"It’s the dirt. And the water. And the care the brewers put into each batch. That’s what the conversation will inevitably turn to at this brewery just a few minutes from the New York/New Jersey border. After being stuck on the BQE and then jockeying around the GWB, Drowned Lands' modern country interior and rich, earthy brews are a welcome respite. Grab your drink inside the former reform school administrative building and then walk alongside the Wawayanda Creek. After your stroll, order one of their brick oven pizzas, which are a perfect complement to their award-winning sours and hazy IPAs. Brunch is over the top amazing! Pizza is awesome! Great drinks and atmosphere! Friendly staff! This is one of our favorite places to go. We drive 1 hr to visit as often as we can

Google
Really fun brewery with amazing food. I'm a hummus snob but their carrot hummus with fresh pita was impressive. Of course the beers are great too. Pizza came out hot! Enjoy hanging out at this place. Dog friendly too!

Google
My fiance and I love this brewery!! They have some of the best IPA's we've tasted. Unfortunetely they don't let you try it before buying which is a bummer but anything with Terra is pretty delicious. We also had the lamb chops and the lamb lahmacun. The lamb chops were delicious but I'd give it a 4/5 because 25% of it was fat. The pizza though was amazing. Overall the atmosphere is great especially in the summer but in the winter they do have a fire pit outside you can use.

Google
Always a great time at Drowned lands! I’ve been here on numerous occasions and their beer is on point and their staff is always super friendly. Steven and Connor are the best! Definitely ask for them when you go they are always very helpful and knowledgeable. I also love that they allow dogs, other wineries/cideries in the area don’t allow them so it’s nice to bring my dog every once in a while to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous view. And don’t miss out on their brick oven pizza, it’s absolutely amazing, best pizza in the area!

Google
Great vibes and good eats. Took a trip to Walkill for apple picking and decided to stop by a local brewery. Drown Lands didn't disappoint. Dog friendly, kid friendly and even caught a wedding celebration while grabbing some flights and food. If in the area or traveling to the Hudson Valley be sure to give this brewery a visit!

What a lovely place to spend the afternoon on a warm fall day. Great vibes, great food and great beer. Erin K was a superstar behind the bar making sure everyone was taken care of with a warm and friendly smile.

Drowned Land Brewery is an awesome place to go have a beer and pizza pie along other great food and drinks. They also host a bunch of event that are fun to attend. Also enjoy a great weekend with the family!

Google
A beautiful place to spend an afternoon having delicious beers. Pizza and other food available (not food trucks). Live music on the Saturday when we came. Great atmosphere all around.

Dan D.

Yelp
A beautiful place in Warwick to sample a huge and consistently excellent menu of beers brewed on premises, complemented by homemade, rustic pizzas, all on a lawn with lush greenery surrounding you. We held a farewell party for a departing coworker here amidst this splendor. A wedding reception was happening on the upstairs deck. It was lousy with 20- and 30-somethings - go figure! - and people also had brought their children, dogs, and own food to eat. One thing for sure - it's not quiet there. At 2p on a Saturday it was just mobbed.

Yelp
Monday eve 5ish. The place was not full thankfully. Service: Our server was very nice and helpful. The menu had a lot of great pictures, but it was cumbersome to unfold and I'd like to see a little more description. Food: 1/2 We had one of the charusco platters. The steak was prepared very well. The beans were amazing. Rice was cooked well not sticky or mushy. Sorry for no photos, food was so good I forgot. Drink: 1/2 They had a good amount of drinks. The sodas were not on the menu, they were standard. One of the starts is just for the Mexicans Coca-Cola. I had a monitor and it was way too sweet. They dropped this small led flashing gizmo in the glass for affect/effect but it was lost on me (as is my grammar). Bathrooms: 1/2 This is a very important part of the restaurant and a good indication of staff cleanliness!!! I didn't go but other guests in my party went. They were clean and there was nothing negative. Cost: 1/2 We all feel we got the quality for the quantity. I took a half star away because they add % service charge for credit cards (referring it to a "discount" if you use cash).

Yelp
We love this brewery! Hudson valley gem. Great beers and atmosphere. Quick bites available like great pretzels and brick oven pizza! Beautiful outdoor patio and field. Dog friendly outside. Frequent visitor.

Kimberly D.

Yelp
One of my favorite places. A beautiful, modern decor. It doesn't look like a brewery at all. All the beers are incredible. Food is delicious. The brewery is on an incredible plot of land that used to be part of a boys boarding school started by Eleanor Roosevelt. Such a cool spot to connect to nature. Kid-friendly, pet-friendly, and they have lots of events, too!

