The Best Places for Afternoon Tea in and Around Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"At Drink Me! Tea Room, tea time takes on a quirky, playful vibe with options like Tipsy Tea (cocktails included), French macarons, and Literary Tea — a book club-style gathering for tea-loving readers. For those who love to dress up, themed costume teas are a big draw, with events inspired by Harry Potter, Star Wars, or even Hamil-Tea for Hamilton fans. The spot is also known for accommodating dietary restrictions, offering vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly trays alongside their standard fare. Prices range from $42 to $64, and it’s more about the offbeat experience than just the tea — make sure to pre-reserve a spot." - McConnell Quinn

While we had a nice time and the service was good, the value proposition was overshadowed by the unexpected and, in our opinion, excessive tipping charges. We were particularly taken aback by being charged gratuity on the tea leaves we purchased to take home. A $32 tip for two people, including an additional $7 tip on retail items, felt out of sync with typical tipping expectations, especially given our final bill of $145 after a $60 deposit. I will admit I misread the website and thiught that the vegan gf was optional. It is not. The vegan and gluten-free options was better than expected but I would highly recommend the English Tea Room in Carefee over coming back here. The theme was fun and location lovely. Ultimately, the pricing and tipping policy will likely prevent us from returning.

Google
Amazing place, excellent service, Gluten free and vegan, but even if you aren't GF or Vegan do not be afraid to eat here. Many of the items taste as good if not better than those with dairy or Gluten. I've only been GF for a few years and was shocked at how good these items were. Also I'm not dairy free and could not tell the difference at all.

12/7/24: Short version - wonderful experience, stellar staff, fantastic cocktails, beautifully themed decorations. It can be pricey, and if you're not vegan or a fan of gluten-free items, you may be unwilling to give it a try ... but don't let that stop you. We had three people at our afternoon tea, and none of us are vegan; we still had a great two hours. Longer version - ** reservations are required ** I am writing this a month late, but whoa, the experience still resonates. My sister was visiting and we always do one "big" thing while she's here. This trip it was Drink Me! Their holiday theme was Alice in Wonderland, and boy did they go all out on decorations. Their cocktails were aptly named, presented well, and tasted so damn good. Every single one of them. Yes, some were better than others, but between the three of us, we tried every one of their special tea cocktails from the menu and no lie, all good! The menus are presented in old books (what a novel idea! pun intended), they compost 95% of their materials (food, napkins, paper cups, etc), the staff was on top of their game the entire visit, and every single one was uber-friendly (kudos to our main server, Nekiyah). As I said, none of us are vegan or have gluten issues. With regard to the food items, some were better than others. The mini sandwiches were very good and seasoned well, it was the dessert items that I would not go for again -- but that's because I am addicted to sugar. ;-) There was a wide variety and a couple of them were not horrible, but my experience / view regarding gluten-free dessert items has always been that they are dense and lack flavor. Despite that, the food tray had excellent presentation and the desserts were decorated in a way that you could tell the bakers took their time. All three of us walked out of Drink Me! saying "WOW, what a trip! Let's do that again." Our final bill, minus tip, was $209. It was worth every penny. There are different tiers for menu selections (we chose one of the upper tiers) so please don't let the cost deter you from trying Drink Me! It is a fun place, especially if you have a special occasion to celebrate.

Google
Had such a wonderful time, the selection of tea was the best I have experienced and it was served to perfection. The savories were delicious, the scone and bread were very tasty with the lemon curd and coconut cream and the deserts were delicious. Treat yourself to a cocktail or mocktail as well. Service and ambience were wonderful!

Awesome place. The food and tea were excellent, we also had adult beverages which were delicious. The tea room is beautifully decorated. I highly recommend Drink Me and if I was local would return routinely.

Google
Starts at $48 a person, requires a $30 per person deposit at time of reservation. We really enjoyed the Pressecco flight for $21, they were full-size pours. Pot of tea for each person, lots of yummy, gluten free and all natural tea cakes and sandwiches.

