Google
Friendly staff with reasonable prices. There are both indoor and outdoor seating, but outdoor seating is very popular. The food is good quality, but not spectacular. However, can't beat the price and location, plus service.

Google
Beautiful place for breakfast! Ordered the avocado toast and poached eggs...it was the best avocado toast I believe i have ever had. The toast was thick and very tasty. The relish they added to the avocado defined the dish as it gave such a savory flavor to the avocado. So good!

Roberto S. Fierros

Google
Dream cafe was a lovely experience. The location is perfect and the staff super friendly. They sat me in a communal table which sounds like a cool idea. The food was great and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. Good vibes. Small portions but very fulfilling. I had the baked avocado benedics

Christine Kobriger

Google
Best jalapeño steak eggs Benedict I have ever eaten. The blood Mary's were also good. Lovely outdoor seating. The waitress was fantastic. I wished I lived in Grand Junction so I could eat here weekly.

Google
This place was amazing and deserves to be #1. We had to wait about 30 minutes as it was a Sunday morning and very busy (Which is a good sign)! We got seated outside and the service was great. All the waiters we had were lovely and very helpful. I am a Vegetarian so very often not much choice on some menus, but they had so much choice it took me a while to figure out which delicious sounding meal I wanted. All the food coming to tables around us looked wonderful so we were excited for our, and were not disappointed! Everyone loved their food, really tasty and delicious, and lots of it. The guys ate all theirs but I could not finish even half of mine! Not overly too much, just a nice big serving. Dream Potatoes were great, eggs were nice a tasty too. I would definitely go back, and in fact my daughter has been a few times before which is why we went there. Congratulations to a wonderful and looks like a successful restaurant. Many thanks for a great Brunch.

Google
I just discovered this gem. We walked in and loved the atmosphere. The wait-staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious!! I highly recommend the Mac & Cheese. I'm going to be dreaming about it until I can get back there next year. (I'm from out of town). Go! You will not be disappointed!

Google
Amazing atmosphere, and excellent customer service. This place is an gem in the middle of Colorado. It worth swinging by here.

Google
We had the pleasure of eating breakfast here before we headed back home, and it was perfect. The biscuits and gravy and cinnamon roll french toast were all delicious. The service was outstanding and would highly recommend!

Dez C.

Yelp
Their food isn't terribly priced, and very flavorful and different from any other place I've tried. The waitresses in the restaurant are super friendly and the service is very good. It all felt very homey and welcoming. I definitely would come back here

Yelp
Looking to try something in the newer trend year part of Grand Junction we decided to try the dream diner. We got a late start and expected it to be busy around nine and based on the photos could tell it had limited seating so we placed a to go order and and went to the restaurant at the assigned time to pick it up. As expected, the restaurant was completely full with crowds waiting to be seated. Upon going to the counter to pick up my order, they took my payment and then after waiting a couple minutes was told they lost my order in the kitchen and we're just now starting it. They told me it would be the priority order and take just 10 minutes.. It was a little awkward since there was no place to sit, and I basically stood at the counter for the 10 minutes and received my order. The food was good, but not exceptional and I was a little disappointed in the breakfast burrito . The breakfast sandwich was pretty solid though Be prepared if you come during their busy time downtown has limited parking and very few free spots to park close by. It did have a nice fresh atmosphere and could tell it's a popular hangout. I'll give him another shot during one of my next trips up there. Until then, I'll rate them a solid three

David R.

Yelp
Ordered the French toast and when it came out, it tasted like onion. I told the server and she said oh sorry we must've used the same pan to make an omelette no refund no offer for anything nope.

Eilen S.

Yelp
Solid breakfast spot with some tasty options and wonderful service. We passed by on a Sunday during what appeared to be their rush hour (10-11am) there where lots of folks waiting but the wait was totally reasonable at like 20 minutes or so. This spot was definitely the busiest out of all the nearby options. The food was delicious. They do not have an espresso machine tho so no cappuccino or lattes, only regular coffee (there is a coffee shop right next door though if u are picky). Staff was friendly and attentive and I would certainly come here often if I lived near by.

