13 Best Hotels in Palm Springs

"This downtown-adjacent hotel that opened in spring 2023 just might be one of the coolest hotels in the city with the most spacious (and amenity-packed) rooms. Nearly all of the accommodations are multi-room suites replete with sleek electric ranges, full-size refrigerators, dishwashers, and kitchen islands—amenities you won’t find at most other hotels nearby. Decor skews neutral and minimalist with concrete floors, white walls, paper-covered orb sconces, light wood platform beds, natural fiber throw rugs, and black metal wall rods in lieu of closets. The entire property is centered around a giant swimming pool flanked by cushioned chaise lounge chairs, day beds, and mustard yellow umbrellas—plus a row of comfy cabanas. Grab creative Baja-inspired dishes like charred carrots in a sunflower seed crema, scallop crudo, or mahi tacos at the all-day eatery, Maleza. Outside of food and beverage, service is mainly behind the scenes here: There’s no lobby, front desk, or concierge. You can check in on your phone and text a digital concierge named Eve, who responds pretty quickly, for anything you need. Though there’s no daily maid service, you can request housekeeping for an additional fee." - Lizbeth Scordo

Drift Palm Springs

"Why book? This brand-new hotel (opened spring 2023) is an excellent option for those looking for stylish accommodations with tons of space—many of the suites have multiple bedrooms, ensuite baths, and luxe full kitchens. Throw in a central location and onsite restaurant, and the Drift is a very well-rounded property. Set the scene The multi-structure hotel blends desert elements with Bajan-chic style. The angular, white-stucco buildings are dotted with pops of muted murals, and surrounded by native succulents, statuesque cacti, tall palms, and green-trunked palo verde trees. The entire property is centered around a giant swimming pool flanked by cushioned chaise-lounge chairs, day beds, and mustard-yellow umbrellas, plus a row of comfy cabanas (currently available on a first-come, first-served basis) replete with slatted wood ceilings and dividers, couches and coffee tables, and overhead fans. Even at the height of festival season the vibe is relatively quiet, with lounge music serving as the backdrop for a clientele of couples, duos of girlfriends, and families with teens in tow. The backstory Operator TMC Hospitality says it’s focusing on making the expanding Drift brand minimalist, vibrant, and friendly. Built from the ground up, the Palm Springs venue is now the third Drift property to come online in the last few years, with existing hotels in San Jose Del Cabo and Santa Barbara. Another in Nashville is also currently in the works. The rooms Rooms are as sizable as they are stylish. While there are some in the studio category, the majority of accommodations are two-, three-, and four-bedroom suites equipped with living areas and shiny-new kitchens that have just about everything you need. Think full-size refrigerators, dishwashers, and electric ranges, as well as an island with bar seating and plenty of glasses, plates, and cookware. Decor skews neutral and minimalist with concrete floors, white walls, paper-covered orb sconces, light wood platform beds, natural fiber throw rugs, and black metal wall rods in lieu of closets. Bathrooms (which are both ensuite and jack-and-jill, depending on the room) are highlighted with onyx-hued stone countertops, double sinks, and glass enclosed showers. Large balconies are a highlight, with ample seating and rope hammocks encouraging you to stay put. Food and drink The menu at all-day eatery Maleza focuses on Bajan cuisine, with lots of seafood dishes and innovative veggie options. The street-facing restaurant's soaring ceilings, massive fireplace, and big bar open up to an abundance of outdoor-patio seating and seems to be just as popular with locals as guests—it's jammed on weeknights as well as weekends. Afternoons are currently a lot less-crowded, so you’ll have no trouble scoring a table at lunch to grab daytime-only tacos or the Oaxacan cheeseburger. Come dinner, cool down with oysters on the half shell done up with jalapeño mignonette or the beet salad with spiced pistachios before digging into a plate of red snapper with guajillo mole. The bar program is a fun one, with options like a Mexican spirit-and-cilantro milk punch and a Oaxacan negroni that's mixed with strawberry-infused Campari. Bartenders—many of whom are pros recruited from other hotel bars around town—are also happy to make you a dealer’s choice: You choose the spirit and they'll take it from there. The neighborhood/area Set along Indian Canyon Drive, one block from main drag Palm Canyon Drive, the location—across from a parking structure and next to a Best Western—doesn’t seem like a prime spot for a hot new hotel. But once on premises, the property feels surprisingly private and a world away from just about everything, yet still in a super central location from which it’s easy to walk to restaurants, shops, local museums, and even hikes. The service Outside of food and beverage staffers, service is mainly behind the scenes here—there is no lobby, front desk, nor concierge. You can easily check in ahead of arrival on your phone, and then receive via text message an access code that you’ll use to get into both your room and common areas like the pool. Still, if you need anything you’re welcome to text a digital concierge named Eve, who responds pretty quickly. Though there’s no daily maid service, you can request housekeeping for an additional fee. For families While many boutique properties in town are adults-only (21-plus), children of any age are welcome here. Thanks to that and the large multi-bedroom-and-bathroom suites with full kitchens, the Drift should be a top pick for families.  Eco effort Look for filtered water dispensers throughout the property to keep your bottle filled during those hot desert days. Accessibility There are three ADA rooms on the property. Anything left to mention? Complimentary yoga takes place on Saturday mornings, and a low-key DJ spins later in the day. Bikes are available for guests to explore the city, and while there isn’t a gym you can borrow a yoga mat and do a fresh-air workout on your balcony, or anywhere on the grounds." - Lizbeth Scordo

