Dream cakes

Truly a dream maker. We wanted our cake to be a moment at our wedding and Dream Cakes delivered. Our inspo for the cake was "draped and organic and tall" and it turned out better than we could have imagined. For filling we chose coconut cake with passionfruit curd and it was to-die for. We are ordering it again for our wedding video viewing party! In addition to this cake, we also ordered a sheet cake that was marbled chocolate + vanilla cake with German Chocolate filling— it disappeared in minutes! Our guests devoured it all. Dream cakes was fantastic! The cake was delicious and looked beautiful! We did a chocolate and a cookies and cream cake, and both are really tasty. They were nice and light tasting. Highly recommend!

The best wedding cake we could have ordered!! We ordered the sampler to see if we would like it, and let me tell you EVERY flavor was DELICIOUS! We ended up choosing our own combination (lemon cake, raspberry compote, and vanilla buttercream) and did a custom cake. We provided an inspo picture, and the cake we received was better looking than the inspiration!! Not to mention the cake is the best thing we have tasted!! The whole process was seamless, and she provides specific cake care instructions that make it so easy. The best decision! Highly recommend!

Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning and tasted even better than it looked! We chose the strawberry shortcake with homemade buttercream - truly next level delicious. We loved it so much! 😄 Also, the tasting was such a fun experience (every flavor was amazing!) Johannah is incredibly talented. Couldn’t recommend more!

We got married in 2019 and didn't even look for another baker because we had Dream Cakes at a friends wedding. The process was so easy and we LOVE the sample cakes. Not only was it great to pick our flavors but whenever we want to celebrate our anniversary we can purchase a sample cake to remember the day. Many of our guests thought the cake was fake because it looked so perfect. They are awesome to work with, can't recommend Dream Cakes enough!

May 2025 We were from out of state and holding our wedding here in Vancouver. Felt a little nervous looking up a wedding baker in a town we didn't know. Dream cakes had the best ratings. Checked her site and noticed she uses pastry vocabulary that demonstrates deep knowledge of the art. I'm a pastry chef myself and knew right away I could trust her work. Felt nervous at the prices but ordered the smallest two layered cake. I was BLOWN AWAY when I finally tasted it. Moist cake, not dry, fresh fruit, ganash that didn't taste like it was mostly sugar, and a buttercream frosting that's better than any cheap chemical frosting you might get on a cake from Walmart. We were eating it for breakfast the next day. Johanna was great to communicate with, everything was ready on pick up, and she even had us come back to drop of the plexiglass bottom for a slight refund and a military discount that wasn't initially added to the pay online. 100% recommend.

Dream Cakes created the most beautiful (and delicious!) wedding cake we could have ever imagined. They hand-painted gorgeous floral details that perfectly matched our wedding flowers. The cake was truly a work of art and almost too stunning to cut into. The design was so thoughtful and cohesive with the rest of our décor, and it wowed both us and our guests. And the flavors were unforgettable. We chose chocolate with toffee crunch and white cake with lemon curd and fresh berries, and both were absolutely divine. Guests were lining up for seconds and are still talking about how good it was! Dream Cakes not only delivered on flavor and beauty but also exceeded our expectations in every way. Their artistry, creativity, and attention to detail made our cake one of the highlights of the reception.

My daughter was in love with her 4th birthday cake! We ordered a marble cake with Nutella filling, and it was the best cake we have ever had! We will definitely be using dream cakes for all bday and special occasion events. Thanks again so much

We sampled cakes from here for our wedding earlier this year. They were a little spendy but very cute. I will say that we were disappointed. I had seen great reviews for their cakes but we found them lackluster and really nothing special. Maybe we had an off batch, but we were hoping for something more memorable than what we sampled.

Dream Cakes is truly a bride's dream! Johanna was so easy to work with. I wasn't able to attend the tasting with my granddaughter but it must have been terribly hard for her to decide amongst all the flavors and looks. She drew a picture of what she wanted the cake to look like and the Dream Cake was just perfect! The flavors she chose were lemon cake with lemon curd and berry filling, carrot cake with toffee crunch filling, and dark chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and salted caramel. People raved about each tier but I heard the chocolate was particularly divine. The set up was perfectly done by them with fresh orchids completing the look. I cannot say enough about Dream Cakes and I'm hoping to have another occasion so we can try new flavors!

