"Established in 2017, Driftwood Coffee is all about choices. Customers can pick from locally or nationally roasted beans. There is a friendly vibe in the air. The flat white plain latte and the cappuccino are favorites. Some drinks allow the option of adding herbs like lavender to the mix." - Rudri Patel

Google
Super cute coffee shop with the right vibes to hang out or study or read or whatever you want! I will say, the coffee is SUPER expensive but very good. I enjoyed my latte and I want to try other items as well. The service was great; everyone is super friendly and nice and my drink was made quickly and correctly. I like how they took an old building in an older, historic part of town and really revitalized it and made it hip and trendy. This is a coffee shop you should definitely check out.

Got the cereal killer latte with oat milk. My husband and I both loved it! The girl at the counter was super helpful and friendly The area was clean The music played is nice and relaxing It’s a vibe!

**Latte**: Overall, it's enjoyable, though the sour notes might surprise some. **Show Low (Matcha)**: It brings to mind the delightful experience of indulging in mint chocolate, with a lovely touch of matcha flavour that adds a unique twist. **Atmosphere**: The atmosphere is genuinely relaxing, although it would be nice to have more seating options since there's only one sofa while others are chairs and high tables. The outdoor area has a charming vibe that's quite pleasant.

High quality coffee. Friendly baristas. Excellence pastries. Add the fruit loop milk to your drip coffee or latte, and try the blueberry lime pop tart.

We visiting in January 2025, to stop and get a good cup of coffee or seat there to enjoy it, if you have kids, next door it's a play area for kids, it dosn't belong to the coffee shop it belongs to a church, but you can enjoy that area, just watch out if its an event, you may be not allowed to use it, that it's a plus for our family, just enjoy the atmosphere, nice customer service and good coffee.

Located in the heart of old Town Peoria, this shop is clean, bright, inviting, and great seating area both indoors and outdoors. The barista made a lovely lavender matcha with whole milk and their donut was delightful, airy and fluffy. Def a place to get a quick drink or to hang out. For a donut and matcha peice was under $10, a true steal now a days. Will be back again. Thank you guys.

Google
I’ve been to Driftwood a few times and it is such a vibe! Pros: - Everyone loves a cute little coffee shop - They have a shaded playground, plenty of seating, and a grass area in the back making it a great place for moms and kids to get together. - Coffee and food are reasonably priced. Cons: - I’ve seen a few reviews commenting on the service, and I do have to agree that it’s not anything special or super friendly. Overall, I think this place is a gem and I will definitely come back. We need more places like this on this side of town!

Google
Ugh! I hate leaving bad reviews... We had such hope for Driftwood but it was just ok. The pour over was disappointing I think if the barista had a slightly different technique it would have been better. But minutes between pours left the coffee flat tasting. We did not enjoy it and ended up throwing it out. However, I enjoyed my house vanilla latte. We REALLY want to support West Side craft coffee so we will give it another shot. But this trip wasn't great.

Yelp
Always looking to have coffee dates with my husband as opposed to cocktail dates, we took a drive to this place and sat outside. The coffee was very good as was the pop tart pastry I treated myself to. Inside are a few tables and a couch. Nice place in old town Peoria.

Lily C.

Yelp
Driftwood coffee is a cute coffee shop. I got a vanilla latte, half sweet, with oat milk. They didn't have any decaf espresso sadly, so I got regular. The coffee was a little sour, and the hot cup seemed to dissolve after an hour and it ended up leaking. Had to throw the rest away. Overall, looks cute, but wasn't the best experience. Barista's were very nice though!

Yelp
One of my favorite nearby cafes! I brought a friend here one time and she was surprised that Glendale had this kind of trendy and chill spot. My iced chais are always on point and come with a little cinnamon stick! I really enjoy the drinks, but I mostly come here for the atmosphere. This is a great place for an affordable and tasty drink before studying!

Nay L.

Yelp
Driftwood is so cute and quiet. The neighborhood is exactly the same! Clean, quiet, down the street from the shop is a community center, behind the shop is a completely shaded play area with tables and chairs to lounge while the kids play. The area is almost complete fenced in which was my favorite part of the location. Haha the seasonal coffees are very creative. I tried, "The Remix" and to my delighted surprise, there were real peanuts in the bottom. The pastries are from a local bakery and very flavorful. Jacob, from Mystic Coffee in Gilbert is one of the roasters at this shop and then it made sense why the coffee itself was so good. Haha The handcrafted drinks take a little longer than your average coffee shop but will not disappoint.