Google
Very interesting place. A bit pricey but definitely enjoyable if you're prepared for that in advance. When I saw this place on Google I didn't dig deeper and mistakenly believed it was similar to a coffee shop except that they serve a lot of different kinds of tea. It's actually more of a sit down type of place that you can order a pot of tea and appetizer-like things. Very similar to a place I had been to before near Vancouver/Victoria in Canada. You often need a reservation for a two-hour slot but they had an open slot of the two of us despite us not having a reservation. They have bundle deals that are quite pricey, but they allowed us to get a pot of tea for $11 and a few small menu items for a few dollars each, and were transparent about pricing in advance. I appreciated that a lot. We may go back at some point for one of the bundle deals.

Love this place. Thank you for being vegan and gf ! Perfectly brewed teas, savory sandwiches were awesome and the sweets are amazing. The place is very cute and welcoming. I only wish I lived closer! A must visit!

Yelp
Food: cute and delicious food options. I also really enjoyed that it was all vegan and gluten free. You can't find that too often for tea rooms Drinks: the tea was delicious Service: our server was so sweet, I wish I remembered her name but I do remember it being spelled in a unique way. She was very helpful Ambiance: cute place with Alice and Wonderland theme. Misc: expensive for what you get, but I do understand its allergen friendly so that costs more. Parking was easy.

Yelp
Looking for a tea party in the near future? Look no further than the Drink Me tea room on Warner Rd, Tempe, AZ -- it caters for all types of tea drinkers -- please read on! This tea room is great for parties I'd suggest as there's plenty of space for multiple parties of 4-6 persons -- and it seems quite relaxing with the decor. Customer service is exceptional with the staff aiming to please. I thought they were very conversational and they had an excellent understanding of the different teas selections. They have a terrific book which includes all the various teas on offer with descriptions of each-- very thought provoking. Their range of teas is also very good so I'm sure they'll have what your pallet demands. Incidentally the tea counter has a range of teas where you can smell and choose which one is the most appealing for you. One thing which I did find interesting is that the owners love the planet as they have a compost policy with local farmers so all of their waste goes back into go forms of fertilization. Parking is fine but it could be a challenge if you have a very large party. This business also has its own bakery next door where you can buy all sorts goodies-- make sure you try the scones before ordering your favorite tea! Lastly, tea is not just a chance to improve your sense of smell it's also extremely productive for health and wellness so I'd definitely recommend Drink Me! Tea room for all of the above reasons!

Yelp
I really appreciate that this place is gluten free and vegan. Reservations need to be made in advance as they do book up.quick. the reservations were a bit confusing on the options as there.were limited details of what each contained. We opted for the full experience. The place was cute and it came with two types of tea. Both teas were good I really liked the toffee apple. For the food it was nice but there were way fewer savory then sweets it was not well balanced. The items on the stand were pretty good but the desserts on the plate were heavy and lacked flavor.

Yelp
I went with some extended family for a Hamilton-themed afternoon tea, to celebrate being all together and a cousin's favorite musical. The service was incredibly friendly and whimsical. The decoration was very fun and included endless Easter eggs of the theme! They also allowed us to take a whiff of each drink's tea leaves before deciding which we'd like to do!

