The Best Bars With Fireplaces in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"The plush couch in front of the fireplace in 1 Hotel’s plant-filled lounge is the perfect place to post up on rainy days. Technically, you could take a seat at Drift’s bar top, but the lobby chairs are more comfortable. You can enjoy cocktails infused with local flavors such as pine needle and reishi mushroom tinctures, paired with a charcuterie board or veggie croquetas. The pile of books on the coffee table invites you to stay even longer. Even if you don’t land the coveted front-row fireplace seat, cozy nooks aplenty await, each surrounded by rugged wood end tables and an abundance of greenery that brightens the gray season. Pro tip: You can also order breakfast or lunch from Drift Bar and lounge any time of the day." - Alicia Erickson

Enjoyable breakfast in a comfortable setting with pricing that sits above the value delivered. The eggs benedict was excellent and stands out among Seattle options. At nearly $100 for two guests with coffee for breakfast, the experience feels best suited for those using a hotel credit inside 1 Hotel Seattle.

Drift is a hidden gem tucked into the first floor of 1 Hotel Seattle. We stopped in not knowing exactly what to expect and were genuinely impressed. The space feels upscale but relaxed — a great atmosphere for both casual dining or a stylish drink at the bar. We shared a few dishes, and everything was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. The beet hummus platter with pita and veggies was simple but flavorful and really fun to snack on. The shrimp wellness bowl was bright and well-balanced, with great textures from the grilled shrimp, quinoa, and crisp greens. The burger and fries? A hit. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right — definitely a solid go-to if you’re craving something hearty. The drinks were on point, and the plating across the board showed real attention to detail. Service was friendly and chill — not rushed, but very attentive. We’re currently staying at the 1 Hotel, and having Drift right downstairs has been such a bonus. It’s a stylish little spot that delivers solid food, great drinks, and a laid-back vibe right in the heart of the city. We’ll absolutely be back.

One of my fav places now! Good cocktails, decent food It’s a bit pricey but it’s in a fancy hotel so I think makes sense.

My family & I came to Drift for a delightful Mother’s Day lunch on its very first weekend open. We were wonderfully impressed with the delicious dishes- all so fresh tasting & primarily locally sourced. The ambience is so nice with a focus on natural elements. The staff (Sasha & Jordan) went above & beyond taking care of us & making divine drinks, some even on the house. We live nearby so we’ll definitely be going back again & it will probably become a monthly staple for us cause of the high quality of the food, calm environment, and fair prices. Thank you so much & welcome to the neighborhood. We’re happy you’re here. 🌹

Ended up at Drift for drinks after dinner when we made it back to the hotel. We sat at the bar and had some awesome cocktails from Leo! Tyler was also great. Would definitely come again. Try the Puget Fog!

I was so disappointed with the food. It was overpriced, overcooked, and soggy. I got the potatoes with crème fraîche and caviar. That was at least warm. But, there were 5 pieces on potato and 1/2 teaspoon of caviar for $22! I then ordered a garden salad with chicken. They obviously forgot about my salad. Then, the salad came in a cheap wooden bowl instead of on a plate. It had super dry, unseasoned chicken that was a mealy texture when you chewed it. The chicken was clearly reheated from a cold breast dusted with a measly amount of cheese. The salad was 2 cups of wilted spring greens, chopped cherry tomatoes, six pieces of cold roasted carrots, and about 1/2 cup of pickled shallots. It was DRENCHED in vinaigrette. Like all I could taste was vinegar. I had to pick out greens that were rotten from the bottom of the bowl. I honestly think the salad was supposed to have olives and something else. They took the menu so I couldn’t check. I figured the chicken was dry because they forgot about it. I had to ask for my salad 30+ minutes after I ordered it. So, I explained the chicken was very dry and asked for a new breast. NO! The second was almost as bad but at least it was warm. When you pressed it hard you didn’t even get moisture from it. It didn’t even come with replacement cheese. Since I was there on a Sunday when the main restaurant is closed, I believe that they prep things like chicken breast on Saturday for Sunday and Monday. I expect WAY better for a salad that cost me like $25 where I was hungry afterwards. The wine list was ok but overpriced. In total. I paid over $100 for dry chicken, old, soggy greens, 5 pieces of potato, a little bit of caviar , 1 generic glass of white wine, and an espresso (that they ALSO forgot about and I had to ask for it twice). I had to eat more when I got home. I’m not a big person, and I count my calories. I don’t want to go back.

Yelp
I've been excited to see when you'd be open! The ambience is breathtakingly beautiful, from the entrance to the restaurant/dining lounge. Aesthetics are a 5-star as well as functionality and comfort of the furniture. I LOVE the decor. Service was a little slow but likely due to being the first day open - the kindness and generosity makes up for it. The lunch offerings were perfect: a little something for every style (with vegan and seafood options as much as meats). Everything was delicious, and filling. I am so happy to see a new beautiful space to hangout before yoga at DRYP across the walkway. Right on time for spring, and new beginnings!

Yelp
The service was really great here! Very attentive and helpful. The ambiance was really lovely as well. I would come back just to hang out and read on their covered and heated patio in the rain. Really fun modern islands Bali vibes. The drinks were unique and interesting. My partner enjoyed his drink and appreciated the richer espresso flavor. I thought might was ok but maybe a little too salty and acidic overall. The food menu was kinda meh for us (not too many vegetarian or vegan options). I'd probably try something else next time but would definitely recommend!

Yelp
The restaurant is small, airy, earthy, and overall pretty. The service was good in the servers tried to work all the tables. They had a busy morning. Coffee came out strong, refills had to be prompted and vanilla oatmeal latte was standard. Breakfast combined with the aesthetics of the restaurant was good. But was breakfast overall was OK. We had two smoothies, omelette, lemon ricotta, pancakes, eggs, your way plate and a breakfast sandwich with a side of bacon. It was a standard good breakfast. I would recommend everything that we had except for the ricotta pancakes. I'm not sure if it was because it was gluten-free. The pancakes were dry and the flavors did not blend together. The total bill equaled dinner night out for two people in Seattle, pricey. It's a good experience to have if you're staying in the hotel. And maybe to drop by if you want to check out the aesthetics of the hotel and have breakfast. But there are many other breakfast places in Seattle that are pretty tasty. Overall, the we enjoyed eating there just because it was fun and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. A very comfortable and pretty environment.
