"If you've spent any time perusing the website of Reese Witherspoon's quintessentially Southern lifestyle brand, you'll pretty much know what to expect in the store. Located on 12South, a well-known shopping area, it immediately draws you in with blue-and-white-striped awnings and perennially colorful windows. Once you make it through the shiny navy lacquered doors, you'll find bold floral prints, preppy stripes, and cheeky home goods, like their signature "Totes, Y'all" bags. It's the perfect place to pick up Southern-inspired souvenirs for friends or a cute party dress. "

I had a wonderful shopping experience with the help of Teri and Bree. They helped me select outfits for my daughter’s upcoming rehearsal dinner. They also picked out some additional items outside my comfort zone and was surprised by how much I liked them. I walked away with more than I expected but everything I loved.

Had always wanted to check out one of Reese Witherspoon’s stores. The store was really cute and was decorated for Christmas with considerable merchandising dedicated to books and gift giving given the size of the store. There were quite a few gals ready to assist with anything you could need. Overall was great just didn’t see anything I had to have especially at Christmas time. Did buy my daughter a cute bracelet on clearance. Will def go back at a different time of year. Love that Reese embraces cute, traditional style and really appreciate the Southern vibe.

Google
Charming. Southern hospitality at its finest. Although challenged to find some smaller sizes in the items I was interested in, a nice selection of women’s pieces. Used to have more interesting accessories but did find a few classic blouses and denim flare dress. The store is bright and clean. Colorful and friendly.

Responsive! Helpful! Kind!! Uplifting! Loved my experience in the store! The staff were not rushing us out even though it was so close to closing. They brought items to me they thought I might like. They called be by name, even though I only gave 1 person my items for the dressing room, it was as if they all had waited on me personally! I loved the items I purchased!! Great quality!! This was more than just shopping for new clothes, the staff turned it into a fun experience. I have never had this level of personalized attention until shopping with Draper James!!

I bought their strawberry macaroon dog toy from Petco about 30 minutes ago. In the store, I could see the materials were nice so I got it for my puppy. Unfortunately, the design and function are very bad. The toy was taken apart by my puppy in less than 10 minutes. Waste of money. I also really like Reese Witherspoon so I hoped this would be a great item. Very very disappointed and I do not recommend to any other pet owners.

Google
The staff was incredibly helpful! They brought me different sizes of each item, and I really appreciated their patience. I’d definitely come back here—their selection is great. The best part? They’re cashless. Plus, they have a lounge area for customers to rest

Google
Gorgeous boutique with friendly staff and a smart range of clothing and gifts. Price point was exactly what I expected with their signature totes sitting between $165 and $185. Plenty of small, unique gifts for the roaming tourist and lovely, domestically made clothing so Southern you get sweet tea with it. A fun stop while you're in town - I say can't miss it.

Google
Reese Witherspoon is my North Star ⭐️ & she continues to amaze me, you just know Draper James is run by amazing humans from the top down, my experience at Draper James was top notch & I feel beautiful. It’s hard to explain but a lot of the time as a size 12 I just feel like I’m too “fat” to be in certain stores & when the shops only have xxs-s on the floor you feel dumb even being in there. Not the feeling in Draper James & they’ve made a fan girl for life.

Yelp
Draper James is the epitome of classic southern charm right at the heart of the 12 South neighborhood in Nashville. Their vibrant storefront flows perfectly to the open and airy feel inside filled with bright colors and beautiful patterns! We were greeted as soon as we entered the store, and checked on a few times as be browsed around, which was appreciated, but never felt pressured. You will find a wide variety of items from beautiful tops and dresses to high quality accessories and some elevated Nashville-associated souvenirs. I tried on a few items and had a wonderful associate, Hannah, recommend a beautiful dress which I wound up liking more than what I originally picked out and I bought that! She was super sweet and has a great eye for patterns and fit! I highly recommend dropping in, even if just for browsing in this Nashville boutique staple, and don't forget to check out the beautiful mural on the side of the building! You'll find one of Nashville's more famous murals just across the street for an extra photo op, too!