Drift Palm Springs (Palm Springs Area, California) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Among the new hotels giving Palm Springs’ historic lodgings a run for their money is Drift, a stylish boutique in a surprisingly quiet location just off the main drag. Instead of mimicking the neighbors’ midcentury modern aesthetic, the designers went for a minimalist industrial look, softening the white stucco buildings’ geometric lines with vibrant murals, handmade Mexican textiles, and an abundance of native succulents." - Tablet Hotels

Great location, great room and set up! It’s perfect if traveling with a group of friends or family. People have their own bedroom, but a common room which was so nice to have. It was very clean very modern and we loved all of the amenities!! The beds were comfortable the bathroom products were nice! 5 ⭐️

We had an incredible stay at Drift Palm Springs! From the moment we arrived, the vibe was effortlessly cool — modern, stylish, and welcoming. My partner and I stayed in a two-bedroom suite that struck the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. The beds and pillows were unbelievably fluffy — it felt like sinking into a cloud every night. The Chromecast-enabled TV was a great touch, letting us stream our own shows and wind down in total comfort.||||The pool area quickly became one of our favorite spots. We booked a cabana for a day and completely relaxed in the sun with a fun and easygoing atmosphere and impeccable service. The food and drinks at Maleza were outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented (try the ribeye!). It’s more than just a hotel restaurant; it’s a destination in itself.||||A heartfelt thank-you to Ashley, Valerie, Erik, and others for their warm and attentive hospitality. Each of them went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and their thoughtful touches made our stay even more memorable.||||Drift is a true gem in Palm Springs, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

I stayed here for my back and had such a great time. The three bedroom was perfect for our group of 6. Having the large counter space and fridge was a necessity! It felt like our own little apartment for the weekend. Plus, the view made for a perfect backdrop in our pictures. Definitely recommend The Drift!

We stayed one night at The Drift in Palm Springs and couldn’t get out fast enough. The whole experience felt cold and impersonal—no front desk, no keys, just a door code texted to you. If you travel often like I do (5+ hotel nights a week), that extra code is just one more thing to remember on top of your room number.||||They charge a resort fee for parking and internet. Meanwhile, I had to park on the street because their tiny lot was full, and the Wi-Fi was unusable. I had to hotspot from my phone just to finish basic work.||||Rooms are bare-bones industrial chic—concrete floors (so echoey you can forget about sleeping in), zero sound insulation (I got to know my neighbors’ life stories), and no proper workspace. Also: outdoor elevator, no ventilation. Basically a toaster with buttons.||||We left and checked into The Riviera (IHG property) the next day and instantly wished we’d started there. Massive upgrade: bigger room, better A/C, real on-site dining, multiple bars, and a larger pool. The only thing The Drift had going for it? A slightly closer location to downtown. That’s it.||||Clean? Sure. But for a Marriott-branded property, The Drift is all style, no substance. It’s now on my “never again” list.

