"Sitting at the foot of Runyon Canyon, the LA outpost of the Dream Hotel can’t be beat for convenience. Aside from the on-site restaurants and bars, which are great, the most notable takeaway is the hotel gym: not the usual handful of treadmills and sad weight station, but rather a custom Gunnar Peterson–designed workout space with every bell and whistle you could want. In true LA fashion, there’s also a rooftop pool with views of the hills. The entire place is bright and green, with natural wood furnishings throughout. The guest rooms are on the modern side, with huge beds (by hotel standards, at least), roomy seating areas, and beautiful bathrooms with glass-encased rainfall showers and the plushest bathrobes. The LA Metro is a few steps away, but for anyone in a rush (or with kids) the complimentary car service is a godsend."

We had an amazing stay! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the hotel’s design is stunning. Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail in cleanliness really stood out. What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Special shoutout to Margarita—her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable. The food at the bar is also delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

The physical hotel and it's location are both fine. The rooms are well designed and are a comfortable, clean space. The location would be desirable for tourists. I'm disappointed by the service from this 4-star hotel. I was forced to pay a $42/night 'destination fee.' Some of the amenities under that helped justify it and my choice to book here. I received none of those amenities, so I don't understand what I paid for. No champaign, no water bottles, I ordered third-party food delivery and had to go down to the lobby and accept it myself. Apparently there's 'Geoffrey the robot' that should have delivered it to my room, but it took a lot for me to find out that wasn't happening. I had to call the front desk for wifi access, there was nothing in my room or in the reservation that had any information about the network or password. The hours of the pool/bars and amenities were different than what is on the website. Just a collection of incompetencies that left a somewhat disappointing experience.

Google
4/5 The hotel is a great location for those that want to view the Hollywood sign while enjoying breakfast on the rooftop. However, the breakfast is a bit simple and expensive for a hotel like such and can improve. Particularly the steak and eggs were not to my expectations, since for the price I am paying I was expecting higher quality(keep in mind the steak and eggs were the only breakfast item that had to be paid for as a globalist status, since it was not included in the voucher; all of the other items were free to order). The hotel room was quite nice and unique, there was a record player in the room with a selection of 5 different disks. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The gym was my favorite part of the entire hotel, it had most machines that one would need and even had a monkey bar. Overall, the stay at the hotel was enjoyable and would probably visit again if given the chance.

I am requesting a refund for my stay as the services provided were bad, especially the front desk staff. When I checked in I got so little detail on the hotel and the room that I felt the entire time that I had no idea how to use certain things like the service button, how to use the shower, the mini "fridge" in room, among several things I won't list here. I was insulted by the night manager Joseph when I came for the 4th time that day in-person asking for towels and bed sheets and he was rude to me and condescending. The same problem and no room cleaning was provided the following day when I specifically told the cleaning manager over the phone they should come in 15 minutes when we were going upstairs to the pool, we came back 5 hours later and the room was untouched and was never serviced that day even though I asked again later in person. Very disappointed and I will currently be leaving an honest, bad, review online as the hotel did not meet my expectations or the price. The coffee bar downstairs was never open or in use. ||The only good things I can say, Jake the pool staffer was attentive to the items in his purview and the people and was regularly friendly and helpful over my stay. The restaurant staff upstairs were nice as well. The rooftop pool is nice and has a nice view. The food is just ok and could be a upgraded but was reasonable and convenient.

Great experience! The hotel was very beautiful and clean! The staff were also amazing, very helpful and always kept a smile on their faces! The rooftop pool was also very nice and had good food and drinks with a lot of options! Would recommend this place a 10 out of 10!

Google
Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean. Roof top grill was nice. However, I wasn't impressed with my room, at all. Mattress was lumpy, toilet paper was 1- ply, the toilet room had a swinging door and there wasn't a microwave. The room wasn't worth what I paid for it. I had to pay an additional $97 fee even though it was supposed to be waived since I paid for my room up front on line. Then I was told at check-in that a $300 hold was being put on my credit card for incidentals. I didn't understand this since I was automatically charged that $97 additional fee the minute I checked in. I would not stay there again. This hotel is not for me.

