Drifters in Quincy is a gem — a great bar and restaurant with a spectacular ambiance. The atmosphere strikes that rare balance between lively and relaxed, perfect for a casual night out or a proper dinner. The sausage and ricotta pizza with roasted red peppers and confit garlic was outstanding — crisp crust, creamy ricotta, and just the right kick of spice. The turkey pot pie croquettes were rich, savory, and packed with comforting flavor. Drinks were crafted with care and complemented the food perfectly. Drifters delivers on every front — quality, flavor, and experience.

Google
Loved Drifters! It's gorgeous inside and a perfect addition to Quincy Center! Found via an Off The Beaten Path Food Tour, we loved the breakfast tots and tempura beans as well as delicious drinks. Can't wait to come back and try the pizza and smash burgers. Highly recommend!

Google
Great spot. A bit hard to find a parking spot around. The cocktail menu is decent. I had Hands of the wheel and it was fantastic. Drifter burger is fantastic; moist, buns were soft and fresh, the spicy fries came out hot and crispy. We will be back!

Google
Drifters is a solid spot! Food was great and the staff was super friendly. Roni pizza with hot honey and jalapeños is numero uno. Visited there having drinks solo, and also took fam for brunch and dinner. Great time, every time. Highly recommended!

Google
I finally had the chance to try this new spot after it took over Idle Hour, and we were impressed! They’ve really brightened up the space, giving it a more welcoming and less moody atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel well taken care of. We shared the crab rangoon dip and also tried the cheese pizza, wings, and burger—all of which were delicious. My partner had the burger and loved it; he said it was juicy with great flavor, and the aioli sauce was a nice touch. If you're into smash burgers, this is a solid choice. The crab rangoon dip was definitely the standout dish for us, and I’d highly recommend it. Everything came out quickly and tasted great. The only suggestion I have is to ease up on the salt in some dishes, but overall, it’s a cool place!

Google
The smash burger is PHENOMENAL! Loved the tempura zucchini fries and kale caesar as well. Need to try to pizza it looks amazing. Vibes were great, cocktails were on point. Will be back regularly!

Google
There was a female brunette bartender who accused my husband of taking pictures of her when he was with mr, bc we’d were visiting from out of state and they clearly are not friendly to people traveling. I have never been more insulted or disrespected with my spouse. As an influencer and someone who loves to tag and leave good reviews I highly recommend NEVER coming here. They are not friendly to outsiders and their customer service is awful. And their oyster sucks, made me sick. Don’t eat them !!!

Google
This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and it definitely won’t be my last! The beer was ice cold, the wings were delicious, and the smash burger was fantastic. Our waitress was spot on—friendly, attentive, and quick. I’d absolutely recommend giving this place a shot!

Yelp
Drifters is an absolute must try for anyone living in or around the Quincy area. Great food, great ambiance & even better people. They have in my opinion the best burger on the south shore with plenty of other great food options as well. Great spot for Saturdays & Sundays during football season too. Highly recommend 10/10.

Yelp
This was such a great place to grab dinner on a Saturday night! This restaurant opened a few months ago back in February this year so my husband and I were interested in checking it out. When you walk in, the place is clean with an inviting atmosphere. There is a good amount of seating along with a huge bar. We were able to sit in one of there booths which was very comfortable. For the food, it is mainly American with a few Italian options. My husband got the Drifter Burger, I got the Maine Dog and we got the Roni Pizza to share. The hot dog was very flavorful with its toppings and trying my husband's burger, it was very tender with a great sauce. The shoestring style fries they both came with...to die for! They were so excellently seasoned. And for the pizza it was such a nice combination of sweet and savory with a crispy thin crust. The portions were great as well and the food came out quickly. Overall delicious! They also have a brunch menu on the weekends as well just so you know too. The server we had was very friendly and always checked in to make sure we were doing okay. Thank you to all of the staff for a great meal and experience!

Yelp
Grabbed drinks here with a friend on a Saturday night and wow was it busy! There was live music when we first walked in so the ambiance was quite loud... like I could barely hear myself let alone hold a conversation. The place itself was small too so the music really overpowered everything. But once the live music wrapped up the vibes were good! Not too loud that I was screaming over it, but still lively. I got the Heart of Stone which was delicious! Not too sour or sweet, but was definitely a strong cocktail. I had 3/4 of it and I was already feeling it. My friend got an Old Fashioned and she was a big fan! It went down quite smoothly and tasted good too. For $14 a drink, it was a little pricy but honestly I've seen places in Boston charge more. I would recommend coming here to grab drinks but maybe not a spot to catch up because of how loud it was. Would love to try their food as it looked pretty good!