Katarina L.

Yelp
We could not have asked for a better place to grab a bite and a brew. I had been scouring Yelp and websites of local breweries and restaurants looking for a place that is dog friendly and am so happy to have landed on Drowned Lands. From the gorgeous outside space to the great food and, of course, beers, it made for the best pit stop. The brews: I wasn't looking to drink really but after trying the Wall Kill (strawberry rhubarb sour) I was kind of hooked. I really don't like beer at all but loved this one. It was more like a hard kombucha which is all I even wanted in the first place. The bites: The food menu was pretty incredible. We started with the hummus and then shared two of the pies. It was more than enough food for two hungry people, we ended up taking like half a pie to go. But they were great! The mushroom stole the show (lemon zest on a pizza was knew for me but I became a quick fan) and the Hot Italian was also delicious. The hummus came with a very generous plate of pita and chopped veggies and I loved the sprinkled pomm seeds on top. Two pizzas and the hummus came out to like $70 but portions were huge and food was delicious. The space! I loved it so much. We brought our dog who was welcomed and pet by everyone. They brought him water and he stayed happily by our table along with a walk/run on the grass every once in a while. The inside in beautiful and the outside has plenty of tables along the patio (covered and uncovered) as well as a HUGE lawn. It looks like people might have even brought their own lawn chairs and blankets which I could see myself doing regularly if I was a local. There are two bars (one for drinks and one for food) that you go up to to order and pick up your food. You can either pay and close out or start a tab for the whole stay. So worth the trip if you are heading to the area and I literally cannot wait to go back.

Jamie L.

Yelp
The last brewery of the day. The outside looked like a vineyard, it's like an estate. I felt under dressed! Haha Inside I felt more acclimated lol I saw people go outside to what looked like a giant lawn with corn hole. I stayed inside with the AC. I saw a spiral staircase and I was so curious to go up it but I didn't let the intrusive thoughts win. We tried a lot of breweries this day so we got one pour each. I like my sour. It was a little tart and sweet. The IPA was solid, not too hoppy. I really wish I could have tried more, I was digging the selection. Overall, I would go back.

Jane K.

Yelp
Had such a great time at Drowned Lands Brewery! It's beautiful (especially outdoors) when the weather is nice and very family friendly. They have a decent food menu and a brick oven for pizza. I recommend the mushroom! Fast and friendly service too!

Jason B.

Yelp
Pros: a wide selection of different styles of beer that seem to be generally well regarded by the apps that rate beer. Friendly service. Spacious. Great outdoor area for warmer weather. They have a pizza oven. Large parking lot. There's a tv and some toys for kids. Cons: no flights of beer... I will never understand why a brewery would deny a customer to try many different beers. Between the markup you could charge and the retail sales it could generate, it feels like a missed opportunity. As a result, I only got to try 2 beers: 1 great and 1 so so. The great one was sold out of 4 packs. Boo. I heard mixed reviews on the pizza, though it visually looked nice.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try and most lately sit down and write a review for Drowned Lands Brewery. Usually when I post a review about more than one beer the review can get pretty lengthy and as of late, more often than not I need to make fairly short and straight to the point on my reviews for time budgeting (Some details of that will come about in the future reviews for those who are curious). But now since I have a chance to breathe I can write a review about Drowned Lands. Steve and I had three different beers from this particular brewery and we enjoyed them all greatly. We were most partial to the dark beer we had here but had no complaints about the lighter ones either. The first beer that we tried was the Gather House, a wit bier or wheat beer is what we had. This beer was good and had elements for your tastebuds of wheat, spiced, coriander, fruitiness and a clean aftertaste that made the beer have a nice finish with it's well made complexity. Rare Earth was the next beer that we had. A Pilsner which we often enjoy and this one was no exception. Flavor highlights to find with this pilsner is crispness, earthiness, oak, biscuity and caramel. But our favorite out of the three has to go to the Ten Acres Pastry Stout. We rated this beer high on Untappd because we were so much in love with it. We do like pastry stouts on occasion and when we do we are usually very highly impressed as we were with this one! Flavor features to find with this lovely stout are chocolate, creamy, coconut, coffee and vanilla. This beer alone pushed me into a five star rating for this brewery. Maybe if I made a different beer choice I'd do a four star rating as I was inclined to do but Ten Acres pushed my review up yo five stars. If you like pastry stouts then I strongly recommend to give it a try!