Yelp
Girlfriends and I thought it would be fun to attend drag bingo. We bought our tickets for $25 each, not knowing what to expect. There was a bit of confusion, as the website said 6:00 but the email confirmation said 5:30. Turns out that the doors open at 5:30, and bingo starts at 6:00. The$25 drag bingo ticket does not include any food or drinks. The best thing about this place is the really cute atmosphere. It's definitely got an Alice in Wonderland tea party kind of feel. There are lots of story books and rabbits and pretty teapots. There's a corner with wing chairs and a faux fireplace with some shelves. I fell in love with the stuffed Cheshire cat and wished I could have grabbed him and run. It's actually quite large it has plenty of seating. In the corner is a counter where you can order food and tea and cocktails. First let me say that none of the four of us noticed either on the website on our confirmation emails that this place is vegan. We didn't notice that it did say on the window that everything is gluten-free and plant-based until after we had ordered and tried our food. So that said, we all really did not like anything we ordered except the fruit tart. We ordered the chickpea crostini, the banana pudding, the shortbread cookies, a berry tart, and the little maple pastries. The textures were weird and the flavors were just not good. I usually love banana pudding and but I left the entire cup uneaten. We actually left pretty much everything uneaten except that berry tart. Cocktails were weak. I will say the staff was delightful--very friendly and helpful. And my iced tea was fine. I'm also sure that all the different teas are good. But none of the four of us are gluten-free or vegan, and this place was not for us.

Yelp
Drink Me! Tea Room in Tempe has a friendly and attentive staff, which made the experience pleasant. However, I found the prices to be a bit high for what was offered. The atmosphere felt a little cheesy and poorly put together, especially considering the cost. We went for the Harry Potter days and it was okay and offered some cute photos, but I wouldn't go back for the price. There was also an automatic gratuity added which I didn't think was necessary for a party of 2 people and the staff only had to come to our table a couple of times. I appreciated that the menu was entirely vegan, but many of the sweets lacked flavor or were dry. On a positive note, there was a good selection of mocktails, and the tea was tasty, which added to the overall experience. Overall it's a cute spot and the staff was friendly, but I expected more value for the price.

Yelp
I am a fan of afternoon tea so I knew I had to try Drink Me Tea Room out! I went with the kiddo and my friend who is a fan of Alice in Wonderland and we went down the rabbit hole to try some vegan delights with a pot of loose leaf. The interior is so adorable, with all the unique little Alice in Wonderland art and decor. Your check is even presented in an Alice in Wonderland themed book! Off we went down the rabbit hole! My friend and I had the full tea and the little one had the literary tea, which is a smaller selection of goodies. For those that don't want tea they also offer mocktails and cocktails. I chose my tea mainly because it had color changing properties. It was a vanilla green tea with blue pea powder. I could definitely taste the vanilla flavor and you squeeze some slices of lemon to make it change color. While I really enjoyed seeing the change in colors when adding the acid, with the amount of lemon juice I needed to add to change the color of the tea my cups ended up tasting more like hot lemon water with a hint of vanilla rather than tea leaves. The kiddo had an herbal tea which got a thumbs up from her. The selection of sweets and sandwiches is varied and while I appreciated that they were vegan, some were more well executed than others. Some of the sandwiches were a little too salty for my tastes and the tart, while delicious, had a super runny jam filling so it was hard to eat it without fruit goo running down your hands. Service was great and we were checked up on as needed. Overall this is a great option for afternoon tea. I'd definitely come here again. Details: - In the Great Harvest Bread/Garcia's/Verizon plaza - Reservations required (Sign up online) - Non refundable $20 deposit required with reservation and is deducted from your check after service - PRICING PER PERSON $58 Wonderland Full Afternoon Tea $40 Literary Tea(*) $45 Tipsy Tea (* and 1 cocktail) $36 Double Savory (no sweets) $36 Sweets Tray (no savories) - Special focus on sustainable, local, and organic products

Yelp
Great time, great service, food was good. The only thing I thought could be better was the bread. It' was dry. Other than that, it's an amazing place!!