Caroline Y.

Yelp
I stopped here for breakfast on a trip to Grand Junction and really enjoyed my experience! The interior cute and the vibe reminds me of the Snooze chain in Denver. The servers were lovely and friendly. There is a variety of morning cocktails, including mimosas, bloody marys and spiked coffee. I tried the strawberry mimosa which was really delicious and a sizable drink. My partner got the cinnamon roll french toast (not pictured) and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend getting this. We also were kind enough to have gotten a cinnamon roll on the house, so we were able to compare the two. Both were respectively food but I say the French toast is the way to go! I ordered the white water breakfast wrap, which was good, but I thought it could've used more seasoning or a dipper on the side- like salsa. There was ample seating inside and outdoor seating out front. Dream cafe offers vegetarian, vegan, non-dairy, and gluten free accommodations. this is a good spot to come with a friend or a bigger group. I would definitely come back here on another trip!

Yelp
This place has gone way downhill ever since it was sold. Beginning with the non-smiling churlish "hostess" who grudgingly showed us to a booth after we didn't just accept the table by the front door to the reduced portions and the mediocre "whitewater wrap", Dream was a nightmare. I disavow my prior review. NOT Grand Junction's best breakfast place any longer. We will not be returning.

Greg K.

Yelp
The service is shit and not worth the wait. They have you waiting for 45 minutes outside and then at your table for another 10/15 minutes without saying a word to you or bringing water. A smile goes a long way !!! I mean, fake it till you have to make it. It's part of your industry, rolling your eyes and slamming things don't work for most people. ‍‍

Solmaz C.

Yelp
Great spot in the downtown area for brunch. The atmosphere and service were great. Be sure to try their cinnamon roll, one of the best I've had. The waitress recommended their pineapple upside down pancakes but honestly you couldn't taste any pineapple except what was placed on top. The blueberry muffin pancake was much better. The portions, at least for the pancakes, are very large so you may be taking some food home. If in the area, be sure to stop by

Pader V.

Yelp
It was an okay place, I don't think it was too special. My fiancé and I ordered the Steak and Jalapeño Eggs Benedict and a Banana Bread French Toast. Both of our eggs were not runny like how an egg Benedict should be. A little disappointed on that. Second, they forgot to add the cinnamon butter on our banana bread, so they gave it to us on the side. Great environment though, we were seated right away and got our food in a timely manner.

Jen S.

Yelp
This place is a dream I enjoy sitting outside, dogs allowed they just have to stay outside the fence. It's very chill and relaxing place to enjoy brunch. The food is delicious the 3 egg white omelette came out huge along side the dream potatoes and toast. I enjoy a couple of dirty Mary's, which are bomb with the right amount of spice! Service is always great here. I came on Saturday around 11 and was quoted a 25 minute wait, outside wasn't a popular choice so we were seated early. A note...everyone in your party needs to be present before they will seat you.

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great breakfast spot in Grand Junction, this is your place. My husband and I shared: - AM Burrito - Cinnamon Roll French Toast The burrito was very good, but the cinnamon roll french toast was the star of the show. It was one of the best french toasts I've ever had. Make sure to ask for the caramel and icing along with the syrup. They come with the cinnamon roll, but for some reason the french toast comes with less sauce options. There isn't dedicated parking, but we were able to find a spot on the street after some searching. We got there a bit after noon on a Sunday and there was no wait. I'd definitely come back because there were more things I wanted to try.

Ashley P.

Yelp
Great eats at this breakfast spot in Grand Junction. Very generous portions! I went here with my boyfriend and grandpa while we were in town visiting. Everyone enjoyed their meals. No long wait to get in, despite being a breakfast spot on a Sunday. And friendly service. The only thing that would elevate the experience is if they had a coffee bar where guests could order lattes, cappuccinos, etc. If you're looking for some solid eats in downtown Grand Junction, you won't be disappointed here! Just stop at a coffee shop on your way in if you're someone like me that lies having a tasty caffeinated drink to go with their meal!

Hmmmmm O.

