Where to Find New Orleans’s Best Mocktails and Nonalcoholic Drinks | Eater New Orleans

"Dream House Lounge is New Orleans’s ultimate sober-friendly destination, and a stylish, chic one at that. David Wallace’s oxygen bar and wellness lounge specializes in a range of offerings, including what he calls “conscious cocktails,” drinks like the Whiskey Dreams, made with zero-proof whiskey, lemon mix, and garnished with a dried blood orange slice dipped in white chocolate. There’s also a retail side selling a slew of N/A wine, beer, and spirits, making it a one-stop shop for all your N/A needs." - Beth D’Addono

Black Entrepreneurs Are Leading New Orleans’s Sober Bar Movement - Eater New Orleans

"In a slightly different category is Dream House Lounge, which opened at 401 Baronne Street on July 3. Founder David Wallace says it’s an oxygen bar and wellness lounge — 'I don’t identify Dream House as a sober bar,' he says. 'I want it to be known as a safe haven, particularly for Black and brown people who have not historically had places to come talk about their dreams and aspirations.'" - Clair Lorell

On an extend weekend trip to NO my sister found this place and wanted to check it out. The business markets itself as a mental and spiritual wellness lounge! - now that sounds like something I would enjoy, and appreciate. They offer the following: mental and spiritual development, oxygen therapy, conscious cocktails, coffee and tea, small bites, and a workspace. We were able to find this place with GPS providing waking instructions. When we arrived around 4:30pm on a Friday there was only one other patron. When we walked in no one greeted us. I had to walk over to the counter and greet the staff to get any type of engagement. This would be my only suggestion for Improvement. Staff should pro- actively greet every person that walks in the door. I have opted to leave a business simply because no one ever paid me any attention. However once I interacted with the staff she was vey customer centric and friendly. We opted to do 10 minutes of oxygen. The oxygen has different flavors. The one I tried was lavender based. The cost is $1 per minute and can be purchased for 10, 15, or 20 minutes. my sister also had a drink. The drink was on happy hour special and was only like $1.25. What I love about this space is the vibe. The interior design is cute and the music playing is relaxing. It is very easy to get into a zen mood. I honestly could have spent more time here simply relaxing. I also appreciate the fact that all of the drinks are alcohol free! I am not a big drinker so this is my type of spot! I would love to return and try the various drinks they sell. Overall this was a great experience and I wish there was a spot like this back home . If you have an opportunity to stop in I would highly recommend it!

So inviting, purifying just entering the space! 💫 David really knows how to curate a space, not only in aesthetics but energy. The sound healing journey lifted so much weight out of my heart, and the oxygen bar is quite literally a breath of fresh air. I bought their sage and mugwort bundles for my home, and the abundance tapped into at Dream House has now permeated into my personal space. Delicious alcohol-free drinks infused with herbal boosts, botanicals, adaptogens, and/or nootropics, are perfect for anyone working their sober path or just wanting some health + yum! DH also hosts poetry/writing workshops, art classes, yoga flow sessions, and many other vibration raising community opportunities. This cozy retreat right in downtown really has it all. Definitely atop the list of things to do in New Orleans! I can't wait to return and bring my friends!

I held my 40th birthday party @ Dream House. David was so accommodating. The vibe was just right. The staff was on point with all request that my guest made, David and his team made it happen. 10/10 reviews.

Such a cute vibe! Loved the friendliness of staff and felt right at home, a nice non-alc option / small bites if you just want to chill, would recommend ! Loved the oxtail egg rolls and blueberry mocktail I had!

Vacationed with my hubby in NOLA this past wknd! We both enjoy wellness activities so we tried the oxygen therapy! It was delightful to breathe in the aroma infused scent with the oxygen. Ms Coco was our hostess and she offered the MOSTEST… exceptional service by this young lady. The atmosphere was super laid back and chill.

