Google
Was looking forward to hitting this place and then Helene hit. Finally made it and it was worth the trip. Everything is fantastic. One of the best in Asheville.

Alex Davis

Google
They have my favorite sour ever! The peanut butter marshmallow was so good. They have a great selection of sour beers in general. I can’t wait to try the Durham location.

Randy Millson

Google
Very eclectic Brewery! We stopped in during a brewery crawl with some friends. They had a cask ESB on a hand pull. I have tried several this weekend and it has been the best. Served as a proper ESB should be, not too cold!

Amy Gelber

Google
Our friend took us here before the Billy Strings show. We loved all of the selections, including N/A options. The atmosphere is fun and light with the outside patio and the old school Starwars pinball. The staff was excellent at recommending options and did a great job of keeping the lines flowing quickly. I appreciated the inclusive space and community vibes.

Google
PB n J sour is pure amazing alchemy. You can taste the whole thing... peanut butter, bread, and jelly. Wow. Great taproom with lots of space. Friendly and knowledgeable beertender.

Erin Rose Raduazo

Google
Great beers and loved that they had Jell-O shots, however, $4.75 per flight pour- $19 total- is the most I have ever spent for 16 ounces of beer. Sorry but this is absolutely insane and overpriced.

Michael Doherty

Google
I had really high expectations for this brewery after doing an enormous amount of research. The space itself was neat and being downtown was cool. I liked that they had pinball too. But the beers I was expecting elite and I just didn’t feel that way. We tried 7 beers between two of us and the only one I thought was outstanding was one of the Hazys. I will try again next time I’m in town but I won’t prioritize it like I did this time

Google
Had a good time here. It was a nice small brewery with some good selections. I had an IPA. That was pretty good. Enjoy the outdoor seating. And the staff was really friendly with loud me to sample a couple before I decided to go with. They also had a few pinball machines to play with. Keep up the good work y’all

Yelp
The ambiance is a chill somewhat emo vibe. Casual and also the length of outdoor and indoor seating. Drinks!!! The most important thing. If you're a sweet kind of person order the PB and j engine sour beer. (It was my favorite) Coffee drinkers order tone death. Flights are an affordable 18$ if you can't make up your mind.

Yelp
We were in the downtown area for dinner and decided to have a nightcap at this brewery. When we got there, it was fairly late in the evening on a Wednesday night. There was plenty of open seating and this location is quite large so if you have a large group, this is a great location to come to. They have a large selection of beers. We did note that there were more IPAs than other types. My husband got one that was a cross between a German ale and a red ale & it's purposely served warmer than most beers. As funky as it sounded it had a very nice clean finish. I opted for the your solid gold, I'll see you in hell. I absolutely love this dark beer as it definitely had those notes of peanut butter and cocoa, which made it really sweet and delicious.

Yelp
Excellent brewery if you are looking for something offbeat! Gendered bathrooms but at least with queer flags everywhere! Nice, wide & smooth surfaces make it easy to maneuver wheelchairs, baby carriages, doggos, and more! It's obvious that a fuck ton of love and creativity goes into this establishment. The quirky alien/space theme is fantastic and this is sure to appeal to all geeks! Video games, scifi, monsters, foodies, city pigeon lovers... Really it just appeals to my exact interests lol but I hope it excites you as well, dear reader! The best thing about this place is the width breadth of drink options and the really unusual flavors! I had a sour peach ring beer and I never would have imagined needing it in my life but gosh it hit the spot! Same with the gluten free vegetarian sweet sour salty locally-made pad thai crunch bites! Yummmm. I lied though. The best best thing would be all the doggos chilling out in the patio garden area!!!

Yelp
So many options...Barleywine and pb stout were amazing! Great place...Love the vibe. Will be back one day.

Yelp
Friendly staff, amazing rum pinacolada slushies, tons of seating indoor or outdoor, great atmosphere and music playing.

Yelp
Y'all, this place is so rad!!! It's a great location with so much around and all very walkable. The inside is pretty stellar with some dope murals, cool art, awesome merch & damn good beer! They've also got a nice outdoor patio and a couple pinball machines. They do not have any food but there's several local businesses around that do. The staff were very friendly and polite. If you're a beer lover, definitely check these guys out!

