Amazing service and delicious food. We went and even though it was busy they took care of us fast and our food came out at the perfect time. Definitely worth driving to try it! Muy delicioso y auntentico sabor venezolano.

Amazing cozy place to grab brunch downtown! Menu is simple and reasonably priced. Food made with all fresh ingredients and came out quickly. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Ms. Janet was so sweet and attentive. You gotta try the sweet tea!! It was out of this world. We’ll be back. 😀

Excellent food, great service! I was shocked to see a Venezuelan spot in Montgomery of all places. I went in for lunch and they were serving a buffet style menu. The server asked what I would like and I said I was hoping that I could order off the menu. I told her I was first-gen Venezuelan American and was just looking for some VZ comfort food. The owner/chef heard us talking and came out of the kitchen and told me to grab a seat and she'd whip it right up. You cant get service like that anywhere else and the food was so authentic and so good. I go out of my way anytime I'm passing through Montgomery just to stop in and grab food here. Pro tip - the Guasacaca sauce is the best!

What a wonderful experience for my husband and I!! We live about 30 miles north of D’Road and so glad we finally made it. Janet and her staff are so pleasant. We felt very well taken care of! The food was exceptional-flavor throughout every bite. We shared the banana French toast. I had the Sunrise Arepa with added spinach. My guy had the Cachapa with brisket. Perfect! We will be back!!

Amazing homemade food. The Yuca was delicious and added s traditional feel to the food. I went back the next day to enjoy the buffet again. You come in and are greeted like family. The owner is beautiful and super sweet.

A lovely little spot. The food was great, the staff was helpful, and the place was clean! They kept the menu small; makes it easy to choose from. And the pineapple juice was refreshing.

Very nice people, clean and nicely decorated. A small mom and pop operation. The menu is small and said ham on the menu but they said they don't serve ham it's too processed they use turkey.

I'm so glad we found this cute place where to eat during our trip from Atlanta. The Venezuelan lady who owes and works here, is super friendly and a great cook. We had the experience of having their lunch buffet and everything we ate was absolutely delicious. It's a great place for a birthday lunch.

Service was spectacular. We had a large group and they had an entire spread prepared for us. The family that runs it are so gracious and amazing chefs. The food is flavorful, authentic, and made with love. Would definitely like to come again.

Pleasantly surprised with how satisfied the whole family was by the time we left D' Road. My vegetarian family is new to the area, and we hadn't found any good vegetarian friendly restaurants. But I saw a review that said D' Road could accommodate vegan/vegetarian/gluten free, so we stopped in for lunch. We were greeted immediately and small starter salad was brought out as soon as we walked in. Beverages - tea, water, and coffee - were available as self serve. No menu for lunch, just a hot bar served cafeteria style. There were three types of meat to choose from, rice, beans, veggies, cabbage, and plantains. We told them we were vegetarian, so we got all of the non-meat options with an extra large scoop of beans. We were told that all of the food was fresh, organic, and made from scratch daily. It definitely tasted like it. Everything was super flavorful! My 12 month old loved the beans, and my 3.5 year old loved the beans, rice, and broccoli. They also brought out some kind of homemade hot sauce that was a jar of marinated veggies in a liquid. I drizzled a little of the liquid over my cabbage and veggies, and it was the perfect addition. Def had a kick to it. My personal favorite thing on the plate was the plantains. They have a full menu of breakfast items, and it does mention vegan/vegetarian options are available. So I'm already looking for an excuse to go again.

Came in on a Saturday, sat immediately and helped by who I assume is part of the family for this quaint spot. She recommended the Sunrise Arepa, and I'm glad she did! Not something I would normally order, but tons of flavor! Only four stars because I wish they had a full bar or at least some mimosas... I didn't see anything in the menu.

Kind of difficult to give a rating since have only dined there one time, and it was a special event/situation where the menu was preset and we knew what we were going to pay and what we were going to eat (a standard price). Otherwise, I definitely give it the highest rating because the food was exceptional and the service was wonderful. The owners are very genuine and friendly people and we will eat there again for sure.