Yelp
I wanted to love this place..but sadly I did not. This was my 5th high tea experience, the first was before I was even vegetarian. The other 3 experiences were in establishments that offered vegan options. I found Drink Me Tea Room on my last trip to AZ. It's within walking distance from my ex in-law's house. I saw that reservations are required, so did not make it over during that trip. Well when I knew that I would be heading back to AZ, I asked if my ex mother-in-law would like to go, my treat. She had never had a high tea experience. I was excited for her to try it out, and I didn't mention that it was vegan. I was really hoping for the food to be epic. I've been to places where the vegan options were delicious, and thought since this place was 100% vegan, that they would have some great creations. Maybe there could have been something I could have done to ensure that we would have enjoyed the food more. They brought out a book that included menus of the tea selection, cocktails and mocktails and food selections. Not sure if the foods not included in the standard offering was at an additional cost. I forgot to bring my reading glasses. I decided to trust what was the standard offering of food. We chose our tea, and we both received our individual pots of tea. And I will say that the teas were delicious. They didn't offer cream, but I asked if they had any, and there were several selections, I chose soy. There was a glass container with colorful sugar cubes. The bottom plate had the savory bites. There was a crostini with chickpea salad. Not very interesting..I make chickpea salad at home a couple times a month. There was a small container of diced cucumbers, diced croutons (?) balsamic dressing, cucumber cut in flower shapes with something on top, they were cute, but not flavorful. There were scones, no clotted cream or jams. There was a little bit of a sweet cream on middle plate, but didn't think to put on scone. The little chocolate cake with playing card was delicious as was the little pie or tart. I didn't care for the mushroom macaroons. The cookie with Eat Me on top were good while sipping tea. The ratio of sweets to savory was unbalanced with more sweets. This place was expensive. I paid $40 deposit and $67.60 at the end of our underwhelming experience. I believe that's typical of a high tea experience, but I don't think I got my money's worth.

Yelp
This is my second visit and it was again... fabulous from start to finish. We visited during Hamil-Tea and the decor was spot-on, just perfect. I love Hamilton, the Musical and this just endeared me to you even further. The tea service is wonderful, such a great assortment of teas from black to green, to herbal. The little savories, the cookies, the scones, the sweets - all vegan and gluten-free, but you wouldn't even know it! A great afternoon with wonderful gracious service. Thank you so very much.

Yelp
If you need a special place to celebrate yourself, or someone else then Drink Me Tea Room is the place to be! The theme when I visited was Alice in Wonderland and it was delicious and delightful. The Tea themes rotate so check their website often. Our servers were Anya and Ninneth, both were welcoming, knowledgeable and gracious during our tea service. You get two hours per reservation, which is plenty of time. We enjoyed the full tea and that gave us a taste of everything in the menu. My favorite was the lemon curd and coconut cream served with the vanilla and currant scones. I excitedly look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
The themed tea room was well decorated with a warm atmosphere for sitting and sharing some tea. I loved the little details and the presentation of the sweet dessert tower. The service is great too as they help you navigate through the menu! Can't wait for the next theme

Yelp
Drink Me!!! tea room is very cute. My friend and I both had the full tea set up. I have Celiacs so it was a dream come true for me. I could eat everything they offered. If you have Celiacs, a wheat allergy or are vegan this is a great spot. I think most people would enjoy the food. You definitely have to be expecting gluten free, vegan offerings. I'm sure most people know gluten free bread has a different texture than normal bread. The items are very filling. The flavor profiles were enjoyable. The scones were my favorite. If you are hesitant then order just the sweets portion of the tea. Be prepared for the cost. It is pricey, 2 full teas were 177.00 with gratuity added. We didn't have any additional items. I enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Another great experience here! I only wish they provided more savory options with the literacy tea, the desserts truly takeover. Everything is delicious though! We would love it if Anya our server could do floral arrangements on the tables or around the area. She has so many great ideas and it would make the decor complete. Great service and so many choices for tea. I love the Alice tea and Gryphon cocktail!

Yelp
Delighted to be attending the soft opening of Drink Me Tea Rooms Tea & Treats to go. I have long been a fan of the tea room and am now excited I can get my beloved macaroons for home. We got almond, earl gray, and matcha macaroons today. I got an iced earl gray cream tea with oat milk. It is delightful, slightly sweet and creamy. Husband got a Mediterranean blue iced tea which has a slight taste of licorice; he said it is yummy. Hooray for to go tea and snacks! They have cold brew coffee as well. I will try that next time.