Our wedding cake was delicious and beautiful! After sampling a few places, this was heads and above what came to expect from cake tasting. Johannah was so fun to work with and put up with us as we leafed through each and every page of her example work. They are also extremely flexible - all three tiers were a different flavor. Dream Cakes has everything down to a very, very delicious science. If you're thinking about it, do yourself a favor and book with Dream Cakes!

Wow this place is great. Got their cake sampler and they were amazing. Make sure you follow their directions and leave it out of the Fridge. The longer it's out the better it gets (think 4 or 5 hours) The frosting will be soft and creamy and the cake nice and tender. Staff is super friendly and responsive over email

Two words: TOFFEE CRUNCHIES Actually, that's doesn't at all do Dream Cakes justice, but we gotta start there. Toffee crunchies might be my all-time favorite cake topping/filling. You can get it in between the layers or on the outside - I recommend both. Other filling options include buttercream and salted caramel, and all of them are solid choices. I requested alternate layers of chocolate and white cake, with multiple different fillings. I was afraid my request might be annoyingly onerous, but Johannah and Megan at Dream Cakes are the sweetest people - they told me it was fun to make! Overall, this is probably the best cake I've ever had. Follow their advice and wait til the cake warms to room temperature, as the luscious high-quality butter in the cake softens and makes the whole bite irresistibly moist, and a perfect contrast to the toffee crunchies. The cake is the perfect (in my opinion) level of sweetness, still incredibly indulgent but noticeably less sweet than a cake you'd get at a supermarket, at Costco, or at a lesser bakery, where extra sugar might be used to disguise other imperfections in the cake. No need of that here. I think it's only during pandemic lockdown that Dream Cakes has been doing smaller individual (non-wedding) orders, so order from them while you can! One of the brightest silver linings of 2020!

We ordered a dream cake for our wedding and it really was a dreamy cake! We tried the sampler box, but the real cake still blew us away. We love chocolate, so our selections were marble cake with nutella and vanilla custard fillings and dark chocolate cake with salted caramel and German chocolate fillings. Wow! This was delicious and perfect for our wedding. We chose the stucco style frosting decoration and loved the way it turned out. Our florist added some chocolate coated (food safety) flowers to the top of the cake which I really loved how it all came out. We will definitely be recommending and coming back to Dream Cakes for future celebration cakes!

Wow! Such a special treat. I picked up a wedding cake sampler that was delightful. They also provided an "Oregon Bride" magazine with the sampler which highlighted a few weddings they worked on in 2020. I thought that was a nice touch. The cakes were actually mini 2? inch cakes, rather than tiny bites that other local bakeries offer! A little bit of the butter cream icing stuck to the box but that is not a big deal as I'm sure on my wedding day this would not be a thing. The women in the shop were very nice upon arrival and showed great interest in my wedding day and possible cake design. I have not picked a bakery yet but they are high on my list, especially after tasting their scrumptious cakes!

I found Dream Cakes on IG and once I seen their work, I knew I had to have them do my wedding cake! I'm not even a cake person but their cake tastes and look amazing! 10/10 recommend! Thank you for making our wedding cake perfect!

Their cakes are absolutely incredible! I found them through Victoria Bar and have been so obsessed with them. As someone who is dairy sensitive it has been incredible to find a bakery that can make delicious vegan cakes! Was lucky enough to get one of their smaller cakes for Valentines Day.

