What an amazing dinner. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and were made to feel so special. We were given a card when we sat down signed by all the restaurant staff. So nice!! Then after looking over the menu we realized there was a note on the menu too! Just for us! How special!!! The food was amazing. Scallops were perfection, best we had ever had. Seared Tuna was delicious and Key Lime pie for desert. The staff were all amazing, attentive and helpful. Thank you Drift! It wasn’t our first time there but it was a very special night and we will be back!

I wanted to enjoy this place but I’ll admit that I sorta ended up hating it after I received my entree. I’ve been wanting to try more oysters so I enjoyed those and had a great time eating those. I also enjoyed my lobster bisque even though I found it slightly too tart. My experience went downhill after my entree showed up. I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect but I created a mental image based on the description from the menu. After I tasted the fish I jokingly said to my boyfriend that it might as well have been beer battered and served with fries due to how bland it was. I actually compared it to cod even though I know it was not. The saturated sushi rice in soy was tolerable but ultimately not great. It created a strange mouth feel. Lastly, as whole the dish was oddly overwhelming. The ginger, soy, and (surprisingly) the bland fish make a horrible combination. Smell and taste wise it’s awful. I’m pretty upset with myself for selecting it. I ended up getting a pumpkin tart to go. It was ok but it made me think of a pumpkin pie that wasn’t quite made correctly. I really have no plans on returning.

Stumbled upon this gem while shopping in the area. Wonderful ambiance, nicely decorated casual but with an upscale flair. Food tastes amazing! The scallops & pork belly dish was very flavorful and the portion was just right. I’ve had salmon prepared dozens of different ways in different restaurants all over the world, this is definitely one of if not my favorite. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Drift Fish House & oyster bar was delicious.. The food was great it was fresh seafood and taste very clean. We sat at the bar and the service was amazing.. The atmosphere was great vibes. Great for girls night out, date night or celebrations.. We will be coming again.. Did I say the service was excellent and the food was amazing ...I'm still thinking about the Lobster roll. I will be seeing them very very soon.. ❤️

First time here. Started with the calamari. It was too salty initially, but the 2nd try was perfect. Big fan of the added onions! Black Grouper as entree was really good. Shared side of crab fried rice and veggies. It’s a bit of a drive from Smyrna but well worth it.

Update: the bartenders here are FANTASTIC. Their seasonal cocktails are awesome, but almost every time we sit at the bar, we are wowed with the friendliness and enguinuty of the bartenders. Cecilia and Katie (I'm spelling it wrong, I'm sure) took amazing care of us, and reminded us of how wonderful it is to visit. Love y'all. .... Celiac hubby and I have been to Drift maybe half a dozen times. We normally favor the bar area and share a meal there, but for our latest date night we reserved a table for two. There's always 3-5 oysters on the menu, and rarely the same kinds. We shared their filet mignon & lobster add-on and had a little leftover steak for breakfast. Their sides have all been killer; hubby likes the crab fried rice but I'm all about those french onion grits. Their craft cocktails are delicious and inventive, but take a while to create, so if you're getting table service you might wanna stick to their page-long wine list or your favorite spirit on the rocks. It gets very busy on the weekends, so be prepared. Their patio is lovely and heated but looks out over a parking lot, so we tend to stay inside. Staff always has masks on as of Feb 2022, and we look forward to learning their faces and names better over time.

First time here, Saturday lunch with aunts. The pricing is higher than I am comfortable with, so this is more likely a “special occasion” place if I return. Food was tasty. Fried and raw oysters were very good, and aunts enjoyed their lobster rolls ($24.) was going to give 4 stars since my catch of the day needed pepper to help tone down the strong fishy taste. However, our server was super and brought two samples for an aunt that was undecided on which wine to order - for that I’ll bump up to 5 stars.

Our waitress Deliha was beyond attentive. The bartender was able to make a special drink for me based on my preference. The food was very OK however It lacked seasoning of any kind. The Kung Pow Broccoli, i wish I didn't order it. I did not like the flavors. The atmosphere was pretty and well decorated. The fries were very GOOD.