Yelp
If you like vegan and gluten free, then this place is for you. Otherwise, you will need a special palate to appreciate the desserts and sweet treats that is offered. I wasn't impressed especially with the paper napkins and cheap silverware that was used. The organic tea choices were good at least. The servers needed to be dressed nicer. It's not your customary tea room. The ambiance was just not there. No thank you...

Yelp
Fun meets sustainability at this cute little tea room. They are very focused on the environment, with compostable to-go containers, and established recycling and waste reduction policies. I wish more businesses were this "green"! The staff is very friendly and dedicated to make it a fun experience. The food is all gluten-free and vegan, which is great for people with food sensitivity. I believe it is made with ingredients that are locally sourced and organic. My friend and I had the sweets tray and it was plenty to eat - we brought leftovers home. Lots of teas to choose from as well, and some fun mocktails. I had the marzipan rooibos (herbal) tea and it was delicious (highly recommend if you like almond flavor). Lots of cute details to go with the theme - we did the Alice in Wonderland one. It is a bit pricey but it makes for a fun experience!

Yelp
I had the best time at the "She Means Business" Networking event happening here! I am so happy I found this event and I am planning on attending every month! The ambiance was exemplary and so was the service! The treats were heavenly and the tea was so flavorful! Thank you for hosting such great events!

Yelp
Had read the reviews about this place and was excited to try this tea room. I LOVE tea and it is a favorite thing of mine to go to different tea rooms. The environment is quite cute and I was set to purchase merch at the store after we were done (We had been shopping prior to our reservation). Once seated, we were made to wait despite other tables who had arrived later than us were being helped. The wait staff finally came over and explained how to read their menu (we had been already looking at it for 10 minutes). They were excited about the mission of the business and even pointed out the compostable toilet paper. Not the image you want to have right before eating When asked for tea recommendations, the wait staff shared that they haven't tried most of the teas and didn't seek out others to answer my questions. I was able to sniff some teas before hand but was pushed to make a decision on my tea choice. Although I am not vegan, I have had vegan food quite a bit. This however was not good. There were issues with the textures of the food (the bread was extremely dry). There was an overpowering smokiness to much of the food. We ate carrots but could not taste the carrot flavor at all as it was drenched in smokiness. Overall, one thing I typically love with vegan food is the natural flavors that come out from the food and instead here it was as if they were trying to mask the flavors. The redeeming quality of the meal was the pumpkin scone. We ended up leaving within 30 minutes of the meal starting as we could not eat anymore. We sampled almost everything looking for something we could appreciate and left highly disappointed. The tea I drank was good. I am sad I spent so much money treating my mom to what was supposed to be a lovely lunch and a special occasion and instead will go down in our history as the tea place we couldn't get through the meal.

Yelp
I'm having the Wonderland Full Afternoon Tea: savories, scones, sweets, and Lady Grey tea! Special-tea Mocktails and Cocktails also adorn the menu. Bethany, Milla, Dusty worked the room to ensure everyone had an intimate experience. They were wonderful. While waiting for my tea treats, I'm reading excerpts of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland beautifully displayed on my table - literally. Finally The Tier Tray arrives and it is beautiful. Every tier has me looking forward to the next. Even items I don't normally love, I really really like! (Try the Egg Salad Sandwich). All items are baked each day based on Reservations(required) which helps eliminate waste. Drink Me! is dedicated to sustainability and compost all food and paper waste, recycling and providing compostiible take away containers. I'm looking forward to returning in June. The theme will be the Broadway hit Hamilton!!!

