"Dual Specialty Store, a South Asian spices and dry goods shop, has expanded to Williamsburg. The store has been in East Village for almost three decades, and now it has a brand new Brooklyn location at 321 Broadway." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya
The woman at the register was nice, and the guy I asked for help was cool at first, but he seemed to be watching my every move and following me. He even watched me get into my car lol. I’ve shopped here several times before and spent a lot of money, and now that I think about it, the other guy who helped me in the past always seemed uninterested whenever I asked about items or the oils. They have good products, but being watched so closely was very off-putting. I won’t be back.

I love this store! They have everything you need plus fun extras, like totes and candles. I was looking for a net french “grocery bag" and found a really unique and well made one here.

This store has expired food—literally everything. And the cashier is the worst. He is so rude and won't reply properly. This has happened to me for the second time now. (You need to change this dude.) It seems like he doesn’t want to work there and is forced, lol.
But don’t waste your time going to this store. You won't find anything.

Large selection, but you can tell a lot of things are expired. The cashier kept shooing me to different aisles when I’d ask where something was after I’d already looked myself, and it was like pulling teeth to get him to show me specifically where things were. He huffed away and went back to his register and said he was out of what I was looking for when I got him to assist me. When I was checking out, I asked the cashier if he was doing alright and he responded with “Why? Is there a problem?”. I said I was just trying to be friendly and he said “I’m just working.” I should’ve walked out by then. So much for supporting local small businesses. He’d been a little less terse with the chatty fairer skinned patrons before me, so it’s hard to not read into the interaction.

I have been coming to duals for two years now and have always had a wonderful experience. Every single herb and wellness need is here and for a good price! I especially appreciate that all the herbs are labelled with their history, benefits, and uses! The people working there have always been helpful and kind to me, I always leave with a smile. I tell all my friends to go support them. Really so grateful to have this resource !

Yelp
They have an amazing selection of things like incense, non-toxic toothpastes and soaps, rice, spices, mushroom coffee, cacao and other healthy things that's otherwise hard to find in Brooklyn. Not a fan of all the plastic bag packaging but at least I can find all kinds of detoxifying products. Usually friendly and they take EBT. I like the way it smells.

Yelp
This place have a lot of herbs. I came all the way from Jersey to come here but the person who was the cashier was very dry, unwelcoming and short with his answers. Not the welcome I want when I came a long away. I would rather go to the one on 1st avenue where they were kind or the one on Franklin that has great reviews. And turn off the Christmas Music if you are not going to have a cheerful mood.. its January 4th!

Yelp
Great natural market for a range of imported spices, seasonings, snacks and scents, affordable prices and a range of products for all your needs. Charcoal toothpaste? Yes, they have it. Convenient location close to the subway. Beautiful wall of incense, sage sticks, and oils. Definitely recommend this little shop.

Yelp
I love this shop. There is a slight language barrier with staff. So come with your own knowledge of what you are looking for. Their labels have thorough descriptions that make it easier to pick n choose what you need. You can find many varieties. Highly recommend

Yelp
Great clean store with a very wide selection of South Asian/Middle Eastern foods and spices, and teas--and all the miscellaneous accessories that go with them. Sooo nice to have one in the North Brooklyn area. And they are open during a pandemic so customer service is A+++

Yelp
This one isn't as stocked as the one in Manhattan but it's great to be able to get some of these items closer to my house. You can get an amazing assortment of spices and herbs here at low prices. Highly recommended!
