What a fun place to eat!
Fresh Dumplings, Classic Favorites, and Friendly Service
Dragon House in Southlake is a fantastic spot if you’re craving authentic Chinese food with a fun, modern twist. One of the highlights here is watching them make their dumpling dough fresh — right behind a plexiglass screen so you can see the process in action. They offer a great variety of dumplings, each one packed with flavor. Some even come with a little “trick” to eating them (soup dumpling fans will know what I mean!), but they’re all excellent.
In addition to dumplings, they have all the classic Chinese-American favorites — from beef and broccoli to orange chicken, fried rice, and more. The menu has something for everyone.
The space is casual but welcoming, with a mix of large round tables, booths, and regular seating that works well for both couples and families. All ages are welcome, and the vibe is relaxed but always lively.
They also serve beer and wine, which is a nice touch, especially if you’re making an evening of it. It can get busy, and they don’t take reservations, so be prepared for a short wait — anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. Both times I visited, we only waited about 10 minutes.
Service has been consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and keeps things moving smoothly even during peak times.
Whether you’re in the mood for handmade dumplings or just a dependable Chinese meal in a fun, casual setting, Dragon House is a solid choice. Highly recommend
