A fantastic restaurant for anyone who truly appreciates high-quality food. There is a huge selection of fish, seafood, and meat — no one will leave hungry. The menu is excellent. The local oysters were delicious, and I never thought I would enjoy grilled oysters with garlic, but they were absolutely outstanding — truly above all praise. Any grilled oysters I’ve tried elsewhere were never even close to how good they were here. I also tried alligator tacos for the first time in my life, and it was something absolutely incredible. They were insanely delicious. I had never tried a dish like this before and never expected to like it this much. I will definitely be ordering them again. I also loved the presence of live flowers throughout the restaurant — there were even beautiful fresh flower arrangements in the restroom, which was a very nice touch. Our waiter was very polite and professional, and the entire staff was friendly and pleasant. This is truly a high-quality restaurant, and the prices are quite reasonable for this level. I can absolutely recommend this place.

Brought my lovely date all the way from Fairhope, Alabama to have the famous Charbroiled Oysters and they were worth the trip. We got to watch them being prepared, and that experience alone has created a wonderful memory for us both. Plus, the look of pure pleasure on her face as she tasted her first bite was wonderful. And get this, no sweet tea available😳. But hey, it’s not a deal breaker, just surprising considering it’s New Orleans. Highly recommended!

First time. I'd visit again. My spinach dip with added grilled shrimp was good the temp wasn't what I would have like, felt luke warm. The sweet potato fries and crabcake were awesome. The waitress London-job well done. Thank you so much. She recommended the Mediterranean something with baked fish-which was drum. I'll be back to try. Because the other items filled my belly.

Great place for seafood. I felt a little underdressed in a T-shirt, but sitting at the bar was a nice atmosphere. Ryan the bartender took good care of me. The charbroiled oysters and crabmeat grilled cheese are to die for.

The lobsters were incredibly delicious. The fish was good, but it wasn’t particularly exceptional. The ambiance is far more captivating than what you’ve seen here. They also have plenty of tables. The only downside is their limited operating hours and short working days. However, everything else is excellent.

Very nice place to eat. The charbroiled oysters are famous for a good reason. Alligator bites are crunchy and soft at the same time. Only complaint might be the price...6+ dollars for two pieces of grilled corn is a bit too much.

I guess it’s been that long since I’ve been back to this establishment because it was such a let down. Oysters were very tiny and barely any taste to it. I was looking for that charred smokiness but it was just very underwhelming, the bread to soak up all the sauce was very stale! Oysters were on the smaller side as well. Was not worth $30. And the drinks were worst, was served a warm bear. No frosty glass either. Just room tempt beer and room tempt glass. Quite disappointed.

Excellent food and service. Charbroiled oysters are some of the very best and the Seafood Pasta was not lacking on shrimp or crabmeat. Server was great and you can tell everyone works as a team to get food to the tables. Definitely going back

Drago's seafood restaurant definitely has the best charbroiled oysters! It was fresh, full of flavor! We also love the decoration of the restaurant, especially the Mardi Gras theme. Our waitress is very attentive and welcoming also, a great experience over all!

Service was outstanding- Ryan who has been here darn near 2 years was a super duper bar-back - think you, for being on top of everything- Had the fleur-de-lis shrimp! Not over fried - still very tender. Great sauce on it as well! Sat at the bar, music was on point and not too loud. All in all - a great Welcome to the Big Easy, snack!

Good food, walkable from our hotel, casual ambience - sign me up! We were in NOLA for a long weekend, staying in Metairie, and found this gem on our first night. We came back twice! Food is great, service is superb. We sat in the dining room and at the bar. Both were great! Hubby had a combo with all the Louisiana specialties and he loved it all! I wasn't a hungry so I got a side salad, and while simple, it was very good too.

Service was excellent. Got a seat with no wait. We went for 5:45 pm. That was a great time. Food is always tasty and great presentation ! I loved their Mardi Gras decor. Perfect dinner.