Google
The location is perfect, the hotel itself is beautiful; from the lobby, to the lifts, to the spacious and clean rooms. All amazing! The staff were wonderful and so helpful. The rooftop pool and bar is amazing, I just wish we’d spent some more time up there - but when you have the walk of fame right round the corner it’s hard to!

Google
Love the rooftop pool bar, my coworkers and I had a brunch during pride here. The food was perfect, bacon sausage eggs, green goddess dressing for salad, good coffee and variety of fresh creamers, and the bar was generous in their cocktails! My friends ordered a margarita and an espresso martini. The pool is sexy, full wide steps into the pool so it feels beachy. Perfect location near the pride parade route.

Yelp
My friends threw me a surprise bachelorette party here and it was PERFECT! Check in was easy, the security guard that weekend was sooo fun and charismatic. The room was nice, the design was simplistic, modern, earthy. This was my second time staying here. First time we had a gorgeous bathroom separated from the bedroom area along with a balcony. The second time, it was just a room with 4 corners. Both stays were clean and great service. We had dinner up on the rooftop and the food was fantastic. We had way too much fun. We went out to Poppy and didn't care for it. We went back to the rooftop club and it made our night so much better. Thank you Dream Hotel for always being such a fun atmosphere. Whether it's the one in NY or LA, it's always a great time.

Yelp
This is a cute funky hotel in the heart of Hollywood. We booked a gold room the last minute and checked in after midnight to avoid drink and drive. We'd just had a late dinner at Tao the next door. We got late checkout at 1pm which was nice. Our room was spacious and functional to my surprise. We liked the comfy bed and pillows, shower pressure was so good. The staffs were friendly as well. This hotel has a few restaurants / lounges next door, so it's very convenient to have a fun night out and just go back to hotel room to crash. I'v always liked Hyatt hotels, this is a good place to stay if we ever come to Hollywood again.

Yelp
Lacking quality service overall. Booked a room with 2 beds, when we got to the room there was a King bed and a rollaway bed. When we contacted the manager she called me "Love" three times and offered us a free breakfast. They tried to sell this as an upgrade as it was a "suite" which in reality was a handicapped room... The staff were laxidasical about following through with any level of service they offered. From the front desk staff to the concierge, to the server in the restaurant. All were polite but not able to communicate vital information like room changes or their payment system being out. Overall, NOT WORTH THE MONEY! The only positive thing was it was a great location to walk to most of the sites and it was safe.

Yelp
We were in L. A for the Addy's awards, and the event started at 6 pm. We got into the hotel at 10 am, and we didn't get into our room until 4:45 pm because the young receptionist forgot to inform us that the room was ready, even when I checked with him every hour. We were exhausted waiting. The check-out says 11 am. I expected that when I went for lunch and came around 2 pm, the room would be ready to check in an hour earlier or at least at 3 pm. The hotel staff seems young and inexperienced for a high-end hotel. Also, they were very disinterested to the point of being rude and avoided eye contact with guests so they wouldn't have to do anything, especially all the women. The hotel is clean and beautifully decorated, and the rooftop cafe is lovely, even if a bit pricey. The location is a convenient area of Hollywood, though in the middle of "tent town" with homeless people. The contrast is evident; people sleep on the streets. Walkable to Sunset Boulevard. There are many options for dining and entertainment. Overall, the rooms and lobby are clean + modern but are missing functionality. The negatives: - No luggage racks in the room. - Limited outlets to charge devices. - The shower location is odd, with a clear glass window and sheer curtain. There is no privacy when showering. - Valet parking is overpriced One thing, though, the robot buttler that delivers food is fantastic.

Yelp
The new bar in the lobby called Turntable is very cool. It's has a vintage chic vibe to it with all the record labels around and the vintage videos playing on the side wall. They serve some great drinks as well. Loved the vibe!