Yelp
This is a small winery in Warwick, with very clean and spacious grounds with games such as corn hole. One BBQ food truck and live band on weekends. Large pizza oven. Pizzas start at $19 +. Try the raspberry ale, $10, and not overly sweet. Ps: family friendly and lots of pets. 40 minutes away from Northern New Jersey.

Angie Y.

Yelp
A great spot to sit, relax, and try tons of different beers with friends and family. There is tons of seating both indoors and outdoors. On certain days such as Saturday they usually have a live band playing music. They also sometimes partner with food trucks but have a pizza oven indoors. Pizza is a little overpriced and takes a long time to receive upon ordering but tastes pretty good. We opted for the margarita and mushroom pie. They offer half pours and full pours, flights which allows you to try most of their menu. Dog friendly and not cash only

Matthew N.

Yelp
Amazing IPA and wild ales can be found here. As well as plentiful outdoor seating and live music that can be a little loud. Still gotta give them credit for so many different looks and vibes in one venue. And the beer...super chef kiss! There's also random rotating food trucks outside that gives you eating options. I hear they have a kitchen but it wasn't open when we came in late May 2023. Beer: 5/5. The best beer in upstate NY. Super crushable Pilsner, sweet but dry saison, crazy fruit beers, and the most balanced hazy IPA in the region not from Vermont! So good. Ambience: 4/5. Ample seating outside on the patio and among the trees on the lawn. Limited seating indoors that gets filled to capacity when there is live music on a weekend. The bathrooms are super clean and spacious, though, a big plus. And a cool second floor that overlooks the beer vats which you can rent out for events. Very flexible! Value: 5/5. For beer this clean and tasty, you would pay 10-20% more in NYC. Which means you should drink more on the premises because in this economy, you should save whenever you can! Great place, great value, great times.

Desiree D.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful outside grounds, with plenty of high-tops and heaters. theres a great view of the swamps/rolling hills. inside is open, airy, but earthy. you can walk up to the pizza station and order there and you will receive a hand held device to let you know when your food is ready. to be honest, we didnt like our margherita pizza. it was bland flavor, little to no cheese, and undercooked. but we didnt come here for food. we came for the beer. i had a sour and a cider. both hit the damn spot. one had basil in it, which is truly unique, and the sweetness came through with the fruit. they dont do flights, but do huge half pours. ps they have a full upstairs area with a party room. plenty of parking. cant wait to come back.

Shelby A.

Yelp
Recently just heard of this brewery from a couple at a different local spot down the road and can't believe we've never stopped here! There is ample parking in the lot outside. The interior of the brewery is very clean and well decorated. They have the option to sit outside as well on the patio or grass. Big plus is they are dog friendly and we brought our dog and she loved it. They don't serve food but usually have a local food truck on site, we unfortunately just missed the food truck but stayed for a few drinks. I loved their options of beers from ipas to sours. A great location for groups and we will definitely be back!

Dylan R.

Yelp
We love a brewery in a historic building with beautiful grounds! Beer and food (and vibes) are worth returning for!

Joe B.

Yelp
Service was great! Beer is some of the best around. Connor pours a mean hazy DIPA I would highly recommend to anyone traveling through Warwick, NY.

Jerry K.

Yelp
Great selection of draft beers, even better hand made pizza. Plenty of wooden ambiance seating, including outside area by a pond and this place is a perfect mix of chill vibes. Highly recommend.

Greg T.

Yelp
This place is pretty amazing. The building, interior and setting are all spectacular. The beers are solid and the variety offered is pretty good. I didn't try any of the food, but it looked pretty good. My only complaint here was the lack of beer flights. I like to go to breweries and try a variety of beers and then choose a couple I really liked to have a full pour of. When you only offer half and full pours at full pour prices, I'm only trying one beer, maybe two and if don't like them, I'm leaving and not buying anything. This is a newer trend with the high end breweries and I'm not a fan. Having said that, this place is worth visiting.

Brian B.

Yelp
Cool location. I would love to know the history of this place. I loved the brick oven for pizza; but is was packed today!!! We sat outside, and I can image this being a nice place when the weather is more accommodating. The beer was also good.

Tiffany G.

Yelp
fun spot! you can bring your furbabies and have a day. they have a menu with pizza and bar food, but outside they have pulled pork and lobster rolls, yum all great! seating is first come first serve FYI

Mike V.