Yelp
Had eggs Benedict with the little steak bites and jalapeños. Was very good. Also we had an omelet. Service was very nice and attentive.

Stephanie V.

Yelp
This cute cafe is off Main Street in historic Grand Junction. They have a nice patio with six tables. Plenty of space to tie up the pups around the outside. The inside has a great retro feel. Nice options for bloodys and mimosas. I had the California bene. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the English muffins were great. I liked the asparagus, they were huge. The husbeast had the steak and eggs. It was good but I know he asked for medium and it was done through. No biggie to us but if you're particular about your steak maybe go with something else. They also have a homemade jam and the husbeast really enjoyed it! We saw a few people getting the cinnamon roll and holy moly that looked good! It's huge though! Way too much for us two.

Tammy F.

Yelp
Good breakfast options. Outdoor patio was nice. Nothing particularly memorable. Would go Back to try something else.

Stefanie C.

Yelp
So simple. So delicious. I was going back and forth between 4 and 5 stars, but Dream Cafe really earned this one. From service and venue to coffee and quality of food, I definitely stumbled upon a gem in Grand Junction. Well actually, a friend who used to live here told me about it. I was immediately seated on the shaded outdoor patio--prime for people watching. What stood out most to me on the menu was the Jalapeño Steak Bene. I mean, how often do you see something like that? Grilled steak with jalapenos, chipotle cream cheese, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, and pico de gallo. YUM!! My mouth is watering just reading over that again. That along with a side of hash browns is exactly what I needed that morning. Customer service is fantastic, always delivering smiles and hot cups of coffee. Great spot to get work done too, which is what I did while waiting for my food. Suitable for large groups. Pets are allowed outdoors. Love the retro diner vibe indoors. I'd love to check that out next time. I don't always come to Grand Junction, but this is now a go-to of mine.

Don B.

Yelp
Had the AM burrito at Dream Cafe today. Was too big to eat in one setting. Green chili was good with some kick. Lots of chorizo, cheese and dream potatoes. We've been here twice, and both times were very good. Service is excellent. Had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated on and early Sunday afternoon.

Lucile J.

Yelp
Very cute place! Their jalapeño eggs Benedict was delicious! I wouldn't recommend their biscuits and gravy it was not the best. Very good though I will be dining their again! The service was good!

Annette T.

Yelp
Food was good but kinda pricey. I had the Dream Hash and my partner had a breakfast plate with sausage. Service was great! Nothing super special about the food but it was overall a good experience. It got super packed right as we were leaving, so come early on a Sunday to skip the wait!

Lisa A.

Yelp
Beautiful setting with delicious food. We sat on the patio in June and it was such a wonderful experience.

Reina D.

Yelp
Very nice customer service, they have yummy vegan option, The tofu scramble. Great place to stop and have bfast. Cute little cafe and a cute town.

Mary Anne P.

Yelp
Food was amazing! The service was slow. The wait was long but the food was great. It took a long time for coffee and water. In fact we thought we were ignored. The food was great. For the great food we will return

Etienne L.

Yelp
A very hip local café in the heart of Grand Junction on Main St. service is excellent from the hosting to the waitresses. Awesome atmosphere and feels like you want to be there for more. I had the Jalapeño Eggs Bene with hash brown and it was delicious to the last bite. Even platting was outstanding. You can compliment your food with a tasty Irish Coffee. Definitely a place to eat and recommended.

Nooshin Z.

Yelp
Good fast service for breakfast. I like their fresh fruit bowl and hash and eggs are homemade. yummers.

Roger C.

Yelp
My wife and I ate lunch at Dream Cafe in historic downtown Grand Junction on Main St. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. My wife ordered the Dream Cobb Salad. Food and service were outstanding. The atmosphere was welcoming and hip. We would return!

Teresa R.

Yelp
Food and service is always great. And I love the Main Street vibe. If you come when they're busy, Be patient and don't get mad. It's not fast food :) Don't be n a rush and you'll enjoy it here.

Jan L.