Brandon Y.

Yelp
Super chill neighborhood coffee spot! Minimalist modern interior vibes. They had Nicaraguan Espresso and Guatemalan Drip options. A really cool place to just hang out. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Trinity H.

Yelp
My favorite local coffee shop. The coffee never disappoints, and the pop tarts if they have any definitely get one it's worth the money. The employees are so kind once I came in 5 minutes to closing (google hours said 9 but it's actually 8 I think) and they still were super kind and took my order even after I tried to leave. Overall just such a good place to come with friends or to sit and read a book:)!

Bre Y.

Yelp
The service, food and ambiance are all stellar. I love a barista who takes time to suggest their favorites & fan faves to make a great choice. They're super attentive and friendly. I love the seasonal options, all diverse flavor palettes. The poptart I had was sooo good! Who doesn't love a homemade poptart like come on! I thoroughly enjoyed my latte!

Abraham C.

Yelp
I'm currently doing my Master's degree and have been in search for a coffee shop in the west valley for some time. There are many great options in downtown Phoenix, but I sometimes don't have the time or energy to drive out. Additionally, there are very few coffee shops open late. Driftwood fulfilled both of those desires. Right in the heart of Peoria, it is 12 minutes away, and have the aesthetically pleasing and spacious environment of the hip coffee shops downtown. I ordered a seasonal cold brew and my wife a dirty chair and both drinks were delicious. The shop stays open until 9pm so there's plenty of time to study in the afternoon. Selfishly, I'd love to keep this place to myself, but a place this great deserves to be recognized! Give it a visit!

Bri J.

Yelp
Space has a nice vibe, and drinks were made timely. I ordered a drink with the Captain Crunch milk that sounded like it would be amazing, but it just wasn't that good. My friend felt like his coffee was also mediocre. So while you could enjoy the coffee shop, the drinks aren't epic.

Fraser E.

Yelp
Quaint shop. The barista was very friendly and had great suggestions. Would definitely come back

Chloe A.

Yelp
We have been coming to driftwood pretty consistently for about 2 years and its our favorite spot. Not super busy usually, nice location, great baristas, cute ambiance, awesome coffee and great matcha and specials.

Natasha A.

Yelp
Dominic provided excellent service, he was very friendly and knowledgable about the seasonal menu. I got the Cereal Killed iced. It was good and strong. They have inside seating and outside seating. They have a walk-up window, or you can order inside. Nice place in downtown Peoria.

Marisol L.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick coffee break between work and I have to say this is the best honey lavender latte I've ever had!

Erin Tevis T.

Yelp
Ambiance was great service was great. The only problem was this had to be the worst dirty chai latte I've ever had. The milk had to be expired because their was chunky stuff at the bottom of my coffee. The chai also tasted like a strong candle and almost chemical like definitely do not recommend.

Angela H.

Yelp
This is a cute lil place to grab coffee! This coffee shop is located along Jefferson Street in Old Town Peoria, and there's plenty of street parking available. There's a cute patio area outside and indoor seating if you want to sit and do work. The interior of the shop is a nice, clean, bright space with pieces from local artists and plants! I liked how they offered alternative milks and had an interesting seasonal menu. I ordered a Lake Havasu (a matcha latte with blackberry syrup and rosemary) and a chocolate chip cookie, both of which I enjoyed! The matcha latte was smooth and not too sweet, and the chocolate chip cookie was interesting with hibiscus petals inside (added an interesting fruity/sour taste when you got to it). I would come back here to grab coffee if I'm ever in Peoria!

Kaitlyn M.

Yelp
I visited Driftwood coffee on a Saturday morning after my typical coffee shop was closed. I initially chose this shop for the ambiance and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of coffee! The barista that greeted me was beyond kind and took the time to listen to what I wanted. The coffee was delicious. I can't wait to visit again soon!

Liliana A.

Yelp
If you ever catch yourself in the area, you have to try this place out! They are more on the side of speciality of coffee so you won't be getting any super sugary drinks but you would be getting a very tasty one. I love that they have an outdoor area and walk up. They also right around the corner, have a nice shaded playground for kids!

Ariella P.