I recommend this place for wedding cake and dessert!! The online ordering was SO easy. I tend to put off phone calls because of anxiety so I'm so glad there was a way to order online without ever having to call! They emailed me after I ordered to request any pictures of what I envisioned. The cake is what I envisioned exactly. I ordered a 7" cake, red velvet cake bites, lemon squares, and chocolate chip cookies. Cake: funfetti cake with a black and gold watercolor design. The taste was immaculate! So delicious. There is so much cake and frosting to even a 7" cake so it could probably feed more than what their suggestions is. I had a couple people that don't typically like cake and they said this was delicious and would eat it again. Red velvet cake bites: also delicious! My partner isn't big on cake but loves red velvet so we had to order these and we are so glad we did. These were so easy to just walk by and pop one in your mouth. Lemon squares: these weren't my favorite, but they were still good. I wouldn't order them again but there were a couple people at my reception that said they were really good. Chocolate chip cookies: these were completely gone by the end of the night. We were weary on ordering because of the price but when looking at other bakery's to just order cookies, this was still the cheapest option. We are glad we ordered them because they were delicious and were a hit for everyone! Overall definitely a 5 star place! Ordering was so simple, pickup was quick and easy. Cake and dessert was everything I wanted.

Dream Cakes are simply the best. We have had small cakes from Dream Cakes at all of our celebrations since June. Johanna and her team are amazing bakers. I know things will get back to some kind of normal someday. I hope that when they do Dream Cakes will continue to make small personal cakes. We love their cakes and being able to include them with our celebrations. Our definition of celebration: any reason we can make to order a cake.

Dream Cakes lived up to their name - they are a dream to work with and you'll be dreaming of their cake afterward! Every stage working with Johannah was a breeze. Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious and reasonably priced. We moved to New York City this summer but we have already talked about getting Dream Cakes when we come back to visit. It's not often I get to use the word "craveable" but Jo's cheesecakes are just that- INCREDIBLE! Professional, talented, generous and did I say delicious? Highly, highly, highly recommend and the shop is absolutely adorable. 11/10 recommend.

I've eaten a lot of cake and decorated even more during the last 20 years as a wedding florist with a major sweet tooth! Dream Cakes is the absolute best in terms of both flavor and design. If you're looking for an extraordinarily special cake for your event look no further. She's the best!

All I can say is WOW! When my husband and I walked into our wedding reception, the first thing that stood out to me over everything else was the cake. It was absolutely amazing! I was thrilled about how well the design turned out. Johannah was such an easy person to work with. She was fun, and excited to do our cake. The flavors were phenomenal! My husband and I ended up eating the top of our cake instead of saving it, and decided to just order a small version at our 1 year anniversary so we can enjoy one of Johannah's cakes again. I highly recommend Dream Cakes for any desserts, but especially wedding cake with fin designs.

I walked in with high hopes, a creative vision and full of enthusiasm...what I received was an unexcited "yes...what can I do for you?", "I have 8 cakes to make, what do you want?" and "you know what, I really do not have time for you" from the baker. I can definitely understand not having time and being busy, but this bad mouthed experience takes the Cake for the worst customer service of all time. I'm sorry, there's a proper way to approach any situation...you took the worst. Lost a customer and I wouldn't recommend you if you were the last baker on this side of the Mississippi River.

I recently coordinated a wedding where Dream Cakes provided the cake. Delicious! (And I say this as a professional wedding planner who eats a lot of wedding cake.) I also found Johannah of Dream Cakes a breeze to work with who went above and beyond to help the couple enjoy their day. Thanks, Johannah!

Ordered a cake for my sisters bridal shower and they were super good at communicating with me what I wanted and everything. Also the cake turned out way better than I ever thought and it tasted amazing!

I would have given five stars for flavor ... Some of the best cake I have ever eaten. However... We ordered our wedding cake and wanted fresh flowers on the cake. She asked to have the flowers next to the cake when she dropped it off so she could set up the flowers. We did not have everything set up yet and did not have the flowers out so she dropped off the cake and left! The cake was plain white from the buttercream with no decoration. Luckily the caterer (Voila Catering) stepped up and decorated the cake for us! They saved the day!

Johannah and Megan (Dream Cakes) did a fabulous job and we loved our cake. From the moment we went in for our tasting, we knew this was going to be great. They were so pleasant and easy to talk to, as well as clearly knowledgeable about making beautiful, delicious cakes. We tried three samples (all of which were delicious) and they listened to what we were thinking, providing very helpful advice. On the day of, the cake was gorgeous and so many of the guests commented on how good it was. Dream Cakes is definitely the way to go - highly recommend!

