I was so disappointed with the food. It was overpriced, overcooked, and soggy. I got the potatoes with crème fraîche and caviar. That was at least warm. But, there were 5 pieces on potato and 1/2 teaspoon of caviar for $22! I then ordered a garden salad with chicken. They obviously forgot about my salad. Then, the salad came in a cheap wooden bowl instead of on a plate. It had super dry, unseasoned chicken that was a mealy texture when you chewed it. The chicken was clearly reheated from a cold breast dusted with a measly amount of cheese. The salad was 2 cups of wilted spring greens, chopped cherry tomatoes, six pieces of cold roasted carrots, and about 1/2 cup of pickled shallots. It was DRENCHED in vinaigrette. Like all I could taste was vinegar. I had to pick out greens that were rotten from the bottom of the bowl. I honestly think the salad was supposed to have olives and something else. They took the menu so I couldn’t check. I figured the chicken was dry because they forgot about it. I had to ask for my salad 30+ minutes after I ordered it. So, I explained the chicken was very dry and asked for a new breast. NO! The second was almost as bad but at least it was warm. When you pressed it hard you didn’t even get moisture from it. It didn’t even come with replacement cheese. Since I was there on a Sunday when the main restaurant is closed, I believe that they prep things like chicken breast on Saturday for Sunday and Monday. I expect WAY better for a salad that cost me like $25 where I was hungry afterwards. The wine list was ok but overpriced. In total. I paid over $100 for dry chicken, old, soggy greens, 5 pieces of potato, a little bit of caviar , 1 generic glass of white wine, and an espresso (that they ALSO forgot about and I had to ask for it twice). I had to eat more when I got home. I’m not a big person, and I count my calories. I don’t want to go back.