If you're looking for a place that feels like a warm, home-cooked meal straight from your grandma's kitchen, this is it! The food was comforting, flavorful, and made with such care. Every dish was delicious, from the perfectly seasoned meats to the hearty sides. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a charming, homestyle vibe that made the whole experience feel extra special. The only downside is that the prices are a bit on the higher side, but for the quality and nostalgic comfort, I'll be back for sure! Also the toilet is prison style so plan to not use a restroom while you are here.

Stopped by on a Thursday at noon when it was listed as open and it was locked up tight. Maybe closed permanently? Not sure but no sign or explanation.

I loved this place! My brunch plate was delicious and the grilled plantains were the best I've ever had. The place was cute, clean, and the server was so personable. I felt like I was in her kitchen.

My normal downtown breakfast spot changed their hours so my coworker and I landed here... instant convert! I wasn't sure what to expect of this place but an extremely fresh Latin breakfast was not one of them. This was one of those places where it was hard to choose what I wanted. I went with their version of a breakfast sandwich. It come in a cornbread wrap and the green sauce is so amazing I wish they bottled it. I'm not sure I've ever had FRESH pineapple juice but I'm never going back. The coffee was also strong and fantastic. I'm dying to try the rest of the menu. The staff was very sweet and kind, always checking in. Prices were super reasonable considering the portion size.

Excellent experience. I booked a large party after hours and we were treated to a wonderful buffet. All the food was delicious and they were able to accommodate vegans. The owner is so sweet and took such great care of us.

Excellent lunch stop while visiting Montgomery. The food is a very select limited daily menu, $19.00 one awesome plate pre-made ready to go. Excellent for a quick lunch, the service was amazing, with a fun ambiance in downtown Montgomery. There is a reason this place has almost a perfect 5 Stars!

Janett and her restaurant are absolutely lovely. She cooks off her menu in the mornings. For lunch, she has hot food that she cooks (and changes) daily, which you get to pick from in order to fill your plate. While the plates are $19 each, they're heaping with food, and you get a salad and dessert with each. All of my coworkers said the food was fabulous. As a vegan, Janett gave me a veggie empanada, which I greatly appreciated! She said to just call ahead for a vegan or vegetarian accommodation, and she'd be able to have something ready next time! Such a great experience, and she can't help but make every customer smile!

That was some of the best food we have ever eaten. Everything was made from scratch and the cook came out to visit us. Very sweet people. They were short workers and still kept the pace. That food was fantastic. That is worth going out of your way to get to!!!

unsure if the people who like this place have ever had good Venezuelan food- but this was like having southern fried Venezuelan. They used American shredded cheese.... so iykyk.... But there was nothing fresh or green in or aroudn the arepa. It was so greasy I used an entire napkin dabbing the orange grease off my fingers. My husband had the empanada which was also maybe the worst he's tasted. We were just passing through- super sad because the potential is there....

This is a family style restaurant, meaning we got our drinks and then salads and then she went behind the buffet area to each serve us a plate. I got a scoop of every dish available. There was rice, black beans, 2 veggie dishes, and the other 5 dishes were meat based (brisket, pork, chicken, etc). The brisket was amazing. Nothing was not tasty. For dessert she handed out these pistachio covered chocolate balls that were good. I heard from another customer that we should come back for their brunch. The chef/owner Janett was very friendly and said while she doesn't serve alcohol, we could bring our own in next time. Overall, a lovely little restaurant.

Blew us away! We stopped in Montgomery to break up the drive to Florida and stumbled across this gem the next day before finishing the drive. Quaint cafe that sent us into a relaxed state. Loved the decor and wait staff were great! It is a little slower paced, but that is the best part of the experience. You may need a reservation if you hit a peak time. We had pineapple juice which was delicious and fresh. I have to mention the coffee, just perfect, thick and not bitter at all. We capped it with a couple criollos, omelette, and a crazy eggs. Be sure to add the homemade hot sauce! Loved it!