Yelp
It was our first time at this place, and the team has everything down to a T (hehe). We had the wonderful tea option, which we got to try everything the offer. We each had our own tea and our own set of eats. The favorite of the table was the macaroons, the snickerdoodle cake and there was a carrot crostini we enjoyed too. All the food offerings were vegan and gluten free which is good to see those options. But, the tea is what makes the experience - every pour smelled soo good. Decorated nicely with the Alice in Wonderland vibes and books everywhere which is very cute! Reservations are required and 2 hour max. The team there ia very respectful and prompt. I do want to share the reason for the 3 stars - we had a great time and enjoyed the tea, can't say we were fans of all the food offerings (we had 3 things we liked the most)

Yelp
This is my fourth time coming here, and I have absolutely loved every single experience! The Allison Wonderland, Tea, the Irish tea, Harry Potter, tea, and *Now Christmas tea! Services exceptional and their decorations are always absolutely beautiful. I love that they give you a two hour teatime window so there's no rush.

Yelp
Came here for lunch for my birthday with my mother , sister in law and daughter . It was so fun ! The place is decorated all Alice in Wonderland. We did the whole tea which included gluten free and vegan food and sandwiches. Plus we had dessert. Food was good . I would definitely go back but just do tea and sweets .

Raquel L.

Yelp
$67 for pure sugar? The full tea is a complete scam. The pastries are stale and dry. The only redeemable quality was actually the brewed tea.

Yelp
What a cute tea room! It is Alice in Wonderland themed, plant-based, and gluten-free. The chocolate cake with raspberry coconut-based "buttercream" was my favorite! We tried the marzipan rooibos tea and the Lady gray lavender Bergamont tea. Both were perfectly steeped (not bitter at all) and stayed warm for almost the full two hours! They offer mocktails and cocktails if you want to booze up your tea party. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The general manager told us there will be a Saint Patrick's day themed event coming up next weekend and a Harry Potter themed event after that. This would be a great place to go out with friends, a date, with kids, or for a small party. A lot of people came dressed up too :)
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
What a cute little place decorated in Alice in Wonderland theme. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Had lots of tea varieties along with alcoholic drinks as well. The hors d'oeuvres and desserts were tasty and good. They offer only gluten free and vegan items. I was skeptical of this wondering how good the food and pastries would be but very surprised it was good. This was a fun and different experience and definitely encourage for you to try it. Lots of fun.

Hindie D.

Yelp
My daughter planned a lunch for me here for my birthday. When we arrived, we were greeted, taken to our table, and given glasses of water. A waitress came by shortly and described what we would get with the package my daughter had reserved. We were given descriptions of the various teas and told we could order two. They brought us enough food to be able to take leftovers home. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys a tea party.

Yelp
My first review of the year and this place deserves it. I first learned of afternoon tea when I was researching things to do in another state. Ever since I saw that recommendation I've been wanting to try out afternoon tea. The problem: I eat gluten free and dairy free and could not find any tea room that could accommodate this. Until one day there popped up an ad for Drink Me! on Facebook and I thought for the fun of it I would pull up the website to see if they had any options for me. I cannot even begin to tell you how delighted I was to find out that all the options here are gluten free and vegan! My husband and I went for the Winter Wonderland tea the day after Christmas. Every single item was delicious. My husband even thought so and he doesn't usually eat vegan or gluten free. The attention to detail is amazing. They really did think of everything. The decor is nicely done and it was all decorated for Christmas. The menu is creative. There are just fun little things all along the way. The pastries were super cute and winter themed (and every single one of them delicious). The service was excellent. There were a good number of options of tea and they were amazing. I am thrilled that a place like this exists and cannot wait to come back for every themed event they have. I will also bring everyone who comes to town to visit here. Come here even if you don't have to eat gluten free or vegan, you will not be disappointed! Such a nice way to spend the afternoon!

Yelp
Cute spot for tea and treats with friends for family! It is a bit on the pricier end for what you get but you are paying for the experience. Friend and I each got the literary tea which is about $37/pp before tax and gratituity (which they add for you at the end). After, it was about $47/pp. It came with a pot of tea for each of us and an assortment of savories and sweets. The tea and food was just OK - most of it felt like grocery store quality treats but at least they were fresh. I did enjoy the vanilla scone and coconut cream the most. Service was really good though, they are ready and happy to assist with any requests you have! You do need to make a reservation ahead online!

