Dragon Palace

The place looks rundown like any other Chinese restaurant in Allentown. I order from here off and on. I was sick and ordered the Hot and Sour soup. The lady cashier advised me there was no meat in the soup. I ate a quarter of the soup and found chicken in it. Had diarrhea for 3 days. I went back and talked to the lady at the register, and she told me they sometimes put meat in it. I always leave her a nice tip especially due to her having her son there. I told her I wanted a refund, she told me they don’t do that. She would give me a credit. Beware of this place. If they can’t get a simple soup order right, I could only imagine what else is going on behind closed doors. I will never return again. I added the photo of the meat. I checked with other Chinese restaurants and they all said no meat should be in this soup.

I order a order worth $60 and I was given Uncooked Rice and Hard uncooked Brocoli. The only good thing in this expensive order were the eggrolls... I called in to make it right and not put a bad review and the worker just didn't care I was giving a complaint. She was quick to tell me "other costumers don't complain" but you have a 3.8STAR rating. She basically told me figure it out because we cooked it how we always cook it... thats not true because I'm a local costumer and for her to say that I was very disappointed. I do NOT recommend coming here, she also has her son who's like 10 picking up calls and dealing with purchases. I told her I will not be coming back. Go at your own risk

First time here, and i would definitely try again. I got kungpao beef, and it was good. It had a good spice level and was steaming hot. My only negative was that there was ALOT of celery compared to other veg and meat. I will try something else on my next visit.

Absolutely love their food!! Made fresh and doesn’t take long to get!! It’s the same taste and flavor every time I order. (I get the Shrimp Mei-Fun)

Sad to see that my favorite Chinese food spot is gone. Wherever the owners are, thanks for the great food.

Order a shrimp garlic sauce all veggies where all dry and overcooked and the sauce was so heavy and nasty would not order again here

My wife and I been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since moving to the area Most of the ones we tried were very bland. Dragon Place had what we were looking for. Both tasty and good price First time here an the food tasted great Only concern was my wife's spring roll was a bit soggy My egg roll and shrimp w/ lobster sauce was great and have enough for a meal later this week Definitely going back here for more meals

Still my favorite Chinese food in the Lehigh Valley. But I miss their shrimp toast. Love the house lo mein.

Don't let the appearance fool you... this is a real gem, run by an extremely nice family who obviously takes pride in their work and cares about great customer service! I don't see many reviews here, but some from a while back are negative; although their sign out front still says "Dragon Palace", the menu shows it is the "New Dragon Palace", and it seems like the current family is working on updating things as much as they can along the way (in their spare time ;-p). They are a very small team, so I would give them some room to grow into better appearances.. We came and ate in the restaurant, which - again is not very pretty, and the bathroom was broken, but service was fast, and a cut above with attention to detail, extra offerings, and friendly. Additionally, my kids loved the fun chopsticks with characters on top that you could buy which are reusable - especially my son, who is not often adept at the use of chopsticks...these take the hard work out of it for anyone who normally struggles with chopsticks! Now for the food -- most of the menu has many familiar Chinese meals that you will find at many other similar places, but quite honestly, everything about each dish was better than those other places. The vegetables were fresh and crispy, not soggy or limp like many other restaurants. The seafood portions were more than generous and well-presented -- I personally highly recommend the Triple Seafood Szechuan Style meal - it came complete with lobster tail (cut, IN-THE-SHELL!!), shrimp, scallops, and vegetables; every piece of seafood was prepared well and will not disappoint! My only wish is that it was more Szechuan, as I love spicy food (wishing for those REALLY spicy black peppers you see sometimes), but even this was accommodated as they offered me hot pepper oil to go with it! Great Stuff!! Eggrolls and springrolls were awesome, and even my daughter commented these were likely the best she's ever had; I have to agree they are great and highly recommend... We all tried General Tso's chicken as well, and all of us agreed it was the best General Tso's we've ever had - the chicken was crispy, not soggy or squishy as is often the case, yet still covered in that delicious sauce you already know and love! Bottom line - look past the lack of atmosphere and focus on the food and the great family running this place... you will not be disappointed and will end up telling your friends the same! Definitely coming back again very soon!!

just bought this food. I was literally the last customer. don't know if it was rushed as they were closing but it was HORRIBLE I asked for pork fried rice they gave greasy rice the boneless pork was "ok". The second order was pork Lo Mein with sweet and sour chicken. I must say that is WORST LO MEIN I EVER ATE, no flavor it tasted burnt also the chicken also lacked flavor. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS PLACE AGAIN. you want real good tasting Chinese go to China Buffet in Bethlehem.