Yelp
Absolutely ecstatic that I was able to visit the storefront on 12th South. I was greeted right away by fantastic and welcoming sales associates. Everyone was very attentive and answered any questions I had. The clothing, shoes, handbags, and other accessories are all so cute. A store that is truly enjoyable to shop!

Yelp
Great store! Amazing customer service, everyone was super friendly and eager to help. Loved it! The clothes just fit right and love that they are very inclusive and have sizes from 00 to 24.

Yelp
Beautiful store and layout but pricey! Customer service was ok; we were not greeted at the door. Very cute wall art outside for Instagram

Yelp
Reese Witherspoon's store (not to be confused with Kristin Cavallari's store Uncommon James also located in Nashville). The ladies I was with wanted to visit the Flagship store and also check out the other boutiques in the neighborhood. The store is nice, clean, and bright. There were a couple of items that were cute, but I didn't really see anything that I liked enough to spend the money. It definitely has the southern charm vibe. Looking through old photos, I see that they used to serve complimentary sweet tea. I'm assuming they no longer do this because of Covid, but that was a nice touch. The employees were really friendly and very helpful grabbing clothing for my friends to try on. I was chatting with one of the ladies while waiting on my friends. All of the employees were greeting people as they came in and were just overall really nice. The mural outside is a great photo op and it's right across the alley from the "I Believe in Nashville" mural which we didn't realize until we stumbled upon it. We were able to snap a photo of the "I Believe" mural before the line grew, but even if you have to wait, it's not as long of a wait as the Wings mural.

Yelp
Struggled with Draper James customer service. Many items are "final sale" with sizing inconsistent and often wildly misrepresented on the company's website. The company will often swap sizes for some customers but this is applied inconsistently (friends had good luck - repeated outreach re: my order yielded no result) so if you don't reach the "right" person you're out of luck. While I respect that these items are "deeply discounted" (per the customer service rep that emailed me) $100 is a lot to pay for an item that is unusable. Buyer beware - there is a 30 day "review" period for any online reviews... so you may make your purchase decision prior to finding out others are unhappy with their choices. Overall, poor work for a high-end brand. Take your dollars elsewhere.

Yelp
I was in Nashville for the first time and had to stop in. Such a cute store! If you like traditional southern attire this place is for you! Lots of bright colors and patterns. I also loved that they had shirts about Dolly...the ipigame of Southern Class.

Yelp
I don't think I've ever reviewed a clothing store before, but my friends and I had such a good experience here that I needed to leave a review. Before this, I had no idea that Reese Witherspoon had her own store - I'm so glad we stopped in; they had a pretty wide selection out (jackets to dresses to tops to shoes) and although the store was crowded, they held the items we wanted to try and came to get us when it was our turn. They let us share a dressing room and even provided extra items to try on based on what we chose. And guess what? They were SO spot on with the extras they chose - I was very impressed. I ended up getting none of the things I had chosen for myself but instead bought 3 of their recommendations. They also ran back and forth to get us different sizes. Honestly, really great service and they made us feel welcome and didn't rush us at all. Stuff is pricey but 2 of the 3 items I got were 100% cotton. The sales rack is a bit misleading as it's right next to a rack that doesn't have sale items. Would recommend stopping by and trying some items out!

Yelp
This place is adorable! Super cute clothes and home items. Prices are pretty hefty, but that should not be news to any fans of the brand. This area in general is really nice and trendy, with a few mural photo ops right outside and other shops/restaurants all around. Beware of insanely expensive parking nearby - try to park on side streets if you can. Highly recommend to any Reese Witherspoon fan / southern girl!

Raechelle F.

Yelp
The service was attentive. The selection was from kids to adults. The pricing was sort of expensive for some items. The location was in a roll of boutiques. Find street parking if not you will pay lots to park.

Sarah B.

Yelp
I loved this experience! I came here with my husband and two girls. I loved that they had a coffee table with books and couches for him to sit and read to them whole I shopped! I found a beautiful wrap dress and bag for Thanksgiving. Such a fun store with exemplary customer service.

