It was my boyfriend’s 25th birthday and we decided to celebrate at Duane’s. It was a very romantic atmosphere. The service was wonderful, as well as everything we ordered. Thank you Duane’s for a beautiful experience, we will definitely be returning!

Alisa, our server, was an absolutely incredible individual that went above and beyond to make our evening truly exceptional. We shared that we were honoring the memory of a loved one who passed away 5 years ago. She was so supportive, offering encouragement and condolences throughout our meal. We shared personal stories and I felt as though she could easily be family. She made our night truly memorable 💕

Really romantic and upscale. The food was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were great. Do not pass up the opportunity to taste the truffle Mac and cheese. It's amazing. The service was great and attentive.

The Worst “Fine Dining” Experience I’ve Ever Had From the moment we walked into Duane’s , this dinner was a disaster. We asked for a highchair immediately because we had a toddler with us. We had to ask multiple times before anyone bothered to bring one. That was the first red flag. Next, we requested a gluten-free menu because our son has celiac disease. Not once. Not twice. Three times. No one ever provided it. Instead, our waiter shrugged and told us he “thinks most things are gluten-free.” That casual ignorance toward a medical need is unacceptable and dangerous. Then came the food, after TWO HOURS of waiting. We were a large family gathering, and not a single one of the nine steaks was prepared correctly. At that point, we asked to speak with a manager. We waited another 30 minutes just for the manager to show up. Enter Lena, who was hands-down the worst part of the entire experience. Instead of listening or trying to help, she questioned every detail, dismissed our concerns, and refused to take accountability. She made excuses, argued, and acted like we were the inconvenience. There was zero professionalism, zero empathy, and zero effort to correct the situation or make it right. Duane’s may want to be seen as fine dining, but their service, food, and management are nowhere close. This was one of the most frustrating, disappointing dinners our family has ever had. Do yourself a favor and dine somewhere that respects its customers. See pictures, these steaks were ordered as medium.

We came here for our anniversary dinner and overall had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a special evening out. The food was great, although the bone-in ribeye wasn’t quite to our liking at first. Thankfully, the staff was very accommodating and quickly replaced it with a bone-out version that we really enjoyed. There was a bit of a lapse in service when our waiter forgot about us for a while, which was a little disappointing. However, the overall experience more than made up for it, and we would definitely come back again.

I'm usually pretty picky with “Steakhouses” these days, but Duane's is the place to go for some good steaks. We started with the amazing crab cakes as appetizers (perfect consistency). For our mains, the steaks (I got the 16oz ribeye) were cooked a perfect medium rare, and the classic Steak Diane was exceptional. Our server, Dean, was awesome; he had perfect timing, kept our drinks refilled and checked on us at all the right moments (not neglecting guests but also not being too pushy). The food was flawless and the service was top-notch. We'll definitely be back. Very nice high-end steakhouse worth the money. 5/5.

Capped off a great day at the Mission Inn with a late night dinner at Duane’s. We had a late lunch at the Mission Inn restaurant and enjoyed the bar, decor and hotel long enough to get hungry again. We put our names on the wait list and waited until almost 9pm. Very few guests left and not sure all the staff that remained appreciated the late seating, but were pleasant enough. You could tell it was a long day/evening for most, but was understandable. Had a great rib eye steak. One of the best I’ve ever had, which was a surprise based on reviews, but I know what I like and it was great. The lobster tail add on was just ok and thought the Caesar salad was overpriced but good. Definitely enough food for two as we had leftovers for the next day. Definitely worth a try if in the neighborhood. Almost an hour drive for us, so have to limit to holidays or when passing through, but really capped off a great day/night at the Mission Inn.

My family has been going to Duane’s for years, and it used to be one of our favorite places. The service was always great and the food consistently incredible. Unfortunately, the past two years have been a steady decline, and after tonight, we won’t ever be returning. From the moment we sat down, everything was an issue. We asked for a high chair three separate times, didn’t receive enough menus, had missing waters, and they never even took our drink order. Our food took 1 hour and 50 minutes to come out, and when it finally did, not a single steak was cooked correctly. They were so undercooked we couldn’t even cut into them—maybe 120–130 degrees at best. When we raised our concerns, there wasn’t even a manager on site. They had to call someone in, and when she arrived, she was dismissive, unhelpful, and honestly made the situation worse. For a restaurant with Duane’s reputation, this was shocking. The bathrooms were also a mess—the women’s was closed entirely and the men’s was disgusting. My family has loved Duane’s for years, but something has seriously changed. Whether it’s new management or a complete lack of standards, this place is no longer what it used to be. At this point, you’d get better service and better food at Chili’s. We won’t be back.

We went to celebrate our birthdays. Beautiful ambiance.. first class! Service was wonderful and attentive. Thanks, Dean! We both ordered filet mignon. It was prepared to perfection. We also added on lobster. It was just so-so. Hard to cut and a bit grisly. The lobster bisque and french onion soup were both very delicious. We both received complimentary tiramisu for our birthday. All in all, a very nice meal. It was pricey, but we're worth it. Lol!

