DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

First time going here recommended by the foot locker sales kid, as we have a wide feet hard to find wide shoes so came here I was wowed by so many great brand selections. The Manager is not friendly or maybe just tired but regardless no “Thank you” whatsoever smh. The cashier girl who assisted me is so friendly but seems to be afraid to talk to her manager because she was hesitant of calling him when it’s nearly closing and she needs assistance since she doesn’t know how to punch in certain things in the register. I hope the manager will be more friendly and accommodating towards the staff so they can do their job better. Sorry but It doesn’t feel good to go in when you don’t see a welcoming staff/manager. Other than that, they have wide variety selection of shoes and etc… But I’d hope they have more wide shoes for kids.

Terrible, slow service, overpriced shoes of bad quality. You’re better off going into one of the shoe stores in the mall.

I went in there to find out if an email I was sent was out of date or not it was sent to me yesterday but apparently it expired in July. That's fine but the girl was not nice and she raised her eyes like I was annoying her. I found a pair of shoes and there was a sign on there saying it was 20% off tried them on and they fit and Then I was waiting on the line. There was seven people in line and only one person at the counter. The woman that wasn't very nice. They must have been at least a half a dozen or more people roaming around. So when I finally got there to pay for my stuff she tells me that there was no sale and it's showing up as the regular price. I walk around I asked the guy for a manager or supervisor and he asked me what I wanted and I told him about the sign of 20% off. He said oh that happens all the time they don't take the sign off I said yeah but if that be the case that's your whole not mine and I should get the 20% off and he said we don't do that. Now I have been buying from DSW for many years my daughter as well and this is the first time I have had such treatment. I don't like your people that works in that dsw. This was on Staten Island on Richmond avenue near the mall.

Not a large selection of footwear, and I felt it was understaffed. No help to be found, and I had to wait online to return unwanted sneakers. There was no expedited return line. This store is the only one on the island. I feel it is not the worst and can improve if they tried. I go there a lot but have a hard time finding things that peak my interest. This time I visited this store to return the item.

In terms of discount, there are just 2 aisles for men discount shoes and a super limited selection. Just avoid this store and do your shopping online.

First time shopping in this store. I browsed for sandals, they had a large selection but not many sizes left as it’s August. Found a pair in my size, it was the only pair in a plain non labelled box with no top. There was no price info on it, so I thought I would save the cashier (and myself) some time by putting the shoes in a labelled box. When I got to the register there were 5 people ahead of me, the line was SUPER slow and I waited over 30 min to get to the cashier. My cashier Amnit (sp?) asked if I was a rewards member and I said no and she proceeded to ask me 3 more times if I wanted to join, even though I told her firmly each time that I wasn’t interested. Then she asked me what size the shoes were and that they weren’t in the right box, so I told her I put the shoes in a labelled box so she didn’t have to search for the info. She said of course that other box had info and basically acted like I was a liar for trying to do her a favor. Then she took the shoes out of the brand box and put them in a plain enormous brown box with no lid. I asked if I could have my original box because I like to keep my shoes organized, but nope, that wasn’t an option. After spending almost $100, you would think you could at least have your brand box. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The whole experience was one big absurd drama about ‘a box’. I can find all of these shoe brands online, with no drama, so I definitely won’t be shopping here again.

A little bit overcrowded during sale events. The prices are OK but if you compare it with online stores it is higher In this very store there is a chance to see something very cool, my suggestion is to walk all the lines and then go to the end of the store for the clearance shelves. You could find here almost the same shoes but with 50% off.

I planned to buy some shoes but it turns out I am in the wrong social group and 20% extra discount wont apply to my purchase like it does to teachers and students. What is wrong with these people, why they always have to discriminate against someone?

Not the biggest DSW store that I've been to, but finally found a hiking shoe/ boot that I was looking for. Tried several stores in the area, Modell's & Dicks just to name a few. The salesman pointed me in the direction of what I was looking for and they just weren't meeting my needs. Actually was ready to walk out when over just one aisle I found them. Geared mainly for women and kids, these stores are a basically a brand name shoppers paradise. Pretty decent selection of men's shoes are available. A lot less chaotic than larger shoe stores . If their is anything that I like, it's a good bargain. Purchased what I was looking for and saved $40 off the marked price. Just because they had a red dot on the box. Merrill was the original brand, but settled on a pair of Wolverines instead. Hey it's certainly better than going to the SI Mall. Such a deal.

terrible customer service. Bought 2 pairs of boots and did an in store pickup. Service was dreadful. People unpleasant, one literally ignored my request for help and left. When I finally got my items they didn't even bother to give me a bag. Like WTF? I will be spending my dollars elsewhere. Yo DSW, have you guys ever heard of Amazons try till you buy? Yeah, I give this chain another 2 years

So it's almost like they don't want to sell you shoes. I walked in and asked for a size and the guy working there, said to me that he can't get it because they're short staffed and he's by himself in the stock room... if you work in the stock room then isn't it your job specifically to get shoes from the back? He said order them online for curbside pick up. So that's what I did since I needed a specific kind of shoe for work. And the next day they canceled the order when I called the women who answered had such an attitude saying that they're short staffed and prob got canceled because they don't have anyone to go get the shoe from the stock room. This location specifically is such a joke

I placed an online order. I went to pick it up and after waiting on a ten minute line, I gave the girl my info for her to grab my order. I'm standing there another ten minutes and the girl never came back. I had to ask another cashier for assistance and she took another 5 minutes. So now 25 minutes later I finally get my order. The cashier just handed me the box of shoes and pocketbook, no bag, no receipt. This was definitely not a good experience and I will not be returning there to shop.