Yelp
Spent a fantastic weekend here and already looking forward to booking another stay! Dream is fabulous: open, bright, hip lobby, wine or champagne upon check-in. Joseph acknowledged our Hyatt status, gave us our key early and upgraded us to a spacious, lovely corner room with a huge shower, the most comfortable king bed and a 2pm checkout! The location is perfect for us as we walked leisurely to the Pantages Theater to see Mrs. Doubtfire and on the way discovered a Thai street food hall on Cahuenga & Hollywood! There are several bars, tattoo places, cafes, food trucks, a super fun piano bar as well as the Sunday farmers market a block away. Just fantastic! The Highlight Room on the top floor turns into a club after dark and the place is swarming with tourists and partygoers but we felt safe and wasn't bothered by the noise and crowd at all. Thank you Jenelle for answering my questions days before check-in and shout out to Joseph for his delightful customer service. We will be back soon I hope! (Stayed at the nearby Thompson last year and Dream is 100x better!)

Yelp
So just checked in for our first stay at the Dream Hollywood! This new hotel is a block off Hollywood Blvd and is perfect for a theater or dinner night out. The service here is impeccable! On check in we were helped by Emanuel. He is warm, welcoming and super helpful. He went out of his way to see that all our needs were met. Emanuel found us a fabulous suite with a classic Hollywood view. It is outstanding managers like Emanuel that convince me every time of the value of Hyatt Globalist status. The Dream is sleek and ultra-modern with all kinds of gadgets to enjoy from a room service robot, a tablet that controls everything and even a record player to play some vinyl. There are plugs and usb ports all over the place. The room is spotless and so clean it looks like they just took off the "shrink wrap". The bathroom is a riot of marble and features an oversized shower room. The bed is super comfy. The lobby features a coffee bar in the morning and wine and cheese in the evening. There is a video gallery space too. On the rooftop there is a restaurant where breakfast is served for Globalists. The Dream is a fantastic choice for business or pleasure travel. If you are looking for that Dream Hollywood vibe for your vacation look no further! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Husband and I stayed here for a staycation to celebrate our anniversary. I booked two nights of standard room with points and used suite upgrade award to get a 1 king suite platinum. Valet parking is $60 per night and no self parking. The valet staff def took a while to get the cars each time. The suite we got was at end of the hallway and pretty quiet and didnt hear any neighbors. Like many reviews mentioned, the location itself makes the nighttime not quiet, but it didn't bother us. Breakfasts on the rooftop were nice. As Globalist, you get one entree for each adult staying. We loved what we got. Location is pretty central and not far from all the touristy places. Complementary cheese and wine every day starting at 5pm. Be sure to be there at 5pm to ensure you get some. They were yummy. Service was ok. Furniture was a little dated but bed was comfortable. Overall its a decent stay but nothing very exciting for us to return.

Yelp
Rooms are nice and clean. The lobby isn't anything special. The crowd is ghetto. But if you need to stay in town and looking for a clean budget friendly hotel it's a good choice. The views are really nice and rooms are spacious.

Yelp
Enjoyed a few delicious cocktails at the Dream rooftop. Had a beautiful view of the hills and the Hollywood sign. Service was friendly and accommodating. Would come back!

Yelp
Reserved one of their suites for my daughters 21st birthday. The location was fantastic. She and her friends had a great time enjoying the amenities. The front desk was also very quick about corrected an error on the final bill. Overall they have great customer service, luxurious quarters and best location to all things Hollywood!

Yelp
This review and shout out is for Antonio! Late last night/early morning, my boyfriend lost his phone and we spent almost the entire day looking *literally everywhere* for it. I kept calling my BF's phone even though I knew it was on silent, and I was just praying for someone to pick up! After about a half dozen calls, somebody answered and said, "Please don't hang up! I found this phone - ..." and my BF and I both got so excited. "OMG thank you! Wow! You found our phone!" Antonio patiently spent the next few minutes coordinating with us so we could go pick up our phone. Antonio really went above and beyond, and my boyfriend and I really appreciate his honesty, excellent and thoughtful communication, integrity, and kindness. He was worried someone would steal the phone if he just left it there, and we are so grateful that he kept my BF's phone safe until we could retrieve it. May Antonio receive good karma & many blessings. What a nice man! Attn Dream Hotel: I'm sure most of your employees are fantastic, but you have an extra special employee whose excellence & integrity deserves some recognition! Sadly, I cannot say the same for the "after hours" employees at the Grove, as I lost my phone there near closing time a few months back, and later saw on "Find My iPhone" that someone took it home with them to a nearby apartment building and just kept it. I have good reason to believe that an employee from the Grove kept my phone. Anyhow, I digress! Thank you again, Antonio! God bless you!

