Dresden's Bed and Breakfast

This was the perfect stay for a family of four who wanted to be based in Hollywood. Dresden was a wonderful host and we loved chatting to her about the places nearby (she has some great tips and insights). The beds were super comfortable, and this B&B is on a lovely tree-lined street between Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard. It is only walking distance to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a short drive to Universal Studios and Griffith Observatory. We very highly recommend this B&B. Thank you Dresden.

Dresden is the best host. The rooms are cozy and the beds are so comfy. The location is perfect and I enjoyed walking the neighborhood, it was very safe. So much to do close by. And lots of fun recommendations from Dresden!

Dresden’s B&B feels like a real LA experience — more like living here than just visiting. The backyard is beautiful, the bed super comfy, and even with a shared bathroom I had zero issues. Dresden’s recommendations were spot on, and it’s super easy to get to Rayon Canyon for sunrise or sunset. A special stay I’d definitely recommend!

It’s a shared bathroom with no problems at all. Although Dresden is on Booking.com you are better booking with the B&B directly at Dresdens Bed & Breakfast in Los Angeles. Been coming for 15 years and it’s great.

The stay at Dresden's was very pleasant. Peaceful, quiet location. Near Runyon Canyon Park, Walk of Fame, the Grove. Dresden is a very nice lady. You feel like at home here. I definitely recommend it.

A cosy and safe place. Dresden is a kind, patient and informed hostess. It has a very cozy patio, ideal for meditation lovers. I would definitely stay here again.

I first found out about Dresden's B&B ten years ago; I was looking for a place in Hollywood near sites I wanted to see, but this random find has become a ten-year friendship. I used to stay with family for most of my trips, but Dresden's has become my go-to spot. She is a great host and genuinely cares about her guests. Dresden gives great advice regarding what to visit, tells amazing stories, and is incredibly knowledgeable. ||The house is well-taken care of and beds are very comfortable. Coffee and continental breakfast is offered for those who want a simple start to their day and there are a variety of restaurants within walking distance for lunch and dinner. (Check out John Kelly Chocolates down the street, if you have a sweet tooth.) If you have rented a car, or are thinking of renting one, there is a spot for you to park.||This is a great home base for those wanting to explore Hollywood, and after a day of exploring, there is a great outdoor space to sit back and relax.

This was our second time staying at Dresden's house, and once again, it was a fantastic experience. Dresden is incredibly helpful, always thinking about where we could go or what we could do, and she pays attention to every single detail. The house is consistently very clean, the shower is excellent, and the breakfast is delicious. The location is perfect for relaxing; it's in a beautiful, very quiet neighborhood. Yet, within just a few blocks' walk, you can reach the Walk of Fame. Without a doubt, we will be back again!

No air conditioning. Guests are asked to clean the shower doors after showering and remove hair from drain. Soap dispenser not working and frayed towels in bathroom. Used robes that are stained hanging in bathroom. Bathroom is shared, as there's only one bathroom in the home. Closets are full of owners clothes which have been pushed back to one side and covered with a sheet. Old musty scent lingers in bedroom. Pool in backyard is not heated. Breakfast is make it yourself and clean up after yourself, no cooking allowed and there is no dishwasher in the kitchen, All dishes are hand washed. $120 a night per person, cash only.

We stayed at the Dresden B&B back in early September last year. Firstly, let me say that it was refreshing to pay such a reasonable price for a convenient location so close to all the sights of Hollywood Boulevard. But I was a little disappointed with my stay, considering how much reviews around the web built this place up. First off, where is the second 'B' in this B&B? There was no breakfast offerings at all, so this confused me quite a bit. Secondly, the room we stayed in was nice but was a bit too homey to me. We have stayed in many B&Bs before, and we love coziness as much as the next couple, but the plethora of books and videos under the bed and in all the cabinets made me feel like I was staying in my Aunt's old library/storage room. All in all, Ms. Dresden was incredibly sweet and friendly and made us feel at home. I just was looking for a few more amenities just to make it feel more like a B&B and less like a family member's house. After all, we paid for our stay!

I discovered this little-advertised overflow accommodation [dresdengbb@att.net] across the street from Elaine's B&B because Elaine's was fully booked. Ms. Dresden GRAHAM's bungalow (Cell Phone 323-841-4859) has its original kitchen and bath, and make-your-own breakfast (except coffee). Added benefits: Other guests left eggs, and they were offered to me. Fixing breakfast was less of a problem than anticipated; I ate granola and yogurt with a banana each day. Most B&B's do not make kitchen facilities available for meals other than breakfast, but this one does. That is a huge cost-saver. I was presented the privilege of adding clothes to a load in the washer & dryer. Guests of mine were welcomed for swimming and a BBQ dinner. I grilled pre-marinated beef from the Trader Joe's on Sunset Boulevard. A $10 shrink-wrapped package served four, and grilled in 5 minutes. The secluded lap pool and Jacuzzi are open 24 hours a day. There are lights around the perimeter (and under water), but you won't need them. It's romantic. And there may even be moonlight. Sierra Bonita is a quiet well-located street; not far from the Highland ramps onto the 101 Freeway that seems to lead everywhere, and one block from the John Kelly gourmet chocolate store. There is even a city park close by, for hiking. Payment is cash only, $90 a night. If you like to swim, or entertain around a grill, Dresden B&B is a rare find.

This is really a great place to stay and MS Dresden is a delightful and friendly and she knows her way around LA .Gave us many ideas of places to go. Her dog is absolutely lovely too! I would stay there again if I'm visiting LA and the rooms are only $90 that was great too..

Our stay with Dresden was absolutely delightful. She is like our relative who is friendly, offers GREAT advice on where to go and what to see, and takes great care to ensure that our stay is wonderful. Her house is in the perfect location ( nice neighborhood, in between all the major attractions, and walkable to Hollywood Blvd). It is clean and cozy. The room size was adequate and all the necessary amenities are there. The price is, of course, unbeatable. We have only great things to say.. we would definitely stay here again in the future!

I had a chance to stay at Dresden's house for 5 days. It is excellent place for visiting Hollywood and Los Angeles. I totally agree with previous reviews and only want to add, that you need to find time for longer conversation with Dresden - you will discover much more LA. I also noticed, that it is easy to find her website - dresdenbb and facebook profile - on some other websites there might be wrong pictures of he house - it is because there is another BB on the same street and google mixed information.

Dresden is absolutely a wonderful Inn keeper. Like staying with a good friend. Respects your privacy while also being attentive to your needs. Nice neighborhood and walking distance to my kids home around the corner makes it very convenient. Spend all my time with my kids so no need for amenities. Bed is comfy and get a great nights sleep.