Yelp
What a great spot. The interior is nice and cozy with a view of the landscape. It was too cold to be outside but it looked like the ample outdoor seating would've been enjoyable. The beer is AMAZING. Had the Black Gold and the Acacia - two opposite ends of the taste spectrum - and both were a hit. There's a pizza oven too, so there's food and it's pretty good.

Natalia E.

Yelp
Great pizza! Ambiance is relaxing, perfect for anyone Of any age. Beers are also very good. Service is on point.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Cool building with lots of selections of beer! I'm not a huge beer person, but everyone that I was with really enjoyed their selections and even purchased some cans to take home. They don't have flights as far as I know, but you can buy in half sizes to try more of the kinds of beer! One thing I didn't like about this place was that there were no food options - not even prepackaged snacks. So if you want a snack I'd recommend bringing one! Some other groups also had brought along board games. This business is also dog friendly! Updated to add: based on others' reviews, I believe they have food trucks at some times! They did not when I was there - likely because it was winter.

Marcella A.

Yelp
This was my first time here and I'll have to say it is such a magical place. It's absolutely beautiful to see all of the Christmas lights and wreaths all over the building. I came in to receive a gift card for Russian Christmas and everyone was very nice and the vibes were very laid back and chill. I'll definitely be coming back here.

Nevin W.

Yelp
Amazing beer. Great service. Love the pizza and back area is very kid friendly. I loved the bbq area too. Brisket was tender.

Alex F.

Yelp
We visited today for the first time, and were so impressed by the beer, food menu, and the cozy space. We got a few different beers and the vegan platter, plus the white pizza with hot honey. Yum!! We can't wait to come back bundled up and sit by the fire pits.

Alissa O.

Yelp
We came here about 2pm on a Saturday. Beautiful weather great place to spend the day away from Manhattan! My partner and I tried a lot of the beers they had SO good the Suzanne was my favorite and they also had a sour beer (pink/purple) color the best! I'm not a sour beer person by any means but this definitely turned my opinion around. Outside they have picnic tables for kids or dogs to run around and play frisbee etc. They also have food trucks! Also for those who are not big beer enthusiasts they also have a few wine bottles! Note if you find a beer you love be sure to head to the fridge and grab it fast! They do run out and unfortunately that happened to us. Overall great experience, we loved that it's dog friendly and could enjoy the day with our pup. We will be back!

Rus W.

Yelp
Cool and relaxing setting! The brewery is a rustic style and inviting. Service was attentive. A variety of interesting brews. Only bad thing, no beer flight samplers offered and they do not take cash.

Joe S.

Yelp
Good beer and good food, but I've been here twice and each time I'm surprised by either a private party closing down the place or half the menu being unavailable for unknown reasons. Staff doesn't seem terribly hospitable, but I can reward that in tips, or lack thereof.

Frank G.

Yelp
Located in Warwick, NY. Drowned Lands Brewery has great tasting beer, friendly staff in a beautiful setting in Warwick, NY.

Renee W.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place, best sours excellent pizza GREAT vibe. HOWEVER!!! I keep coming back despite the service. They never answer their phone they do NOT update their website if they're having a private event (closed when they are normally open) or if they're only serving half their menu basically count on NOTHING they offer on their website and be happy with whatever you may get if you come here. I'm not even asking for them to have everything all the time I'm just asking them to post it on their Instagram story so that I know if I'm driving all the way here I'm NOT gonna get a fennel salad.

Kristi R.

Yelp
My beer and food were delicious. Excellent service and beautiful location! Will definitely come back if we pass through this area again!

Mouse E.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, beautiful views, great beer and food. Will come again with our toddler so he can hang out too. Good place for families.

Mackenzie A.

Yelp
We love the Drowned Lands. Their beer is creative and delicious, their new pizza and charcuterie offerings are equally so, and the ambiance is trendy yet natural all at once. It is expensive, but the quality is there. My partner and I have also been working with them to plan an event in October, and their staff has been fantastic this far. We look forward to returning to Warwick soon to enjoy this gem and prepare for more special moments soon to come.

Liz L.

Yelp
Went here with my husband, 15 month old, and our friends (who have a 3 year old). Got there right when they opened so plenty of seating, but the place is popular and filled quickly! Staff are super friendly and helpful with making drink choices. I am ironically not a huge fan of beer, I had the wall kill (a "fruited sour").... It was so good! We all loved the vibe! It was a beautiful day to spend time outside, but even the inside is beautiful. The brewery has a simple, rustic, but chic ambiance. The back opens onto outdoor seating and a large yard. It was also very clean. My daughter is at an age where it's hard for her to sit for any extended amount of time... so, it was relaxing to enjoy our (delicious) pizza and hummus while the kids played on the lawn. I recommend if you have kids to bring a ball, we did, and we had a few children ask to borrow or play with us too! We were there for a few hrs enjoying the live band. Overall, it was good food, good music, good drinks... such a great time. what more could you ask for? I can't wait to go back :)

Brielle E.