Yelp
The hotel was very clean and pristine. The gym required a key card and was also clean. They provided water and towels and all types of little things. It was connected to TAO (good dinner)

Yelp
Honestly one of the best Hyatt independent hotels that we've stayed at. I don't agree with all the negative reviews as I found our stay pretty reasonable. Being an NFT collector myself, the NFT gallery was definitely an interesting and amazing sight. I was really impressed. Staff members are super nice. Rooms are amazing especially the rainfall shower - one of my favorite designs ever. I do agree that the walls aren't the best in terms of sound proof. If you have a higher room like we did, the rooftop bar could be really disruptive if you're trying to get a good night's rest. Other than that, I thought Dream was one of my favorite stays in 2023!

Yelp
I stayed here for three nights. This is a beautiful hotel, and the staff is very helpful every time I had to interact with them. Also, I may be the only person who cares about this, but I love that they have mini steamers in the room! It was clean and in a central location if you need to get around Hollywood. I do want to note that this hotel is very close to bars. Some people may love that. For me, it was difficult to try and sleep but at 11pm on a Monday, it was pretty loud, even with ear plugs in. I could also hear people blaring music from cars late at night. But overall, I was happy with my stay here.

Yelp
We stayed here because we went to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. It's a really convenient location; it's around the corner from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and it was a 25 minute walk to the Hollywood Bowl. The only downside is if you are sensitive to noise; we were here over Halloween and the partying went on until about 3 a.m. But that was probably a one-off. The hotel really tries to give a high end experience; front desk staff was really nice when we checked in and they give you a glass of champagne or wine upon check-in. Amenities like soap and shampoo are high end. The rooms have a fully stocked mini bar but no mini-frig or coffee pot; coffee is complementary in the morning in the cafe downstairs. The room was very clean.

Yelp
Shut the place down immediately! The staff put my card down for a payment TWICE and refused to give it back to me. I also had bed bugs and the staff said it was not their problem! Very weird and unsettling experience. Stay away.

Yelp
We were hugely disappointed in the service at the desk and at the restaurant. My husband is a Hyatt Globalist and we asked for an early check in because we had an event in the evening. Two days before the stay reservations assured us we would get our two room AT LEAST between 2:00-3:00 pm, if not earlier. When we went to check in they had no idea we wanted early check in and we barely got one room by 4:00 (and that took persistent checking at the desk). No acknowledgement of Globalist status. We had to take a lesser room for the second room just to get it by 4:00. One desk clerk thought she would school my husband that they didn't have any obligation to provide a room before 4:00. After 30+ years of travel, he already knew that. It was the fact that the hotel had agreed to an earlier time that was the issue. We are at the rooftop restaurant twice. Both times the servers were incredibly absent. We were largely ignored for a long time and finally our order was taken. Then the food took forever. Then the server never returned to see if we needed anything. When one of our party asked for cream for her coffee, she got a snarky retort from him. The food was good but the service really ruined the dining. It's definitely a young hotel. Perhaps they were put off by our grey hair. We won't be back. All in all the staff was largely really young and really unconcerned with providing any kind of service. Not people who should be working in hospitality.