Yelp
I have visited Driftwood Coffee many times now and usually enjoy my coffee. The space is clean, bright, and I love seeing the local art. Nice patio and a walk up window if you're joined by a four legged friend. Cute seasonal menu. They also get an interesting selection of mostly sweet baked goods. I've enjoyed their more savory pastry collection, when available. The most inconsistent thing here is the customer service. Don't get me wrong, I am not looking to share my life story with someone making my coffee, or vice versa. Some of the employees are friendly and make you feel welcomed. A few are pretty low energy and make you feel like an inconvenience. It is a shame, because it has swayed me from wanting to go here over other local coffee businesses close by who are more consistently kind. TLDR: come here for a good cup of coffee and if it is not too busy, some work space.

Paula C.

Yelp
I don't normally come to this side of town, but we came here for a welding class for my husband. I decided to treat myself to coffee while he was in his class. this is such a cute shop. I wish we had one on the east side of town. My daughter is visiting and loves macaroons so I got her some. Staff was friendly and I will definitely be back next time I'm on the side of town.

Vanessa R.

Yelp
I ordered an iced matcha latte, with vanilla syrup. It was so delicious. Matcha can be a hit or miss at some coffee shops. The aesthetic is pleasing & I love the high sealing plus the outdoor seating. The service was pleasant and quick, I will be returning.

Jami A.

Yelp
Besides the welcoming and tranquil space. The coffee is very delicious! Definitely going to be stopping by more often.

Alan N.

Yelp
Great place for a date or to do work. But I was not a fan of the coffee... it tasted really off. Maybe I had A bad batch but it tasted like dishwasher water

Grey R.

Yelp
This is the only coffee shop that I have ever been to that doesn't allow you to add extra shots to their carbonated drinks.... & the guy seemed very upset that I even asked.. my bad bro. I use to go to their other location Reap and Sow before they closed and it was never an issue there. Definitely miss their other location the employees there were always so helpful outgoing and just super kind. My drink was nice though love myself a good tonic.

Ali B.

Yelp
My original coffee plans to visit a coffee truck were foiled by the rain so I decided to take the opportunity to cross driftwood off my list! They lobby was temporarily closed for parts of the day today but you could still order at the window so I did that. Got my husband a caramel latte and myself a hot mole chai with oat milk. I definitely went back and forth on what to order because the seasonal menu looked especially amazing!! Baristas are really nice too. Our drinks were ready pretty quickly. That was one of the best chais I have ever had. Super flavorful and perfectly spiced, yum!! It's really cute here too, it's only been like an hour since I went and I have already recommended it to a couple people!

Adriana D.

Yelp
Stopped in for the first time yesterday on my way into work in Phoenix and was happily surprised by how good this coffee was. It wasn't very busy so I was in and out. Honestly better than most coffee shops in Phoenix and better pricing too.

Scott W.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try DRIFTWOOD COFFEE for quite some time. I really need to get out and explore downtown Peoria more. A lot more, actually. They're located right off Grand Avenue in the heart of downtown Peoria. Super convenient location. Plenty of ample parking across the street that's utilized for other businesses in the area. I went yesterday (01/23) and the walk up window was open, but the interior itself was closed. Not a big deal as they have plenty of outdoor seating if you need to relax or get some work done. There were actually quite a few people in line yesterday morning but the line moved quickly. The entryway and outdoor seating area is extremely clean and well organized. Menu is typical of most any other coffee spot. I went with the traditional iced vanilla latte. The 20 oz. gives you a caffeine induced head trip of (4) shots! Absolutely perfect for getting your morning started or if you've been in a coma the last few years and need a solid pick-me-up. My iced vanilla latte was silky smooth, flavorful and fresh as can be. Prices are also reasonable and on par with other coffee joints in the area. The service I received was friendly, prompt and professional. Highly recommended and a great local coffee spot perfect for my fellow Yelp'ers! #supportlocalbusiness

Yelp
Okay, maybe I am a little judgy, but I did not expect to find such a coffee shop near where we were in Peoria. My bad. While visiting my in-laws, I needed a place to park and work. Driftwood was everything that I hope for in a coffee shop: local vibe, outdoor seating, workspace, strong wifi, good service, and yummy eats. Special props to the staff who were super gracious when they had to close early and ask us all to leave. No hard feelings. I will def be back!

Alan Q.

Yelp
Matcha is not good, and flavor of the speciality matcha was not pleasant. Uncomfortable seating, wobbly chairs, and not a very aesthetic environment. Service was ok, but nothing great. Would prefer a starbucks over this.

Vianca H.