Yelp
If I could give this store less than 1 star I would. The customer service was awful. The store was well staffed, greeters at doors, at least 6 employees walking around and another 3 at the registers. Not one of them approached us to offer help or welcome us in. I watched them walk past to other customers that appeared to look more like their average clientele - preppy, blonde, southern. The staff really just ruined it the entire vibe. Rude, not helpful and very snobby. The clothes looked like Target quality but priced more like Ralph Lauren. I'd much rather support local shops that are staffed with friendly, helpful employees and offer quality clothing.
google avatar

Sylvia O.

Yelp
Yes this store is not for everyone, just like Forever21, Hot Topic, and J Crew are not for everyone, but it's cute and clean with lots of southern charm. It's not in my style or price range either, but I'd visit again. They did have 30% off items in the store. Found a cute tote for 11 bucks!
google avatar

Shawna M.

Yelp
We were greeted at the door with small cups of sweet tea and enjoyed conversation with the staff throughout our shopping experience. I tried on a few items and settled on an adorable dress. I was so pleased that the sizing went up to 3x in the store. As a large person I often find it hard to try in items in the store because it's usually too short or not large enough in general. That wasn't the case at Draper James. The store itself had many places to sit if you aren't the shopping type. The decor made me want to buy new furniture for my home. Definitely stop here on your trip to Nashville.
google avatar

Yelp
We visited last weekend when DJ had a sale going on. Picked up quite some summery stuff for the upcoming season. There was a great variety of spring and summery colors and bright and fresh colors with a wide range of purses, clothes, party favors, shoes, you name it. Being a brand it's definitely on a higher side in terms of cost. My personal preference and choices were met in terms of shopping for a good summer wardrobe.

Yelp
So cute and exactly as expected! Adorable, feminine items. Lots of nods to Dolly as opposed to Reese. Totally worth a stop it if you are in the area!

Yelp
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE Draper James!! Or do I just love Reese Witherspoon that much?! The store is the epitome of southern charm, which from Reese I would expect nothing less. I absolutely loved all the colors and patterns. The store has a wonderful texture and layout as well. They offer sweet tea in adorable cups with paper straws! They were having a tent sale as well so I scored an adorable tote! I'm so excited to use it! The staff was very sweet and helpful! The dressing rooms were wonderful size and the staff was helpful with finding other sizes of items. I can't wait to come back to Nash and see what else Draper James has in store for me!
google avatar

Yelp
Love love love, yes it is covid friendly. Walking in everyone is wearing a mask. When walking in you are greeted, and if you don't have a mask they will had it to you! The clothing is lovely, the service is amazing. If you have a bunch of clothes in your hand the ladies there come up and take it and start a rack for you to try on. Outside the building on the side you are welcome to take pics. Totally for Instagram worthy.
google avatar

Yelp
Draper James is a wonderful boutique placed on the 12th South strip. Just like the rest of the neighborhood this adorable shop is clean, welcoming, and picture perfect. Outside the store you can find benches, a mural, and water bowls for all your four-legged friends. Once you step inside the store you are greeted by staff that offer you the sweetest little cup of sweet tea. The store has beautiful clothing and accessories for the southern belle. The prices are fairly steep, but taking into consideration the material, location, and owner's fame it all adds up. If you're walking down 12th South, Draper James is a go-to, it's absolutely adorable and a fun shop to browse through.

Yelp
While I was checking out, I tried to ask an associate a question as to why there wasn't a location in Charleston. The manager was standing next to her, and decided to answer the question and acted completely offended. She was extremely condescending and just downright rude. I was too appalled and taken aback to say anything, and honestly wish I returned the items I bought. Reese Witherspoon would be ashamed by the service.
google avatar

Yelp
This store gets so many tourists and window shoppers and they know it. I mean it's Reese Witherspoon's store... what'd ya expect? I will say that: + Sweet tea is always appreciated. + Staff is sweet even though there are many tourists, etc. + Items and accessories all look fab. I couldn't help but feel like I was in a much better and stylish Vineyard Vines. My shopping budget doesn't really align here unfortunately but I sure wish it did! Cute store though. :)

Yelp
Reese Witherspoon's store- though not my taste at all. To me it feels pretty Southern- not hip. Not funky. Not cool. I liked walking around but for me there was nothing for me to buy. There are books, bags, shirts and clothes. it has a nice layout and that was nice. But disappointing that it was t what I expected.