This review is not out of spite or intended to randomly lash out..... it's based on basic, simple expectations at a "5 star" dining venue that were not fulfilled, on many levels. #1 elegance is not defined by time spent..... waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for acknowledgment, then drinks then food. Several hours- not ok. #2 two different fish entrees ordered..... one, the size of two end to end miniature snickers bars with a tomato on the plate and the other ????? An over cooked, fishiest of fishy smelling and tasting, chunk of really unenjoyable meat. #3 the 90 dollar steak..... looked so sad on the plate.. all alone and not cooked as requested..... and slightly tender I guess, sorta..... well not really. #4 let's just say, ..... Risotto should never be crunchy. Nothing about this meal could justify $100.00 a person..... Plus the time, it took to endure it.....oh geez....

It's no wonder that, over the years, celebrity guests have ranged from Theodore Roosevelt to Albert Einstein (the Mission Inn even invites visitors to sit in a wildly oversized chair that once belonged to William Howard Taft). Nowadays, this luxe hotel is the cornerstone of Downtown Riverside, and its flagship restaurant Duane's Prime Steak and Seafood (named for Mission Inn owner Duane Roberts) is among the most lavish meals that the Inland Empire has to offer. My family has typically visited Duane's for the opulent brunch buffet, but the dinner service has also been a longtime favorite for an in-town special occasion. Live piano fills the Duane's brightly lit bar-foyer. Enter past the host stand into the dimly lit, multi-roomed dining area. Arched doorways, exposed wood, and faux brick all channel Mission Revival style decor. Upholstered chairs are pressed up to the white-clothed tables. The dark, ornate carpeting looks like an antique rug. Unobtrusive elevator music mixes with the low din of chatter. My family visited for a weekend dinner, and the restaurant only ever reached about three-quarters capacity. The French Onion Soup boasted an extra-rich broth swimming with bits of onion and saturated brioche; my only criticism was that I would've welcomed a heartier portion of molten cheese. Meanwhile, the bacon- and bleu-heavy Innkeeper Salad reminded me of a Cobb except with a vinegar-based dressing. Across the mains, I was most impressed by the Classic Steak Diane. The exquisitely tender filet medallions were perfectly complemented by the hearty mushroom sauce. Further, the potatoes and carrots were simple yet well-executed. Meanwhile, the Peppercorn Prime New York was good-not-great. Namely, the steak felt undersauced and underseasoned. That being said, the melt-in-your-mouth brussel sprouts and smooth celery root puree accompaniments were excellent. The a la carte Colorado Lamb Chops easily fell off the bone, and the tasty flavor was further enhanced by the slightly minty sauce. Lastly, the Truffle Mac & Cheese and the Creamed Spinach both were liquidy but otherwise had full-bodied flavors. The service was impeccably attentive and professional, but the near-$100 entrees still invoked a gut-punch reaction. Across all of the dishes, only the Steak Diane felt worthy of its premium price tag. Nonetheless, the posh experience was uniquely suited for a special occasion in a way that few other Riverside restaurants could replicate.

Food was amazing. Took my wife for her birthday. I had the lamb chops and French onion soup and wife had the ribeye and lobster bisque. The service was great the sever was friendly and was very knowledgeable on the wines and food.

Came here while staying at the hotel . We started with an excellent red wine as well as Duane's Old Fashioned accompanied with fresh baked warm bread and butter. We started with the crab cake - perfectly crispy exterior , I only wish there was more sauce ! We also tried the lobster bisque which was good but I recommend eating immediately, we let ours get a little too cool and didn't enjoy it as much . For dinner we went with peppercorn steak and the organic chicken . Both were great ! I wasn't a huge fan of the potatoes that came with the steak as they were a little sweet. The risotto with the chicken was so creamy and absolutely delicious ! We unfortunately were too full for dessert ! Service was very friendly and quick ! We enjoyed the paintings in the restaurant but would have loved to hear some piano or light music in the background to go with the ambiance !

It has been 14 years since I've been here. This time around, reservations are made through Open Table. Much easier to go this route than trying to call directly to make an appointment especially when the holidays is a busy time. Upon arrival, we were seated and greeted by our server. We were a party of 4 and 3 of us ordered the rib-eye and once the organic half chicken. Sides were asparagus, salad, and bake potato. Everything you order is a la carte and all cooked to exactly how we liked it. The ambience is very classy, romantic and well decorated; after all, it is the Christmas season. Beautiful decoration of Christmas trees and lots of lights surrounds the entire restaurant and in the entrance checkin area of the hotel where Duane's is located inside. For me and my family, coming here for us, would be for a special occasion that would be celebrating. If you do valet parking near The Mission, Duane's also validates your parking ticket at a discount rate.