Yelp
Driftwood coffee is a little cafe in the heart of Old Town Peoria. It's close to the Peoria library, Peoria Theater, and other local attractions. They offer super reasonably priced high quality pastry's and drinks. Our visit was on 11/23/21 we arrived in the evening to find fresh pastries ready. Our barista made it sound as if they get a variety of different treats maybe 2 times a day and sometimes it's different items. Our barista recommended the prickly pear croissant muffin and the home made pop tarts. We decided on 1 prickly pear croissant muffin, 1 corn bread muffin, 1 blue raspberry lemon zest pop tart, & 1 pumpkin pop tart. I also ordered a hot small matcha oat latte. The prickly pear croissant muffin was so delicate and fluffy. It was buttery and flaky. I'd highly recommend. I haven't had such a delicious pastry in such a LONG time. I was super impressed. I also have NEVER had my matcha latte hot before, and it was perfect. Especially since the weather was so gloomy and it sprinkled. The pop tarts also shot up in my books as some of the best pastries, making curious to experiment to make my own at home. These were truly so delicious. These treats were the perfect amount of sweet and savory. It's literally right up the street, I think I have found my new spot! Check out my IG for full video content review and other video reviews of local spots! @v_v_s_9696 UPDATE/EDIT 12/2: I found out that the baked goods are not made in house. They are delivered fresh from SUSS PASTRIES. It is a locally owned and operated by Jasmin Smith. Check their Instagram below! These are hands down the best pastries in the Valley. https://instagram.com/susspastries?utm_medium=copy_link Thanks y'all! Cheers, enjoy!!

Yelp
Returning to this hidden gem in the historic district of old Town peoria az is refreshing. I came across their barista who is pleasant, personable and knowledgeable with a service oriented attitude. She helped craft my order.

Rosalba V.

Yelp
The coffee was fresh and if you enjoy the taste of coffee, this is the spot for you. They also have delicious treats from Suss bakery and their place is super chill.

Sadie L.

Yelp
FABULOUS coffee in a cool location. The espresso blend is amazing, what a flavor explosion in my mouth! I loved it. Served in really cool ceramic mugs if you wanna ditch the paper cup (highly recommend). Almond milk latte was my order and I had to restrain myself from ordering multiples... Instead I came back the next day and had one there and caved and got one for the road! A must try in the area - there is no other better coffee shop nearby.

Josh M.

Yelp
Killer specialty coffee! Best drip in the valley. Fantastic knowledgeable staff with great service. local artists featured on the walls as well!

Anna G.

Yelp
I wanted to take the time to make an update and thank Luke for his response to my initial review. It cleared up the concerns I had. I admit that we visited very early and I couldn't remember some of the details from when I reviewed this page in the days prior. That said, I still can't help feeling underwhelmed. I am not against visiting again in the future but will not be going out of my way to come back.

Taylor S.

Yelp
Super cute atmosphere. The cinnamon stick in the chai was a nice touch. We also had a tomato kale scone that was delicious. Very friendly staff.

Gna K.

Yelp
Enjoyed our coffee and burrito. The honey lavender latte was delicious. My son got a shredded beef burrito and really enjoyed it. Very quiet vibe inside with a lot of people in their working. Nice staff and the art was beautiful.

Ben H.

Yelp
Driftwood coffee. Finally, we have met. It has been on my Yelp favorites list for approximately two years and it feels Oo so good to scratch it off. It's located in the heart of downtown Peoria and it appears to be nucleus of downtown, but take that for what it's worth. The next most intriguing business in downtown Peoria is Napa Auto Parts. The downtown area is prosaic to say the least. Driftwood coffee is truly a gem though and can easily compete with other top valley coffee shops. It's radiant, hipster vibes make it a great coffee shop to chill and read at. They use Mythical coffee, which is roasted in Gilbert. The coffee is light with interesting undertones. I believe I tasted a little churro flavor in my cup? I ordered the Testal burrito as well, which was a little tiny. Could have easily had 2. The breakfast menu is limited but the pastries looked dynamite. I'll likely choose a pastry next visit.

Michelle N.

Yelp
I am not much of a coffee drinker, but I met some friends here to chat with. When driving through the neighborhood I didn't quite know what to expect but it is so cute!! I got an iced mocha and it was great! If I was in that are again I would definitely stop in! The menu is smaller than I expected but I'm definitely not a coffee pro so I was completely happy.

Ashley D.

Yelp
It doesn't look like much when you come up to it and unfortunately, it's like that when you come in. The other sad thing was the menu was very small. However, they had a few homemade goodies like homemade pop tarts. We didn't try any of those but they looked good. My son had a hot chocolate and it may have been the best that I've ever tasted. The chocolate taste was not the fake taste like from a packet but it tasted like they actually melted high quality chocolate and blended with milk. The coffee was good but the hot chocolate was the best drink out of the 3 we got.