Yelp
Visited the walk-in shop with the refrigerator pastry case with baked goods to go. I got a couple little miniature strawberry jam tarts with a cute little white heart on top to take home for a Mother's Day tea. Selection of looseleaf, tea purchase regular caffeinated and decaf, herbal.S ranging in price from $11-$15 a bag. The main dining room next-door with a serve of full formal restaurant style was open a reservation sold out for the Mother's Day weekend so we can't come in on that. I did step inside and admired the decor and shopped a few of the shelves for gift related items. it didn't work so I was surprised they were sold out friendly service very helpful and answering lots of questions in the gift shop. Going back and sitting down for a full afternoon. Tea, especially since they do vegan and vegetarian.

Yelp
**The Good:** Our server was nice, and the tea was delicious. **The Bad:** The atmosphere was mediocre; I expected something fancier given the price. It resembled a diner inside, with Harry Potter decor that was mostly a playlist of Harry Potter music and printouts, some framed and others taped to the walls. The food was terrible--dry, bland, and largely inedible. For the price, I expected much better quality. It was extremely expensive for what we received. We spent nearly $400 for four full teas and two alcoholic beverages. Additionally, I found the automatic 20% gratuity excessive. While 15-18% might be reasonable for a large party at a restaurant, there wasn't enough service provided after the initial tea and treats to justify such a high gratuity. Having looked forward to this since last year, I was extremely disappointed. I will not return and do not recommend it. I would have preferred to spend the money on a nice dinner or concert.

Yelp
This is a great place to go to for special events! I love coming here with family and friends and enjoying time together. They offer different themed tea sets with savory and sweet offerings. They are also fully vegan and gluten free.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed a Harry Potter themed tea time. The service, food, and decor was excellent. Book early... it sells out fast!

Yelp
Wow! What a great time we had a Drink Me! Tea Room a few days ago. I made a reservation online for a group of gal pals to celebrate Galentine's Day. (Reservations are required.) We were seated right away in the private area which seats about 14, I think. The first thing we noticed was the amazing decor. Very Alice in Wonderland with purples and black. The entire place is nicely decorated with cute accents everywhere. Our host (Dusty) greeted us warmly and was very nice and accommodating. She explained the menu and teas. We had already opted for the literary tea online. You can add additional alcoholic or non -alcoholic beverages when you're there. The menu is inserted into a book. It was totally charming! It's little details like this that make a place special! Everything was tasty and vegan and gluten-free! Worked so well for me and my friends. My favorite was the brownie, but the coconut crème was to die for. I could have eaten a ton of that by itself. Bottom line: We will be celebrating here often. Great staff, tasty treats and adorable space. What a welcome addition to Tempe!

Yelp
This Alice and Wonderland themed tea room is perfectly splendid! The atmosphere is so much fun and the place is very clean. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I went with a few other gals, so we had a few teas to sample. My favorites were the Tweedle Twins and Mad Hatter teas. Since we had the afternoon tea, we had an array of sweets and savories. My favorites were the checkerboard cake, cinnamon currant scone, and the chickpea salad crostini. I will definitely be returning and bring new people!

Yelp
Quick visit to see this location. Let me in Tea room had sold out reservations for Mother's Day weekend, but we decided to stop and check it out and see their gift shop. They have a small takeout shop two doors down. I ordered two little strawberry heart tarts, pretty good. They were soft, and they warn me that they will melt in his way to get them home quickly. They also serve ready to drink tea to go and have a large selection of bags, looseleaf tea, as well as a few other pastry items in a box up for take away. Clean finally service will definitely go back when I have time and get a reservation to sit and enjoy a full afternoon tea. I love that they have vegetarian and vegan options.

