Restaurant Drei Könige

We stayed her for a night on Swiss rail tour.. hotel is small and quaint but a real quiet place just off of main river area.. great location and so easy to walk to from train station/attractions||Room we had was very nice, private balcony overlooking very quiet street.. room was very clean and in excellent, well kept condition.. ||Breakfast room was very nice and well attended by staff.. the buffet area was very good, lots of choices and plenty of options for all.. ||Lots of close by restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again.

First of all, hotels in Switzerland are VERY Expensive. I was looking for something decent, in a good location, in the $300 a night range, and this was slim pickings. The Drei Konige Hotel had decent reviews, so I booked it. The staff was exceedingly friendly. The location was good. The breakfast was included and basically normal breakfast fare. The room had slanted ceilings, and the downside was that it was very dark. Some people have complained about the air conditioning, but it worked fine during our stay. On the down side, there were very few restaurants opened nearby, but that could have been because it was in August when the restaurants are closed because of vacation. There were some restaurants in Old Town, which we found later in our journey. The price seemed steep for the room, which was older and dark, but for Switzerland and Lake Lucerne, I guess it was to be expected.

Positive: Loved the staff in the dining area. One proudly told us, they had served 110 guests that morning "and all of them will leave satisfied." Negative: ""

Older property 4 stops on the bus/trolley bus from the main train station.||Very friendly staff who helped me identify what to do in Lucerne and the lady at Breakfast who was lovely.||Room was small but comfortable. French and Swiss plug sockets. View from room nothing to write home about but you are staying at a hotel that is built in narrow streets so expect a view of other buildings.||Easy to get back into town either walking or via bus/trolleybus.||Good value for money considering the price of other accommodation in Lucerne.

A nice surprise for a mid-range in expensive Lucerne! Knowing how pricey rooms are and what our budget was, I really lowered my expectations - and Drei Konige really delivered a comfortable stay. Good beds, shower, breakfast and location - all you really need and a very solid choice. The area was perfect as it was in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to the old town and near the train station. The staff was very kind and extremely helpful as well. I would stay here again, if in the area.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Our absolute favorite during our 2 week stay in Switzerland. Exceptional staff throughout, genuinely friendly, warm and helpful with questions. Room was quiet, clean and well appointed. Nice breakfast room with very large selection of items. Extremely quiet location on a beautiful tree lined side street, one block from city bus stop. Three grocery stores at the end of the block. Minutes bus ride to Lucerne Station and boat ferries of Lucerne (SGD).

Location was good. The room were surprisingly huge. What I love the most was the window view that shows the road cross junction. Overall I had a great stay there. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was really awesome. I deducted a star for the cleanliness, as in the toilet bin there was a sanitary bag with a pantis in it. It was really not a good experience to see this in such a nice hotel.

Lovely hotel..just back from the lake..lovely helpful staff. Breakfast was standard.|Room was fine..clean and tidy..no bar fridge.|Lots of areas to explore with many choices for food and drink. Supermarkets nearby.|Not far from station.||

Traveling with a group. The restaurant offered a wide selection of breakfast items that were tasty and appropriately prepared. Setting was comfortable. Restaurant handled the group with ease.

We love having this restaurant attached to the hotel so we can just hop over during rainy evenings. We had delicious burgers and apple pie. There is a charming atmosphere and the staff is very helpful. Our waiter translated the entire menu to English for us!
