A Running List of Farmers Markets in the Austin Area | Eater Austin

"Once named the best market in Texas, this out-of-town market is worth the trip for high-quality produce, grass-fed meats, dairy, pressed oils and sustainably raised eggs. Specialty offerings include melons (San Juan and Arava) from Onion Creek Farm, rabbit, lamb and eggs from Mick Family Farms, and a rotating selection of gourmet mushrooms, grow kits and mushroom coffee from HiFi Myco; visitors can usually enjoy live music, though on-site consumption has been suspended and COVID-19 guidelines are posted online." - Sarah Engstrand

Its been quite a few years since I have been to the local market and WOW has it grown. A great adornment of offerings and proud small business owners. Worth the trip but go early!

One of the best, most well run markets around. If you like micheladas please do yourself a favor and try Momo's! It's delish

A great local farmers market. There is a wide variety of vendors that offer excellent products.

We loved that they had a farmers market on a Wednesday night! What a great idea! They offered a wide variety of vendors here, you can get delicious Indian food (which we did - the veg samosas as delicious) to cold pressed juices and freeze-dried snacks for kiddos!

Love this market. Great music and the Pantanga Wilds Tea is wonderful!

I love this market! The people are so friendly and knowledgeable about their products and so much more. Thai Gourmet has the best freshly prepared Thai dinners ready to go and Poptopia makes unbelieveably good artisan popsicles! The bison is just so delicious, I may never go back to beef. You name it and chances are you’ll find it here!

Nice setup, lots of tents and vendors to choose from. Great food, drinks and gifts available for purchase. Not the best parking situation but still worth a visit.

I really want to give this farmer's market 5 stars. Everything is overpriced. I do not want to approach booths because I feel obligated to buy something! The vendors are hungry to make a sale, but their prices are so high that hardly anyone buys. It's very frustrating. I don't enjoy "shopping" at the market because I know I have to guard any interest I show in any particular item.

Yelp
Love, love, love this fabulous Farmers Market! We've been regulars for 3 years now. Since this is the TX Hill Country, it's easier to grow meat than veggies. ;) But, some wonderful veggie growers come in from the surrounding areas where the soil is naturally deeper. Usually there are 2-6 veggie vendors, depending on the season (more veggies available in the spring, early summer, and mid to late fall, and not so much in the heat of summer, which is with the local seasons). There are probably 4-8 meat vendors each week; they are usually more predictable as the weather doesn't affect their products as much: everything from beef, chicken, lamb, seafood, bison, and sometimes pork. Also eggs and milk. All sorts of specialty food and other vendors cycle through, probably 5-15 vendors per week, from bakeries, to dried fruit, from honey, soaps, jewelry, ginger root beer, ethnic foods, to the Hays County Master Gardeners, the Wild Bird Store, and more. We love the wonderful family friendly ambience with musicians serenading us while we shop, kind and patient fellow customers, and knowledgable vendors. I learn something new every time I come. One of the highlights of our week! Check it out. As noted, because of the TX heat and rain, occasionally the location will be changed to Ranch Park with inclement weather, while during the heat of the summer, the market always shifts to it's summer schedule of 9-12. Brilliant if you ask me. No one wants to shop in the afternoon of the dead of summer! The rest of the year the market is in the afternoon, from 3-6pm.

Yelp
This is a great weekly farmers market in Dripping Springs. They have a great variety of vendors...farmers, artists, vineyards, and others. There are local musicians playing live music every week. It's well run and managed. Get there when they open for the best selections. They do run out of things, so if you arrive in the last 30 minutes, some vendors may be sold out. Also, produce is seasonal, so it's not the market's fault if some types of produce aren't available in the months when it doesn't grow. I love being able to support local farmers and businesses. I do wish they'd move it back to Founders Park, but it's understandable that it may not be possible.

Yelp
I really love this farmers market and I. Been going for years. Great selection of farmers and locally grown produce. It's one of the best!

Marion P.

Yelp
First of all, they have changed location to Founders Park off 12. Summer hours are 9-12. Disappointing they can't keep up info on Yelp. It's a small group of sellers with normal farmers market booths. Good products just not big variety. I was looking for veggies but completely lacking greens and mostly saw tomatoes. Hot time of year maybe prevents veg sellers. Good source of ethnic foods and baked goods as well as wineries and other beverages. I would give a 5* if they had fresh veggies. Weekly musicians do a nice job. Very happy when Jerry Vicks is playing his great music.

Yelp
This was a really good farmers market. It is relatively small, but we bought farm fresh eggs, some bagels, some cheese muffin things that were awesome, some red onion and some great fresh tomatoes. We also tried some brisket and salami, they were okay, but a bit pricey. It was $26.00 a lb. for it. It was fairly crowded also, for a Wednesday at 3:00pm. I would definitely go back.

Luisa L.

Yelp
The vendors and people are lovely but we were disappointed to not have found a single produce stand. Would love to have fresh produce and fruits as one of the vendors, if possible.

Yelp
This is an amazing little farmers market! Always someone playing a guitar and singing, food and fresh produce galore. Every time I come I am so envious of the residents of dripping springs, they have this little gem. Sample everything and bring home dinner! Some places don't take credit card so bring cash.