I am in LOVE with Drift and the team at this hotel! I hosted my 40th Birthday at Drift this past weekend and I was not disappointed. After several weeks of conversations and back and forth I showed up and was able to relax. My 30 guests and I shared several suites on the property and everyone raved about how comfortable the beds were. The view from Suite 313 is amazing and gives a birds eye view of the whole resort, with a view of the mountains in the distance. The suite was very sweet. I hosted two events at Drift, a dinner on the restaurant patio and a brunch upstairs in the event space, El Cielo. Both events were a complete success. The food was absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend the chilaquiles more, a perfect brunch menu option. I took some left overs home with me and was feed for days. The Food and Beverage manager, Christopher, was such a joy to work with on site and Ashley, the general manager made life so easy for me all weekend. Saturday afternoon we spent hours at the pool and the service and vibes were 100. It was hot out but the misters and cold cocktails hit the spot. Drift is a relaxed atmosphere and offers a lot for any large party looking to celebrate in Palm Springs. I look forward to returning and spending my afternoon floating in the pool there again.

Google
Great location, rooms are nice, pool area is awesome and food at the restaurant was delicious! Also, staff here are very responsive and helpful. Only loses a star as the sound proofing isn’t very good and if you have neighbours then you will hear a lot of noise. We could also hear every footstep from the room above. It was otherwise great.

Beautiful design hotel, minimalist but warm rooms with furnished kitchen, coffee and so on. The pool is nice and has enough space for everybody and the restaurant, Maleza, was excellent. Very friendly service there, and in the hotel in general. I can't wait to go back!||No breakfast but there's a local place 3 mn away by foot that's very good (same street), and a IHOP another minute further.

Stayed here for my sister's wedding. Great location and easy to reach downtown.||Venue was wonderful and had lots of space.||||The unit was beautiful and had lots of great space to have the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready. ||||Loved having the kitchen space. My only criticism would be that they provided most things for the kitchen but there wasn't any salt and pepper so I had to make multiple trips to the grocery store.||||This is my own personal preference, but I actually found sleeping on the couch more comfortable than the beds.||||Checking in and out was very easy and efficient.||||Thank you for having us for our first time in Palm Springs and providing an amazing venue for the beautiful couple.

Yelp
Hosted my 40th Birthday at Drift with 30 of my friends from LA and had the absolute best experience. The Drift team was professional and responsive, they worked with me on budget for two catered events and gave me a great room rate for all of my guests. Dinner on the patio and brunch in their event space were both fantastic. The food and cocktails were delicious. I am so happy that I chose Drift and am excited to return to the property again for a relaxing weekend by the pool.

Yelp
I had a mini staycation for my birthday, which also happened to be 4th of July weekend! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Everything from beginning to end was five stars! The four bedroom suite was the perfect accommodation for my party of 8. Valerie checking us in, and Lisa hustling at the cabanas! Thank you so much!

Yelp
Done! Adults that wanna get away....Valerie and Ashley thank you for intro me to your virtual hotel.. Space, Pool , Room....boutique and don't recommend kids. Food is off the chart and service beyond over the top. My new love spot for Palm Springs Oh before I forget the pool side service and drinks are amazing. A literal STAYcation. Thank you Viana.

Yelp
Wonderful property! It's new to PS and what a great addition. I booked the 4-bedroom suite for my birthday with some friends and had the most splendid time. It's a little pricey if you're not in a group and everything is done with AI from check-in to check-out. I would absolutely book again and think I might in a few months! P.s. It is NOT a full kitchen like advertised, only a stove, a toaster oven, dishwasher & fridge.

Yelp
I will caveat that I have status with Bonvoy so that could have influenced what I experienced here: The great: - We booked a studio using points and they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom which was a pleasant surprise! - there is no "front desk" per se - they text you the room and the code to get in and you check in online. I was weary about this at first because I do like that personal connection, but it was pretty seamless for us. - the pool area was spotless and the water was really warm and inviting. - the property was clean, inviting and modern - Maleza, the restaurant was great! It deserves its own review, but the food was delicious, flavorful and the service was fantastic and attentive. Love the NA options since my husband and I don't drink. - the rooms were well appointed - the 2 br suite had tons of snacks and drinks. However - you do have to PAY for them. - they have nice activities they hold (tacos on Thursday, yoga on saturdays) which is an added plus. The ok: - They make it so tempting to have the snacks in the fridge and pantry, but they are EXPENSIVE - I honestly refrained because grocery outlet was down the street and there's so much good food just blocks away so I didn't feel the need to go for the snacks. - I know this is expected but the resort fees! Like what are they for?! You get no room service, you text for concierge...it makes no sense to me. I do hope they pass legislation to get rid of those fees because it felt especially unnecessary here - even though the space is beautiful, it is essentially a 3 star hotel - parking can be limited especially if you come during the evenings when the restaurant is full and is annoying when there isn't a prioritization to keep spaces for the people who are staying there - the bed is really soft. Some people may like that though - I prefer a more firm mattress. But overall I would recommend this hotel - it's low key, the rooms were clean and well appointed and it's so close to everything in downtown PS.

