Drifters Tennessee Barbeque (BBQ) Joint

We stopped in here for a taste and cold drink with the Secrets Tour and wow these wings blew us away. My son is the one that likes spicy food and he loved the flavor. The Pineapple Cider was absolutely delicious and really tamed the spices down.

Went on a Sunday late afternoon, they had live music! At the recommendation of our awesome server, we shared Mac & Cheese with brisket on top, 1/2 rack of ribs (with creamy coleslaw, hush puppies & fries), a cold shandy (on tap) and a bushwhacker (like a Wendy's frosty with rum). Large portions! Only thing we didn't like; we were sitting outside and the flies were horrendous when our food arrived.

The atmosphere is relaxed and fun — perfect for a night out or a casual weekend hangout. The customer service was outstanding, and our server Rachel absolutely made the experience. She’s one of the most unique and memorable people I’ve met — kind, attentive, and rocking some beautiful tattoos that match her great personality. Her energy and service made the whole visit a 10 out of 10. If you’re looking for great BBQ, live tunes, and a true Nashville vibe, Drifters is the place to be.

This was my first time here and it was really good! My husband and I were on vacation and wanted to try something different. We found this cool little place and who doesn't love BBQ! Great music, service and food. It was also nice to see that clearly local people obviously frequent the place because they knew the staff by name, and everyone was very friendly, which you don't often see anymore. I love that. Our waitress/bartenders name was Ashley and she was great! As far as meat goes, I had BBQ brisket and it was so juicy and tender, it was delicious. My husband also had the BBQ brisket, as well as the pulled chicken and that was just as tender and juicy.

Half-rack with greens, slaw & macn-cheese. Ribs super,super tender. Enjoyed the hot/sweet sauce. I think they offered 4 or 5 different sauces. Would like to try all. Greens tasty. Mac-n-cheese OK. Ribs and sauce are the star! Yum!

This is not an exaggeration. Was visiting Nashville with friends looking forward to trying the bbq. I online order. It’s $28 (before delivery fees) and when it comes and I open it, I had friends blaming others that they farted, that’s how weird the meat smelled. Have had bbq in Texas, NC, Virginia, and SC, always liked never dealt with stench. Either way it would have been redeeming if at least something was good. Like brisket was shredded first off and bad. Somehow southern Mac wasn’t good (oh btw it comes in a tiny literal Dixie cup), the hush puppies were dry, and I got charged for sauces I didn’t even get. And when I tried to call to let them know, good luck! They literally don’t pick up and I challenge any one to be able to get them on the line. First one wins $10:)

Utterly fabulous fall off the bone ribs. The Mac and cheese was TO DIE FOR. Baked beans appeared to be basic pork n beans, BUT their looks were deceiving as their taste was definitely not run of the mill with a tanginess that I couldn't quite place but absolutely enjoyed. And the SERVICE was better than the food. Hands down would return here.

My first time trying Nashville BBQ. Different...needed a little more seasoning for my taste. My daughter loved her ribs and Mac. I had the pulled chicken plate = 4/5.