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink and hang with friends. Great sport for hanging out. But if you get a pizza, just lick a salt brick instead. Good lord lol couldn't have more than one slice. It's bar pizza which makes sense but if you dunk it in the ocean it's basically the same thing. Skip the pizza until further notice

Yelp
Delish! This is one of those new-age modern gastropubs that seem to be popping up everywhere these days. Its got the funky menu, cute decor and good vibes all around! My girlfriends and I came in for dinner on a Friday night. We started with the crab rangoon dip and it tasted just like a deconstructed crab rangoon! I couldn't stop eating it and still wanted more when we were done... For my entree, I ordered the Drifters burger with spicy ranch fries. It was a smash burger that tasted just like a bigger/better restaurant version of a big mac! The shoe-string fries were good too, but they did not taste like "spicy ranch." They just tasted like well-seasoned fries. Regardless, I would definitely order this meal again! My Drifters martini and espresso martini were fantastic as well. The menu felt a bit limited (3 entrees?) but perhaps that will change over time. If you're as old as I am and remember when this location was Sarsfields Pub, I would recommend checking it out :)

Yelp
The service was great. The ambiance was good. The Chicken Pot Pie croquettes were good, however, as a shared appetizer I would serve 4 instead of 3. I ordered a pizza which was tasty, but too short on the amount of cheese abd basil for a Caprese pie. I will probably return and try something else.

Yelp
I'm gonna have to apologize for not taking a picture but when I get my food sometimes I'm so hungry. I just can't do it. I just forget until it's too late this beautiful inside a lot of space for big TVs to watch all the games super inviting they even had a guy playing live music for quest for about four hours. Really enjoyed it. I got the steak tips with fries and mixed greens. Steak tips were great cooked perfectly great taste fries were fine. I would definitely tell anyone to go back the cocktails look delicious. I don't drink so I don't know for sure but everyone seem to enjoy them. There was at least four bartenders on And a lot of staff so very well ran I would recommend anyone in the area.

Yelp
Stopped in last night for a couple drinks and light bites and overall, it's a solid place. At 5:30pm, there was already a 40-minute wait for a table on a Friday. Stuff we ordered: *Oysters - Excellent, fresh and briny! *Buffalo chicken pizza - Pizza was so thin, I would actually describe it more as a cracker and the buffalo sauce definitely had a nice kick. Beware if you can't take the heat but we really enjoyed this. *Zucchini fries - These were good and best described as more like a tempura. *Tuna tartare - I didn't have any set expectations on how it would it look like coming out but when it did, it looked like a few bites on a chip and not very memorable. I would probably pass on this the next time I'm back. Very casual spot with sort of a retro ambience and service was friendly and welcoming. They also have dollar oysters Sunday - Wednesday I believe so I shall be back to slurp at a discount ;)

Yelp
You should go here! Really pleased with my experience. The service was really great and attentive. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday but still easy to get a table. I don't think they take reservations. The food was very yummy. They do smash burgers! And the cocktails are great. Most importantly though, it was well priced. Cocktails were $13, burgers were around $15 and we shared some oysters which were only $1/per (they have this price quite a few days throughout the week). It's only street parking but there's a $1/hour parking garage right next to it so it's very accessible.

Yelp
This is such a cute little restaurant in Quincy center. Our waitress was super kind and raved about the burger being the best one she's had, so we ordered it and wasn't disappointed.

Yelp
My partner and I shared a half-dozen $1 oysters, drifter burger, steak frites au poivre, and fig, pig, arugula pizza - TASTE: 4/5 - what we liked: the drifter sauce in the burger, peppercorn-crusted steak, dijon mari pepper & cognac dream sauce to dip the fries in, and the salty bacon lardon on the pizza. Now I typically love fig, goat cheese, and arugula pizzas, but the fig spread/honey drizzle on this one was way too sweet, even for me! Made it hard to want to eat TEXTURE: 4/5 - the shoestring fries had great texture & were addicting to eat, and the steak was tender and fatty. The pizza was thinner and crisper than I expected, again wasn't my favorite. Wish the burger's smash patties were more smashed w a crisper crust PRICE: 4/5 - love $1 oysters. The steak entree was expensive at $34. Total came to $92 SERVING SIZE: 3/5 - wish there was more steak in my dish SERVICE: 4/5 - tried walking in once before and was sad the wait was 45min. We learned this time lol, made an online reservation an hour earlier, and arrived at 6pm on a Wednesday. Our waitress was attentive, and food started coming out 15-20min after ordering ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - different vibe than the former Idle Hour space w a neon sign, large mural, "green" ceiling, and good playlist. Unfortunately, we just missed the live musician who was setting up as we were leaving PARKING: 4/5 - couldn't find a street spot on Hancock St. Glad that Kilroy Square Garage nearby has $1 parking