Yelp
Stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, definitely well worth it. Staff were great, pool/ room was clean, and food at the restaurant was MUST. Despite not have a jacuzzi we made do. Rooms are well stocked with snacks and beverages alcoholic,/non-alcoholic. Even they are costly if the money isn't the problem it is enjoyable due to not have to go to a local store. To each their own. But overall I really enjoyed the drift.

Yelp
I came with my friend after finding it on a Travelzoo deal. We opted to park across the street to skip valet. Very interesting system of checking in and out through an AI. I love the aesthetic of the hotel, very minimalist. We had happy hour at the attached restaurant which was also excellent. The pool was great as well. I loved having my own room and my friend having her own room as well.

Yelp
This hotel doesn't know what it is yet. The restaurant and bar are spectacular but the dinner bill was $280....so not cheap. The property itself is OK but the rooms are budget. It's one of those no closets no drawers sleeping rooms. It's eight in the morning and I'm here trying to get into the front desk in the lobby and everything is locked up and no one is here. Which also means no coffee.... The room actually has coffee just no sweetener. Id feel a lot better about this place if I were paying less than 250 a night. We will come back to eat but we won't stay here again.

Yelp
Stayed here for my 30th birthday over the weekend. Everything is super clean, well taken care of and so so cute. We usually stay at Arrive, which we love, but wanted to try something different. There were 2 things that were really important to me this weekend and it was a bar and music by the pool. When I called to confirm they had these two amenities, they said they had a DJ on Saturdays. The DJ played nothing but cumbia. For hours. I know the hotel isn't a party hotel and has guests of all ages, but at least play something a little more upbeat. ESPECIALLY when multiple people asked the DJ, the concierge service and waiters by the pool to switch it up. There was literally a dude twerking to try and to get him to change the music. DJ never switched it up. I may come back, may not. I love staying at Arrive because they're super fun but also mellow at times. I think alot of the Palm Springs hotels strive to create a fun upbeat environment when they say they're going to have a DJ. Hopefully this one can do that too in the future!

Yelp
We need more COOL HOTELS in Palm Springs. This is one of them. Drift Palm Springs just opened their doors a few months ago... like maybe 3 months ago.. its April 15, 2023 today... so lets say the beginning of January... end of December. According to the people I spoke with at the bar, The hotel's owner, a young entrepreneur named Max, had a clear vision for the Drift Hotel. He wanted to create a destination that combined the glamour and sophistication of mid-century modern design with the laid-back, eco-conscious lifestyle that Palm Springs was known for. Each room features a king-sized bed with high-quality linens, a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge stocked with local snacks and drinks, and an en-suite bathroom with luxurious toiletries. There are a lot of things about this hotel that kind of reminds me of Sonder. When you park your car and walk in... there is a definite casualness to everything inside.. the check-in area is right next to the bar area and if you didn't look carefully you will miss it. There is a indoor/outdoor free flow between the checkin/lobby/bar area and the pool and the rest of the complex. I haven't been inside any of the rooms yet but from what I hear they are pretty minimalist. The food menu is another discussion entirely. A half roasted chicken under "entrees for sharing"... is pretty pricey... pricier than the most expensive restaurants. So... the jury is out.. as far as what I truly think of this hotel. I'm just glad there is another New & Cool place to hang out in Palm Springs!