Yelp
Hey y'all! If you find yourself in the 12 south area in Nashville, Tennessee you must stop by Draper James. Draper James is a pretty boutique shop owned by miss Resse Witherspoon. You will find women's clothing and accessories such as trinket dishes, handbags, shoes, candles and so much more. When you walk into the store, you are immediately greeted and asked if you would like some sweet tea. (Nice touch) The ladies who work in the store are very helpful and customer service oriented. I felt right at home while shopping. I will definitely be going back before I end my trip. P.S. I was surprised to see that they offered plus size clothing as well. (12-28) check online if you do not see sizes in store. Thank you Reese for DRAPER JAMES!!!

Carrie F.

Yelp
If you want to dress like a picnic blanket or your grandma, these prints and patterns would be perfect. Actually touch the fabrics, the quality feels quite cheap, unfortunately.

Yelp
So glad I stopped in to check it out while passing through Nashville. The staff was so friendly and asked on more than one occasion if I needed help with anything. There was a huge clothing selection with some jewelry and other little things mixed in. There was a nice seating area where my son sat comfortably while shopping. The prices weren't cheap but they weren't super high. I picked up at shirt and sweatshirt while there. There's also a great photo opp on the side of their building.

Yelp
This was the most amazing experience. HUGE SHOUTOUT to the employee Carol. She was so great and helpful (all employees were) but she made my wife feel super loved and welcomed. Even laughed at my wife's jokes she told her. My wife's biggest inspiration and role model is Reese, so to feel that love from Miss Carol felt like an extension of Reese and it made her birthday trip memorable!!
google avatar

Kathleen J.

Yelp
I have enjoyed shopping here on several occasions. At one point, I must have tried on every dress in the store. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. However, I think they are trained to compliment each guest on something they are wearing. Either they love my style or it's a manufactured compliment. Either way, shopping here is such a joy. I tend to watch for sales and like to stop in to purchase gifts for friends.
google avatar

Yelp
Kindest people ever! Suu it we inclusivity to 3x. Darling clothing with a preppy, southern feel. Beautiful mural on south side of building. Lovely lounging area for bored husbands !!! Not to be missed!

Yelp
This is Reese Witherspoon's retail store in the trendy and touristy 12 South area. They offer you sweet tea upon your arrival which is just so charming. The exterior of the building is awesome with its blue and white stripes. The store is full of women's wear (mostly casual), accessories (handbags, keychains, iPhone cases, etc.) and some home goods. I saw a lot of cute dresses that I loved that would be perfect for a garden party (if you are into garden parties). We were greeted right away by an employee and everyone seemed very friendly. The store is actually pretty spacious; I was expecting a smaller boutique type storefront. The prices are steep but it's worth a look if you're into cutesy, pastel-colored clothing or maybe if you just like Reese Witherspoon. It's really like if Elle Woods from Legally Blonde opened a store - just without as much pink.

Yelp
I was in Nashville for a girl's weekend and we wanted to check out the store. It's super cute and filled with fun stuff. We were greeted immediately by a smiling face who offered us sweet tea! I mean how awesome right?!?! It was in a cute little cup with a blue and white paper straw. It was just the thing after coming in from the heat. We all had fun walking around the store. They had some super cute bags and I really loved the "What would Dolly do?" handkerchief. My friend got it, she loves Dolly! The store is located a bit far from the Westin so we took an Uber to meet up with friends in a cute area with shopping, restaurants, and we saw 2 food trucks, well treat trucks, so that was fun! I was glad we made it a stop on our trip. Outside is the beautiful blue and white wall and we believe in Nashville sign. Most of our group missed these, but a friend and I got our photo.