I love everything about this place. We sat at the bar where Will , the bartender greeted us. May I add that Will makes a fantastic drink, I had a signature cocktail made for Fall , can't remember the name of it BUT it tasted like Autumn on cool evening in a glass ... so good! The oysters , tuna tartare, soup and salmon salad was fantastic. We had gotten to the restaurant fairly early and the bar slowly but steadily filled up nicely. The dinning room had a nice crowd too. It was a chill vibe a truly enjoyable and a perfect place to have a date night weekday dinner.

Decor is very nice. Comfortable and relaxing The meals was nice. All good. But not great I started with the clam chowder. The waitress recommended it, said it was the best thing they had. It was good but not great. Good flavor. The croutons were so small and crispy. Not my favorite Scallops for dinner. The scallops were good. It came over a mush mash of things. Each good but they really didn't mix with each other. They plated them all separate. Nothing special. The waitress said it was one of their best and eecommended Desert. They had a fig pastry. Light and flavorful. I would give this four stars I would try this place again and get different things. I liked the decor and was rooting for a great meal and got good

My favorite restaurant in Marietta by far. I've been going here since they opened, and it has remained a must whenever I'm in the area. My go-to is the lobster roll "Maine style", which is cold with lemon mayo versus a warm buttered roll. The bread itself is also phenomenal, and the roll is consistently great over the dozens of times I've ordered it. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes here - even the burger is crave-worthy. For dessert, the key lime pie is a must-try. I'm usually not a huge key lime pie person, but their version is almost like key lime pie and cheesecake had a baby. It comes with fresh whipped cream and a raspberry reduction that complements the lime perfectly. The ambiance of the restaurant is great too - I've accidentally closed out the restaurant several times in a comfy booth. Some people are here before a formal occasion others are grabbing a bite at the bar.

Drift is still a favorite of mine! Before our daughter was born it was our go-to for date night! Everything is astounding. I am always sad when a dish is taken off the menu, but something delicious is always there to take its place! We are still adjusting to life with a baby, so we opt for date nights at home now! We ordered takeout a few nights ago and could not have been happier. We had a feast and loved every single bite! We ordered online for curbside delivery and called when we arrived. Our food was brought right out which we appreciated. This time we tried the following: Clam Chowder Quart ($19) Baby Gem Lettuce Wedge ($14) Shrimp & Scallop Agnolotti ($39) Drift Burger ($18) with Fries Key Lime Pie ($11) Chocolate Hazelnut Nutella Pie ($10) The Agnolotti was AMAZING. One of the best things I have eaten in a really long time. The seafood was delectable! The sauces and the crispy prosciutto paired perfectly with the filled pasta. It was just over warm by the time we got it home and it was still so incredible. Highly, highly recommend this! The burger was really satisfying. It was a touch salty, but really good nonetheless. The fries were thick and perfectly seasoned. I love thicker cut fries because you get the crisp outside and a pillowy soft interior. These were no exception. Both pies were good. I will say the amount of chantilly cream with the key lime pie we were given did not match the mountain in the picture, but otherwise no complaints!

Enjoyed my first visit here on 3/16 to celebrate my Goddaughter's birthday! Ambience was beautiful! Table set nicely and the menu was custom made to celebrate Brit's special day! The food was delicious but the portion size was small. The cocktails were just ok as I apparently didn't order the right one. The service was excellent! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. Would definitely come again.

This place is really nice! We were greeted at the door with a smile and taken to a table immediately. Our server had a trainee with her and they were both amazing! The ambiance is great and the decor is fresh! The restaurant overall has a great vibe. The food was amazing. Everything came out hit and prepared just as we asked it to be prepared. I would absolutely go back! It also got pretty busy pretty quickly, so I would recommend making a reservation.

I've been here 3 times and each time has been great!! The service is awesome and the bartender Will takes great care of his guests - very attentive and professional. I would highly recommend coming in to have a drink/snack or dinner - the outdoor patio is nice as well especially on a low humid sunny day! Great place for a dinner date or GNO (girls night out)

I love this place. This time, we tried lots of different things, and here's what we recommend from this trip. DEFINITELY order the hush puppies (favorite of the night), steak, sangria, and molten lava cake! DO try the mahi with street corn (though the polenta cake was very dry), the Parker house rolls (but only four for that price?!), the calamari (slightly underwhelming), and the fish sandwich with fries. What happened to the sticky wings? And we definitely should have ordered the deviled eggs again...best ever! This place is a nice, not-TOO-pricey evening out!