Yelp
The photos are nicer than the hotel, I found the place on Airbnb but called the hotel directly to book. They offer better rates on Airbnb, substantially lower for the 4 bedroom and if you ask they will match it. We came out for the night from Orange County to enjoy the John Mayer concert and decided to get this 4 bedroom at Drift. The checkin process is easy and all automated, when the rooms ready they text you the room # and door code. There's no front desk or lobby. Once you arrive you get the feel that this was an old apartment conversion and not as nice as the photos. A few things they are missing here especially for the cost of this place: water, there's not even a bottle of water in the room. I asked / texted about a blue tooth speaker and they don't offer them in the room. This is a 4 bedroom suite with no music or water also the showers have no doors so it's cold when you take a shower and messy as water gets all over the bathroom floor. It's hard to get service without a front desk or customer service agent that's onsite. We got in about 4:00 went to dinner and received this text: We have an emergency plumbing issue that we need to resolve tonight in order for all our plumbing in the hotel to function properly. The work will begin at around 9:30PM and last for 30 minutes. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Needless to say we were up later than expected, then they text for checkout at 8am yes 8am and say if you need a late checkout it may be possible but as soon as you ask they say no. There's just not a lot of accommodating on their part, it's expensive for just a night of sleep and you'll need to bring your own water and speaker lol There's far better options IMO

Jessica B.

Yelp
I really did like this hotel. You may wonder then about the low rating. Here's the deal. I think if you're paying a fairly high nightly rate AND a nightly destination fee, you should get daily housekeeping, and if you're not getting that (which you can get for a fee, see below*) then you should have so much toilet paper in your room, there's no way you could run out. No one wants to have to ask for another roll when you gotta go. I also feel if your paying that destination fee, then the pool area should not have a sign that says "1 Towel per person". I admit, they didn't enforce it, but come on... Also I think the water jugs by the pool should be so loaded with ice and refilled so often that you can drink as much as your body needs. Hot stale water by the pool is no fun for anyone. I also don't really get the $250 charge for the cabanas. They aren't that great! No loungers, so the cabana renters end up using the other chairs by the pool when they wanted sun...and there aren't enough of them in the first place. Food and drink service by the pool was great, but they needed more help. The poor girl did a great job, but it was hot and there was a lot of orders being placed. Tacos & margaritas, chips & guac were delicious. The room itself was great. Minimalist, very clean, bed is comfortable. So odd that there is nowhere to put your clothes or luggage. There's a bench area where we ended up putting our stuff, and a few places where you could hang a couple things. Loved the balcony. I don't know if I'd go back, unless it was an absolutely fantastic deal. (I am appalled that these charges do not include the bathroom) *These charges are per room not for the whole unit and does not include bathroom. A la carte housekeeping 1 BR $35.00 plus tax A la carte housekeeping 2 BR $65.00 plus tax A la carte housekeeping 3 BR $95.00 plus tax A la carte housekeeping 4 BR $135.00 plus tax

Yelp
Fantastic customer service. Fantastic location. Extremely clean. I would recommend this hotel for sure. It is spacious and very comfortable. The bed is fantastic.

Yelp
We spent three wonderful days here. Zoom calls for work in the mornings and spent time in the pool in the afternoons. We adored the minimalist decor and comfy space. We also appreciated our four course dinner at Maleza, the hotel's restaurant. However, I have two complaints. First off, the pool. While I understand that August is the off season for Palm Springs, I wish you continued to maintain the cleanliness of the pool. Secondly, we emailed management a couple of times to request a late checkout bc our Zoom ended at noon. Please note: normal checkout time is at 11am. However, they do not have a front desk, so email is your only communication and they did not respond to our email requests for a late checkout. Sadly they charged us $200 for leaving the property around 1:30 pm and did not honor our request to have that fee waived. Granted, the hotel only hand a handful of guests during our stay. What could have been a memorable trip was certainly ruined by the hotel's lack of communication and transparency. Maleza Restaurant review to follow... our dining experience certainly deserves 5+ stars

Yelp
Came here today using a pool pass and wow... this hotel has it all. The decor is stunning. My mom and I loved our lunch, as well! Delicious cocktails and the friendliest staff... Special shoutout to Eva, Edgar, and the general manager (I forgot his name, sorry!) for being beyond accommodating and kind. Will definitely be staying here for my next trip to Palm Springs!

Christopher H.

Yelp
I am a Marriott titanium member, the highest level below ambassador. I booked three nights at three different hotels using the same credit card that I've used for years, and this is the only location that had a problem with my payment. I felt like they were scamming me to get more information. I will never book here again. There is a reason their reviews are low. Book at your own risk

Derick G.