Yelp
I have a question about a product and want to speak with someone and am disgusted to see that there is no phone number available. I absolutely don't do business with companies who can't bother to have real people in place for their customers.

Yelp
My family and I visit Nashville often--some 6 times a year--and we always stop by Draper James for gifts for my mom, sister and niece. I recently visited the store on 09/10/23 and made a large purchase. Because I live out of state, I made it a point to ask if the items I was purchasing were going to go on sale soon. I asked this of the young lady at the register and she said she didn't think so, but checked with her manager to make sure. I spoke to the manager (tall, thin blond woman who wore her hair up) and posed the same question to her. The store manager reassured me that the items I was purchasing would not go on sale anytime soon. She told me that she did not expect the items to go on sale until the end of the fall season. I made my purchase with this advice and reassurance from the store manager. Less than one week later, ALL of these items were 25% off! When I reached out to Draper James' customer service department, they refused to give me the benefit of the sale. They said their store policy is to NOT make price adjustments on previous purchases. I would understand and respect this policy IF the items went on sale 2 weeks later or a month later. In my case, the items were marked down within only 7 days of my purchase. Also, I feel like I was misled by the store clerk and manager becuase I asked about this very issue and was told that the items would not go on sale anytime soon. This makes me feel like I was lied to--like I was purposely deceived. It leaves me with a very sour feeling about Draper James. I will not shop there again and I would caution other consumers from purchasing ANY merchandise from the store at full price. Buyers Beware! Don't purchase anything at Draper James at full price. Trust me, those items will go on sale a few days later!

Yelp
This boutique is owned by the one and only Reese Witherspoon. It has mid priced dresses, clothing and shoes, southern style accessories along with housewares. It's known for the Y'all tote bags and other southern expressions. They serve sweet tea as you shop. It even has lounge chairs for the boyfriends and husbands to hang while the ladies browse. Great little neighborhood with lots of local shops and restaurants.

Lisa T.

Yelp
I gave this cute store 3 stars bc it's super cute. Kind of overrated, but cute! They had limits of who could go in at a time bc it's a smaller store. Some cute items- very pricey. It's more of a "browsing" boutique in my opinion. Had a cute mural and bench outside the store and a bowl of water for the doggos.
google avatar

Kevin T.

Yelp
Great experience shopping here! The staff was attentive and helpful. Love the pattern and prints and look forward to shopping online in the future.

Ana R.

Yelp
I bought a $200.00 purse/bag style. I love it until the threads in the straps started to come apart. The purse was not even 4 months old. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Alison Y.

Yelp
Really cute store! They were serving sweet tea, and snacks. Lots of cute gifts, bags and apparel. Something for everyone! Take a picture by the blue and white wall and the we believe in Nashville mural. I wish I had more time to shop, but we were in a hurry! Love the up and coming area of town!

Yelp
Hey Y'all this store is adorable. Stumbled upon it while exploring Nashville and was so glad. You are greeted with sweet tea when you enter. The customer service was friendly and made great recommendations based on what I had picked out. The store has a couple of spots to sit and relax. The dressing rooms are spacious and well lit. This store is an overall experience. So thankful I got to see it in person.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
Cool looking shop, found several lovely dresses and a eyelet top. Sadly everything looked better on the hanger than on me. Liked the fit and look of this peach or salmon lace dress but the big bell sleeves didn't work for me. Dresses and clothing are definitely unique. Maybe another time.

Yelp
I chose one day for shopping while in Nashville and had to come to Reese's store. I bought a top I can wear for work and a fun t-shirt. A few things: I wish she had more accessories. There were a few behind glass, cant even touch, but very little in the form of earrings. Dont think I saw scarves. The earrings were $55 and no big deal. Didn't see any fun socks, I would have bought those items too. I was also surprised her book wasn't for sale here, I have it and love it "whiskey in a teacup". I thought it was sweet she had the books she chooses for her book club on sale here. A cute place to stop in at (this whole street has cute stores and restaurants). Don't miss it! Also, right outside the door is the "I Believe in Nashville" mural
google avatar

Yelp
I always find something in this store! Super cute clothing, great books and cute little extras! I treated myself to the Dolly anthology book last week, absolutely love it! Also the photo walls outside are fun!