Came here for a special occasion when visiting fam. It's a neighborhood dinner spot and good in seafood. The ambience is lively and service is fast and quick. Pricey on some dishes but you're paying up to have a nice night out. They have a few selections of brews in tap and broad selection of seafood. My dad had the lobster roll and my mom had the mahi both were pretty good. In East cobb there isn't a lot of selection and I'd say Drift is worth checking out!

My 4 star review is based on the food (more about this later), the family friendly and date night friendly environment, the quality service and the fact that I would return again. My husband and I ordered 3 starters and split the main entree, plus drinks. The meal overall was really good, but nothing to write home about. I highly recommend the crab fried rice and the calamari (ask for the house hot sauce on the side if you like spicy). We ordered the wild caught black grouper for dinner and my husband really liked it, but I found it a bit bland and underwhelming. We ended on the key lime pie which my husband absolutely loved, but I found very strong in lime flavor and didn't love (it was my first time trying let lime pie).

I had a reservation here for last night for dinner before concert. When we arrived they told me I had canceled my reservation. I did not. We sat at oyster bar and it was ok but I can see why they are closing!! I had out of town friends in town so they saw too. Don't wast your time.

Everything was top notch!! Dalia our server was exceptionally amazing and attentive. The food was delish and was prepared to order. Everything I wanted and excluded was taken in consideration. This was one of the best meals over my weekend. I will definitely take that ride back to East Cobb where all the snobs reside again. This left my palate fully satisfied. I recommend making reservations on OpenTable if you want a more personalized experience! Thumbs up Thumbs up!!

The menu is intriguing and their selection of beer is too. We shared the fish & chips and the crab fried rice. Both very good with emphasis on the fried rice. I mean, lots of lump crab, cooked in duck fat with a perfectly cook egg on top. Amazing! We couldn't finish all the rice so it's going to be leftovers for tomorrow. If you have a curious palate anf you're into something different, the Gate City Parti Starter Ale fits the bill. Service, good excellent! Good comes out the pass HOT - I hate cold food. There's enough variety on the menu to keep trying something different so we will be back again!

Went here twice, once for my 21st birthday and the second just for fun. Service was good both times. Lobster bisque had an insane amount of sherry in it the second time around. The chef must have accidentally spilled a whole bottle in it. The burger was shockingly good, the old bay fries were excellent. However, it feels like an overdone Bonefish. Not quite worth it for the price it is.

