The Best Boba Tea in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Capitol HIll’s half café/half trendy retail store sells both clothes and boba. It carries Instagram-worthy “bearyaki” ice cream cones topped with Asian soft serve flavors like ube and pandan, and drinks whimsically named after clothing brands and artists, including the Post Melona, reminiscent of the classic Melona ice cream bar. Open for takeout and delivery." - Ryan Lee

They say they’re open until 8 PM, but in reality they close 10–15 minutes earlier than what’s listed on Google Maps and their own website. The “Open” sign is still on, but the door is already locked. In the mornings, they also often open later than scheduled. We used to love this place, but lately the staff has been disappointing. Sadly, you just lost two loyal customers.

Google
Clean interior with lots of seating. Staff were nice. There was a DJ playing music when we went. I can see it being a good spot for people to hang out. However their drinks were atrocious. Especially the Vietnamese coffee, it tasted extremely weak and watery, couldn’t even drink 1/5 of it. The “babycat” is a bad knock off of Bobalust’s “chococat” due to lack of creaminess and flavor. Very weak flavor overall, not sure if they’re trying to save money by watering down their drinks but that doesn’t seem like a good business model. Total was $17. Disappointing. Maybe the target customers are people that need a place to hang out, and not necessarily care about the drink quality.

Just had my first drink from drip tea in Kent. Hands-down, my favorite is the BFF. The strawberries are in perfect portions and the place is dope with the swag station. Also this place is heavy in the car scene with events. Good place and it’s not too far from me! Will be going again and again!

Google
Best Bubble Tea place I've been to. Quality drinks, got the honeydew melon milk tea, and no charge for a purchase under $10 and they don't add on the $0.75 fee either if you get no ice. Also had a collection of big versions of games like Connect 4 and Jenga, so could be a cool hang out place.

Stopped by during the grand opening. It's the newest location for the aesthetic boba spot in Kent from Seattle. They also have a section with streetwear. The setting is very open as they have a huge entrance like a garage door setting. The furniture inside is very nice too. I got the post Melona which is like a Korean Melona bar- a blended drink. I think it would be a cool spot to hang out at and my drink was good.

Google
Sterile vibe with poor service. Matcha is definitely low quality and was super grainy. The aesthetic is honestly kinda corny.

Pro: Drinks were made fast, good quality drinks, offers a wide selection of customizable drinks as well as build your own drink, has self check, online ordering, Good music, good lighting, board games, lots of seating, clean restrooms and good vibes. Con: None.

Best boba in the area by farrr and dope atmosphere. Staff is amazing too. As for the drinks, Post Melona and One Twelve are my go tos 🔥 but everything is great

Yelp
Today we decided try Drip Tea for the first time! Such a hip boba shop with art and merch! I love the creativity of names when it comes to the drinks. We got the ABLOH & mammogram. The mammogram was really good, the boba was really soft if that's what you want. It's a brown sugar drink with a lot of boba. My mans got the ABLOH which is a passion fruit green tea with mango chunks. I liked it a lot. The pricing is reasonable and I don't think was bad at all. The service by the guy and girl was great!

Yelp
Solid choice for some very special (or "designer") drinks/blends and other current favorites that are in line with current foodie trends! When I walk in here, I feel like I'm inside a warehouse or large parking garage, solely because of the large door near the entrance to this place. Inside, it's blasting K-pop music, and has some tables to sit at. There's also some arcade machines and a photo booth. You order your drinks up at the counter using their kiosks, and they have a bunch of uniquely named drinks like their other location in Cap Hill, with some that are simply just strawberry matcha and mango matcha drinks, though this does keep in line with what a ton of people are crazily lining up for in this day and age (including myself). Since I simply got my drink and sat with my friend, I don't have anything to mention about service here. I got their No. 5 Elixir, which is a mixture of charcoal mango lemonade and a lot of mango bits. First and foremost, I'm happy that it didn't stain my teeth as I drank it, haha. But more importantly, it's sweet and tangy and was very refreshing even though weather was somewhat gloomy when I went. This is a very chill place to hang out at, and I can see myself coming here for a quick designer drink/blend. As of this writing, I still haven't tried all their stuff yet!

Yelp
I came here specifically to try the Banana matcha latte and it was not too bad. It's creamy and banana-y as it looks. I got no sweetening and it was just fine. I found the regular honey tea too sweet for me. The space is clean and lots of parking.

Yelp
Loved the photo booth in here! The space was clean, aesthetic, and modern. We ordered the B.F.F. drink, and while it was refreshing, with the 25% sweetness, the drink still tasted pretty sweet in my opinion. I also wish it came in the cute Drip Tea branded cup that I've seen in some of the other review photos. This place would be a very cute hangout spot, with the amount of seating and games that the shop had. Nice ambiance throughout! If I stop by next time, I might try a different drink on the menu.

Yelp
Happy to see Drip Tea opening in Kent. The boba and clothing concept is cool. What I liked: + Friendly service. I asked for some recommendations for milk tea, and the girl who works there gave me some recommendations. +Spacious and comfortable space - I visited on a weekday and I was the only customer. I can see it being busy with people chatting and playing boardgames on the weekend. What needs improvement: Boba! I almost lowered by rating because the boba did not have a good texture. This time I tried Hojicha Milk Tea, which had a powdery texture and was alright. But I've had other drinks like Post Melona and enjoyed it better. I would definitely go for a fruity tea or blended drink

Yelp
So glad they opened a location down south. We used to visit the caphill location a lot but this one is way more convenient. The workers are always friendly, the ambiance is cute with games (cornhole, jenga, connect 4) and shopping, and there's a variety of flavors. We accidentally spilled our drink in the car tonight. The workers were quick to provide hot water and napkins to clean it up AND were super sweet to give us a new drink My only suggestion would be to figure out a way to keep the tea fresh if you order any of the milk or fresh tea drinks. When you come later in the night, the tea is bitter. If they're able to brew fresh tea throughout the day, the drinks would level up for sure.

Yelp
Very cute place! Swag on one side bomb drinks on the other. It was my first time here. The drink I got was bomb! And I'll be back again! Check it out!

Yelp
Went in on soft opening and the interior is very nice. Watermelon nada tastes flavorful and refreshing at 50% sugar and their tapioca is nice and chewy. Can't wait for all the car meets here! Asian dude at the POS was friendly and gave great recommendations.

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience at Drip Tea. I had questions about the tea, which were answered. It was not a busy time of day and I got my order quickly, a rose milk tea with crema. It was really good, and I plan on returning with my family. I would recommend Drip Tea to others.

Yelp
The Boba Milk Tea and Fruit Tea is good. This location is reasonably just open. They have a few games to play while you wait.

Yelp
Dropped In for the grand opening of drip tea, the atmosphere, the drinks, the people, the car scene, it was a great time. 100% recommend
