Google
I was passing through Northeast Philly and needed a bite to eat. I was happy to find this restaurant and order the cauliflower tacos plus a side of beans, which are vegan options. The host was very kind. The atmosphere was nice. The bathroom was clean. And I got exactly the take out I needed as I was passing through this part of the city.

Google
I had the blackened fish tacos so fresh and delicious. We also had the beef empanadas, they were huge, filled and cheesy. The beef was nice and tender. The green sauce that came with the empanadas was really good. Definitely coming back to try more!

Brand new and hitting it out of the park. The outlaw fries were amazing. The pork was perfectly seasoned. The dish was so nice. The garlic didn't overpower the dish. I loved it. The drunken hen sandwich was perfectly cooked. I liked rounds of cheese, they melted into the sandwich and stayed soft. The blackened fish tacos- very good. The mango was very fresh.

Google
My family and I ate here today and honestly had such a good experience!! The owners are so sweet and accommodating! They gave us an order of loaded fries and desserts on the house which was so kind!! Everything was delicious and the portions were generous! Thank you so much Drunken Hen for making my mom’s birthday celebration memorable! We will definitely be back again!

Google
I used to go there when it was called the Grey Lodge Pub! Went in for the first time yesterday since it's been a new spot now called the Drunken Hen with my mom for an early mother's day brunch with her and we enjoyed ourselves. Food was great, and the service given to us was excellent. We'll definitely be back!!!!!!!...

Google
Cozy spot for comfort food! Drunken Hen Eatery did not miss! The empanadas were crispy and flavorful, the pernil platter was melt-in-your-mouth good, and those blackened fish tacos? Next level. Can’t wait for the cocktails!

Google
What a great addition to the Northeast! Best empanadas in the city! Great beer selection, wine is coming which I am totally thrilled for. Cauliflower tacos were great.check this place out asap!

Google
Food was great and staff was friendly, the only reason it's not 5 stars is because it took over 40 minutes to get food for 2 people

Yelp
Hidden gem in NE Philly! The owners are wonderful and friendly. We got: Wings 8/10 (fresh) Outset fries 7/10 (loaded perfectly but a little too heavy for me) Fish tacos (9/10) Cauliflower tacos (I didn't try this, my niece wanted them) Chicken empanada (10/10) Beef empanada (8/10) too much filling for me... I know weird lol The green sauce for the empanadas was DELICIOUS.

Yelp
Firstly, great customer service, decent prices. The drunken hen Sando is tasty , mozzarella taste fresh and the seeded roll was soft and toasted, nice portion sandwich overall. 8/10 Beef empanadas .....were well done and stuffed, but too much cheese which made it difficult to taste anything else than the salty cheese flavor, 6/10. 3/$10 I ate half of 1 and will probably discard the other 2 and half pieces. Beef stew....just bland, oily hot water with chunks of beef and bits of carrots, it's like they forgot to season it. Disappointed that was a product they decided to put on their menu. Needs more r&d. 1/10. This was like $8, it's going in the trash. Pernil platter with yellow rice and beans....pork was seasoned and shredded 7/10..... rice n beans was meh regular...6/10.... Although the portions was plenty, not skimpy at all. This was $14 Coleslaw tastes store bought with extra sugar added $4, trash

Yelp
Although the Grey Lodge is long gone. its spirit lives on, reborn, reimagined and elevated in the Drunken Hen. The new owners, locals, understand its legacy. Paying tribute by reusing the upstairs bar as their counter and most of the iconic tile mosaics remain, not as relics, A bit of nostalgia wrapped in something exciting and new. The food. This is a more than a chicken joint There is roasted chicken, but the menu contains so much more, like Pernil, beef stew and assorted hot sandwiches. Now let me tell you about this food! Chopped salad generous and bring with a dressing that danced lightly over the greens, a perfect refresher as their AC was out. No worries there, they opened those big windows to let the breeze blow through, ensuring our comfort as we dined. The smash burger was indeed a SMASH! It quite literally raised my standard for what a burger should be. This wasn't just a good burger. This was a culinary work of art. perfectly seasoned fresh ground beef seared with love, slathered with garlicy aioli and served on a toasted bun that didn't just hold up - it showed up. The Drunken Hen - I have had this sandwich at several places recently and this one... it didn't just rise above - it flew! Chicken cutlet perfectly fried, juicy and tender, vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella all contained within a toasted bun that knew how to support the richness within. The owner and chef extraordinaire actually popped out to personally speak to us and thank us for stopping in. If you know anything about me and my reviews you know this is a benchmark of how I view a restaurant. The kind of humility and care, it's rare. It lets you know this is more than a business, it's a passion. The ability to realize that if it isn't for your customers, you wouldn't have a business. Taking the time to ask what could have been better and ensuring we were satisfied makes the difference in where I spend my money. Only open a few months and has a few good things "incubating" (Wines and Brews to come) Drunken Hen already has a lot to be proud of, I can't wait to try the rest of their food items and enjoy a nice glass of wine outdoors this summer! I not only recommend I urge you to give them a try. You won't regret it.

Yelp
You guys gotta get over to Drunken Hen! If you haven't been yet, you're really missing out. The food is spectacular, adult beverages are now available, the staff is SO sweet and accommodating.. couldn't ask for a better establishment to take over the property so many of us Mayfair natives knew well. (They even kept some of the same decor!) They also have some really cool additions on the horizon. Can't wait for that announcement and to have many more visits soon. They're located at 6235 Frankford Ave. (the old Grey Lodge )