I will never order from here. I tried to order but was having trouble with verifying my order by phone. It would only let me put in 3 of the 4 digits needed. I called to try another way to order and couldn't understand what she was saying. She proceeded to tell at me because I could not understand her. She kept asking when did I place my order because she didn't have my order. 4 times I repeated that I couldn't verify the order and needed to try another way. She just kept repeating that my order wasn't there which I knew. She was arguing with me for several minutes before I decided to order from another restaurant. It ended up being cheaper and it was delivered with a tip. I wish I could give zero stars since I never got to eat the food.

Everything I have ever gotten from this place has been stellar!! I have looked all over for the crispiest egg rolls in our area, and this is the place!! Their Kung Pao chicken with extra peanuts is divine. Thank you, New Dragon Palace for being there when I am hungry!!

Best Chinese food, esp their General Tso Chicken, around. The people who run this place are very nice and keep the place clean!

I was staying a local hotel for an early next day flight. Asked the manager for something quick and reliable. He recommended NDP as it was one of his staffs favorite. Easy order, quick service and very good. The hot and sour soup could have had a few more veggies etc, rice was okay and the lo mein was very good. If I an in the area again I will surely stop again

DO NOT order from this place !!! this is my first time ordering and i ordered the house special lo mein for my 5 year old niece because she loves it. i get home and empty the food onto a plate and gave her some. thank god she looks at her food before she eats it because there was a spiral piece of metal in her lo mein. my niece could have choked and died on that. i will post a picture. what is wrong with these people? then when i called the restaurant itself the person that answered said oh i'm sorry i wasn't here yesterday can you call back later! are you crazy? call you back later? within 15 minutes a young girl called me back from the restaurant and here i am again explaining what had happened. she said "the only thing i can think of what it may be would be the metal scrubber we use to clean the woks". do not order from this place !!! this is my first time ordering and i ordered the house special lo mein for my 5 year old niece because she loves it. i get home and empty the food onto a plate and gave her some. The food was yummy! Only reason that it isn't 5 stars is that my boyfriend and I were freezing our private parts off because there's no heat in the restaurant. It also smelled of a strong cleaning chemical which isn't bad to most, but I have a sensitive sense of smell. The fish tank with pounds of algae right by the dining area wasn't exactly pleasant either. The food is the most important part though, and they passed that with flyin UPDATE: they're food is excellent, their homemade iced tea is the best, their customer service is excellent, there is no communication barrier, and they're earned 5 stars.

Placed an order at 10o'clock I waited until 11:22 PM to realize they were not coming it really sucked because they should have said something so I could have ordered something before everything is f'n closed

This was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I love Chinese food. All types and all ways made. The won ton skins were as thick as tortillas and tasted like raw bread dough. The broth was canned. The so called chow mein noodles were fat fried dough chips. The beef snow peas was all I could eat but it was so salty I could only eat a few bites. Every thing went in the garbage.

I found this -hole in the wall- place by accident and discovered what a gem I found! while the atmosphere is not the best the food was awesome! The egg rolls were scrumptious and the pork fried rice was very tasty--the broccoli and chicken had big pieces of chicken and plenty of vegetables--best chinese food I have had in ages! and the portion sizes were great...the prices were agreeable as well... I cannot stop thinking about the food there and am going there tomorrow for lunch and bringing some hungry guys along from my work..very very good food--portions and prices!! LOVE THIS PLACE!

First time customer. Called for delivery on a Saturday night. They said it would be about an hour. They were close. Food was still warm. Got a pupu platter and pork loin mein. Chicken on a stick was very good. Found the lo mein a bit salty for me, but all in all, good food for the money.

They have the best general tso sauce I've tried a d I've eaten at many Chinese restaurants!

We ordered food at 7:17. We were told 30-45 minutes, not 10 minute like every other Chinese restaurant in the US. At 8:18 the food still had not arrived and we called to find out where it was they said on it way. At 8:40 it still had not arrived. (we were at a hotel 2.1 miles away) We called and they told us she should be here in 2 mins. 5 mins later our order finally arrived. Only took an 1 hour 40 mins after ordering and an hour later than they had quoted us. Ridiculous!!

This place was pretty good and if you live in the area it is the best for Chinese delivery . Yes ive tried them all around whitehall.No complaints at all . Food tasted very fresh and was pretty good .

Ordered through their online service at 8:37 pm. The estimate time to get out order was 40 to 50 minutes. We waited an hour then tried to call. No one was picking up the phone. Horrible. Absolutely horrible.