The Staten Island location of DSW is massive, clean, organized, and filled with aisles and aisles of moderately priced men's and women's shoes. No children's or luxury items here, but you'll find lots of casual, evening, active and professional footwear under $150 in the regularly priced sections, but the real steals are in the sale section at the back of the store. Of all of the DSW's I've visited, this one consistently has a well stocked sale section. I have a common shoe size and found that other locations run out of the stylish sale shoes quickly. Today I purchased a great pair of Guess wedges for $30. What a great find! Only complaint is the checkout line. It took 15-20 minutes. There were only two cashiers available and at least 7 guests waiting to purchase their items. A third cashier became available only after I approached the manager who had been pacing between the registers and the front of the store. The issue was resolved almost immediately but a customer shouldn't have to complain to get a swift check out. Nonetheless, the selection of shoes is fantastic and the sales are even better.

The only pair of shoes in the entire store that are 70% off. Epitome of false advertisement.

This store used to be fine but now a disaster. The sales staff is almost non existent. The man at the register the last couple of times that I was there is nasty , incompetent and rude. The checkout is extremely slow and the management apparently doesn't care that the customers are inconvenienced by this. I will not return to this location and I am making a complaint with DSW .

Great selection. Great prices. Great coupons and clearance sales. Naturally, many people shop here. So what's the problem?? NO SALES HELP AND ONLY 2 REGISTERS OPEN. NOT GOOD DSW! You can do better. You know people wait complacently on a long line. Not me. Get more help. Come on. Pay someone a lousy $15 an hour to expedite those long long lines.

their website says they close at 9 and i arrived at their store at around 7:45. doors were locked but there was a doorbell that i had to ring so i did multiple times and nothing happened. there was about 5 workers in there watching me standing outside confused and wouldn't do a thing. like have some decency to tell a customer what's going on or if y'all closed early.... it ain't hard at all. i can feel the nasty attitude through the glass and i tried to knock like multiple times and got ignored at all. like honestly im so confused a simple "sorry we're closed" could've had me going on my away but they chose arrogance instead!!! never going back.

Pretty nice store, it's large and the selection is its strength. I was actually surprised by how wide a variety of shoes were actually pretty affordable. I didn't think $90 could buy you so many options, at least for males.

Fact: Girl can never have too many shoes. Give me warehouse full of them, aisles and aisles of shoes - and I am in shoe heaven.... Dressy shoes, pumps, platforms, kitten heels, ballet slippers, sandals and sneakers - all in one place. In every color you can imagine. For any occasion. Any season. Perfect! Note: Get a Reward Card if you shop here often, you will get $10 discounts and other specials once in a while.

Went here to find a simple pair of jogging shoes. I wear a size 7 and of course that was the one size that was missing from the shelf. I asked the gentleman to see if there was a pair In the back. Turns out there was but it took at least 15 mins. Other then that I woulda gave five stars because over selection is very good and the prices are reasonable.

I just love how organized and clean the store is!! The cashier at this store was soo sweet!! (I wished I had gotten her name and it sucks receipt didn't have it!) she was super sweet and so helpful, so much better than the nightmare I had to endure at encore shoe department! They didn't have these 2 sizes I needed in the store, but she quickly helped me find it online and had it placed for me! She showed so much empathy and concerns for the customers!

I just woke up and im in shoe heaven!! This place is so big i need at least 2 hrs to look then try on everything!! They have great sales.. Staff is nice and its really organized! Thank you shoe gods..

Pretty big store with all type of shoes even for men too at low prices! What girls don't love designer shoes for lower prices.

Good prices, good selection a bit unorganized (looks to be more of the patrons running wild than a lack of attention by staff) not bad what could make it better ? Maybe more personal service? People to assist? Anyway for the prices its solid can't go wrong

Love love LOVE DSW!!! Huge selection. Excellent prices. You can find REALLY good deals in the clearance section. This particular store was kept neat and the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely going back!

This shoe store sucks the service I got from Brendan was horrible he tried stealing my shoes and putting them up for sale I feel as if he should be fired

I actually hate this store. I know it sounds crazy for a girl to dislike a shoe store but I never spend more than $80 on shoes and with that criteria the selection is VERY limited. Anytime I find boots I love they end up being $180 or a pair flats I like they're $75. I'll stick to the amazing sales and friends and family deals at Macy's for designer shoes.

DSW on the whole has unbeatable prices. DSW in Staten Island also has unbeatable customer service. Yetty was very helpful and the manager John ditto. Doesn't get much better than that.

I get shoes for $130 and after less than six months I found the bottom with big holl in each side I went back to the store the CS mane John treat me bad I will never go back to this store Ivan

I've always liked shopping at DSW there are so many choices, brands that I like and reasonable prices. But today has sealed the deal for me. I basically went in to ask a question about a pair of sneakers I had purchased a while ago that had ripped and I didn't have the receipt. Everyone was helpful and extremely curteous and they gave me a refund in the form of a gift card. I will do all my shoe shopping here from now on. WTG DSW and thank you!!!