A must go-to spot for some seafood! This place did not disappoint. My friend and I came here after several searches for seafood and what inspired us to come was not only a suggestion but we mainly came for the oysters. Ironically, I didn't have the oysters this time around but I did have the lobster. The Lobster Marco was just what I expected, it was large- flavorful, I got plenty of lobster and the angel hair with the shrimp was ugh, superb. Now, I will say- my friend got the Maine and it was pretty small. They de-shelled it so it was even smaller but I'll say if you order the lobster, get the large or get the Stud (which is per lb. Which minimum is 3 there) Crawfish Mac is a must. While it's not a listed side, you can get it as one and it did not disappoint. I will say it was VERY cheesy and consistency was thin- so depending on how you like your Mac keep that in mind. The service was great, despite closing at 9 this location is the original and despite there being quite a few people and tables, our order came out quickly and piping hot. Five stars alone is for the bread pudding. I do not even like bread pudding and this came out right out the oven and was probably the best bread pudding I have had. You've got to get it with the ice cream, which they add a little cinnamon sugar to. You'll thank me later.

My husband has been to New Orleans many times and has always raved about the food, but nothing like the charbroiled oysters from Drago's. I honestly thought I would be disappointed because of how much he had hyped them up but OH EM GEE were they amazing. I could literally eat these all day. We had them at several places while we visited the city but Drago's was the best. I'm already looking forward to our next Nola visit

We were seated quickly, but it took a couple minutes for ac waitress to come out table. Our waitress turned out to be great. She made sure our drinks stayed full or refreshed and ideas on which appetizers to order. We had decided to eat lighter and just ate oysters, and appetizers. There fresh oysters were plump and sweet, the chargrilled were awesome. The cheeses melted perfectly. There Boudin balls were spicy with a nice remoulade. The alligator bites were hand breaded and tasted like chicken. The crab dip was hot with an abundance of crab. The tortilla chips with the crab dip were fresh but I feel a lighter cracker might be a better accompaniment. Overall I would definitely recommend!!

Came here for a weekday breakfast and fortunately they have their chargrilled oysters then! And for breakfast, they give a flaky biscuit instead of the French bread slices. This was amazing with the buttery garlic goodness. Also got the shrimp and grits which were also delicious but you really come for the oysters.

Whenever I visit NOLA, I'm always on the hunt for oysters. We decided to check out Drago's given its reputation. I ordered both raw and charbroiled oysters, and they were delicious., well-cleaned, generous in size, and full of flavor. We also ordered the CRAWFISH ETOUFEE and a cup of the MAMA RUTH'S SEAFOOD GUMBO. The cup of gumbo was the perfect size for a quick taste, but I was glad that I didn't order the full portion as neither it nor the etoufee left a lasting impression. I'd rate those two 6.5/10. On the plus side, our server Peyton was a delight, and the staff were friendly, which always makes the experience better. I'll definitely be back for the oysters!

My family has been visiting Draco's for years- every time we come to New Orleans. The thing is, I do not like seafood, but my husband and our sons love it, so I always have to find something on the menu for me. Years ago, it was the Parmesan crusted chicken that is sadly no longer on the menu. This past summer, it was a specialty pasta dish that was on a special menu. Today, it was the short rib with mashed potatoes. It was amazing, and so far, the best meal I've had on this trip to New Orleans. Our waitress, Rachel, was fantastic and offered to bring me bread to sop up the rest of the gravy.

This is my second time at Dragos. My first experience was at the Warehouse District location. Of everything I ate in New Orleans, the charbroiled oysters was my favorite. Amazing! What a difference location makes, because the Metairie location, the most expensive of the locations, was disappointing. The flavor of the oysters were acrid and small. We asked our server twice for extra sauce and bread, which we never received. He didn't seem too concerned when he reminded him that we never got what we asked for. The restaurant is huge, located inside the Hilton. It has two beautiful bars and plenty of seating. With char-broiled oysters being such a popular dish in New Orleans, I'd probably try somewhere else.