Yelp
Great space and awesome beer selection! Would definitely recommend. The PB&J was amazing.

Yelp
First visit to this downtown Asheville brewery. I they have both indoor and a small outdoor sitting area. I went with their West Coast IPA - The hustle is hostile. And I wasn't a big fan of the spear and didn't feel that it represented the true West Coast IPA style. My wife had one of their sparkling wines - Something for Nothing. She didn't like hers at all. Not really our type of atmosphere. It wasn't chill at all as they were playing speed metal music over the 20 minutes we were there.

Yelp
We stopped in at DSSOLVR on a recent trip to Asheville. It was a Saturday night and not crowded but it is kinda far from other breweries in the area. The service was great! I'm not sure if they have food options available due to us just eating a large meal. It was a little slow for a Saturday night but then again it's away from the center of the other breweries. We had plenty of seating options, picnic tables inside, and a medium sized patio area where you could smoke. The seating on the patio was a bit more scant but we made do. I do wish they had some less hoppy options on the menu. Asheville is a big brewery town and the majority of the breweries carry a lot of IPA's which I'm not a fan of. My beer was good, however a little too hoppy for my taste, so perhaps a few extra light beers would be a great option.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Dissolvr for a while now and finally made it. The location and beers are very good and I'm glad I finally found the time to go! Definitely worth checking out while in Asheville, and the beers are among the best tasting I've tried!

Yelp
This brewery has such a cool vibe, a perfect spot to hang with a group and relax. They don't offer food so we brought in tacos from a local restaurant. I really enjoyed all the beers I sampled and the vibe inside was so cool. As a graphic designer their vibe was really cool for all the products. There was an outdoor patio that looked fun but I sat inside next to the 10 foot tall skeleton because it was so rad!

Yelp
Stopped in during their Shrektoberfest--absolutely hilarious. Gotta love a brewery with an epic atmosphere filled with overly enthusiastic members! Such a vibe here! Colorful, bright and vibrant. Staff and patrons were decked out in Shrek costumes which made the experience even better. Tried two beers and loved both of them. Definitely a great place to try some sours.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and beer. A must visit in Asheville. Had the Reapers and Creepers DDH Hazy IPA.
google avatar

Yelp
Great find! Lots of space. Fun vibe. Very interesting beers. Also wine, seltzer, mead and slushees. Good place to stop on NYE before a concert in town.
google avatar

Christina F.

Yelp
What a fun atmosphere! They also have some really unique beer options, and slushies! The slushies were a hit with our group, they were delicious. I enjoyed a cheesecake beer, wow it was like cheesecake in a glass. Awesome seasonal flavors and decor. The service was also spot on! This was my first time visiting this spot, even though I frequently visit Asheville. It definitely won't be my last visit, since everything was so unique and so delicious.

Yelp
Just got to Asheville. Was told we had to come here. Great first impression of Asheville! Delicious. Cool spot. Lots to choose from. Gonna have a few!

Ed A.

Yelp
Stopped by last night for a beer and cocktail. My beer was warm and hard to finish. The Cosmo was way too sweet. At least the drinks were inexpensive. We played trivia and that was fun.

Yelp
First stop when we arrived in Asheville. Ordered the Noodle Eraser and the Most Likely Aliens. The Noodle Eraser is easy drinking, but - shew - Most Likely Aliens is the opposite end of the spectrum. 12.5%. Fantastic Mexican chocolate after taste. I'm surprised at how quickly I finished that 5oz pour. So so tasty and definitely worth a try! Loved the atmosphere and the playlist brought me back to my early 2000s emo days. The Starting Line was playing as soon as we walked in. Haha. Such a throwback.

