Yelp
Great experience at Drift! This was my last stop on my trip to North Myrtle for brunch on the way home. This came highly recommended from a friend/fellow Yelp elite and it didn't disappoint.
I love fancy brunch. But fancy brunch that's still hearty and delicious? And throw in some fancy coffees and beverages? You've hit the jackpot. Drift incorporates all these elements and more! The patio is a standout, providing lots of shade and plenty of air circulation without compromising the ambiance. I really loved the greenery walls, plants and neon signs around the patio and interior. It really gives it a modern feel, and obviously instagram-worthy backdrops (which I took full advantage of.)
Our server was super kind and attentive throughout the visit, no complaints about the service! It was fast, but not rushed. Their menu is pretty fun and expansive. I was intrigued by the sea salt caramel cold brew. It was pretty classic to a true cold brew, strong and not super sweet. Nice presentation and a solid serving size. Also worth noting, they do have a "healthier" section of their menu, although I did not order from it lol.
My friend got the salmon avocado toast, and it had a solid portion of smoked salmon on it, and again excellent presentation. She added a poached egg, and really loved this dish. We both got the home fries as a side, which were great. Perfectly crispy on the outside!
I got the duck eggs Benedict and y'all. Wow wow wow. This is one of the best Benedict's I've ever had, and eggs Benny is one of my favorite dishes to order. The duck was melt in your mouth tender with so much flavor. I loved that it was served on a griddled croissant, a nice little flair on a classic dish. I loved the addition of sautéed spinach, but my one and only complaint about this dish is that I wish they would've drained the spinach a bit, as the moisture kind of soaked into the bread. With that being said, still one of the best Benny's I've had. The hollandaise was delightful, just as it should be, and the eggs were perfectly poached. An amazing dish for sure!
Because two entrees wasn't enough, we had to order the bananas foster French toast to share for "dessert" and wow. It really had that creamy spiced rum flavor, classic in bananas foster. We ended up taking almost of this to go because of the size of the other dishes, but it was the perfect sweet bite at the end of the meal.
Not a tourist trap - this food is delicious. Highly recommend!