Google
I found Dream House as a venue for a local NOLA artist I follow. I missed the performance but found out that @dhlounge is a safe space for seekers of spiritual wellness, regardless of religion. Very swanky decor and the friendliness of other customers attending the Spiritual Workshops (energy clearing, meditation, breakout discussions, group sharing) is top tier. Great customer service by Mayan. I haven’t had more than tea but I hear the mocktails are great. She absolutely puts the customer first. Great herbal oils and candles too! David and Mama are so generous with their knowledge and wisdom.

My date and I tried the Dream House lounge last night & really enjoyed it. It’s gotta a fun weird, artsy energy to it. The food selection was unique & tasty. And u can tell they put so much effort & thought into their NA mocktail /drink selection (this was exciting to see as an alcoholic). I def recommend this as a cute date spot if your date likes to try different options outside of just bars. I’ll def be going back anyhow as it was a much needed breath of fresh air to Nola’s options! I almost bought a couple of their dif bottled NA spirits for home!

Yelp
Walked in on a random Saturday midday. Serene and relaxing vibes were experienced as soon as I walked in. If you're holistic about life - THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. This is holistic establishment. Mocktails are infused with all types of herbs and all natural ingredients. They serve non-alcoholic liquor (example: BARE tequila) so the mocktails really do have the liquor taste without the negative side-effects. They also have egg rolls (try the brisket), made fresh to order. Favorite thing to try was the oxygen machine where you breath in purse & scented oxygen. They had a rosemary type send and another with lavender & lemongrass. You have these non evasive tubs that were surprisingly comfortable that go into your nose. I definitely felt refreshed afterwards. My girl and felt a real difference in our bodies after a night in NOLA & it improved our moods (mainly hers ) towards each other. Avi helped us out and gave great service. Rectified an issue we had with 5 star service Cherry on Top: military discount. *chef's kiss* thank you for recognizing our service members Love this place. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in NOLA. ‍‍

Yelp
I was shooketh when I read that everything on the menu contains NO ALCOHOL! I'm currently not having alcohol and this helped my usual Friday happy hour still take place. Not actually during happy hour, but it still counts! This place is so beautiful and decorated in a warm, welcoming bohemian style. There are fresh plants all over and there are card games on the tables. This is definitely the perfect spot to get that bar/lounge feel without consuming any alcohol. The worker was very friendly, patient and helpful.

Yelp
I decided to come here after a meditation class and I'm glad I did. Whoever the interior decorator is for this place did an amazing job. The inside is beautiful. It's dimly lit and I felt relaxed. There were different games for adults to play. There's a bunch of card games that are conversation starters. We were greeted promptly and were told to be seated and we'd be attended to soon. When our server came over she was very friendly. She explained the oxygen bar to us because I was really curious about that and she also gave us a drink menu. We ended up getting a non alcoholic margarita and fruity non alcoholic cocktail. I can't reminder the name of it. Both were good. Then we did the oxygen bar for 10 minutes a piece. It was a pretty cool experience. This is definitely a cool place to hang out in Nola.

Yelp
A VIBE !! Still can't believe this is all non alcoholic. My sister would love this spot. I'm going to tell her and be fancy. I had the Dreamarita and it was delicious!!Resembles this for sure!!! I also had the Lavendar Dreams which was really tasty!

Yelp
With doing dryish January. We went in and I ended up leaving with ingredients to make my own lavender dream at home! Such a kind staff and welcoming atmosphere and delicious craft mocktails! Absolutely will be back!

Yelp
This is such a cute and calming space. We came in for a couple of evening coffees as most places were closed, and it was so lovely we decided to sit down a little longer and chat with our lovey hostess/barista. I had the Lavender Oatmilk latte, while my friend had the Rose Almond Milk latte. If it wasn't our last day, we probably would have stopped by again to try their mocktails. A sobriety-focused and calming place was such a breath of fresh air from the chaos of the French Quarter.