I was kind of surprised how good the food and service were at Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar, then I saw chef Doug Turbush's name listed as the owner on the restaurant's Facebook page and it all made sense. Turbush owns what I think are the best restaurants in East Cobb. Among them, this (Drift), Seed Kitchen & Bar (https://bit.ly/3efdsvy), and Stem Wine Bar (https://bit.ly/3jPqgKg). I think this is one of the best seafood restaurants not only in Marietta, but in all of metro Atlanta. Food, service, ambiance - Drift has it all. To me, Turbush is to East Cobb kind of like what Ford Fry is to Atlanta, on a smaller scale. Drift is nice. It seems like an ideal place for any occasion, whether it be a casual night out or a special date. The restaurant opened in February 2016 at The Avenue East Cobb. The restaurant has a spacious, semi-covered patio along with a gorgeous bar and beautiful dining room. Modern and refined is how I'd describe it. In the back, there's an oyster bar, with fresh oysters on display, and an open kitchen. Servicewise, this appears to be a tightly-run ship, from the manager down to the food runners. I received a call from Leah two days before our dinner to confirm our reservation. I booked our group's reservation using OpenTable. This is a popular place and I suggest booking via OpenTable. Before completing your reservation, be sure to choose the option to collect 100 points. You can use those points later to redeem a discount at an OpenTable restaurant in the future, an Amazon gift card, or other reward. Drift has a sizeable menu of both food and drink. The cuisine is New American seafood. During our visit, the kitchen offered many classic American seafood staples including broiled oysters (6 for $16), New England clam chowder and lobster bisque (cup/bowl, $5/$8), Connecticut-style lobster rolls ($32 each), and Maine sea scallops ($32). They also had steaks on the menu ($33-59 each) with the option to add seafood accoutrements like lobster claw and knuckle meat (+$22) and Maryland-style crab cake (+$16). Desserts included treats like key lime pie and chocolate hazelnut Nutella pie ($9 each). Drinks ran the gamut from high-quality handcrafted cocktails (most around $13 each) to reserve wine ($76-84 per bottle, 2016-18). The oyster menu consisted of three types of oysters: Blue Point (New York), Beausoleil and Savage Blonde (both from Canada). These ranged in price from about $3 for one to $27-32 for a dozen. Drift does not have "oyster happy hour" or any discounts. I liked that their oyster menu had helpful flavor descriptions. Here's what we had: Oysters * Blue Point (12 for $27) - crackers, fresh horseradish, mignonette, and cocktail sauce To Share * Deviled Eggs (4 for $9) - smoked salmon, creme fraiche, dill salmoriglio * Jalapeno Cheddar Hush Puppies ($7) - honey butter Handhelds * Crispy Fish Sandwich ($15) - crisp blue cod, shaved lettuce, tartar sauce, pickle. Served with side salad Chef's Specialties * Seared Yellowfin Tuna ($29) - tahini dressing, chickpea puree, Padron peppers, chermoula, pita * Crab Fried Rice ($25) - lump crab, duck fat, sunny side up egg, crispy garlic, and ginger Sides * Shells & Cheese ($8) - smoked Gouda, Parmesan, breadcrumbs * Kung Pao Broccoli ($8) - peanuts, jalapeno Drinks * Smoked Old Fashioneds ($13.95 each) - Santa Teresa 1796 Rum, Demerara, orange, bitters, hickory smoke All around, the food was outstanding. Not only was everything delicious, but dish presentation was excellent too. I recommend everything listed above, especially the Deviled Eggs and Hush Puppies; those were incredible. The Blue Point oysters were terrific; shucked and cleaned well. No trace of shell or dirt/mud/sand. The mignonette was served in a glass dropper bottle which looked cool, but wasn't functional (just give it to me in a sauce bowl). Each Deviled Egg tasted magical. Just a wonderful combination of flavors in every bite. The Hush Puppies were huge; crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. They tasted fantastic and exceptionally rich, especially with the sweet honey butter spread. The Seared Yellowfin Tuna was cooked to perfection. The seasonings were mouthwatering. The inside of the fish was raw and its taste and texture were appetizing. My buddy really liked his Crispy Fish Sandwich. My tablemates had already been to this restaurant multiple times and are fans. My other friend enjoyed his Crab Fried Rice. Portion sizes were generous, particularly with the sides. The Shells & Cheese was smooth, creamy, and delectable. I was impressed with the Kung Pao Broccoli which sounded gimmicky, but turned out to be super tasty because of the sugary sauce they cooked the broccoli with. If you like whisky, try the Smoked Old Fashioned. It has a fun, smoky presentation. Each serving is poured with smoke. Our server, Kamron, was great. He was attentive, friendly, upbeat, and cheerful. He elevated the atmosphere. Service from the staff in general was A+.

We dine here sometimes and last time we ordered oysters, shrimp and grits (a seasonal dish), and shrimp fettuccine. I'm not sure if this is true but the fettuccine tasted as if it was freshly made. I loved the fact that the noodle was thinner than typical fettuccine. The lemon, mushrooms, and basil oil with blistered basil leaves were a great addition to the dish. The oysters were delicious and we particularly enjoyed the smaller ones as they had more flavor and tasted creamier. The shrimp and grits were also delicious. The grits were a little watery but the shrimp in both dishes was cooked to perfection. Perfectly barely fully cooked and so tender.

Great customer service. Custom menus. Amazingly fresh seafood. I would definitely return. Got custom menus for my cousins birthday.

