Dragonfly Reiki

Dana, the owner of Dragonfly Reiki, is an incredibly gifted practitioner as well as teacher of the gifted art of Reiki. I was at the mercy of concussion recovery when Dana reached out to suggest a session. When I arrived, we sat and talked for a bit so she could get a fuller understanding of what had happened to me. Afterwards, I lay down on a well-padded massage table, with a pillow under my knees for back comfort. What happened next is hard to explain. Dana began the session at my head, with very warm hands. As she kept working there, it was as though a curtain was pulled away from behind my eyes. As the treatment continued pain receded from several areas that had been affected by the falls I had experienced from which I had developed a concussion. I felt wonderful, no pain, clear vision, a clear head. The very best part is that today (the day after) I am still feeling really good!

I have never done reiki before. I Decided to try and this was a beautiful and peaceful experience. Thank you for reminding of the importance of breathe and being in this moment. I wish blessings to you and others in need of this self care/ reflect moment.

I am a metastatic breast cancer patient who has been coming to Dana for Reiki for almost a year. With Dana's help, I was able to manage the side effects of my chemotherapy and surgeries, as well as the anxiety I dealt with as a result of my diagnosis. Both I and my doctors viewed Reiki as an important part of my treatment and healing. It helped me keep a calm and positive outlook which was necessary to stay stronger during chemo. Dana's new(ish) office in downtown Decatur is comfortable and serene. There are very few distractions in this space (compared to the old space in Candler Park), which allows both those receiving and giving the good "Reiki vibes" to really experience healing on a deeper level. I don't know what I would have done without Dana, her patience and her support over the last 9 or 10 months. While I can't credit Dragonfly Reiki for curing my cancer, I can credit it for helping keep me more grounded while dealing with it.

I came to Dana for a reiki session and ended up signing up for her Reiki I class a few weeks later, since then I have moved onto the Reiki II class, and have plans to take the Reiki Master/Teacher course. Dana is a great teacher and practioner, and gives back to the community with her monthly Reiki Clinics!

Dana is a talented Reiki Master. I signed up as i was preparing for my wedding and had about 6 sessions with her. As I began her sessions a special calm surrounded me and time disappeared. She help me balance my energy and restore my mind and body to balance. Can't thank you enough! Great service, comfortable atmosphere and very professional!

I received a gift certificate for a one hour Reiki session from a friend. I had no idea what Reiki was.....and of course searched for information about it on the internet. In summary, some type of non-invasive energy balancing practice. Being open-minded, I looked forward to my first appointment. I was pleased to meet a very friendly, bright and down-to-earth practitioner. Dana has a nice calm demeanor, not at all "airy fairy". During the session, I could feel tension being released from knotted muscles. In fact, the most benefit was felt a couple of hours after the session when I realized that my usually tense shoulders felt relaxed! Since that first visit, I've become a regular client (6+ months). Dana has been able to alleviate physical pain (from injuries) with long lasting benefits. The sessions are also beneficial for mental stress relief. I'm very grateful to have experienced Reiki under such experienced hands.

I had never experienced Reiki before but I had heard of its beneficial healing abilities. I wanted to take the classes and become a Reiki practitioner to assist myself and (my interest is) animals. So I did my research online. I visited many websites, and the reason I chose Dana was that her website was personable. She sounded like a comfortable person I could connect with. I contacted her by email and the message returned reflected that and more. Dana offered the two classes I was looking for. Reiki I and II offering history, explanations, attunements, and hands on experience, etc. So off I went. I wasn't wrong. Dana was as personable as her website and emails portrayed her to be. She not only went through the history of Reiki but explained the philosophies of Western and Eastern. She took the time to answer questions and recommend further readings. She offered handouts that reiterated and embellished what she shared with us. She gave us the Attunement for the class and gave us time to let the energy flow and ebb in us and around us. In the latter part of the class Dana had us experience Reiki, perform self Reiki and practice Reiki on other members of the class. Dana also shared personal experiences with Reiki and had us share our feelings, etc. throughout the day. I thought this was very important as they 1.) made me realize everyone experiences something a little different depending on what healing needs to take place 2.) how we need to let ourselves go (not be so uptight or try to hard) to let the energy flow within us. and 3.) how practice actually strengthens the healing energy. The second class was a deeper experience as I learned more of Reiki, received more Attunements and practiced once again with fellow Reiki practitioners. The final plus!!! Dana doesn't leave you high and dry after classes. She continues to keep in touch and share her joy and experiences of Reiki . You always know someone is there to assist you and keep you moving forward in what you want to accomplish with Reiki. If you are looking to receive Reiki sessions with Dana and not take classes, she is very experienced. She will work with you on whatever ails you (so to speak).