Yelp
This is the place New Orleans needed! A chill atmosphere, beautiful decor, interactive games, delicious non-alcoholic drinks, and an oxygen bar. I started off my bachelorette party here, and it was the perfect atmosphere to catch up and chat with my girls. I am so obsessed with Dream House Lounge's N/A French 75, that I asked my wedding venue if they could try to make something similar for my wedding. My only suggestion would be to stay open later, since most people who don't drink want a place to chill while everyone else is at the bar. LOVE this place.

Yelp
Looking for a vibey atmosphere & crafted drinks without the alcohol, & great staff? This is that spot.

Yelp
I have been twice and absolutely love the space. The decor is amazing. The staff is super friendly. You can even buy retail products. The bathroom is clean (always a plus!) The owner is so kind and attentive I love this lounge. Great concept for everyone; pregnant women, people who are sober and just wanting to be more conscious about your alcohol consumption. Love love love this place and will be back!

Yelp
This place is very elegant and nice. My boyfriend and I came for a sunday night Burlesque show. We paid an extra $10 each for guaranteed seating which was not needed in our case they place was pretty empty when we got there and only another party came after us (maybe it was a slow night) Beautiful decor and ambience and let me tell you their veggie egg rolls at $4 for 5 mini egg rolls were soooo good with the sauce on the side. We ordered 3 plates of them! The show itself was very cool. Lots of acts and beautiful costumes. Talented group of performers. If you forget to bring cash they offer cash exchange so you can tip the dancers. Overall fun night.

Yelp
BUYER BEWARE!! We showed up tonight, 11/4/2023, for the Miss Audacious Dream House Burlesque Show. We prepaid for VIP tickets one month ago through Eventbrite. 2 days ago we received a reminder email about the show. When we arrived tonight, Alex, the young man working at Dream House informed us that they haven't hosted a burlesque show "in a long time". Why are they selling tickets to events that don't exist?

Yelp
What a wonderful place to be sober. Chill space. Kind staff. Oxygen therapy is not my thing, but a cool experience to try. The Lavender Dreams cocktail is probably the best mocktail I've ever had. Highly recommend this joint for all the sober folks out there!

Yelp
Definitely a good vibe, aesthetically everything and tasty drinks! It's my go to spot for night out, or to work during the day. Staff and service are amazing!
google avatar

Alexandra E.

Yelp
This place did not live up to its hype. The location is pretty and modern but charging around $12 for a mocktail that doesn't taste that great was pretty expensive. I've been to fancy restaurants where they charge $6 for an amazing mocktail. Also, the "oxygen" bar is a scam. You put it on and you get a whiff of whatever aroma you selected so you think something's happening but not really. It's not continuous and I did not feel relaxed or refreshed afterwards.
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
Very cool concept! I love that this place is about healing and health ! Their conscious cocktails are very good and the staff is so nice and sweet! The oxygen bar is cool and very refreshing! Also VERY NICE hand soap and lotion in their bathrooms! Check it out!

Yelp
I love this spot! They carry several specialty NA beverages as well as make their own mocktails. The staff is extremely friendly. The vibe is really nice as well. They allowed us to host our Bookclub meeting here and were very accommodating. I'm really thankful New Orleans has a place like this. Highly recommend.

Charlotte B.

Yelp
Went there for the Sunday Dream house burlesque, such an amazing show and ambiance. They had a $30 open bar option with great cocktails and David was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Dream House Lounge is the best!! I've hosted two events here and each time, my guests tell me how much they loved their drinks and the atmosphere of the space. It's so refreshing to find a bar that is alcohol-free, but has drinks that are elegant and refined. We love how Dream House is rooted in community, too! We will certainly be back and will continue to send friends and colleagues here.

Justine D.

Yelp
Beautiful space with great vibes! I thought it might feel pretentious but was pleased with how comfortable it was. The staff were friendly and the drinks were expertly made. The prices on the specialty mocktails are higher than I usually go for but I felt good savoring one drink and catching up with sober friends in a place that felt special. They also do have some lower cost options available. I didn't eat but the snacks smelled amazing!