We went to Drago's last night as a party of 7. This was my first time coming to Drago's and it is a new favorite of mine and a new "I have to do this when I'm in New Orleans" because I am not a local. This was an experience-I regret not getting some swag on my way out. Their dining room is large and comfortable-our party size was easily accommodated. I ordered two local beers-the Abita strawberry and the Abita purple haze (raspberry lager). Both of these beers are awesome-not too sweet and went well with the food. Drago's is famous for their charbroiled oysters and they are worthy of that-they were fantastic! If you like bread, oil, and flavor-these hit the spot, with or without Tabasco. We liked their fried gator bites-these are fried but not heavy, and the sauce they came with was great. Their Blackened Gator tacos were delicious-they were fresh and took to their seasonings well. Seafood Gumbo-this was recommended by the lovely waitress Jessica and it did not disappoint. I came for the gator, and I left craving it even more than I did when I came in, and am joining the massive choir of saying their charbroiled oysters are a phenomenal must do.

Only thing to get here is oysters - raw and charbroiled. Everything else's we tried was mediocre at best. 4 stars for oysters only (which is good enough). Drago's is the OG and they know what they are doing.

Anytime in NOLA, I have to stop by Dragos to have a bite to eat...today however, I celebrated the commissioning of my son to the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant in the Medical Corps. I can say he has followed in the footsteps of his mother when it come down to being an Officer however, he have created his own journey to become a doctor. So, we celebrated at Dragos and I couldn't be more proud of my son and his accomplishments. We were thankful to have Aryana who was the bartender and she was great! She is also a student at LSU but in their nursing program. So, let's get into this bomb food. I ordered the crabmeat au gratin dip and my son ordered the Mediterranean Catch which happened to be drumfish.. I had a blueberry martini and my son had a water with lemon lol! Thank you for such great service in such a relaxing environment. The ambiance was on point for sure! Always good vibes and energy! Until next time, cheers!

Had a great visit at Drago's. First, we were greeted by the oh so sweet Tutty. I loved everything about her welcoming and sweet personality. She made sure we had everything that we needed and definitely persuaded me to order the brownie a la mode that was loaded with ice cream, whipped cream on top of two warm brownies. A great decision indeed! So I started with a lemon drop cocktail. It was pretty good but definitely needed another shot of liquor haha! But of course you can't go to Drago's and not order the chargrilled oysters. We ordered two dozen and they were amazing. Full of cheese and butter and the perfect sized oysters not too small and not too big. I ordered an entree I had never had before the Lobster Marco and let me say I am so glad that I did. The lobster was steamed so well. The meat came out of the shell with ease. The pasta in the middle had a great flavor and was full of shrimp. I would definitely order it again. I left the restaurant stuffed and with leftovers. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

When I say five *insert cuss word* stars!!!!!!!!! By far, in LIFE (and I say this as someone who is a Maryland resident - the seafood state I'll say) - I have eaten thee best charbroiled oysters from Drago's. I would go here again, and again, and again. Literally. On the flip side, I will also say with the same confidence and loud pitch.. that the charbroiled oysters are all that Drago's has. Pictured, you'll see their side salads which are, as plain as a side salad can be. Also, their gumbo was average. To me. But because the girls and I (4 of us total) went to this location due to their oysters, I had to give them 5 stars. The butter, the bread provided, and the oysters by themselves were UH-mazing. No regrets in stopping here, and would come again with no hesitation. By myself, with the girls, at the bar, any seat - consider it a love language location.

Hands down THE BEST chargrilled oysters I've ever had! We came here for lunch while in town. We started with a dozen of chargrilled oysters and ordered the fried oyster platter and crawfish étouffée for mains. While the oyster platter and crawfish étouffée were both solid and had generous portions of oysters and crawfish. The chargrilled oyster definitely stole the show. The combination of fresh oyster, smoky grill flavor, and the creamy, garlicky richness of the butter sauce was a true taste of New Orleans culinary excellence. Now I'm a little sad no chargrilled oysters in Houston can compete. Will definitely be back when we are in town next time!

Charbroiled oysters Seating at the bar = fire show! Perfection! Had to drop by and get a dozen before our flight home. Saturday night was impossible for walking in, but Sunday brunch worked out for us.

We attended an event. The main server was Nick. He was friendly, attentive, and accommodating to our group. The main course and dessert was superb. I usually have their oysters. This was my first time having both items, pasta and bread pudding. Recommend these choices. I would return and have them again. The restaurant is clean, bigger inside than appears on the outside, and usual atmosphere. The crowd was bigger than I expected for mid week, not including our private event on an upper floor. Definitely will return to this location. They have additional parking, which I'm glad it has been added. Previous visits, we would carpool due to the limited parking.