Yelp
What a great brewery and setting to enjoy their beers in. I'm a big fan of DSSOLVR beers, merchandise, and now - their brewery, too. So many great things on tap, but keep in mind that they do not do flights. You can order smaller sampler sizes of most of the beers individually though. I found this to be such a cool spot to hang out. The outdoor courtyard in the alley was a perfect place to relax and catch a breeze. They have plenty of seating indoors, too - and also pinball machines with beer holders! We were visiting from Florida and left with some cool merch and bellies full of good beer. Fresh, crisp IPA's and stouts every where you look. I would consider this a must-visit for any craft beer fan who found themselves near Asheville. I hope they stick around as long as possible. Long live DSSOLVER.

Yelp
I immediately fell in love walking inside. Pop punk music on the radio and plenty of room. Dog friendly and welcomes people from all walks of life, it comes equipped with a couple of pinball machines and a very quick and friendly bar staff with a variety of draft options for all types. I started with the Cider and it was tart, light, and honey sweet. I would definitely recommend stopping by on your visit downtown!

Yelp
Great drink selection and a fun atmosphere! Very clean and friendly. Worth stopping by to see the 12 ft skeleton

Yelp
This no-fuss, unpretentious brewery had lot of heart. I have to say I did not enjoy the cherry porter- it was sweet and sticky. But I loved that they have plenty of card games and board games available to amuse groups. We went on trivia night and I applaud them. I have never seen so much effort and work go into putting on trivia at a bar. The trivia was not at all traditional, if that's what you're looking for, but it was very fun. There was a physical challenge round, a family feud round, and all the questions required silly, lateral-thinking to puzzle out. This place is very cool, and more importantly, very dog friendly :)

Yelp
This is one of those places that when once you leave you already wish you had order more. Dssolver was a top location for Ben to visit during this visit to Asheville and they did not disappoint other than they didn't have any canned togo beers for him to bring back with us to Tampa. You order directly from the bar and then find a seat. The seating is pretty limited inside and they do have some outside seating on their patio. The tables inside are long bench seating. The staff was friendly offering information about the beers we had questions on outside of what is described on their boards but do note that this brewery does not offer samples or flights but you can get half pours. They had several beers that sounded delicious to all of us which made the decisions pretty difficult to decide but we all made sure we ordered something different to be able to try each others. Each of us enjoyed what we ordered and wished we had more time to order more. Ben definitely has tbis on his repeat list for the next time we are in Asheville.

Yelp
Such a fun place! I had the lucky sour. It was neon green, which was fun. It was yummy
google avatar

George F.

Yelp
We stopped in for a beer before dinner. Nice atmosphere. We both had their West Coast IPA. It was nice. I thought the tap list was far too cluttered with trendy options but they do seem to have something for everyone. Worth a visit.

Yelp
While visiting Asheville I knew I wanted to stop in at Dssolvr. I've been to AVL many times but never made it in and it's been on my bucket list. Some friends and I hung out for a couple hours and drank some beers, everyone enjoyed what they had and I was excited to try some beers we can't get back home! The brewery is beautiful, it's a mix of like death metal/rock vibes but also hipster/boho chic with the windows and plants. There were so many little details about the brewery that I loved absorbing, I walked around several times and noticed new things each time. From the stickers on the wall to the fun hallway leading to the bathroom, I was a very happy beer nerd during my time at DSSOLVR. In a city full of beer choices, I urge you to check out DSSOLVR, they've got a range of beers (even slushies) for all types of beer lovers or the not so beer lovers. Cheers!

Yelp
Cool atmosphere with cool assortment of drinks. Gives samples to try so I would recommend

Yelp
I'm not sure how I missed DSSOLVR my first time in Asheville, but I made it a point to visit this last time. It's a great space with a dope patio. All the beers my friends and I tried were great. There's something for everyone with styles raging from barrel aged stouts, to NE IPAS, to seltzers, to lagers. Lots of seating options inside and out, but you shouldn't miss the shady and multi-level patio. This is a brewery you can't miss if you visit AVL.
google avatar

Claire F.

Yelp
I guess I'm old now. We had to leave after 10 minutes because the music was so bad. Husband said beer was good, stars for the beers and non alcoholic options.
google avatar

Hannah L.