Huge disappointment dealing with an unprofessional owner. Everything the owner said she would do, she backpedaled out of. From agreeing to take the job in the first place, the fees for the job which kept inching upward because she changed her mind--even though the parameters didn't budge, the payment options for the job adding fees unspoken of earlier, the broken agreement to provide a drawing for approval, the excuse of "so many weddings to do"... she should never have agreed to take the project, but on the day before the scheduled pick up, which she set the date of according to her schedule, she called to tell me she would not do the job. The day before the pick up!! She could have told me the day I walked in that she didn't want the job, but she jacked me around for ten days while changing the terms all the way through, and then pulled it at the last minute, giving me the ridiculous excuse of "I didn't think you would be happy with it". She knew exactly what my expectation was from the beginning as it never wavered. What wavered was her ability to stick to a commitment she made. I would never work with this company to provide any service ever again, especially a wedding cake! Buyer beware.

Our day-of coordinator recommended Johannah and we eagerly signed up for a tasting. Not only was the tasting portion enormous (and she sent us home with it), but the cake was effing delicious. During the consultation, we asked her about the possibility of dyeing each layer of the white butter cake a different color of the rainbow for our big gay wedding, and she happily agreed for a nominal extra fee to cover the dyes and extra layers. (Another big cake-maker in town refused to dye the cake and only dye the frosting. What fun is that?!) The result was absolutely phenomenal! It was a huge surprise for our guests as we cut into it (as planned), and we chose an accent tier of dark chocolate and salted caramel filling for the chocolate-lovers in the crowd. I can't decide which one I like best! The pricing was reasonable, her delivery on time, and she was super easy to work with. We will definitely be back for future birthday and anniversary cakes. Thanks, Johannah! One logistical note: if you order the salted caramel filling, be warned that it should be kept refrigerated once it's been cut open. Not because it will go bad, but because the caramel will leak out of the middle of the cake all over the plate if you leave it at room temperature! Scooping up salted caramel with your fingers and licking them off, though? Totally worth it.

My fiancé and I met with Johannah for a tasting recently. We were taken aback by 1) how warm/inviting/adorable the cake shop is, and 2) how present Johannah was with us. This experience followed by how beautiful and delicious the cake was? . . . Dream Cakes is a solid 5 stars.

Johannah and her team did our wedding cake and it was just as delicious as we expected it to be. Our wish for our cake was focused around great taste, with classic simple look, as far as possible from any fondant designs. She has her rules, it is her shop and if your wishes and plans do not fit within those rules, then you need to look somewhere else. She made that very clear on day one. But we never had any doubts about her and we ended up with a very pretty cake which tasted wonderful. Exactly what we asked for.

Johannah and Megan made our wedding cake dreams come true - Dream Cakes, indeed! They were so wonderful to work with and our cake was absolutely delish. People were going back for seconds and thirds! It was absolutely gorgeous too. Highly recommend. You won't be sorry!

I'm upset I've been following dream cakes for a while on Instagram before i even got engaged, so when it came time to choosing a cake I had dream cakes on my mind. I sent two request online, and a voicemail to be contacted to set up a cake tasting unfortunately no one got back to me. If they weren't available for my wedding date I would been bummed but I would have been understanding.

I got the recommendation from one of my friend and I order my boyfriend's birthday cake from them. It was one of the best and delicious cake I ever had. The texture, flavor and design were amazing. Very easy to work with and was very accommodating for our small wedding cake. Johannah was very organized and super responsive during our whole ordering process and the pickup was quick and easy. Not to mention the cake was a huge hit and everyone loved it! Definitely worth it!

My daughter Eleana and I chose Dreamcakes for the wedding cakes based on their photographs and excellent reviews. My daughter is vegan so we had 3 different choices for guests. The 3-tiered wedding cake was not only beautiful to look at but was THE BEST cake of its type that I have ever eaten!!! It was a carrot cake with toffee, and the light crunch of the Toffee made the flavor so interesting, and the buttercream was to die for! Every guest who had a slice agreed that it was extraordinary! We also had a small vegan cake and gluten-free cupcakes, all wonderful! Thank you Johanna and staff! Amazing job!!