Yelp
I chose this hotel because I wanted somewhere to stay for a date night/staycation with my wife for the Maxwell concert we attended. Before staying at the hotel, I sent an email to the reservations team help me make the stay special for my wife. My stay was on Saturday, and I decided to stop by on Tuesday to get a tour of the hotel and familiarize myself with the rooms and to ensure that the staff knew what I wanted do to make the stay a special occasion. I was greeted by Ethan and the tour was provided by Bailyn. They both set the tone and gave me confidence that I had picked the right hotel to stay at after my concert that was happening later in the week. Bailyn was attentive and her attention to detail and interest in ensuring that I made my wife's stay memorable was appreciated. She showed me the different room options, the gym, and the additional amenities that would be available to me upon our stay. Long story short - she sent an email and asked me to confirm what I wanted to have for the stay to make it special. I appreciate that because it was right after I left the tour on Tuesday. Upon check-in we were greeted by Shelly and Bailyn. They both continued the service that I initially experienced when I visited earlier in the week. They were both charismatic and welcomed me as a Globalist. We stayed in a King Studio Platinum room, and we both enjoyed the comfort, layout, and size of the room.  My wife didn't know that I had arranged for them to have white chocolate covered strawberries, a note, and wine waiting for us in the room. It was a great surprise for her, and I thank Bailyn and team for ensuring our stay was a dream and not a nightmare. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the going to The Highlight Room rooftop lounge and for lunch and breakfast. Prior to going to the concert (which the hotel provided transportation to) we picked up food from Tao, and after the concert we went back to the Highlight Room to enjoy to rooftop Hollywood night. We would definitely return to this hotel and I am already considering another staycation when we go to another show. Once again thanks to Bailyn, Shelly, Ethan, Brandon, and Benjamin for helping make our stay special from check-in to check-out.

Yelp
We did not stay at the hotel, but we met some friends at the rooftop pool bar. Perfect view and excellent bartending. Killer whisky sours! Service from the host at the bar entrance could have been better, we wanted to seat in the sun at the outside tables, and we were told to go to the bar to order and pickup our drinks. You lost two stars with that move.

Yelp
Excellent food! the grilled cheese is incredible and so are ruffle fries. Nice accommodations & great location with a beautiful rooftop. Very modern & neat lobby

Yelp
Don't use the first floor bathroom. It only has one stall and dumb girls leave it unlocked. The good bathroom is on the second floor by the gym. Just be nice to the front desk and they may let you use it especially if in my case where it was an emergency.

Yelp
We booked the hotel events room for the pride parade- as a place to set up and get ready! We booked the events room with breakfast and they set everything up early morning. They had fruits, pastries, coffee, juice, bottled water and someone behind the bar to restock items when needed. The place was extremely clean and fit a lot of us! The lobby is beautiful, very green and has a coffee shop. The interior is very modern and has an open space concept.

Yelp
Came to Dream twice a few years ago, and had issues both times. 1st time- valet damaged the car, 2nd time the room was ready WAY past the hotel's check in time. Since we had an event nearby, we decided to give the hotel another try, and had the worst experience yet. The A/C didn't work the entire time, despite engineering coming to "drain the condenser" while we went out for the night. By the time we got back at 2am, the room had cooled off a bit and we got in bed TIRED and ready to sleep. WELL the light under the bathroom sink is motion activated...it turned off, then on, then off, and on ALL NIGHT LONG. No, we did not want to call them to fix it at 2am and wait for someone to come to the room. We just tried our best to ignore and sleep. Unfortunately, we had already booked the room for an additional night when we checked in. We went to the pool to get some sun, and when we got back to our room it was SO HOT. 77 degrees at 4:30, as shown in the pic. We decided to check out, then valet took 35 minutes to get us our car. I cannot stress this enough. DO NOT STAY HERE. The chances of you having a bad stay are high.

Julia C.

Yelp
If I could rate a zero I would. Sketchy staff, pick and choose people to scam. They will come to your room and bombard you saying your payment isn't valid and try to redo the transaction in order to get your card information and spend your money. Credit card scammers. Do not stay here.

Yelp
This hotel is located in Hollywood. Great location. Next to Tao. And has a great night club on the roof. It's very modern. Let's start with the lobby. Absolutely beautiful decor. Amazing modern photography. Chairs. Bar. And complimentary coffee on the morning. With option to purchase juices and some pastries Front desk hosts are amazing. Baylin and Cesare were so nice. And helpful. With suggestion and responded quickly to any needs for the room. Definitely make the experience a plus one. Thank you guys. Unbelievably great. Now rooms : i had a balcony room. Which o loved. It's on smaller side yet great. Pillows dough and comfy. Comforter soft and warm. Enough lamps to light up the room however you like it to be. Bathroom nice stand up shower. Toilet separated Right next to it. Room stacked with bar and drinks. I really enjoyed staying there and will repeat. Thank you hotel staff for everything. Ps: check in and check out was seamless.