Yelp
I 100% recommend this hotel in Palm Springs. I highly highly recommend using Green's Travel for any travel bookings. The suites are great, they're huge and the pool is really nice.

Yelp
This place might think it's too cool for school and might think it's the shit, and a plethora of similar metaphors, but let me tell you, looks are not everything. And if the service from even one server angers you, you're joint is screwed. All I experience at the bar having a drink was servers, one in particular, that made me feel anger towards him. I'll give you an example, firstly this establishment proudly advertise 'Happy Hour' on a chalkboard in the street. It says clearly, 2pm--6pm. So you go in an sit down at the bar and you ask the barman about happy hour and he says 'Monday to Friday'. WTF. Okay, so what beer do you have on draft...? Calidad he says. Great, I'll have two of those please. He comes back two seconds later, it's out he says. No apology. Just stands there like someone threw his breaker to off. I mean where do they train these guys? So the result, which is actually a reflection of the enter attitude of the hotel is a shitty review. Act shitty, employ shitty, you are shitty. It's not rocket science Dude. I saw a another guy ask him for directions and he just pointed. Halfwit. Nice Santa Barbara Stucco on the walls by the way (you have to be deep into midcentury rebuild architecture to get that one). Maybe I'll come back maybe not. Nothing worse for killing repeat visits than being left with a bad taste in your mouth.

Yelp
DELIGHTFUL!! We booked the 3 bedroom unit for a group trip and it was great. The design is beautiful and the pool area is spectacular. It really feels like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Super classy. We stayed 3 nights and ate in the restaurant for lunch and dinner 2 nights. It was nice to have a kitchen in the suite and we were able to prepare some delicious meals from the items they had available. It took a little getting used to not having a traditional check-in desk but it actually ended up working super well as they had a great concierge text service and when we met the GM (Paul) and his team they were super friendly and approachable. Super willing to help and knowledgable. Super well located to the downtown too. Definitely head into town on the Thursday night, its great fun. We will for sure be coming back. Next time I'll bring the family. Thanks Drift!

Yelp
I just want to start off by saying thank you to David and the three staff members, I forgot their names so I'm going to just describe them. One female staff has blue hair, another female staff has a lot of tattoos with red hair, and the last male staff member is a new employee. If you want to stay at beautiful and amazing hotel with an incredible staff this is the hotel you should go to. I stayed in the two bedroom suite and it was more than what I imagined. The pool was perfect. The restaurant down stairs had everything you need to eat and drink. This was my first time coming to palm springs and from now on this is the only hotel I'll stay at. Thank you to all the staff that made my vacation great!

Yelp
Amazing drinks, excellent service, and a beautiful pool and hotel! We had a great day enjoying our cabana at the Drift Palm Springs. Would recommend!

Yelp
In many ways, the work of a yelp reviewer is easy. We risk very little and enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves for our judgement. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we Yelp Reviewers face, is that in the grand scheme if things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there is a time when a Yelp Reviewer risks something, and that is the discovery and defense of the new. Tonight, I experienced something new, an extra ordinary meal in front of new friends and in the pool area of Palm Springs newest hotel, Drift. The menu was artfully crafted and inspired like the shrimp and sweet potato and the corn and bone marrow, and a new twist on old staples like the Ribeye, which exemplifies why we go out to eat in the first place. The overall "atmosphere" was sleek and sexy and somehow evolved with the different tones of each course. I'm excited to come back and make new friends and find new experiences waiting for me.

Yelp
Palm Springs is for the GIRLS!!!! The 5 of us had the best weekend stay here. We were in the 4 bedroom suite and having 3 bathrooms for 5 girls is a MUST, plenty of room for all of us to get ready for a night out all at the same time. The kitchen had all the necessary things you will need and our balcony overlooked the pool. Watching the beautiful desert sunrise from the balcony hammock was something I won't forget. We stayed over Presidents Day weekend but the pool area was never too crowded. The drinks from the bar were insanely good and live music at the pool made the whole pool vibe great. Spend the day at the pool and then go out at night! The nightlife was amazing, I definitely recommend Bar Cecil for dinner. It's a celebrity hot spot but the ambience is gorgeous and the food was great. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

Yelp
Best hotel in Palm Springs! Location is in the heart of downtown. Service is really good. They do a remote check in so you can arrive checked in if you just follow the simple steps on their text messages. Loved their bar and restaurant as well.