Dream Cakes was an amazing addition to our wedding. Judy is by appointments only, but trust me when I say that its a call worth making. My coordinator found Judy and set up a last minute appointment for us with her. She was friendly and super prepared for our meeting. She took our information and then went through some cake designs with us. My favorite part, she sent home samples of cake with us. So rather than sitting there with the baker looking at you while you eat the cake, we got to take it home and discuss our feelings honestly. The cake was AMAZING! Our wedding cake was three layers of chocolate with dark chocolate ganache and fresh rasberries, coconut cake with coconut cream filing and fresh coconut, and carrot cake with toffee brittle. I highly recommend all three. Moist, fresh ingredients, and a great selection of butter cream flavors. The cake itself was beautiful and exactly what we had asked for. The delivery fee of $50 was well worth it and the cake itself was very reasonably priced. Oh, and our groomscake was awesome too. Chocolate hazelnut cake... YUM! We got a lot of comments on how great the cake was. I highly recommend Judy for your wedding date, just make sure you call ahead to make an appointment. :)

Very rude on the phone. I called on August 4th, 2016 a small wedding cake for my wedding. And she said rudely she wasn't taking more orders for Summer. My wedding is September 16th. Party of 12 only. Really???

The new owner, Johannah, is just amazing. She made cupcakes for my wedding that people talked about for weeks. She is professional, educated, responsive, and best of all, A RIDICULOUS CUPCAKE GURU. She also made these lavender blueberry muffin/scone things that my wedding party loved and ate while we all got ready. I don't take desserts lightly. I visited/tasted and corresponded with at least 15 different places. Johannah just knocked my socks off! She also makes vegan treats that you'd swear were full of delicious animal fats, but no...she's just that good!

My finacee and I tried Judy's cakes on Saturday. By Sunday we had decided to go with her. So I emailed her told her all of my fun ideas and flavor combinations. Monday morning I wake up to an e-mail saying she is already booked. Even though she had said we would have at least a week. Why didn't she call us first if someone else inquired about the same date? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I will never recommend her to anyone, or hire her for anything. She might be nice and her cakes might be good, but that sub-level of customer service is something I will never accept. UPDATE: She did apologize for what happened.

THESE CAKES ARE SO GOOD. Johannah and her team are a dream to work with. For the tasting you get three mini cakes to take home and enjoy at your leisure - no one breathing over your shoulder waiting for you to taste it. The prices are super reasonable, especially for the quality you're getting. Johannah is super nice and really responsive via email. We coordinated everything over email since we're from out of town, and the cake turned out beautifully. Everyone loved it, especially me; I'm still thinking about it. You can't go wrong with Dream Cakes for your wedding cake!

My daughter ordered a two-tiered cake for a baby shower. She didn't get what ordered...it was a white plain white cake no decorations. Except a topper. The cost $300! The taste was like eating butter cubes..thick no flavor. It was supposed to have fresh berry filling but this came as a few mixed berries mixed in more butter..way too thick. One layer was supposed to be chocolate ganache. Not only was the cost excessive, my daughter called me very upset after after being treated rudely by cake decorator Meagan. She didnt give my daughter a chance to speak and someone was yelling in the background just get her address. My daughter was just trying to come up with a reasonable resolution and fair credit for the flavor error. For an upscale wanna be bakery, they acted like the we're straight out of the ghetto!

Judy created a three-tied buttercream frosted (no fondant for me, blech!) cake for my wedding. The whole process was very easy, and her shop always smelled absolutely delicious when we stepped in for meetings. I loved that, in lieu of the standard sit-down tasting, she provided us with mini cakes to take home and sample in the comfort in our own home. My fiance and I actually ended up invited a bunch of people to Starbucks and digging into the samples, lol, because the portions were GENEROUS. I was thrilled with the actual cake, and it made the process even easier when Judy let us borrow her silver cake stand free of charge. Since we don't live anywhere near Portland, Judy also offered to bake us a first anniversary cake the next time we were in town, because who really wants to do the whole "freeze the top layer and 'enjoy' it defrosted a year later" thing, anyway? ***One thing to note is that Judy is a bit quirky, though. You do have to put your faith in her to some extent, because, e.g., she simply does not do sketches (which I thought was pretty odd..... even my FLORIST did a quick cake sketch to help me visualize the final cake design). But put your trust in Judy, and you will have a beautiful, delicious, sinfully rich creation for your event. :) Thanks, Dream Cakes!

