Charming Stay at Dragsholm Slot – A Highlight of Our Trip||We stayed at Dragsholm Slot on August 26 as two couples traveling together and booked two rooms. Both rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, and featured private terraces overlooking the beautiful castle grounds. The setting was peaceful and picturesque—perfect for a relaxing getaway.||We had hoped to dine at the Michelin-starred restaurant, but it was closed on Saturdays in July. That said, the Bistro was a wonderful alternative. We chose the tasting menu with wine pairings and were absolutely delighted. Christian, the sommelier and our server for the evening, was outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and warm. His wine pairings were spot-on, enhancing every course and making the meal truly special.||While we didn’t get the Michelin-star experience this time, the quality of food and service at the Bistro made it a perfect evening regardless. Dragsholm Slot is a unique and charming destination—we wouldn’t hesitate to return!||

This is a pearl in a beautiful landscape. We stayed one night and everything was perfect from arrival to departure. The place with staff was so amazingly coordinated and genuinely interested in making the story and stay coherent. We had 14 perfect dishes, the wines offered at the restaurant are an outstanding selection. The service, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the story everything was orchestrated to perfection and insight in history in a subtle manner. We are grateful for the experience. Wauh!

Have visited Dragsholm 6 times - this time everything (except the restaurant) sadly crashed. Poor and amateurish staff, they knew nothing about breakfast place, gave wrongly information making us leave the place without breakfast. Yep, laugh, but remember, it is a place making great expectation to their service that they cannot comply.||In other words: Go and dine - but do NOT stay at the hotel/castle. You get fooled.

Extraordinary experience. We booked the gourmet-stay with a night in the castle and the Michelin gourmet dinner. We had matching wine menu and started out adding a glass of Louis roederer batch 244 champagne to the snacks. The food was exceptional, well deserving of the star. The wine menu was very well matched to the dishes and the sommelier was very good at introducing the wines. What really also set this experience apart from other Michelin experiences I had this year, was their ability to serve flavourful and outstanding dishes while accommodating my allergy towards onion and garlic (Which meant I had to have special sauces etc). The experience lasted 6 hours, which was maybe a bit too long as we were quite full 4 hours in. This meant I couldn’t finish half of my wineglasses and the last 5 dishes of the experience. It seems most people was there for 5-6 hours, but I presume the special sauces for me required some extra time for the chefs which is very understandable. The location was beautiful in the countryside and I would definitely recommend to always book an overnight experience here. In addition you had the castle for yourself to roam around and use the facilities, consisting of game rooms, various couch areas, a bar and a museum. The breakfast in the stables was also great, but it was hard to get up early enough when we first finished dinner at 1 AM. So we chose the late breakfast and missed the museum guide. Overall - we absolutely LOVED it, and will definitely come again.

Went for a small day trip from summerhouse to visit the castøe and have lunch. So beautiful area, buildings and just stunning in every way. We would love to come back and spend a Night one time. Great outdoor areas, several places to eat and awesome historic buildings.

Opt for the gourmet stay, you won't be disappointed. 🤗 Great service from check in and all the way until you leave. Beaches on walking distance, dog friendly overall! Perhaps a little too hot in the rooms, but hey it's 800 years old so you really don't mind that AC is missing. Late breakfast is just awesome as well.

We eagerly anticipated our stay at Dragsholm Slot, and it did not disappoint. The estate's surroundings are truly enchanting. An interesting aspect of our check-in experience was that it took place not at the hotel reception but at the restaurant, where breakfast is served. Our Wednesday night arrival coincided with a quieter period, with very few other guests present, and surprisingly, there was no bar service available during our visit. Later, we learned that this reduction in services was typical after the busy season and during midweek stays. It would have been beneficial if we had been informed of this in advance.||The hotel rooms themselves were delightful. We had booked two rooms, and each had its own unique charm. They were elegantly furnished and remarkably quiet, offering high-quality linens and exceptionally comfortable beds. The bathrooms boasted excellent water pressure and featured delightful toiletries that were available for purchase at the check-in/check-out area. While the Wi-Fi was somewhat sluggish, this was to be expected due to the thick walls of the castle.||One suggestion for the hotel would be to provide guests with a map of the castle and some historical background. Although I had some knowledge of the castle's history (thanks to Wikipedia), others in our group did not. We embarked on a self-guided exploration, but we were unsure about which areas were accessible and which were not. While we read that there might be a tour available, it was not offered to us at check-in. In fact, apart from receiving our room keys, we were not provided with any information or recommendations. While exploring on our own was enjoyable, having more information about this incredible hotel and the services it offers would have enhanced our experience.

The restaurant is simply perfect - excellent😄 - come and eat, come and have such a pleasant and delightful time. ||||But stay away from the hotel part - mould in the rooms (at least in our room and bathroom as well), bad and unprofessional guiding to the hotel and its facilities and a strange closing of all light in the hotel in the evening making you wonder if you are a welcomed guest or a pestilence. We have been at the place 5 times before, in the better days, between 2008-2022. At that time it was really a great place to stay, now it is just a shadow of a place that once was great.