Yelp
100% recommend. Great rooms - very well appointed with a modern, non cluttered aesthetic. (We were really impressed with the coffee, beverage and snack offerings in the room.. great selection and reasonable prices...) The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Yelp
Horribly run place. Do not stay here. Overpriced. Avoid at all costs. Terrible so called management. An abomination.

Yelp
Booked a day pass to access the pool and loved this. Organised all online, $25 + tax and online fee and this was well worth it. Lowkey music flowing to just get you in a calm mind space. Wasn't busy till about 1pm. Bathrooms were close and clean. Pool was clean. Noticed it was lots of others from around the world who were stopping by on their west coast adventures. Would definitely come back. Just a nice clean place to relax and unwind

Yelp
Great first time experience.... Hotel manager went above and beyond. Great service, clean rooms, fantastic pool and bar to relax. We will be back again.

Yelp
So my husband and I stayed here the second week of April, about a month after they opened. I will start by saying, read the FAQs before booking. Then, the PROS: their pool/bar service was great. Good drinks and food. The pool area is cute, always had fresh towels and clean pool. We liked their desert modern vibe aesthetics. Very close to the main spots of downtown Palm Springs. Spacious rooms (we stayed in studio, smallest room). Comfy beds. Cons: before heading over I called there main call center and asked if they had a mini fridge in our room, they said yes. Well they did not. When we arrived we text their messaging help system and they offered no help or solution besides asking the bar for ice. There are no body length mirrors anywhere in the room. Then, in our room, the bed was off to the left of the TV, so we couldn't properly watch it without having our heads facing the right the entire time. Not sure if this was overlooked or on purpose... The walls are THIN. We could hear our neighbors and anyone walking outside. The AC system has a bright blue light that won't run off! As I said before read the FAQs, they only offer room services like turn down service, at an extra cost. Their text message help system does not reply in a timely manner. On the second day there they text us to ask when we would be around so they can change the batteries in our lock. We replied we were nearby and to let us know when they would like to go. They never replied, so unclear if they ever went or went without our knowledge. Overall it was relaxing, but for the price I wouldn't go again. Also, google gave this to us as an adult only hotel...it is not (not the hotels fault, just be aware).

Yelp
Wife and i took a little time away from the kiddos. Super cool place, vibe good vibes. Just make sure you arrive early because lounge chairs will be taken. Overall highly suggest

Yelp
Hotel guest services run by rude (effective) AI. No reception desk. Basically a free for all air bnb apartment complex. Took a bit to find someone with key code to room so could check in Probably good for fraternity event to pack in as many people as possible for low rate

Yelp
Really great new hotel. Came with some friends to check it out for a quick overnight to escape LA. Very clean, nice, brand new everything. Got a free upgrade to a 2 bdrm suite which had a full kitchen - cooked breakfast for our whole crew there - brand new green pots and pans, very nice. Poolside bar was chill and the tacos were amazing.

Yelp
Just took my girlfriend here for a mini vacation! This place is amazing! The staff was super friendly and helpful. I didn't get his name but thank you valet person from yesterday who made our day feel so much more welcome! As an introvert the offer every communication through text which I can describe how helpful this was! The decor was beautiful with using minimalism furnitures. Their shampoo and shower mix smells amazing! And their beds are super comfortable we fell asleep right away after putting our heads down. Best hotel I've stayed in 10/10

Yelp
My friends and I stayed at this hotel for my birthday weekend and the staff made every effort to make our stay as unpleasant as possible. Every interaction was impolite and unprofessional from the moment we entered the facility until we left. Although the hotel was beautiful, the appalling customer service will prevent me from ever returning.

Yelp
Great hotel in a great location downtown. Very good restaurant on property. The design is minimal and perfect. Cozy beds, and great pool! Must book!

Yelp
Wow! I've never loved a hotel more. I booked due to the spacious rooms and large pool and don't regret it one bit. For those used to a front desk...there is no front desk and everything is mobile but I love it and it somehow works! There is a valet guy but parking is legit right across the street and free. Pool side service was amazing and the property was extremely well kept! My only complaint is the coffee bar or breakfast joint not open in the morning.. We left today and it still wasn't open at 8am and your girl needed coffee!