Found this gem by chance when we were looking for a place for dinner with the wife. I can safely say this one of the best seafood places I have been to in a while. The chef really knows what he is doing and pairs the ingredients to create dishes that are memorable. We started with the oysters that are served with some sort of horse radish vinaigrette in a dropper and other sauces. I think I could keep going just with the oysters. Dared to order the octopus for the main course and was rewarded with a well plated and delicious meal. The black pepper jam grilled octopus with fennel just melted in my mouth. For desert shared a coconut creme brûlée which was a light and delicious end of a wonderful meal. They have a good collection of wine and drinks. I recommend the smoked old fashioned.

So...good and bad. Smells like a raw fish market when you walk in. It was not appetizing. Cocktails were fine but arrived after the appetizer in a fairly empty restaurant so I don't know what the holdup was. It took some of the joy out of the evening to have to start eating before we could make a toast and enjoy a sip of our cocktails. Fried Calamari ($18) was EXCELLENT, perfectly done and nicely presented. Baby Gem Lettuce Green Goddess Salad ($14) was VERY GOOD with enough to split. Black Grouper ($42) was WAY OVERCOOKED to the point of being crunchy and dry. I didn't want to offend my host who brought me here specifically for this dish so I let it go but it should never have come out of the kitchen. The citrus soy sauce and rice that it came with were fine but wasted on the main course.

Love love love! Came for an anniversary dinner with my hubby and we both loved our drinks and our food. They have local beers on draft and their cocktails are very well-balanced. The oysters were so fresh and I love their hot sauce. The salmon dip with homemade lavash was delicious. Not too heavy. I got the grilled whole branzino; the root vegetables, chard, and risotto were just what I needed to start off "real fall" in Atlanta. My hubby's pecan crusted cod was very flavorful as well. Pricing is consistent with high quality seafood establishments. I will definitely come back soon.

Normally, seafood in Atlanta is a turnoff, but the sister restaurant Seed and our neighbors recommendations convinced us to try Drift. I'm so impressed! For one, you get the high quality service and care. It's well decorated with an upscale yet casual ambiance. The food was the big mystery factor but it was AMAZING. Even though it was a Friday night, they got our dishes out promptly. Since we took my parents there, it was a great look that they even changed our utensils between apps and main course. I'm not normally a trout or cod fan but they made it soooo well! I normally prefer something like mahi or snapper, but I would try anything from Drift based on that. Even the plating was quite artful and the oysters were extremely fresh, served on a riser with a tincture bottle of horseradish vinegar. Hush puppies- so fluffy on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside, flavored to perfection. I will absolutely go back and even use it to impress other guests from out of town. Thank you Drift for impressing my parents and the great food and service.

My partner booked us a reservation at this restaurant for my birthday dinner and I couldn't have been more pleased with the food and service at this restaurant. They have a full service bar so we requested peach martinis since we thoroughly enjoy the ones from Rays at the River. (Even though it's not in their menu). The drink was not only delicious but it was also strong! This was also the first restaurant we have ever been to, that asked us if we would like for them split our 2 entrees into our own dishes so we could share. Delicious food, great ambience, and exceptional service. It was worth every penny! Ah, my partner had asked for a cigarette and they kindly gave him a few after dinner. This place was truly a great experience!

We have always enjoyed our dining experience at Drift and their sister restaurant Seed. We ended up sitting at the bar and Will took great care of us even though he was a solo act! They were busy with the holiday and the US Open We ordered hush puppies as our appetizer and I have to agree with my friend they were way overdone we could hardly eat them. We should have sent them back but having kids in the restaurant business I hated to since they were so busy! My mussels were ok not great I've had much better...we will go back though because most restaurants have off nights when they're super busy!

Wife and I visited for a birthday dinner! This was our first time at Drift. We did not makes a reservation so the wait was over an hour, but they had room at the bar. So we chose to have the whole meal at the bar. Food and service was amazing this place will be our go to spot. The smoked old fashion was amazing, one of the best I've had!!!

Came here for happy hour at Drift from 4-6pm to try their half-priced oysters. We ordered a dozen James River and a dozen Hollywood oysters in addition to their Crispy Brussels Sprouts. First off, I thoroughly enjoyed their Brussels Sprouts. The flavors were on point and the crispiness was perfect. I could've just eaten only this all night. Between the two oysters, I enjoyed the James River oysters more. They were mild and sweet and much larger than the Hollywood oysters. The Hollywood oysters were buttery with low brine. I enjoyed them too, but at a $5 premium, you get a better bang for your buck with the James River. You also get a whole bunch of crackers, horseradish, mignonette, and cocktail sauce to add to the oysters. Overall, it was fun to try. I do miss the $5 dozen oysters that used to be offered in Buckhead. The service and food are both good here, and there is usually plenty of parking. I would recommend giving it a try during happy hour.