I hate to share this secret with everyone because I know it may get even more difficult to reserve a cake, but DreamCakes is now taking weekly cake orders for small events during COVID!!! Their cakes are out of this world, so incredibly delicious. The buttercream is to die for. The texture and flavors are so well balanced and not overly sweet. The best part is... they're so reasonably priced given the quality of cake you're getting (I would say maybe $5-$8 more than your standard cake from any other bakeries). We ordered a three tier cake for our wedding last year and the entire cake was gone in 30 minutes. Many of our guests said they had 2 or more servings. With how busy our wedding day was, we didn't even get to eat our cake. Fortunately, our caterers set aside 3 slices for us. I was so disappointed to find out that somebody got the midnight munchies and ate half of what was left for us. Thankfully, Johannah and her team are now taking small cake orders. Love you guys and your fantastic cakes!!!

We picked up three beautiful tasting cakes with the most popular flavors. They were all delicious. One thing we appreciated was that the frosting is light and not too sweet. It doesn't overpower the flavor of the cake at all, which we have seen at other places in town. Great customer service and responsiveness.

Judy did the cake for our wedding (last year) and it was fantastic! They are by appointment only, so you can't just drop by to browse. She gave us our samples to go, which at first I thought was a little weird, just because it wasn't what I expected. But, kind of nice to be able to try them privately and decide what we thought without the pressure of her sitting there watching us. Her prices are very reasonable as far as wedding cakes go. The price I was quoted was almost half of a similar size vegan cake I was quoted at Piece of Cake. She definitely has some strict and kind of unusual rules about how and when she likes to communicate about the cakes. Also FYI, if you want a red velvet cake, this is not your place. She won't make them because of all the food coloring required. We had 3 tiered cake - 2 tiers with chocolate cake and chocolate ganache with fresh whole rasberries, and one orange sponge cake with chocolate ganache. It was sooo good - the entire thing was devoured. I would definitely use her again.

Planned a Portland wedding from SC with the Bride in HI and the Groom in TN! Dream Cakes was chosen to make the cake after the Brides mom, an aunt, the best man and I were lucky enough to enjoy cake tastings from 3 of the "top" cake bakeries in Portland. Johannah and Megan were wonderful to work with by phone and computer as they made the bride's dream cake taking her vision from photos and emails. Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful, it was delicious! We ordered a 2 tier cake for 50 people in addition to a dessert bar. There was not a single piece of cake left! The chocolate with Salted Caramel filling was amazing! I did not get to try the coconut layer but the guests were raving about it. Thank you Dream Cakes!!