Yelp
Review for Drifters Bar & Kitchen - Quincy, MA We stopped into Drifters Bar & Kitchen for a casual lunch, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming ambiance and stylish, relaxed vibe made us feel right at home. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing -- a perfect balance. We started with the lemon pepper chicken wings, and I can honestly say they were the best lemon pepper wings I've had in my life -- perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just the right punch of flavor. Absolutely addictive. For our entrees, our son had the grilled cheese with fries, and not only did it look delicious, but he also cleaned his plate -- something that rarely happens. My wife and I both ordered the smash burger with fries, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right -- the kind of burger that reminds you why classics are classics when done right. Even though we were pretty full, we decided to try the beignets for dessert because everything else had been so good -- and they did not disappoint. Light, warm, and dusted with just the right amount of sugar, they were the perfect sweet finish to the meal. All in all, Drifters delivered on food, service, and ambiance. We're already looking forward to coming back -- whether for lunch, dinner, or just some more of those incredible wings.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner on the way out of the city. Very serviceable bar and bar menu for just outside the city in the suburbs. Food was good. Service was okay. Location was convenient.

Yelp
Chayne, our waitress was great! Super helpful, informative, and friendly. She checked in a lot. The drinks were delicious. Service was great- from the hostess, bar, to our table service. The food was great - we started with the zucchini fries, so flavorful! We had the roni pizza & the burger with the homemade chips -- both were so good. We will 10/10 be back! The owner came over more than twice to check in. Awesome spot in Quincy!

Yelp
Where to start. Drifters is a fun place with a great atmosphere. Our server was great and made menu recommendations. I had the smash burger and my wife had chicken wings with a side of green goddess ranch. Overall a great meal. Thanks!

Rachel G.

Yelp
When Drifter's first opened, it was hard to get a reservation at my desired time. Now, it's the opposite. What changed and why so quickly?? When I walked in, the place was empty. I was slightly concerned given they have TV's and the Patriots game was on, I figured it would be lively. I was hesitant to stay, especially given that I was celebrating my birthday with my family and was hoping for a good vibe. I wish I trusted my instincts. Other than the burger, the food was not good. The pizza was as thin as a cracker (this was beyond thin crust). We had the fig/pig one and it was terrible. The entire pizza was covered in a fig jam. All you could taste was this overpowering sweetness. We all tried one piece and could barely finish it. The Bloody Mary was entirely ice, we may have gotten 5 sips out of it. I feel like this place has potential, it looks decent inside. But there's so many misses. A cocktail with Powerade as an ingredient? What are you doing? The fact that your server recommended it (I did not order), basically tells me I can make a cocktail from ingredients at a gas station. Lastly, I indicated it was my birthday on my reservation and there was zero mention of it upon arrival or by our server. You had an empty restaurant and you couldn't even acknowledge a special occasion? There's so many places in the area that are a better experience from all angles. Unless there's a big adjustment here, I couldn't imagine being back. Super disappointing.

Yelp
Came here for the first time to check it out. We got cocktails - the espresso martini and above the clouds. Both drinks were out of balance. I didn't understand what I was tasting. I'd only come here for the vibes but the drinks and the food, saw what was being serve, looked average.
google avatar

Kasey H.

Yelp
Fresh duxbury oysters, great drinks, great food. Haven't had a bad experience here yet. The service has been great and love the atmosphere!
google avatar

Yelp
We for there at 5;15 Wednesday night 9/11 there was one other couple eating and maybe three groups of 2 drinking at the bar. We ordered crab Rangoon app wich was ok. I got the steak tips. It's took them 1 1/2 hrs to make the food. Im not sure if this it's to make people drink more or if the ordered it's from down the street and door dash was backed up. The portion size was very small like they kept half of what they had delivered for the next customer. The waitress was nice and the place is nice. Probably better if you're a drinker and not coming for dinner with family. We also got a pizza and a smash burger. Pizza was dried out and Smashburger was OK not a place I would come back to again. Usually you want your customers to return more than once.

Yelp
Went here for the first time over the weekend and it was such a fun place to sit at the bar and grab an app and a pizza! The corn fritters and pepperoni pizza with hot honey were really good, and I recommend their ranch on the side. The place has really cool vibes, definitely a younger crowd for Quincy which is so welcome!! Looking forward to coming here more to watch games, etc!