This place is a GEM. Just let the nice lady feed you. Don't ask what it is. Just eat it. The food is amazing, the standard fare a mix of Latin food that tastes like mom made it--because she did. Lunch, when I attended, was a hot bar, and you pretty much got whatever you wanted that she could fit on your plate--and then some. I got curry chicken, brisket, and AMAZING vegetable lasagna, with rice, black beans, yucca, and steamed vegetables. The plate was so heavy I had to carry it with two hands underneath! I cleaned my plate. Everything was delicious. Then the owner walked over some citrus salad (on the house) and later a small truffle sized dessert (on the house) and call me mi amor the whole day, and I never wanted to leave. I miss my mom.

A great little spot in downtown. At lunch they have a cafeteria style service with on this day amazing home cooked Venezuelan food. Reasonably priced and we received a small warm bread pudding at the end of our meal that was to die for

Would definitely recommend this place! Parking was a breeze in the front of the restaurant. Please read the signs before you enter. The sign encourages you to use the hand sanitizer, seat yourself and to help yourself to coffee and tea.We ordered from the Cachapa and Criollo both were very very good but the Cachapa was the best! There was only one server and she was very nice and had everything under control. This place was busy! Will definitely eat here again when in the area.

I was really surprised when I found this venezuelan restaurant in the middle of food-desert Montgomery, Alabama. Janet the owner is a fantastic host and lovely host. Ask for any Arepa, empanada or the cachapas. Everything was delicious. This is truly one reason to come back to Montgomery.

Excellent!! We just had breakfast at this cafe and damn! It was delicious!! The crazy Benedict is the one to order! Full of flavor! The perfect balance of sweet and salty! Top it off with her mango smoothie! This owner will gives hugs too! So come on home to Venezuela in Montgomery and get some delicious grub y'all!

I was so excited to be in AL for the first time. Just got off the plane and I'm starving for some good grub. Found this cute place in Montgomery, but was disillusioned with the taste of the food. I had a lunch special with some brisket. Keep in mind, I'm a pescatarian and I was willing to sacrifice a bit with some of their famous brisket. Unfortunately, it was a waste of calories. It didn't even fill me or satiate my palate. So sorry guys, but I would have like some better seasoning on my food.

All of the reviews were true! This place is delicious, the serving size was perfect for me and the prices were very reasonable. The ambiance is very relaxed and even though we went during the lunch time rush we never waited long.

Near the fountain, this bright pleasant brunch spot offers something different from the typical American breakfast. I ordered the Criollo a sweet and savory combination with beans, brisket, and plantains. Its Venezuelan influence comes through with the delightful creamy sauce and arepas. The combination worked well together. The beans were a bit bland but served as a textural contrast to the other items on the plate. However, it took up half the plate. It is a handwritten menu without a beverage list. A bit confusing as to how drinks were priced.

Everything about this place is great! the service, the food presentation looks awesome and the place is nice...BUT the food is bland :( such a let down for a $70 lunch. The hot sauce is not hot, not even a little bit. The food looks amazing but when you taste it there is no taste! The potential is there but they need more sazón!

Disappointed! You start with a nice lady who tells you to take a seat, and then asks you what you want to drink. There are only a few limited choices and you don't get a menu or any idea what the prices are. She then showed us the food that had been prepared at the buffet. No explanation about meal options or pricing. We chose a few options from the buffet. The Food was cold and salty. This plate in the picture cost me 24$ I never got a check and was just told to put the card in the machine. Total rip-off

A fun casual place. Friendly staff, no frills menu, tasty food , with an option to do the whole buffet and get a taste of everything. Constantly changing menu, so you never know what you might get, but it'll be home made and tasty.

I had the black bean arepas and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Coffee is not free, they charge you (no biggie but I thought it might be included because if the sign out front to help yourself). Realllly love my food it was delicious.

Outstanding food. I had the the artichoke eggs Benedict. The best eggs Benedict I ever had. My wife and daughter cannot stop talking about the food.

I ordered the crazy eggs as my entree. It was very good and I would highly recommend. My group of 15 arrived right at 8:30 when they opened without advanced notice and the staff was very accommodating and all orders were without delay.