Judy was AMAZING!!! Dream Cakes was incredible from our tasting appointment prior to our wedding to our first year anniversary celebratory cake! For our tasting appointment prior to our wedding she was incredibly accommodating! My husband owns a small business and I was working nights at the time; she worked with our very odd schedules so well. On top of that our appointment was just plain fun and the samples tasted so good that it was hard to choose what we wanted! Though I don't think that we could have gone wrong as everything we tried was delicious, what we chose was even better than I could have imagined. Everyone hears horror stories about wedding cakes in general but with Dream Cakes it couldn't have been more perfect! From the look of the cake to the delivery, which was flawless! Our lemon poppy seed butter cream with fresh lemon curd and fresh raspberries and blueberries was refreshing and like a tasted like a dream. The dark chocolate ganache with toffee crunch filling was beyond incredible; truly a Dreamcake! In addition to making our wedding day incredibly special Judy helped just recently by making our first anniversary incredibly special, helping make a smaller version of one of our wedding cakes. She helped my husband surprise me with something incredibly sweet (literally as corny as that sounds :) Not only that, he told me she was incredibly accommodating and kind yet again. It was really such a fun and special addition to our first year wedding anniversary! I look forward to hopefully ordering another next year. As you can probably tell I highly recommend Dream Cakes and working with Judy! I've had Judy's cakes for years at various weddings I've attended and I can say with upmost honesty that it is consistently the best cake you will ever eat. I'm a professional baker myself, and when my friends asked if I was going to bake my own cake for my wedding this September, I told them I was going with Dream Cakes because there's no way mine would come close to the quality and craftsmanship of Judy's work. I had four different flavors: chocolate with ganache and fresh raspberries, white with lemon curd and blueberries, carrot with home made toffee, and coconut with fresh coconut filling. Everybody I spoke to raved about the cakes. My husband can't get enough of the carrot cake, and the buttercream is elegant, smooth and light. I can go on and on about how incredible Dream Cakes is. Best tasting cake I've ever had. We got a dream cake for our wedding and it honestly was the best cake ever. Everything on your special day should be special, especially the dessert, and Judy's cakes are the best way to go about getting a cake that no one will forget. Judy was also great to work with. She gave us 4 sample cakes all together helping us pick the flavors and frosting design that we liked best. I would get another one of her cakes in a heartbeat. You won't be disappointed.

Best cake in Portland, maybe the world. Judy's cakes are pure perfection. We ordered a three tier butter cream cake with chocolate, chocolate ganache and raspberries, white cake with lemon curd and blueberries, and white cake with orange and blackberries. Our guests were going back for seconds and thirds it was so good! We couldn't wait to order an anniversary cake, which Judy makes fresh so you don't have to freeze and save the top. The studio is adorable and Judy was super helpful in suggesting tasty combinations which she makes with all fresh ingredients (yummy!). She was awesome to work with, no-nonsense, really sweet! She sent us home with a few mini-cakes to try and my girlfriends, mom and I were DYING eating it at home, it was so delicious! There was just no comparison. I found Judy only after doing a ton of research online and a few tastings with the big names around town. I have no idea why Dream Cakes didn't pop up as number one, her cakes were leaps and bounds above every one we tried, but hopefully word will get around! It's almost worth having another wedding just so we can order another cake from Judy, they're serious that good!

There are a lot of things that people wish they could do over when it comes to their wedding, this is NOT one of the things I'd ever change. Our cake was so gorgeous and tasted so good. Johannah was excellent in all communication. She prepared an initial tasting of 3 cakes and I later tried another 2. We met a total of 2 times. First was to discuss her designs and flavor options. Second was to go over what I was looking to do in my design. She was SPOT on. The design and color were perfection! To anyone unsure...do yourselves a favor and book Dream Cakes!

Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. Not only was it beautiful, but also super delicious. My husband cannot wait until we get our anniversary cake. He's already counting the days.

We planned our wedding from Chicago and then San Francisco. It's kind of crazy to take a shot in the dark about wedding vendors since we were long distance, but we couldn't have been happier with our wedding cake from Johannah. She was very responsivve to emails. We went with dark chocolate with salted caramel and white cake with home-made lemon curd and fresh berry filling (two of the more popular options). I sent a few pictures of cake designs I liked, and when I showed up to the reception, and there was a beautiful wedding cake. And best of all, it was amazing. Our guests loved the cake and so did the bride and groom!

The words our caterers used were ' that's the most cake I've ever seen eaten at a wedding before.' It was so delicious, and I don't even really like cake. We got hazelnut cake with salted caramel filling and lemon curd with raspberry filling and it's hard for me to pick a favorite. This is not a hum drum cake. It is flavor first without forgetting the design aspect. She will even rent you a stand so you dont have to spend extra money buying something you use just on the wedding day.

Judy made my cake for my wedding last summer and she was fantastic. She made a great cake, was very professional with samples and was very clear about her process regarding what was expected from us as far as decisions and what she would deliver. During all the crazyness of wedding planning it was great to interact with such an even keel. I met with her once in person, communicated via e-mail and the cake was delivered with no problem. It was such a smooth process. I have and will continue to recommend her. Also, there was NO cake leftover and all of our guests loved it!