An amazing place to enjoy a special occasion! My wife and I visited Marietta for her birthday, and we selected Drift for her birthday dinner. From the moment we arrived, everyone from the hostess to the waiter to the food runner all wished her a happy birthday - then they brought her a special dessert of delicious key lime pie. Our meals of the grouper and the lobster roll were flavorful, and the calamari was light and complimented by a terrific sauce. Service from Miroslav was efficient and friendly. Pricing is quite reasonable. We're from out-of-state, but we'd certainly come back when in the area.

So glad I found this on yelp. Amazing food and drinks. The lobster roll was amazing. The oysters were perfection and honestly could not find one thing wrong. Will be going again and trying so much more!

If you're in the mood for great food, you better bring your appetite! An authentic Raw Oyster Bar fixed inside the Avenue of East Cobb. The soft, elegant exterior adds curb appeal to the busy street of Roswell Road. The menu represents Latin-American-inspired flavors with Asian elements. Classy seafood dishes served beautifully. Contemporary driftwood artwork featured with high ceilings makes this restaurant feel open. Easy to escape into the atmosphere and fall victim to the plush seating. Suspending wooden rowboat paddles high in the air gives it even more character. Our server, Erin, was welcoming with good spirits and a delightful personality. The miss's ordered the Changing Tides which was, "sweet & sexy," as she put it. Just the way she likes it. The Birthday Queen only drinks Blue Moon, so after reluctantly sampling a few different types of ale's and, of course, one citrus-style IPA. She appreciated "The Oktoberfest" ale. She was adding a few orange slices to marinade in the alcohol. The Old Fashioned is a fun table-side experience for any first-timer. The smoke floods out the bottle as the server pours the cocktail into the rock's glass. I thoroughly enjoyed every sip, including the watered-down mixture at the end--a great way to wet the palate. The first course was a Crab Drip accompanied by lovely focaccia-crostini's made for delectable finger food. Deviled eggs with creme fraiche and lox are always a winner. Especially right before enjoying one of their savory soups. The Crispy Cod Sandwich is the texture you would imagine coming from a classic handheld. Every bite was as consistent as the first. Simply tasteful. The Coconut Creme Brûlée and the Molten Chocolate Cake were beyond yummy. A perfect way to close out dinner. Unfortunately, we were too satisfied and over-enjoyed, so we could not clean the dessert plates. However, we still attempted. The family had a memorable time out. Happy as a clam, we were able to spend a magical birthday celebration together and still receive proficient service up until the end. In closing, I recommend a taste of everything on the menu paired with a handcrafted cocktail from one of the bartenders. We hope to be visiting again soon with our companions. Cheers! This is THE best place to get oysters in town! In my opinion, and I am comparing it to places in Roswell, Alpharetta and Buckhead, that I will be polite and not call out. The service is always wonderful. With drinks and appetizers it will hit your wallet some. I am a decent cook so when I go out I need to be impressed. Drift has never let us down, the quality is consistently stellar. Parker rolls, like mama made! Octopus: on point! Fabulous bar.

I had a wonderful family dinner at Drift Sunday night. The food was amazing. There were a few items missing on the menu, but that's solely because of food outages due to COVID. It wasn't our 1st visit, so I know how wonderful the service can be. We had a host of different appetizers and entrees and everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The oysters were some of the freshest I've had in Atlanta. Kylie was a wonder server and made great cocktail suggestions. Definitely try the Smoke Rising, the That's What's Up, the warm Lobster Roll, the Wood fired Broiled Oyster and Raw Oysters, Parker House Rolls (order 3 servings), Roasted Beet salad, the Wild Caught Grouper and the Crab Fried Rice. All of it was delicious!! Definitely recommend!