Rachel R.

Yelp
Love this place. Came with a big group for a team outing and they were super helpful and accommodating. The baristas Jacob and josh were so kind and super patient with us.

Mark P.

Yelp
This place is located in old Town Peoria , I ordered the large iced mocha and it cost 7.70 .

Devon O.

Yelp
Very nice aesthetically pleasing coffee shop, highly recommend! super nice staff, great coffee selection, will definitely go back again

Kyle A.

Yelp
Not bad, good small coffee shop with tables and chairs. Very simple set up. Coffee is okay. Had to wait an extra 15 min for my drink due to an espresso machine exchange. Good place to get work done if you're looking for a cozy spot.

Adriana M.

Yelp
Firstly, the vibe in this place is stellar, great place to study or for a meeting. The coffee is great, the espresso is obviously a craft to the people who make it. It isn't often you taste the passion in a good cup of joe and the baristas here not only seem to love making these drinks, but love interacting with their costumers. If you want a cool spot to unwind, and get a consistently good cup of coffee, go to Driftwood.

Gabriella K.

Yelp
Beautiful local coffee stop with delicious and unique coffee's. They've got great seasonal items too! I tried their Mole Chai -which as a Mexican was surprised as to how you get mole in coffee. I'm glad I tried it because it was so good! There is a community playground in the back with fire pits, plenty of seating, and bbq grills! Perfect for kiddos or bringing your puppy! They do not offer pup cups

Adam B.

Yelp
As any officeless entrepreneur knows finding the perfect coffee shop to sit and relax in that has A) Really Good coffee and B) An atmosphere that encourages feeling hip and comfortable to knock out that next assignment is next to impossible. Growing up less than 5 minutes from this location makes this place that much more of a gem. It's modern but the coffee is tried and true....with guest brewers and a coffee bean roast that is hands down one of the best I've had. I travel for work and pretend to be super knowledgeable about more than I actually am...but this will be one of my Home spots when I'm in town. The Honey Lavender Latte I had was so good I was actually worried about drinking it too fast. If you support local quality spots this needs to be at the top of your list. Get off your dirty couch and come get some coffee and wake up to the beauty around you in old town Peoria!

Curt L.

Yelp
To sum it up, worst coffee experience of my life, unfortunately. Just moved here and wanted a nice hole in the wall coffee shop. Took 52 minutes to pump out a 'breakfast shot' (that's a shot of espresso and some other bs) and a pumpkin spice latte. It was just a terrible way to start an early Sunday morning, very off putting.

Mishel D.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with something for everyone. Pastries change daily and are delicious. Good coffee and chai options too. My favorite part about the coffee shop is the playground next door!

D. M.

Yelp
When I'm in Peoria, I visit here and 808 Social for coffee. Nothing against 808 Social; it's great, but I think I prefer here. It's no muss, no fuss here. Now, my coffee everywhere in the world is just regular coffee with milk, so not a lot of artistry needed by a barista with that order. As long as the coffee is fresh and the milk isn't spoiled, everything is pretty much copasetic. My coffee needs are basic, and this place suits me.

Steph C.

Yelp
I came here for the first time over the weekend. I was excited to try the coffee, the menu is very simple. No food options which I thought there was food from previous posts. There was 3 pastries in the case, they didn't look appetizing so I skipped on it. My friend grabbed one of the fancy pop tarts and she enjoyed it, i believe it was date and brown sugar. I ended up getting a latte that has captain crunch on top. It tasted like espresso with milk, it's from the seasonal menu (cereal killer) definitely nothing spectacular about it but the drink was satisfying. The place is neat, quiet place to work or study. They didn't have anything kid friendly, they have a lemonade on the menu but they didn't have the other ingredients so my girls grabbed regular lemonade. The portions are small and come with a hefty price tag of almost $5 for a plain lemonade. There is playground outside in the back, which is why we wandered into the coffee shop, I think it's a big mistake not banking on this opportunity. While the coffee shop is not necessarily geared towards families or small kids being that there's a playground steps away, you can make money having items that appeal to them. My kiddos enjoyed the playground, it's covered, there's fans and a lot of seating great place to grab an coffee with a friend and let the kids run around. Again, the menu is very simple not a lot of choices, we left rather quickly because the kids were hungry. Service was fine, the young man at the register was friendly, I did repeat myself a couple times but no biggie.