Yelp
Love to visit this place whenever I'm downtown. Although I'm partial to their brunch, I've also enjoyed many lunch itemss

Tracy B.

Yelp
Delicious food in very comfortable sunny atmosphere. We got great service on a busy Sunday morning!

Clarissa L.

Yelp
The food was amazing and filling, but I was honestly more impressed by the team work and service. From what I could tell. Everyone was working together to make sure everything went smoothly. I feel like most restaurants are fend for yourself and figure it out but not here. The whole staff was so kind and just seemed to have a great attitude. My husband ordered a bloody mary and it came out so fast and he said it was delicious and pretty strong. Another highlight was that instead of crayons, they have Wikki Sticks which is basically wax covered yarn for the kids to play with. It kept our toddlers entertained while we waited for our food without any meltdowns.

Chirelle P.

Yelp
Dream cafe was highly recommended by the locals & after waiting 45 minutes in line, I now know why. This place is delicious! They have limited seating & that's why the wait was so long, but well worth it. I had the breakfast tacos. I loved them! I couldn't finish them & I was so sad to leave them on my plate! My friend had the maverick bene loved it minus the hollandaise sauce & gravy mixture. Wasn't your typical benedict because of that. Just seemed like a lot with both on there. Drinks looked delicious! We sat at the bar & I loved watching them make all the festive drinks. Highly recommend!

Eileen K.

Yelp
Love the vibe & great fresh food! The workers are awesome too! The eggs Benny are so yum!!

Austin S.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by a family member who used to live in GJ. It's definitely one of the trendier places in downtown and it gets packed due to its popularity. The service was good and the food was good but nothing amazing unfortunately. I feel that it gets so packed that's the food quality suffers. They do have a pretty diverse menu for drinks and food which is refreshing. Overall it's good, not great but I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a trendy breakfast place, stop by and try it for yourself.

Just A G.

Yelp
Again. Every single time. Poor service, bad coffee and cold eggs. When will GJ restaurants learn!?

Craig P.

Yelp
Amazing! Best breakfast we've had in a while - got the Maverick Bene - so good and original! You can't go wrong at this place.

Kristie A.

Yelp
We NEVER come to GJ without coming here. It is always on the list of things to do. CONSISTENTLY Amazing!! I was super sad when they took the crepes off the menu BUT they do have it sometimes for a special! And TODAY was the Day!! So Happy. Everything is so yummy. You cannot go wrong here. I promise!! The service is always great and we love the ambiance.

Raymond J.

Yelp
Perfect breakfast!! One of the best French toast I've had, Including mine, sometimes that is a factor when I compare . mean cinnamon roll French Toast who wouldn't like this. But these guys did it right, with a perfect thickness and batter. Absolutely magnificent!! Hash brown perfect size and crispy outside not on the inside. Most people just don't know how to cook over easy eggs, so I usually order over med, today I decided to give them a try and these guys know the difference. 2 perfect over easy eggs. My wife had the Colorado Omelette, but to be confused with the Denver omelette. An excellent combination with chopped bacon, sausage, ham, cheddar cheese, hash brown and toast. From our perspective 4 thumbs up !!!

Keenan T.

Yelp
Beautiful and bright place to go for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I went after a morning hike at the Colorado National Monument. I thought there was going to be a wait when I arrived but there was none! The hostess seated me quickly. I'm sorry for the folks who gave one star. I was quite happy with how my visit turned out. I had one of their mimosas. Can't complain other than it was rather small for the price tag. My main course was their Florentine Scramble. It was a great Italian-themed brunch. Definitely recommend this place on your visit to Grand Junction. Try going on a weekday and visit early or towards lunchtime to avoid a long wait.

Simona M.

Yelp
Came to dream cafe with a group of 7 for a birthday brunch- everyone gave 5 stars. The look of the restaurant resembles snooze, and the food is top notch. Prices of food and drinks are fair (especially the mimosas). The service was well above average and that is saying a lot about the service industry in this time and age of limited staffing. The little things such as hot tea selection are typically overlooked, but the entire experience was so excellent. I personally don't eat eggs but everyone who ordered the burrito was very impressed. If you're visiting or haven't been before, I highly recommend!