Yelp
Good vibes and good drinks would recommend to just chill with some unique drinks on tap.
google avatar

Yelp
I have seen their beers at bottle shops, restaurants and bars here in the Raleigh-Durham area and decided to check out the brewery last week when I was in Asheville. The space is nice and large and there is outdoor seating off to the side near the bar area. The staff on hand were polite and gave beer recommendations. No samples though prior to choosing. The menus are above the bar and are brightly lit. They offer light snacks such as chips and cheese puffs. I went with a 16oz Pyramid Games IPA and the Hustle is Hexed. Both were great and refreshing! I purchased a four pack of the Hustle to go. Like I've said, I have had their beers in the past and the products they produce are very good. The brewery is nice too. When in Asheville, pay them a visit!
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
Pretty calm brewery compared to the rest here in downtown. Good beers, good ambiance/vibe with indoor and outdoor space, but do hate that it's kind of out of the way / on the corner of town. Haven't tried food here (or know if they have food) but do love their service!
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
I fell in love with this place the moment we walked through the door. It was everything my punk emo heart needs in a brewery. They have plenty of options for beverages, ranging from the IPAs to a collab with Edward Teach. The space is pretty large with an outside area. They also had food on site. They had a brick oven pizza right in their courtyard. Overall great drinks and great hangout spot.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Cool brewery! Stopped here before a Bon Iver concert. Grabbed myself an Escape Engine (piña colada cheesecake sour) and Friends Long Absent (fruited gose) and was very pleased with both. Be prepared to sweat if it's a hot day; luckily they have industrial fans to help keep cool. DISSOLVR also offers board games, an outdoor space, and plenty of chill.
google avatar

Lindsey R.

Yelp
Hands down the best brewery. The unique flavors stand out and keep DSSOLVR in a league of its own. Anything seltzer and marshmallow are phenomenal. This is my neighborhood brewery and couldn't be happier with the brews they create. Staff is friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Brian J.

Yelp
The beer is fantastic here. Makes me jealous I can't get more access to their stuff. I visited here while I was on vacation and they were easily within the top 3 breweries I went to in Asheville.
google avatar

Ralf L.

Yelp
We stopped in on a Saturday night and the place was dead. Beer was ok but nothing special. They seam to want to be the alternate Burial Beer Brewery, but there beers are not that special.

Ryan W.

Yelp
Nice variety of classic style beers, as well as hazy IPAs and Pastry Stouts. Staff was knowledgeable on the draft list, and helpful with suggestions. Relaxed atmosphere, making it a nice spot to hang out and have a beer with friends. Wish I could stay longer!
google avatar

Jenifer S.

Yelp
Man I love the vibe of this brewery! Sunday soundtrack was on point and sitting there watching foot traffic and reading. Great service and fantastic sours to pick from. Two thumbs up!

Yelp
I used to drop about six Yelp reviews a week back with the old normal. Now since Covid-19 landed I cut it back to two a week. So why almost five in one week when we are far from the old normal? It's what quite a few people do, especially Yelp users. It's close to time to upgrade a new phone and getting images off of the phone becomes an early task in getting a phone upgrade so I will be dropping a lot of reviews until that ends. So with that said despite cutting way back in reviews I am still experiencing a lot of businesses, restaurants, breweries and attractions that kept me plenty busy during the pandemic. DSSOLVR is one such brewery I have enjoyed during the pandemic. Their beer is unique and very flavorful. It has about everything that I'm looking for with a brewery as far as concept and creativity goes recipe and art wise. I have had three very enjoyable beers from DSSOLVR and all of them were a real joy to drink! The Thank You For Existing kolsch was so refreshing and enjoyable on the hot summer day that we were experiencing the day we were trying the three beers and it was something I think I could have had a few of. But we moved on to some other beers... The next beer we tried was the Fractal Breakfast which was a real fun fruited sour that we had. Perhaps not my favorite out of the three but the beer is well crafted and excellent for what it is! The final beer was another fruited sour and I liked this one almost as much as the kolsch! The Royal Murmurs had a pineapple and marshmallow features to it which created a very unique flavor profile which was something very memorable! DSSOLVR has lots of beer options and varying style. Many of them continue to be very unique. I would love to try out more of their beers and explore their other recipe styles and forms!