YES YES YES!!! I will forever recommend this spot to anyone I know who's in New Orleans! I've made it a point to go here every time I'm in the city because the food is so insanely delicious!!! Specifically, I recommend their signature charbroiled oysters and the crawfish fest! The butterfly oysters are my absolute favourite, especially with a few drops of hot sauce! The brownie was also really good but better to share with a group instead of one per person. Service was also wonderful! Blake was our server on our last visit - he was super friendly, sweet and gave us good recommendations. Absolutely must go here when in NOLA!!!

There's something to be said for a restaurant with over 1,000 reviews whose Yelp account remains unclaimed - they know they have a good product. This visit, though, their best product was their waiter - Heath. Early dinner by most standards with a friend. Found plenty of parking and were seated promptly. Very large restaurant but not noisy. Tables spaced just far enough apart. Heath was quick on our drink orders - and quick on subsequent refills (super important to me). Noted they weren't super busy at the moment and encouraged us to enjoy our visiting time. Charbroiled oysters were the rave of my friend, so we split a dozen. Came out much quicker than expected and were very large. Gorgeous presentation. My first taste impression, though, was salty. Nice flavoring and texture, but could have done with less salt. Heath took our food orders and I advised I'd be ordering gumbo to go at the end of the meal. My redfish piccata (recommended by Heath) ($26.95) with a side of the sauteed crabmeat ($11.95) on top with sauteed spinach and risotto was very good, but again, first impression was salty. I got through half the dish and opted to box the rest. Heath had the gumbo brought in less than 5 minutes when requested, and had no problem splitting the oysters between our checks. Even though it was getting busy, he still took a moment to tell us how much he enjoyed waiting on us and please return. Gumbo eaten at home was spicy - and salty - but good. Once the sausage was gone, the remaining chicken gumbo was a lot less spicy, which is cool A splurge restaurant for sure, but will return with friends and family, AND will ask for Heath.

I enjoyed our meal of charbroiled oysters and shrimp with angel hair pasta in a creole sauce. Very tasty and good portion size. Service was quick and friendly. A reliable restaurant for good food and service.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. However, it's not as good as it used to be. The best thing on the menu is what they're famously known for, of course, the charbroiled oysters. The sauce is everything. I mean, garlic butter makes everything tasty, right? Go ahead and request more bread to dip into the extra sauce, too. I used to have a few go-to dishes but over the years, the recipes changed, and it just doesn't taste the same anymore. Service is usually attentive, considering they're always busy. It gets pretty loud in there. Now, parking can be challenging even though there's multiple parking lots.

Dragos is a great spot for charbroiled oysters. The strawberry lemon drop is fireeee. It's pretty sweet so that is a heads up. The lobster Marco HITS! And the brownie a la mode was delicious as well. We had a mix up one visit where the server accidentally charged the CC for another table and wanted to reverse the charge and charge our correct bill. Both of the bills were $300+ so this would have resulted in the CC being taken up by $600+. Our main issue was although the charge would be reversed, it takes 3-5 days for the charge to drop so why tie up someone's CC that much. The difference between our bill and the other table's bill was literally dollars and their bill was higher so we would have rather paid the other tables bill that cost more and they could have the cheaper bill than take up the CC $600+, but the server reversed the charge before telling us what happened. The manager got involved and we thought the problem was solved, however a few days later when looking at my friend's CC statement, there was something fishy going on. I did not like that interaction and did not fully find out what happened as my friend took care of it with the CC company. My other experiences with Dragos was phenomenal and we still tipped the server well, but the confusion definitely dampened the experience and I have personally not been back since. The server was sweet, the manager was professional, but I hate confrontation when I'm trying to enjoy myself so that was more so personal for me not wanting to go back. However I wanted to be fair in my evaluation.

Our trip would not be quite complete without a quick pit stop for chargrilled oysters at Drago's. We were seated quickly, service was also quick (and everyone was so kind) - we ordered a dozen of oysters to snack on and as always, they were delicious and fresh. This location is pretty spacious and tables are fairly spread out. I can't speak on other menu items, but if you must have your oyster fix like me, make it a point to visit Drago's!