Last night I dined for the first time at Drift. Wow! So good. It's rare to dine somewhere where every bite is perfection, but this was one of those rare occasions. The meal was perfect. My server (wish I could remember her name so I could give her a well-deserved credit) guided me through the menu, and she hit home runs from A to Z! I started out with a non-alcoholic drink, needing to slake my thirst after a long hot afternoon. I ordered the Berry On My Wayward Son (a too-cutesy name that belies how good it is). I don't exaggerate when I say this is one of the most refreshing, delicious drinks I've ever had. I think I could drink a gallon of this stuff and still crave more, although at $6.95 apiece, I'd go broke in a hurry. Still ... it's simply a perfect, satisfying concoction, and is on my list of all-time favorite drinks. Next up was my appetizer, the Wood Fired Octopus. Again, amazing. The octopus is char-grilled, then accompanied by some rather hot pepper slices, caramelized leeks, and a saffron sauce that is just ... I can't find the right words, it was so good. I'll take a dozen, please! Then on to the main course, the Wild Caught Black Grouper. What an interesting dish! The grouper is very lightly coated in some sort of flour (panko, maybe?), then cooked to absolute perfection, crispy without being overcooked. It's served on a sushi rice patty, with scallions and lightly-cooked ginger slivers on top, amid a soy-based sauce. I'm running out of superlatives but just think of the best fish you've ever tasted, then multiply by 10. Oh. My. Gosh. On to dessert. My server seemed to know my taste buds intimately, and she was right again on this recommendation - the coconut creme brulee with a scoop of passion fruit sorbet and some macerated pineapple bits on top. Absolutely decadent. I scraped every atom of this tasty dish up and was tempted to lick the ramen it came in but for propriety's sake, chose not to. Along with the creme brulee I had a lemony dessert cocktail that the bartender had invented, and it was a perfect match for the dessert. It had some POTENT Japanese whiskey (or bourbon - can't recall), and packed a punch. But it was delicious! I'm eagerly looking forward to taking my wife, who's out of town, here very soon. Seriously - these people know how to serve a knock-out dinner. The five stars I'm giving them are well-earned.

Super! Great to have a nice restaurant in East Cobb. The food is consistently yummy and fresh. Servers are fun and knowledgeable. Bartender even a Ramos Gin Fizz for me!! Now that's going out of the way for a diner. Only food I have NOT enjoyed there are the fresh oysters. Being from Louisiana, maybe I'm expecting too much Happy they made it through the pandemic with the Lobster Shack.

A gem in east cobb where excellent food choices are few. The drinks and oysters are really good, especially sitting outside in the warmer weather. Make a reservation as it gets very busy but the food doesn't disappoint. The crab fried rice is a must!!

Everything about this place is great. The environment around you is beautiful and well decorated, the servers are friendly and hospitable, and best of all is the food. There are so many options and they are all good, at least all the foods I've ordered. I recommend this place especially for special occasions.

We tried the lobster roll both ways, and both were good but not great. Fries were just okay. Crab dip to start was a hit. Setting was nice and service was good.

The black grouper offered in what I call, Hong Kong style is a work of art, as are the deviled eggs. A very good key lime pie as well. Keep up the great work, East Cobb with chef driven cuisine has come a long way and it's been a bumpy ride. Seed and Drift are the bomb diggity.

Took the hubby here tonight for his birthday dinner, it was our first time visiting and after seeing the good reviews, photo's, and location we thought it was a good choice. The waitress was great but it stops there. We started with the SMOKED SALMON TORTELLONI the sauce was so salty that it ruined the dish so you couldn't get a taste for anything else. We also had the WOOD FIRED BROILED OYSTERS that was no more than warmed raw oysters that had a little sauce on top, Anybody that has broiled oysters know they are not ready until they puff up. Needless to say we hate raw oysters. Hoping things would get better, they did not. The coke was flat and I waited for quite some time before finally being offered something else while they worked on the dispensing machine. TG for the water on the table to wash down the salt. The two main dishes were just o.k. nothing to write home about, especially for the price tag. We had the WILD CAUGHT BLACK GROUPER that was a piece of fish (that could've actually used some seasoning) that sat on top of a cake of rice that sat in an asian sauce that was also salty but being a soy base sauce it is expected. The 8OZ WAYGU PETITE BISTRO FILET was also just o.k. cooked correctly with just a little asperigus with it and a smattering of tasteless onion sauce. The mg did offer to remake some of the dishes but by this time we really just wanted to finish enough to serve the purpose and leave.