Yelp
Drowned Lands hosted our wedding in September, and the experience was amazing!! The food was amazing, the bartenders were on top of their game and there was never a long line, and the event team headed up by Cristie Gilmore were flawless - attentive, proactive, problem solving two steps ahead, and taking care of the important people, allowing us to celebrate all day long.

Z P.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Beer: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance 0/5 Listen I respect that people have children and life doesn't end in parenthood. But management needs to learn that they can step in and tell parents to control their children. I felt like I was at a 1 year olds birthday party in a bouncy house when visiting here. Children literally running around and almost knocked me off my stool. I hate to leave a bad review because I enjoyed the beer and pizza but the establishment should say something to the parents about the children running around playing tag while other people are trying to relax. If I wanted to go to chuck e cheese I would. But I want to relax with friends and not fall off my stool. As a diner, I shouldn't have to address the parents, the business should have asked them to leave. Also the place is probably about 2x the price of any other brewery I've ever been to. All in all, I would never go back.

Tara Lynn O.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the beer here & views! It was very relaxing, we got lucky and it was close to 50 degrees out at the end of December so we took the beers outside and enjoyed the view. We can shortly after it opened and it was packed. Not sure we would have found a seat indoors easily. Outdoors has a ton of seats on two levels. The beers were also tasty! Enjoyed the pecan pie one & wheat beers they had on tap. We got a few to go. It's a little pricy for the to go beers, same price as getting on tap. Enjoy! Hoping to come back in the summer

Janelle M.

Yelp
Really good beer, really cool atmosphere. Family friendly and dog friendly even inside. Indoors it's open air, probably seasonally. We came here with friends on Friday & we liked it so much we came back Sunday. They have rotating food trucks but no food options provided by the brewery so i bet you could bring your own snacks especially if you were sitting out at the picnic tables. The patio seating is mostly covered & there's picnic tables under large trees. We moved from inside to the picnic tables outside, I don't think there's a bad spot here or that I could say I have a preference. Love it!

Jill O.

Yelp
Less than impressive. Uncomfortable seating. Poor service. Minimalist menu at best and the pizza was not worth the money. I only went here to pass the time while my child was at the sports complex. Next time I'll just go hungry.

Cat K.

Yelp
Shannon was fantastic! The vibes of this place are amazing and the beer is delicious. 10/10

John B.

Yelp
I appreciate their beers but I had a salami pizza and our whole group paid a heavy price. Dough was top shelf but the cheese was too much (and I love cheese). Took us all three hours before we started feeling ok. So just get one with lighter cheese

Christine G.

Yelp
Huge brewery with a two level patio and lots of benches in the grass area. Indoor seating also available. They do a myriad of IPAs and all delicious. Looking forward to coming back with a group. Food trucks rotate on the weekends but you are welcome to bring your own snacks. They are also kid and dog friendly!

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Great beer, amazing pizza! We got the white salami pizza and a few of their different beers on tap. Definitely coming back next time we're in Warwick!

Erjon A.

Yelp
Amazing place, great outdoors, great beers and pizzas. True napoletan pizzas. Great beers, not just the ipas, but amazing ipas.

H W.

Yelp
Forget about a fancy sit down dinner. Try a good beer (well a few), good music a good view, friends, a nice night, food trucks and a relaxing time. All of that right here. Yes. The fried chicken sandwich. Yea. Not to mention the other food or brew. Thanks. Enjoyed. Oh yea. The view (again). Indoor. Outdoor. Patio. Covered. Plenty of seating options.

Sebastian M.

Yelp
Great place to hangout and have a good beer. We tried the Pilsner and Wheat Beer both where good unfortunately the pilsner run out and wasn't available for the second round. The had a pizza truck on the lawn. It was great Pizza. The facily seems new and they had a amazing looking pizza oven set up with station to work at. ( my chef heart jumped) but it wasnt used. Live music was great... would comeback and suggest to anyone but would hope the food.

Courtney W.

Yelp
Such a great property for kids to rub around. Beautiful lawn to chill. The live music was also amazing.

Christopher T.

Yelp
Picturesque scenery for enjoying a wide variety of beers. Great sours here! Service is friendly and hospitable.