Yelp
Dream Hollywood is designed by the award winning architect Rockwell Group. Very modern, clean and hip hotel in the heart of Hollywood. There's many Tao Group restaurants at the property, Tao Asian Bistro, The Highlight Room, and Beauty & Essex around corner. The manager was really accommodating and staffs were friendly. The robot delivered my Veuve Clicquot, so awesome. I will definitely stay here when I am back to LA!

Yelp
Great hotel, clean rooms love the rooms are not just plain but they have kind of a style. Love to have a record player in the room. The social hour was amazing they had some of the best wines and cheeses. I just wish the other restaurants nearby were paired with Hyatt. Only the rooftop bar is. It's kinda pricey. Definitely only stay here a night or two or have a way to have free parking. But I would stay here again. It definitely had a different vibe and not just an ordinary hotel.

Yelp
When we checked in Bailyn greeted us with a smile, being globalists we were upgraded to a corner room with 2 views from the 8th floor. nice !! we did NOT receive a call or text that the room was ready... Bay was coming up to the pool to get us .... wow !! after a few minutes she then came to the door with some cut fruit(nice touch) then the robot came to door with some water, thats a 1st !! although they have 60.00 valet and resort bs fees they go the extra mile to ease the pain. shout out to Daniel and the restaurant mgr. and as others have stated... check your bill !!

Yelp
Bomb threats, bad service and a lack of the basics made our stay at "Dreams" more of a nightmare. From start to finish this was a terrible stay; the staff from reception (who were disinterested to the point of rude and avoided eye contact with guests so they wouldn't have to do anything), to the door men (who I never saw open a door in the 5 nights we stayed), to the cleaning staff (who didn't change sheets when requested, left dirty pillow cases on the sofa when they finally did change sheets and failed to restock toilet paper/towels multiple times over), to the staff at the highlight room (who ignored us for 20 minutes when trying to order breakfast, despite being the only ones there). The room was decent enough, but with such bad service, a thumping night club on the roof which affects your sleep, and so much better choice in the area I'd honestly advise you give this one a miss!
google avatar

Robert K.

Yelp
Room was nice, staff was friendly and location great if you want to be in the heart of Hollywood. The areas of opportunity. Restaurant doesn't open until 8:00am. Rooftop pool not open. Restaurant closes at 5:00 during the week. Neither are good for business travel. My breakfast was good quality, but slow and I had to ask a few times for salt pepper and salsa. Both time I order coffee I had to send it back because it was cold. If they had their restaurant and pool situation corrected I would recommend this hotel. The Thompson and Tommie across the street was a better experience for me.

Yelp
If anything this place is underpriced for how cool of an experience this hotel is. The check in desk was easy and service was nice and fast. The interior lobby was super modern and chic. The rooftop pool was incredible with plenty of open Cabanas that they didn't charge to use and gorgeous views of the Hollywood hills and Hollywood sign from the rooftop. The bar and restaurant on top were nice too- the highlight room. The car valet was my one negative as it somehow took them 15 minutes to pull up my car on checkout. Need a better system for that, as that's not typical or expected at a nice hotel. I believe it was $60 for the night too, which is too much. The drinks upstairs were fantastic and the bartenders were cool as was the hostess. Room was nice and a big modern shower. Loved the place, just fix the car valet please.

Yelp
This place is extremely noisy. If you stay on the side with the restaurants and clubs it doesn't get quiet till after two in the morning. When you complain about the noise they act as if it's the first time anyone's called and had a problem. The hotel is poorly designed and there's no way you'll get rest or sleep and while the staff is very nice for playing dumb, Mac doesn't work, Coffee service doesn't start till 7 AM so if you're coming from the East Coast you're gonna be up awfully early the next morning and they don't even provide room service. Rooms are very small and not even a desk to work on. Definitely would suggest a place that's concerned about their guess and providing a quiet atmosphere to be able to sleep.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Dream Hotel in Hollywood, but unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Upon check-in at 5:30pm, i was told my room wasn't ready when checked in is normally at 4pm. Then I was given keys to a room that was already occupied. In the middle of the night, at around 12:30 am, I was awakened by extremely loud music and bass. When I called the front desk to complain, they informed me that the noise was coming from a nearby club. The noise persisted until around 2 am, keeping me awake for hours. Additionally, the valet line was excessively long when checking in. Overall, the noise disturbance and lengthy valet wait significantly impacted my stay at the Dream Hotel.