Yelp
The food was great! We were in for a quick, impromptu stop on a deadline. Emma (our server) was attentive, welcoming, and very cognizant of and thoughtful about our time crunch. (Thank you!) My wife had the burger - it was really good. Well sauced, sizable, juicy and well-cooked. I had the Broccoli Raab and cheese melt sandwich. So many places drop a vegetarian meal on the menu that seems obligatory and like an afterthought. This was delicious - a true highlight. The broccoli was stewed(ish)? and had a lovely, creamy, spicy sauce. Wonderful sandich. Great vibe in the restaurant too. A mix of bar and chillout space. We went in the mid-afternoon so it was pretty quiet (to our liking). We've walked by in the evening and its been packed - for good reason.

Ellie P.

Yelp
MEL IS AMAZING! CRUSHED THE BAR! We came in as a last minute late group and she really was smooth and professional and fun!
google avatar

Morgan H.

Yelp
Cocktails and food super tasty!! Would definitely return! Asked our server if she prefers the chicken sandwich or chicken milanese, she said milanese and it was a great recommendation! The espresso martini was extremely strong for my taste, but if that's what you're into give it a go.
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
Great food , great decor and great atmosphere. The drinks were very good! They have a beautiful mural on the wall painted by a local artist. The place gives off a fun and relaxing vibe. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
WOW, we had such a great experience at Drifters this afternoon. Our party of 6 tried basically everything on the menu and it was all delicious! Very patient and kind staff and service. Can't wait to go back and try their weekend brunch! :) 5/5 stars

Sean V.

Yelp
This Is an extremely well executed concept. Small menu with excellent foods. Great cocktails. live music when we were there. wait staff was excellent. they need to replace the large window with one that is removable for when it's nice out Will be back here!
google avatar

Yelp
We checked out the spot that's taken over the location previously held by Idle Hour, the beloved neighborhood establishment precious to so many Quincy residents -- this new restaurant and bar Drifter's is serving pizza -- not that we have a shortage of that around here -- in nostalgic new digs that have kept some of the old Idle Hour charm. A full menu of cocktails, and a wine list, along with a small list of mocktails (3) round our this establishment, the kind of place where an old school video game like Ms Pac-Man wouldn't seem amiss. The cheese pizza is more like a snack-- very thin and with a highly cheesy ratio that reminded us of old school pizza like Ellio's. We got the kale caesar since we love Pearl & Lime's even though I don't like kale- this one was a larger portion with spring mix and spinach and leaves and tasted more like a true kale salad so I wouldn't get again. Looking forward to trying more on their menu because the burger, steak, etc looked good on other people's plates.

Brittany S.

Yelp
House burger with a gf bun was amazing! Great flavor! Kids eat free on Mondays too! Fries were also good
google avatar

Steven B.

Yelp
Duxbury Oysters were delicious. Great crab rangoon dip and solid beer menu. Great pub

Ant G.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, nice crowd, it ticks all the boxes. The only box it doesn't tick is the chicken sandwich. The chicken itself is doused in some kind of sauce (which tastes pretty nice) but it renders both of the buns a sloppy mess. I stained a pair of my favorite shorts eating this sandwich, because every bite there is shit falling out of this sandwich that you can hardly hold. I cut it in half to make it more manageable, but that ended up making it even more unmanageable, and then I had to use my fork and knife to eat it. The plants hanging from the ceiling also aren't real plants. The moral of the story is it is a nice place to have some drinks and hang out, just don't get the chicken sandwich

Anthony Z.

Yelp
Went before Friday night dinner rush and had Fried Chicken Sandwich. Food and drink were great, attentive servers, fierce air conditioning. A little confused by the concept/vibe.

E _.

Yelp
Great food and great staff, but my third visit was ruined with super loud live music. The place is cozy and small not sure why you need to amplify a guitar and vocals or have it at all during dinner time where friends meet and want to talk and socialize especially after working from home. It was early enough that there was no need for a concert. On top of it, no one was clapping between songs, neither the manager nor the musician could read the room and lower the volume. It was difficult to talk and we were not able to hear our server. After a drink we decided to go somewhere else for dinner.

Cliff C.

Yelp
Awesome spot! Just what Quincy needed. Great food, great staff. Vibe was lively and fun.

Andrea D.

Yelp
Attentive and friendly staff. Nice ambiance and clean facilities. Definitely try the "Glamour Life" cocktail if you like mixed drinks.