Alexis P.

Yelp
Liam is the best bartender I've ever had! He gave great recommendations! Great atmosphere! Loved it there

Yelp
Best new brewery in Asheville and my current favorite. Great location as an alternative to heading down to South Slope all the time. They always have a variety of beers on draft, focusing on IPAs and Lagers yet consistently flanked by a few stouts, wilds, or more. Whether I'm stopping by in the evening for a dessert-y pastry stout or ending an afternoon run with a refreshing DIPA or pilsner their beers are all top quality. While they also serve some guest ciders and wines they do plan on also making their own cider, wine, and even mead so there will be something for everyone. They do offer flights but they are brewer's choice. You can order a lager flight or an ale flight; check their menu online or on Untappd to see which 4 of each are on draft at the moment. Most everything on draft is served in two sizes, with the exception of the highest and lowest ABV beers typically just being available in a small snifter or a giant pilsner glass. They do not have a kitchen, but there are kiosks setup to order delivery from a couple nearby restaurants including Aux Bar across the street. Also be aware that after 7PM no minors are allowed. Dogs are allowed, but only in their outdoor patio area which is accessible from the north side of the building.

Yelp
On my recent excursion to Asheville, my friends had mentioned to me about this place called DSSOLVR. Having visited the area at least a couple of times before and frequenting most of the breweries, the realization of a new one appearing on the scene surprised me since I hadn't received any word of this opening. But happiness consumed me as I entered through the large wooden doors of this lovely, brick-built establishment that offered a delicious array of craft beers. With a yellow gate partitioning off the production part of the brewery from the taproom, DSSOVLR has high ceilings and lots of space to bring people and enjoy great beers. They have stylish can labels for the brews they produce and distribute that catch the eye, consisting of styles of beers ranging from lagers to stouts to wild ales. The Era is Now American Wild Ale tasted of magical oneness that took me to a place of joyous jovialness from which there were blue skies and chocolate cream pies; only this was night time and there was no chocolate cream pies actually insight. But I digress. The blended wild ale was wonderful magic. I wish we had more time to check out more beers as we were checking out some ghost tour on the edge of town. But this brewery has the beers and feel to stand next to such stalwarts as Burial, Hi-Wire, and Bharmari.

Kari H.

Yelp
Awesome environment, great beer. Would recommend. Came in on a later Friday night, people at the bar were super helpful with picking a drink.
google avatar

Jackie D.

Yelp
The picture below is the giant skeleton they have in the brewery right now...Which I think a huge Fred Durst, lol. In all seriousness, the beer is always on point here. From the time they opened through just a couple of weeks ago, I've visited about a dozen times. I'm always happy, and always happy to come back.
google avatar

Gabi T.

Yelp
Stopped in at 10:52 on a Friday to buy some four packs to go and was told they were closed and wouldn't sell even to go. Their closing time is 11 on Friday. Before going in, the people outside told me they just got kicked out because the brewery was closing. Once again, this time was before the actual closing time. Went back the next day and the beer was alright. Long story short, I didn't miss out on anything by being denied service. But if closing is a particular time, you should be allowed to at least buy to go packs until this time. Lame, and not worth a stop in. Especially with so many options around the city.
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
I like trying cans from this brewery from my local bottle shop so I knew I had to visit during this trip to Asheville. My husband and I stopped in for two rounds, the Brain Oasis (IPA) and Born in the Juicy (IPA) for me and the Full Loop (Irish dry stout) and Thank You for Existing (kolsch) for my husband. The beers are funky and the atmosphere is chill. It's definitely worth checking out if you are in Asheville.
google avatar

Alan H.

Yelp
Great selection of beers including IPAs and sours...they even have slushies for a hot day! No flights or samples - but no need, the drinks were excellent. Lots of room to sit, but no A/C - cool down with more drinks!
google avatar

Sophia N.

Yelp
A cool cidery with a lot of unique flavors and some other frozen options for those who aren't that into beer. I got the Escape Engine and it really tasted like a pina colada cheesecake as a drink. I will definitely be back to try some of their other flavors!