Gotta love Drago's! The crabmeat salad was so good I wish I got a bigger portion. Oyster were so fresh and gumbo was ok. Service was great and the ambiance was amazing.

Amazing amazing amazing! One of my favorite restaurants that I have eaten at during my recent trip to The Crescent City. If you love seafood, dining at Drago's is a must! We started off with the charbroiled oysters and they were DELICIOUS. One of the best oysters I've ever had. I'm not usually a fan of oysters because they usually taste like what a dirty diaper would taste like to me? lol. But the oysters here were perfectly seasoned and I wanted to suck that shell dry! Don't leave Drago's without trying these! We also had a side of gator bites. Tastes better than chicken! lol They were so crisp and tasty. If you've never had gator, it's a cross between calamari and chicken. I was skeptical at first but I was impressed. They were great! For my main dish, I ordered the lobster marco. Hands down, my best dish of the trip. The pasta just paired perfectly with the lobster that it was baked into, along with the shrimp. It was perfect and delicious. It was so buttery and the lobster was so fresh. Match made in heaven. I would have given Drago's 5 Stars if it weren't for my husband not liking his dish. It was an anomaly, I believe, because everything else was just so great. The hubby ordered the BBQ Shrimp Pasta and it was just overly seasoned with Cajun seasoning. It was like someone spilled a little too much of the seasoning bottle by mistake into the pot. Oops! Anywho, it wasn't my dish and I did offer the hubby a little bit of my Lobster Marco but not too much cuz it was mine! Come to Drago's! You won't be disappointed. I know I'll be back!

Lag time between courses could have been improved but our waitress was accommodating and the food was good, especially the lobster.

My go to oysters place! Never miss this place when visiting New Orleans! I can eat a dozen if charbroiled oysters and half a dozen raw fresh oysters!

My least favorite Drago's. Seafood pasta 4/10 Au gratin crab dip 3/10 Tooty was was great, but the food at this location lacked seasoning.

This was my first meal in Louisiana and I really wanted to like it, but I found myself finding it incredibly hard to stomach any of the food because of how salty everything was!! :( We ordered a variety of items, including their famous gumbo and oysters, and oh my goodness, salt, salt, salt, salt, and... you guessed it.. SALT! I also ordered their seafood pasta hoping that the entree would fill me out, but I could barely eat two bites. I guess I'm just not used to the creaminess of the food. Don't get me wrong--it's good, but the cream and butter and fat was so overwhelming I found it difficult to muster the courage to swallow. When the waiter came to pick up our plates, he had to ask us if we truly were done with our meal because of how much we had left on our plates. I felt incredibly bad because I do not like wasting food, but I could not find the strength or vision to see me or my partner eat it later tonight. Additionally, I'm not sure if we did anything to upset our waitress. She hardly came to check on us and never came by to fill any water for us either. We had to have another waiter come by and help us move our dirty plates. Overall, I don't think I'd come back here. On the bright side (and the reason why I gave two stars) an old gentleman, whom I think is the general manager, kindly checked in and welcomed us in the beginning.

My customer who turned 90 years old had the best birthday experience ever! The staff were on top of the game and OMG! The food was amazing (as always)! They decorated the back room for her and it was beautifully done.

The food was incredible!! We got their famous chargrilled oysters, and they were extremely flavorful. Definitely in my top 3 of all the oysters I've tried in New Orleans. We also got the crawfish etouffee which was top tier as well. The service was also excellent. The food came out pretty quickly, our waters were always filled up, and our waitress offered to bring out extra dipping bread with the oysters without us even asking. Overall, a superb experience. I'd rate this place a 9.7/10 overall.

Went yesterday for lunch and it was fantastic! The service for lunch yesterday was impeccable. Everyone was on top of it. Food was delicious and lots of fun!