Yelp
This is probably the 6th high tea I've done, always in different venues, and by FAR the best! We went during a Halloween themed event that lasted three weeks or so, and I'm so happy we did. Well the standard theme is Alice in wonderland, they do various other themed events throughout the year, so check with the current one is for sure since the decor and menu all changes. We got the full service option so we could try out all of the goodies they had, and it was really special. Definitely enough food, and we even took a bunch home! Next time we will probably get one full set for one person and the savories only for the other because it was heavy on the sweets. Fantastic service, and look forward to returning!

Yelp
Way way way overpriced. The presentation of the food was cute, but honestly it was just shocking how much we paid for what we got. For six of us our bill was $440, for a light lunch and six small tea pots.

Yelp
I always enjoy a good tea time and this room delivered by doing something different than the others in PHX-everything was vegan and gluten free! Nice range of tea choices, cute atmosphere and plenty of food included in the full tea. Each piece was completely different than the next which made eating our way through the layers really fun. Those working the room were super nice and they absolutely recognized our anniversary which was appreciated.

Yelp
Anya was so helpful and kind. She made the experience feel great and welcoming! She was awesome!

Yelp
Every single item was absolutely amazing, with my favorites being the chocolate espresso cake and the cucumber and cashew cream crisp. We can't wait to come back to try the different themes!

Yelp
Found this place on Instagram. So when I was in town I had to make sure I visited this place. Make sure to make a reservation I'm advance for afternoon tea. The place is spacious and clean. Workers were all friendly and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the Alice in wonderland theme. There is also a private room great for bridal and baby showers! Good tea choices each person at our table got to pick their own tea. Strong tea with creme and sugar on the side. The savory bites were good. Wish there was more savory than sweets. The sweet pasties and dessert were a bit too sweet for my taste buds.

Yelp
Love, love, love the concept and how they do different themed teas. The inside was decorated really cute for the Alice in Wonderland theme. The teas were unique and brightly flavored. Loved the colorful sugar cubes. The food was just ok. Everything was vegan. Sadly the bread for the finger sandwiches was extremely dense and I didn't overly enjoy some of the fillings. The service was great. Everybody was extremely friendly and did a wonderful job explaining all the different things. Somewhat over priced for what we got. Especially since we paid a $20 dollar deposit each to book our spot and then each paid an additional $49 at the tea room.

Yelp
This is such a cute little spot! My friend and I got the marzipan and the creme brûlée teas. Both were very delicious! I prefer the savory options over the sweet options that we had. The sweet options were mostly dry and bland. The space itself is huge and decorated very nicely! The restroom was clean and the server, Ren, was great & personable. I will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Great ambiance, very magical feel. You start with smelling all the teas, and then you make your choices. The server was knowledgeable about recommendations. We paired it with some agave. The tea was great, and the sweet treats were a nice charm.

Yelp
My daughter and I decided to try this tea room while visiting Arizona, and we were disappointed. I will give it two stars for the ambiance and cute theme, but the tea, food, and service fell short. The service started out good, while the server explained everything and took out order. She even brought out a few teas to see and smell. After we placed the order, the food and tea came out, but the server never came back to check on us. After we finished, we sat there for a long time, waiting for some boxes and the check. Both of our teas lacked the flavors we were expecting from what we selected. The food was ok for being vegan, but I wish there were some non-vegan options, such as clotted cream. The scones were itty bitty! I love scones, so it was disappointing to get such a tiny one. Finally, a 20% gratuity is added to each bill, which I found to be excessive. I Can understand adding an 18% gratuity for large groups, but not 20% for every party that comes in the door. Depending on service, I typically tip between 15-20%. For the level of service we received, I would have tipped 15% and did not appreciate being forced to leave a 20% tip ($25).

Yelp
Fun place to enjoy some tea and snacks. Everything is GF and vegan, but still tastes really good. I'm always impressed by the presentation and how much care is put into all the sweets and savories they serve. Lots of choices for tea as well. They also have some alcoholic drinks if you're not a teetotaler. It's great to have such a nice place where you can tell the owner and employees really care about the quality of the food and the experience of the guests. Great place for a date or just to do something different and fun.