M W.

Yelp
The inside is cute, pleasant colors. I loved the middle table which is used for singles or mixture of clients. The food was not bad , it was only ok. My husband and I share their corn beef hash. We asked for the hash to be crispy and it came out just regular. The biscuit was soft and has a good taste. The orange juice was good not fresh but still good. The owner/mgr needs to go to customer school of smiles, care n kindness. She was missing that totally.

Jerry J.

Yelp
Great breakfast and service . Eat there every time I'm in Grand Junction Hash browns are always good and crispy

Lou P.

Yelp
I've walked by this place a few dozen times, but it took until now to break a habit and visit. I am now wondering how many other bad choices I've made. We were seated immediately and our server had coffee in front of us right away. Yay! The menu had so many choices that were appealing. I decided on the banana bread French Toast. I will never look at French Toast the same way again. It was delicious. The food appeared quickly. My wife's burrito was enormous and delicious (I'm told, it disappeared quickly). Dream Cafe will be a new habit for me, every time I'm visiting the Big City of GJ.

Krystal R.

Yelp
Cute breakfast restaurants, super friendly, and the breakfast is a must try. Make sure you stop here

William S.

Yelp
A very nice place for breakfast. We had the tofu scramble and pineapple upside down cake pancakes, both gluten free. We would gladly order them again-- except that there are so many other interesting menu items. (We did return that same trip and enjoyed other items.). Coffee was good, not too strong. Service was great. Open on 4th of July, on the parade route. Not a bad wait and the line was managed well. Great service, too. Clean with lots of families, but not loud at all.

Kelli J.

Yelp
Apparently, this is one of the local favorite stops for breakfast! We received a recommendation from several people in addition to online reviews. It's a very elevated diner look which was super cute and the staff was very nice and friendly. You do have to park in the street so you have to find a metered spot and plug the meter when you go to eat here so be prepared. My husband and I each had something different but we found the food to be a little middle of the road. Their dream potatoes were no dream in my book. I thought they were a little bit hard and full of pepper... I couldn't eat them. The eggs Benedict was mediocre and my English muffin was burnt around the edges. My husband's biscuits and gravy was also mediocre... eggs not the way they ordered. The restaurant was busy for lunch by the time we left so maybe we caught them on a bad day, or lunch is better than breakfast.

Angi C.

Yelp
Dream Cafe has a fabulous breakfast! The eggs Benedict was spot on! Service was fantastic. Dream Cafe is right on Main st in downtown Grand Junction. We arrived right when the cafe opened so we had no issues getting a table right away. Highly recommend for a great breakfast!

Juliana L.

Yelp
You know... they named themselves properly. Felt like I was in a dream while I was eating that banana bread French toast. I was a little worried because I really wanted to try it, but didn't want to go into sweetness overload and then BAM! in the middle of my order she asked me how I wanted my eggs and what meat?? Lucky day! It came with both and still wasn't the most expensive thing on the menu. If you're in grand junction take yourself down to Dream Cafe and get you some Dream worthy food.

Raquel M.

Yelp
Pros Friendly staff Food seemed fresh Food arrived fast and hot Everything is clean and well lit Cons -One side of salsa is $2 -?-!-?-! This is (genuinely) hysterical given avocado is $1 and bacon is $1. I will say that when I asked for salsa I wasn't advised I was paying for a bottle of it. This is notable but also totally forgivable. -potatoes are actually hash browns. But not crispy. Anyway just a heads up here

Anna S.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and get the cinnamon French toast!! So good! This place is so cute and comfortable. If I lived here, I would be a regular. Service was great. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here!

Zen B.

Yelp
It's kind of a sad environment. Alot of old smells and bad memories pasted together with eggs and regret. My reflection in the spoon even spoke to me and said, "Why are we putting this spoon in our mouth?" I thought about this for some time. And then responded "I really don't know. It's just customary I guess. What else should I do?" I asked my reflection while smelling old tabasco. "Just leave." The reflection suggested. And I can only reflect his sentiment.