Yelp
Super cute shop. Had never been in the area much, so I stopped in just to browse. Was greeted by young girl, who offered me a glass of sweet tea while I shopped. Took me off guard, but was so cute. I immediately thought, this has to be someone famous' shop. I quickly realized it is Reese Witherspoon's. Very cute shop with a lot of nice items. I did not purchase anything, since I was merely browsing. Definitely a place to stop by. Prices are a little high, but was expected.

Yelp
If you have not yet been into a Draper James store, you must go! This sweet southern charm of a store is so cute and full of sunshine that it should make anyone smile. Mrs. Reese Witherspoon is the proud owner of Draper James, and the line reflects that Southern Belle that is Reese. Even if you aren't southern, there is something for you in this store and you will be greeted with that warm hospitality that they are known for, right when you walk in. As soon as you enter, an employee offers you a teeny tiny to-go sweet tea to sip on while you shop. There are boxes of candies and cookies you can purchase, scattered about throughout the store. There are graphic tees sporting southern charm lingo and dresses that will make you feel like you need to attend the horses races. Cardigans and bags galore. Everything has a touch of sweetness that you just don't find in other stores. It is a bit pricey here (same price point as a coach store), but fun to look around. I suggest everyone take a gander at this magical little store if they get the chance. You may feel like you are on the set of Sweet Home Alabama!

Yelp
Beware of this TOURIST TRAP Their exchange policy needs to be revamped. I received a really cute sweatshirt from Draper James for Christmas. Since I prefer a looser fit, I took the sweatshirt back to exchange it for a larger size. The sales associate incorrectly entered the transaction and returned the funds to the credit card used to purchase my gift. She apologized and said that she should have given me a gift card. I asked to speak with a manager. Needless to say, I was shocked when the Manager sent the Associate back to tell me there was nothing they could do to correct their own mistake. I went into Draper James with a $61.46 gift and I left empty handed and extremely disappointed by their lack of customer service.
google avatar

Joel B.

Yelp
I have never been to the store but have bought gifts for others online. Worst customer service. Quality of clothes is mixed - I had a sweater ordered for someone shrink immediately by at least two sizes. I had to fight with customer service to be able to return it. Not worth the hassle.
google avatar

Angela H.

Yelp
Not my style at all. Gingham galore! If it can be worn, it hand pink or blue gingham on it. The layout of the Nashville store is cute. Employees seem nice to the tourists. It doesn't appear to be a regular store locals visit or shop. This is strictly a photo op/Instagram, let me see what I can buy to say I was here kind of store. I'm not totally knocking it. It's cute. And if you like to dress like a tablecloth, go for it. I actually found a pair of pjs (solid color) that I liked and bought. I didn't take a picture, but I know I was there :)
google avatar

Melisa S.

Yelp
12 south's newest hot spot! Darling Reese has herself a quaint shop in one of the busiest streets in Nashville. And just on the other side of one of Nashville's well known murals. The store is cute and has a great combo of fashion and kitschy items. I think I would have liked everything more if it the clothing was made in the U.S.A and if she had used local designers, etc. Don't come in looking for a bargain, as a simple dress will cost you 300+ dollars and a tee shirt anywhere from 30 to 50. They are quick to greet and offer sweet tea and all the girls always had a smile on their faces. The store isn't huge so it can get crowded rather quickly.
google avatar

Yelp
I Terrible experience. I won't return to this place! I have read the other reviews and have experienced the same issues. Ordered 3 dresses. 2 came in. 2 weeks later after not hearing a word about the 3rd dress, I emailed. I was told to wait 2 days for a response. I waited a week and still no response. I contacted DJ again. This time I was told that they were out of the item. I waited over a month to be told that it was no longer in stock?! This company will not get my business again. They are difficult to work with and appear to use shady business practices. Save yourself some heartache and go elsewhere...plus, it'll probably be less expensive!
