beyond and got me a separate order of the popcorn chicken with no charge. After all I'm just glad we finally have another Taiwanese place in town and I think they also have karaoke here so they are open late.

Yelp
This place the foods taste like in Taiwan. Every dishes I ordered were good. Our servers were really nice the 2 ladies were at the front. The environment made me feel like I was in Asia. The decorations were really nice. My friend took me here. It was my 1st time trying out. I will let my friends and family know about this place must try.

Yelp
Location is very easy to find. The parking plenty but very easy get crowded during busy time. I like this place, they have very nice interior decorating or design. Food are great. If you like stinky tofu....i think this is the place . The food it's like resemble Taiwanese food. The server very nice and polite. Below are the food I order. My other favorite is pork intestine with pork blood. It's spicy .

Yelp
The best Taiwanese food in Vegas! Excellent environment and super friendly! KTV lounge equipped with high quality sound system and fancy lighting. Great for partying 30+ ppl at the biggest VIP KTV lounge.

Yelp
Great authentic Taiwanese restaurant with many selections on the menu. The service was good, but I will suggest to call before you go to confirm their business hours.

Yelp
Recently launched Dragon Gate offers a terrific interior with ambient nighttime vibe. Tasty well prepared Taiwanese fusion served with attentive service. A fun karaoke spot with friends + imagine ideal high energy experience for larger groups too.
google avatar

Amber L.

Yelp
The food is authentic and 100% Taiwanese, though it was a bit too salty for my taste. However, it pairs well with beer. I deducted two stars because of the restaurant's questionable billing practices. They charge a 3.8% non-cash transaction fee, but the issue is that they add tax to the fee as well. When you first receive the bill, it shows the total food price plus sales tax. However, once you hand over your credit card, the food total and the sales tax amount change. The sales tax is then recalculated based on the food price plus the non-cash transaction fee, which I don't think is fair or legal. Charging a transaction fee is one thing, but taxing that fee feels like double-dipping. Maybe the restaurant, having been open for less than six months, is trying to recoup its investment, but this kind of misleading practice is frustrating and borderline deceptive. It should be discouraged.

Yelp
I definitely recommend this to everyone!! It was a very good experience at this restaurant. The food tastes excellent with a pretty big portion. Their customer service was great too!!! I will definitely come back again ! Its a great option for late night supper since they closes pretty late. My bf and I ordered a bento box and a spicy beef noodle, it was very delicious! The beef noodle soup was my dream beef noodle soup!! The beef was not dry and hard and then it got my favorite Sauerkraut, it was too sour nor no flavor !! My bf ordered the pork chop bento it was crispy and flavorful! On top of the rice theres also minced braised pork! Loved it!!!

Yelp
Amazing Taiwanese food, Big portion, very delicious, beautiful environment. We will come back again.

Yelp
The food is excellent and the perfect little taste of Taiwanese cuisine. We tried the fried chicken, friend squid, and the pork bento. They were all fantastic. The staff was also very friendly and the establishment has a nice vibe. Am genuinely happy to see a place serving real Taiwanese cuisine that hasn't been fusioned to death. If you're looking for a tasty and authentic bite to eat this is the spot.

Eric Y.

Yelp
Best Taiwanese in Vegas! We got the lu rou fan, fried combo with popcorn chicken etc, dumplings, and hong xiao tofu. Super authentic like being in Taiwan. Every dish was on point. Must try if you're looking for Taiwanese food in the Valley. Also, restaurant interior was clean and service friendly. Just what you would expect from a Taiwanese restaurant.

Geoffrey Y.

Yelp
Got everything to-go, so can't speak for the restaurant experience, but the the food I got was some of the best Taiwanese food I've had in Vegas - maybe THE best. I got the stinky tofu, fried intestines, and popcorn chicken bento. All were fantastic, perfectly spiced, with deep flavor and the right textures. The popcorn chicken was very peppery and the basil strong. Shoutout to the stinky tofu though - it is VERY smelly (which is a good thing) and the flavor of the tofu itself was excellent. Prices are pretty good too. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Newly opened Asian restaurant. Delicious and authentic food. Service attentive and food was brought out for our large party of 16 people. Nice ambiance with large tables. Was able to accommodate my gluten-free husband.

Yelp
The environment is good! It very cool, I very like it. It shows Chinese dragon that I very love it! The food is very good too and the waiter: Jay Chen is very nice he gives good recommendations. He was very nice too like a gentleman! Definitely recommend to eat here!

Yelp
The food was very traditional just how I like. The service was excellent and we had the opportunity to tour the facility with the other Johnny who was very friendly and informative. I can't wait to book a night of karaoke with my friends and family. I ordered dumplings, rice, beef noodles and more. Everything was delicious and tasty. I will be back.
