"Nestled in a department store, the simple space makes an impression with turquoise walls and striking light fixtures. Since the 1960s, this family business has been serving traditional banquet dishes best enjoyed with alcohol. The fourth-generation owner still follows the same ethos; his big-flavoured dishes come in large sharing portions. The deeply flavoured braised cabbage is stewed for 3 hours with dried shrimps, dried plaice and chicken bones." - Michelin Inspector

This is my favorite mall in Kaohsiung. Other than luxurious and high end brands/products, they have so much more local and inexpensive stores as well. It has 8 floors, first 4 are for men and women apparel and accessories goods. Fifth floor is for babies and kids. There’s also arcade game and funzone on the same floor. Top three floors have cinema hall and restaurants. Food court is at level B1. Within the mall they have different events and promotions going on. We got the promo for NT $300 back for every NT $3000 spent ($10 USD cashback on every $100 spent). There were local vendor shops in common areas of the mall. The commute is easy to the mall. There’s light rail and MTR train stations directly connected to it. It easily takes 2-3 hours to go through the whole mall floor by floor just to look around and window shop.

Is this the biggest mall in Taiwan? Very big shopping mall. Can't finish it in 1 day. Also with 10th floor RF, Dianasour theme park with fairly wheel.

Indoor mall with rooftop games and amusement park rides. Don't miss out on the ferris wheel, especially during sunset for great views of the ocean and 85 Tower. High end stores sprinkled with typical mall tenants (i.e., Nike, Adidas, etc.) with a very diverse food court. Well worth a visit, if not just to get away from the oppressive heat!

Google
Biggest mall in complete Taiwan . Floor B1 has a collection of various foods and bakery stuffs. Smells absolutely lovely. But be cautious about some of the bakery products ...Although staffs will inform u about the expiry dates. Sometimes u may get things from bakery which are going to expire within a month or so. For clothing u have lots of option. There are a varieties of other options available.

This is a nice and modern mall. You'll find the usual branded products and local brands as well. Good food court with lots of options.

I think it was okayish. I just like to go here because of the pop-up store events or the pop mart. The food are expensive for me... I haven't tried the ferris wheel though, but I saw that you can get a student discount if you bring 20 people? Not really sure if I get it right. There is a very big sky rocket themed cinema on the 8th floor. It was kinda dope.

Yelp
Hugh shopping mall by the harbor area. They have many different selections, fashion, electronics, cosmetics etc. Ferris wheel on the top. The staff are all nice and friendly. We don't have any bad encounters in the mall. Depends on which store you go in. The price range is different. Usually they have sale going on in the middle. It could be for clothes or food. Depends on the week and promotions.

Yelp
If you are visiting southern part of Taiwan, aka, Kaohsiung, don't forget to stop by this mall! Dream Mall is the largest mall in Taiwan. You can easily spend a couple hours here. The mall is actually split up in two sides. One side is more luxurious while the other is more money friendly. There are tons of restaurants and food court options and bakeries here. You can find all types of cuisines here. From American, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indian, Italian etc... If you are craving for dim sum and Korean, this is the place to go. Don't forget to stop by and grab a bubble tea while shopping. Oh, did I mention there is a movie theater , a mini arcade (toms world) and also a Ferris Wheel on the roof top? Perfect way to end a date night and see the view of Kaohsiung. Ladies, this is one of my favorite place to buy shoes!! There are multiple floors dedicated to shoes. I usually end up buy a few pairs when I visit. Reasonably priced too.

Yelp
I'm traveling in Taiwan with my friend who really wanted to go here. In the back of my mind, I thought "it's just a mall, what's so crazy about that?" Dream Mall is better than anything I could've expected. Starting off, the mall is freaking huge!! Might be the biggest mall I've ever been to. You could easily spend a whole day here without getting bored. I do want to point out that if you're a tourist, most of the items will seem expensive to you. For example, clothes at Nike or Under Armor are more expansive than the states so be careful. If you go to the basement, they have a great food court with a lot of food places. Then you can start walking up all the floors and walk around to see all the stores. At the very top, they have a Ferris wheel which gives you a fantastic view of the city. There's also a cool little dinosaur thing there. Dream Mall is a fantastic mall that you should go to if you have the chance.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite mall in Taiwan! Every time I come here to visit my family, my mom and I would always come to this mall. Its huge and if I had to compare it with bay area shopping mall here, It is basically two mall combine together. There would be a building that have the same feel as Westfield Valley Fair in San Jose and an indoor bridge that connects to the second building that is like the Great Mall feel. It has both the expensive luxury brand and the non luxury brand in the 2nd building. The place is so spacious and modern. It's a building Mall. The customer service is so good. Some sales people are extremely nice and some are pushy but not in an aggressive way. Taiwan shopping is a bit different when it comes to luxury brand because they want to make a sale. So if you waste their time asking question and don't buy anything, they don't say thank you or anything as in california would. They would give you a bad face. But that's just the luxury section.

Yelp
Although I will keep my review brief here, coming from my home bases of Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Singapore and also where the retail experience is unparalleled in many ways other than maybe NYC or London, my 2 star review should be taken with this under advisement. For southern Taiwan standards, this place might be great. Having also gone shopping though at the E-Da Outlet mall about 40 minutes from here and also all over Taipei, the Dream Mall still gets only a 2 star rating in my eyes. Nothing earth shattering to be seen or sold in this giant box, although I enjoyed getting out of the heat for awhile. There is an anchor of a "department store," which is nice and the lower level food court has ample "food court" dining options and other nicer "sit down" restaurants as well. There is a Jason's Market on the lower level as well if you are seeking more of a grocery store versus food outlet with restaurants. Snack carts are about as well. I stopped in to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant where all plates coming off the conveyor belt are ALL $30NT and was meh...you get what you pay for I suppose. So I did not experience bad customer service. I did not think items were overpriced. I did not think I could not find a pair of shoes or a shirt I I was looking for one. I did not find the mall unclean or uncomfortable. I just think maybe the name "Dream" Mall teed things up to a certain expectation that this mall did not meet. It is what it is I suppose and Dream Mall for me is a 2.

Yelp
This mall is huge!!! The mall has 11 floors and a Ferris Wheel on the roof! We spend hours in this mall and I don't think we had a chance to check all the floors! A good place to shop for a lot of imported brands and they go on sale on occassion. There is also an area where there are several stalls that sell souvenir snacks. We got a few snacks from the there and they are priced pretty decent too! A good place to go to to get away from the heat and the night markets in Taiwan!

Yelp
This place reminds me of the big malls back in the US; multi-story with a lot of brand-name shops (Coach, etc.) interspersed with local brands & small entrepreneurs (where you can get some of the best deals). Like most places in Taiwan, you can bargain, with cash being the key (credit less so); sales are based on a score of 10 (full price) downwards; a 6 means 40% off, and so on. Big food court on the first and basement floors, lots of random options, and outside you have a shuttle from the semi-near subway stop to the front entry. There's a split area so you can walk outside between some of the structure; movie theater and more within this giant mall. It was pretty empty on a weekday; I assume weekends this place must fill up more. Fun place to remind one of malls at home.

Yelp
Not only did this mall have a fusion of west and east futures, they have Japanese, American, European luxuries items. Food throughout the mall. Parking in the basement along with the food court and a Ferris wheel on the top floor. Movie theater on the 8th floor, You can find everything and anything here hence the name, but you need patience. I have noticed that alot of people (kids) come here to just waste time and browse around without buying anything. This bugs me because they block the way for people that are coming here to actually get stuff. Give yourself at least 2 hours here to explore.