Oyster Rockfeller has been a staple of New Orleans ever since 1899. Antoine's, who was a prestigious restaurantuer during her reign, son was the person who created this infamous dish. The origin behind the dish was that there was a shortage on escargot in the kitchen, so they had to substitute the snails for oysters. And where did the name came from you ask? They were named Rockfeller because of the dish's very rich taste, just like John D. Rockfeller's rich estate. Many establishments have made a rendition of this dish into their own menu and here we have one of them called Dragos. I made reservations for a party of 6 at 6pm earlier in the morning. As soon as you walk into the building, you see flames coming from the grill in the background, and the smell of seafood illuminated throughout the restaurant. We got there with our entire party ready to be seated, but we had to wait for about 15 minutes for our table be ready. So we walked over to their bar area to kill some time and pounded down a few drinks. After about 20 minutes, we then got escorted over to our tables. The server came by to grab our drinks and took our order. We each got something different so that we get a little taste of what Drago has got to offer. They are known for their seafood dishes and Oysters Rockfeller was one items that was a must try from a local. We ordered 3 entrees(Mac Daddy Trio, Lobster Macro, Seafood Pasta) and 3 appetizers(Alligator bites, broiled oysters, fried shrimp) to share. The first thing that came out were the broiled oysters. We were ravenous that we gulfed down them within minutes of them arriving to the table. We thought the oysters were so good that we had to get a second order since it only came in a dozen. It was so buttery and topped off with some cheesy crumbles. I thought I needed a cholesterol check because that thing is not for anyone feint of heart. The only criticism I had was that the oysters had a bit of a burnt flavor due to the over charred bottom of the shell but we had to place a second order in. The alligator bites and shrimp came out shortly after and they crispy and savory. The alligator reminds me of fried Cajun chicken tenders so nothing special here. The sauce was perfectly coated around the shrimp and it was succulently exquisite. It had a nice sweet and sour flavor to each bite. The second rounds of broiled oysters came out and they were perfectly grilled this time. Unlike our first batch, it wasn't as burnt on the bottom, so I had brought that attention to our server that our first batch was extra overcooked compared to the new one, but she said we should have said something during the first rounds of oysters, but being fist time diners, not from the area, and not knowing how it should have properly looked or tasted, then of course I would have said something, but our server was reluctantant to provide a solution to our issue so that's the reason why I didn't give this place a 5 star. Lack of proper customer service care. I got the seafood Pasta and it tasted very similar to an Alfredo pasta dish. The entree itself is perfect for every cheesy lovers paradise. Thick and creamy that makes you want to slurp it all up. The best dish I would say was Lobster Macro. I felt like it was very well balanced in flavors, plus it had a 3 lb grilled lobster with pasta. My overall experience was good one. I did enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant and the food was good. Perfect for a family gathering. If you can, make reservations ahead so you don't have to wait in a long line, and order the broiled oysters! Must TRY!

My friend and I came in at an odd time (3:30 pm on a Saturday) and were still seated right away - but the restaurant was still pretty busy! Service was attentive and quick. We shared the chargrilled oysters - which weren't my favorite, but I can definitely see the appeal - and the boudin - which was my introduction to this New Orlean's staple, and I enjoyed them! Then, we shared the seafood pasta and I'm so glad we did - the portion was huge! But it was so so good - a great helping of shrimp and crab, with a decadent, creamy sauce.

Food was yummy! The rub on their ribeye was fire, I loved it. We were sat within 10 min for five of us on a Thursday night around 7pm. Nothing stands out about the ambiance. A typical dine in restaurant, that could be great for dates, families, or special occasions. Our server (I forgot his name -- had short beard and glasses I think) was very good.

This is a go to every trip to NOLA. It's a nice break from the Burbon chaos and the food is incredible. I recommend the charred oysters and this trip I have the Boudine Shrimp. It was FIRE. Freddie was our waiter and we had him last year. He's incredible as well!

See attached - charged me $10 for a crawfish Mac not even the size of my palm. FYI, my wife just have birth and was hit with quite a surprise

Decent charbroiled oysters, nice atmosphere, good service and drinks. Skip the lobster Mac and cheese. The best bread pudding we ever had.

First time being at this location, wasn't impressed. Food was too salty and my char broiled oysters were heavily saturated with bread crumbs.

4.5! I would give the char grilled oysters five stars. The food is really good, nice staff, and the best oysters I've ever had.