I'm so glad this restaurant is operating during COVID-19; it's one of our neighborhood favorites. First, I'll mention the safety precautions we observed during our visit. We booked a reservation online and were seated right on time. Upon entry, we noticed the bar has installed plexiglass dividers between bar seats. Also, there's a hand sanitizer dispenser adjacent to the front door. The staff are wearing masks and so are customers when not seated at their tables. As for the food, we love the jalapeño cheddar hush puppies and oysters to start. My boyfriend always orders the lobster roll with fries; while not big in size, it is big in flavor. I like the scallops, which come served amongst cubes of roasted, seasoned sweet potato. I recommend! Note: I have a specific seafood allergy and the staff was sensitive to my issue. Ladies, beware of the first bathroom stall in the restroom. The door is too large and it barely opens or closes with you inside the stall. I'm a smaller person and it was crazy tight. Random comment, I know, but it was the only strange part of our visit. I still enthusiastically recommend you stop by if you enjoy seafood like us.

Does anyone else think they water down their drinks? I had 2 cocktails and didn't even feel them . I've noticed this on several occasions.

I definitely enjoy coming here on a gorgeous sunny afternoon. The outside in the cool breezes. The staff is so attendant I loved our server Melissa. And the manager Sarah's? And Brian were very efficient. If you do have the house sangria make sure you ask for freshly made because they do make the sangria in the morning and it does tend to become better in the afternoon. The hush puppies were to die for so delicious so crunchy such a sweet exterior amazing. The oysters were OK I definitely enjoy the ones at Hugos better. I did order the codfish sandwich and I eat it up so quickly I forgot to take a picture it was delightful definitely will be ordering that when I go back

Restaurants are like cars!! You don't mind a crappy one if it's cheap but, it REALLY blows when it's expensive!!! That's why I never give 5 stars to an expensive restaurant unless it's REALLY good!! Simply put: the food mainly from the sea), service and ambiance are the BEST IN ATANTA (yes that includes all the ITP ones too)!! More complicated?! The chef uses imaginative combinations of fish, lobster and vegetables that are exceptional!! The decor is modern with warm wood accents!! The patio faces southwest for a spectacular sunset while eating at the outdoor bar! The staff are attentive and ADORABLE!! Thank God East Cobb has restaurants like Drift, Seed and Fujihana - the only places I go for good food!!

Our party of 8 visited recently and we were all extremely disappointed. The service was very slow and inattentive. All of our meals were so over salted that they were almost inedible. For the high prices charged, lack of service and poor food, we will not be back.

November blahs. Weather was warmer than normal but it got a little brisk in the evening. Not so cold it required an overcoat but a sweater. To celebrate my SO birthday, yes 29 years of age (eternally) I sought out to make a stake in oysters since the pandemic occurred we had to change our plans (back in April) to abort a trip on the sole premise of oysters (NOLO) This wasn't a bad choice. Ambiance is interesting, an updated coastal feel with beech and some dark wood as well, servers wore dark jeans and white Oxford shirts with a nice apron. Ours was a very pleasant gentleman who helped us navigate the menu. We settled in with two oyster appetizers and an entree along with some fabulous house made cocktails. The smoky old fashioned is enough for me to come back on alone. I wish I could upload the video. Then a nice creme brûlée sealed the deal with a great evening out. Excellent all around. Will be back if we are in the mood for a different ambiance than goin' Coastal...

Unexpected flavors! Excellent service! Neighborhood vibe for ambiance! If your in East Cobb definitely try it.....you won't be disappointed.

Just tried this spot and loved it! It's in a shopping plaza but is great quality. They have a vast cocktail and wine list and all made to order with creativity. Their mussels are amazing, large quantity and homemade focaccia bread grilled. Their clam chowder is great.. coming from a new Englander! And they have these French onion grits that are to die for! They came with the grilled salmon which was cooked perfectly. All in all very great! Kind of pricey but worth it.