Yelp
Hello Yelpers!!! I'm back again . I was recently at the Dream Hotel in LA and boy, oh boy did I feel like I was in Hollywood (I mean I was but I felt like a celebrity is what I mean) I actually already booked the hotel before I saw other reviews on the hotel and I was like oh no! But I am happy to say my experience was quite different. I spent 2 nights there and the front desk person was kind to accommodate us and moved our check out to 3pm. So let me tell you what I enjoyed about the hotel. 1.Their valet service was fantastic and the gentlemen were nice and professional. 2. The Hotel...the hotel was lovely. The decor was beautiful. I really did feel like a celebrity in a posh hotel. The hotel was nicely decorated. Don't worry I have pictures this time lol. 3. The Room - I think the room is a little bigger than the standard size room. It was very clean and again it I was very happy with it. I slept like a baby. 4. Covid-19 - The staff was wearing their masks and had extra masks for guests to wear as well. 5. The Highlight Restaurant - this is a restaurant on the top floor of the hotel ( Please check out my review on the restaurant) Overall, I had an amazing time and the staff was great. I would visit the hotel again.

Yelp
The hotel was so nice loved it complimentary coffee in the morning! The noise level at night goes on until roof top shuts down so good luck what really stoped me from giving this place a five star they give you a green wristband and told us that that we would be able to go in to the club before anyone else when we get there and ask the bouncer yet no idea I was like what do you mean cycle asked my boss he then called his boss and his boss like wait I'll get you in with the next group how is that any advantage of staying with you guys to going into the amenity I thought that was a lie down having to wait in large crowds no sense of organization for people who actually had the wristband very disappointing but other than that the hotel itself was wonderful

Yelp
Friendly but incompetent staff. Had many issues including difficulty finding our luggage and incorrect charges. Room looked nice on the surface but had issues as well, including an uncomfortable bed and dirty furniture.

Yelp
I didn't take pictures but when we check in our room there was still a clump of hair in the shower. Straws all in between the desk and cabinet and a used Qtip under the desk. I stayed here before and never really had that problem. The bed was clean and comfortable and the service was great. I'll leave another review for service But please do something to clean the rooms better. I stay at cleaner hotels for cheaper

Yelp
Stayed here last weekend. Worst Hyatt I've ever stayed at. Purchased 2 queen silver room advanced member purchase. While we waited 2 hours for our room the gentleman that checked us in said it was the best 2 queen room in our category. Lmao! Far from it! Definitely not a "sensational view of Hollywood" more like a view of a dirty roof top and trash. Worst view ever!! Then to top it off we were late checking in so had to take what we got. When I booked the room, it also had a picture of a table and a chair. There was nothing like that. No way that room was 350 ft.². They said it took so long to check in because the minibar was not working and they were trying to get someone to come look at it. At that point, It was past 4 o'clock. I said I don't care about a minibar. Went to get ready for the event and the outlet did not work in the bathroom. They only had 2 available outlets in the whole room. Then when we got home from our event, the AC did not work at all. Honestly, what a shit hole!! They are rated a category 6 hotel, far from it, maybe a 3, if that. The noise level did not affect me because we were at an event until late, but if you're coming for any quiet, don't stay here they have a club on the roof that parties till 2:30 in the morning. You can hear through the entire hotel. We did go out there for a little bit, but I felt like I was waiting more for a good song to play, than dancing and I love all music. Honestly, this hotel was all around a joke. Not only false advertising when booking a room but all the other problems on top of it. On a positive note the restaurant on the rooftop during the day had delicious food and drinks. Only part about the stay I liked.

Yelp
I like this hotel I would say it's more for people on the younger side more of a party type vibe , service wasn't amazing but the pool deck was an awesome loud vibe and everything else was nice loved the decor and vibe to the whole building!