Yelp
We had the pleasure of being Drift's very first guests and we were treated like royalty. All staff are lovely and helpful. Amenities in rooms like a clothes steamer, diffuser on hair dryer (great because we had a 70's party to go to), super fast kettle, interesting books and magazines, all made us feel special. NOTE: not ALL rooms have balconies, a few have juliette. Cocktails were on point. Easy and efficient virtual check in. Congratulations, it's BEAUTIFUL property, super cool loungey vibe.

Yelp
we were supposed to be at the best western next door and ended up here. upon realizing we were at the wrong hotel staff was still so kind and inviting. we grabbed a couple drinks at the bar and got awesome service by Lalo. He gave us awesome recommendations of places to check out while we are in town.

Yelp
So far so good... ive been here 3-4 times w/friends, and I've had the Guacamole, shrimp tacos, steak tacos, Caesar salad, and a few cocktails. My only complaints would be the Caesar Salad and Pool area. The Caesar salad had wayyyyy too many anchovies which made the salad overly fishy! I'm not sure if the anchovies were old or the portion control was off but MAN!!! As far as the pool are goes the cabanas are nice but they are just getting started so there needs to be some tweaks! The music by the pool is wayyyy to Low! People were struggling to hear the music, and my party actullay left the pool area (our Cabana) to be closer to the music! The inside is cute and I love all the authentic touches to bring the concept alive... but still need a little tweaking : ) STAY TUNED!

Yelp
My partner & I we're in from New York on vacation, one of our friends suggested we stay here at Drift PS. We are so thankful for this recommendation, because not only is it a gorgeous property, but the food is fantastic and the staff is amazing. The rooms are immaculate and the simplicity of the entire property is on another level. There's one person in particular who stood out to us during our visit, he was extremely attentive and made our stay feel like home. His name is Jonathan & he is one of their Fabulous bar staff. He also gave us the best recommendation for hikes and places to see in the desert. We will ABSOLUTELY be back in December and look forward to seeing him again! Overall great Team & Staff, they know what they're doing.

Yelp
Listen I can deal with the fact that there weren't enough lounge chairs by the pool for the hotel guests (though you would think the hotel would decrease number of day passes when hotel is fully booked) but wasn't a great way to start the stay. And I can also deal w charging $30/night for valet ( even though my fav places to stay in PS don't charge for parking) but what i couldn't deal with is our room was adjoining and we could hear literally EVERYTHING from the folks in the other room (even from the shower!!). Manager was nice and offered a "discount" on our next visit but so not interested in coming back. If having a private and quiet room is important to you and a lounge chair by the pool - uh then this is not your place.

Yelp
Stayed here with a group of 4 girls. We booked the 2 bedroom suite for 2 nights and it was so nice and very large. I loved the minimalist dessert vibes. The pool was great and I loved how calm and chill it was. I also really appreciated the hotel staff. We ended up leaving a day early due to bad weather hitting SoCal, and the staff gave us a 1 night credit to use within 6 months. We also met with Adam, one of the onsite staff members, and he was so nice and friendly and made us feel good about our decision to leave early. All this made us feel like the staff genuinely cares about their customers. We are very excited to come back during better weather!

Yelp
The $30 a night parking is steep especially since the car is only right outside your door. Otherwise cool hotel and very friendly.

Yelp
This hotel is one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in- that deserves a 5. The valets are awesome- very friendly. Our biggest complaint is the booking. We requested a early check in. The time they state you can early check in is between 10-3. My first question was how much would that be? We were told 100.00. We agreed my next question was - we don't want to be just waiting around for our room outside the hotel. We were told - not a problem. I expressed concern that we would have to wait all day to get in and that's exactly what happened. We finally got in at almost 2 and were charged 100 plus all of the additional taxes added to the 100. so in total 112 dollars for 2 hours. No thanks. We would have wanted to come back if the booking was better.

Yelp
Highly recommend this distinct new lodging brand in Palm Springs. It's like teleportation to a private hacienda when you enter their thoughtfully surrounded courtyard. The minimalist esthetic brings on the Baja mindset almost instantly. Rooms are massive, roomy, well appointed and elevate well beyond the expectations at this price point. Style is a Mexican+Scandinavian+Japanese fusion. Location makes it perfectly walkable to anything central. Highly recommend.