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Dream on Selma in Hollywood. I loved it. The location was great. Even though no one walks in L.A. it is walking distance to a lot of great places. I usually stay at the Roosevelt or the W but The Dream was highly recomended. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The decor is artsy and fun and has a great energy. I had an ice cold beer at the bar down stairs. Great service and fair price. I had great complimentary coffee down stairs each morning. I had two very good breakfasts up stairs at the poolside restaurant. The service was fantastic. I had another ice cold beer, poolside and the scenery was spectacular and the service was spot on and surprisingly friendly, for Hollywood. I worked out in the gym, which had more than I needed in the way of equipment. One day, four people were working out and I can't imagine anyone felt crowded. I loved that they have Peleton Bikes. It was spotless well stocked. My room was clean, my view of Hollywood sadly was filthy but that is Gavin Newsomes fault not the Dream Hotel's. I loved the stocked mini bar. I took advantage of the Cashews and yes, another ice, cold beer. I appreciated that they didnt mark the prices up wildly. They were fair prices for the convenience. I had plenty of towles, the shower was spacious and great water pressure. They had all the little extras in the bathroom and closet that you would want. I didn't have to ask for anything. If you do need something they send it up via a little robot. I saw it in the elevator a couple times. I dont care for the robot action but I get it. I just cant help envisioning a hotel stay in the future when the whole hotel is robotic and that freaks me out! In closing I would have to say, I expected the hotel to be a little to L.A. for my liking but I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again. In fact it's my Hollywood home for now!

Yelp
Loved this hotel in every way. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The hotel was pretty packed and I stayed on the 5th floor, without much chaos and noise to be heard from my room. Staff is warm and friendly.

Yelp
I needed a staycation, and I decided to stay at the Dream Hollywood. I was greeted so nicely by the staff. Everyone on the team went above and beyond. Vaughn, Ethan & Meral were so lovely and constantly made sure that I was okay. I had a really really nice room and was surprised by the greeting card with champagne that awaited me. My bed was comfortable & I had a really good night sleep. Anytime that I needed anything I would call downstairs and the robot would bring it to my door. I went upstairs to eat at the highlight room. The service at the restaurant was impeccable, and the food was delicious. I laid by the pool on most days and relaxed in the sun. All in all, I had a really fantastic staycation and I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It was just what I needed and I will definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
Great stay ! The rooms were beautiful service is excellent. The vallet was a little slow and they messed up our car tickets at the front desk. Some nights after calling 20 mins before leaving the room are car was never requested when we came down. But overall it was an enjoyable stay. The pool was great very clean and relaxing. The rooftop party is litt ! Best part was not having to worry about leaving after the party. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend stay!

Yelp
If you enjoy a place that doesn't support their own restaurants and their guests, then come hang out here. While the Highlight Room was amazing, after choosing to celebrate a birthday at this expensive brunch, we planned to head to the theater and come back for a drink. I asked to check a small backpack since I had to go straight from work to celebrate my husbands birthday With no empathy or any care for the guests, I was told they can't help me since I didn't stay at hotel. While I understand not checking anyone's bag not associated with hotel, after 2 hours and lots of money at their restaurant I certainly expected more. A hotel that can't prioritize all guests for all their venues and business isn't one for me. If they aren't guest centric, imagine what your experience here could be like.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel because it's 10mins from Universal Studios however it's super noisy with music and clubs and bars. It's hard to sleep at night. - The housekeeping forgot to leave towels in the bathroom! - valet is $65! It's unsafe to park your car as the lot is not in a safe location. I

Yelp
I don't know how this hotel could have a bad review! Free wine hour with cheese and crackers. It's located in a great area with lots of bars. Waking distance to Pantages theater. Rooms are kinda small but nice and comfy! Free wrist bands for the highlight room. Taos right next door! All around great place! Had good service at the front desk! But I guess if your not in Hollywood to party this might not be the place for you!

Yelp
Very much enjoyed my stay! They have a beautiful rooftop & restaurant. Located in the heart of Hollywood. Little pricey but you right next to Tao, Beauty & Essex, Mama Shelter and more. I came for my birthday. Room was very spacious, room service left treats and a card for my birthday. It was very nice!