Came here for a surprised birthday dinner with my husband and I was very happy with my time here. The drinks were strong and good, the food was tender, soft and had great flavor. My husband made reservations and it was easy check in, had no issues. Our waitress and her assistant were great and attentive. All in all I was very happy with my time here

The food was amazing. Steak was tender, juicy and flavorful mmmmmm Mac n cheese rivals my favorite aunties and the drinks...excellent creamy deliciousness. Add to the fact that we were eating in a beautifully restored historic hotel sprinkled with the most friendly fast attentive food server EVER!!!!!! Made for an awesome experience. Thank you

Guess the management team decided it was time to change the menu or at least decrease the portion sizes Ordered the Salmon and what I got was a strip of salmon cooked so dry that it was a good thing g it came with a lemon to add flavor to it, that a grape tomato because they no longer do the cheese tomato Don't hi k I'll be coming back here of this is what the menu is turning into Oh and almost forgot $23 for a Lemon Drop ..... WTH ??

The service was horrible! The waiters are lousy. We were there for over 2 hours and never had dessert. Basically because we were forgotten at our table. After 10 years of going there for the holiday we will never go back.

It's been awhile since I've been to Duane's but it was still 5 star . All the staff were friendly and provided above excellent service from the hostess to the gentleman that cleared the table. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu including the wine list. The menu changes seasonally so there's always something new to try. We had the Kobi cooked on a stone at our table. It was a fun experience and just melted in our mouths. The hummus was amazing as well as the crème brûlée. Paired it all with a bottle of Pinot Noir. Duane's will always be a go to at The Mission Inn.

Excuse my blurry picture, but I was too eager to dive in. This meal was very anticipated as I got to join three fabulous professors after a guest speaker series along with some of my peers. After some great conversations, we were all really hungry and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna and I'm proud to say I did not have any leftovers. It was so delicious and the flavor was phenomenal. We had a few cocktails and those were also fantastic. I can't wait for my next visit to Duane's.

My husband & I have been to this great restaurant many times! It's historical looking with very cool pictures on the wall. We always ask for the same waitress, Alisa. Her customer service is above & beyond. She is just wonderful & very informative about the menu. The food is also delicious. Filet mignon is my favorite there

Dean is a great asset to this organization. Food was as expected after being out of state for years but having been a customer for 30+years EXCELLENT. Service was perfect and when back in California will return. Dean is a reason to return he makes the experience.

Can't say enough about this place! A real gem with all the great feels of an elegant chophouse dinner!! All items are a la carte so it's a better pick and choose style of dining! The service was great, Mario was on point all night and was very patient as we had a new baby with us. The menu was explained along with drink and wine pairing recommendations...being in the food industry I can appreciate the nostalgic feel! Overall experience was great, yet again! I took my wife here for the last few anniversaries and valentines days since there is not a whole lot of fine dining in the region. The food never disappoints! The ambiance is upscale and fancy. Despite some people showing up in T-shirt's and jeans, most wear professional casual. The center cut filet is amazing and always cooked perfectly. My wife loves the steak Diane. We enjoy the crab cakes and selection of desserts. Our favorite drinks include the Last Word for me and the Painkiller for her. -1 star for pricing. I grew up in Newport Beach and enjoyed fine dining. We still go back often and never pay prices like this for steaks, seafood, lobster. $75 for just the filet and no sides? $26 crab cake! -1 star for service. Valentine's Day they automatically hit you with 20% tip and the guy we had did not deserve it. This last Friday we had a nice woman who kept us waiting forever. Drinks and apps were quick, but we probably had our entrees for an hour before she came back to check for dessert. Either she had too many tables assigned to her or she just couldn't manage. The other tables were not happy either. She took the dessert menu from us once we ordered and passed it to the table across from us. Again, very nice but not efficient with checking in. Spent $300+ tip for 2 of us. 6pm reservation and left by 9pm...easily 1 hour longer than it should have been.

Came back after a little over a year and everything was just as great. The service like before has always been amazing. Our food including appetizers were delicious. Our server was so nice to even bring us a delicious slice of tiramisu. It was the first time taking my daughter and she said the place felt so nice and in her words fancy. She loved her first experience at an upscale restaurant.

Staying at Mission Inn Hotel for a wedding. Made reservations to Duane's ahead of time just in case it gets busy but the place was pretty empty. We were sat on a corner where the booth next to us was facing our table. It felt uncomfortable. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir. It was decent. Shared a caesar salad. It lacked taste. It was very bland. The rib eye steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. Side of asparagus and mushrooms were okay. To end the dinner, we ordered the bread pudding and it was the star of the evening.

We were so excited to spend our 51st wedding anniversary at this beautiful restaurant at the iconic Mission Inn. The service was poor & inefficient, steak was rare instead of medium, no attention to details, such as Special occasion Anniversary dinner which was mentioned on reservation & when we checked in. A server brought water, asked if we were celebrating something special, we said yes & asked if we'd like to order a drink, I asked for wine list and he never came back. About 20 minutes later, Mario stepped in, noticed we weren't being helped & took our drink order, he was very nice & attentive. The restuarant was not very busy, Sunday night. I expected a better dining experience. Will not go back to or reccomend this place.

Melody served us tonight. She was so kind and attentive. She even offered to take photos of us with our desserts. The Ribeye steak was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked the way I ordered it. A great experience for our 4 year wedding anniversary.

Wife and I ate here yesterday evening for our 5th year anniversary / early Mother's Day. We checked in half an hour early with the hostess and had cocktails at the bar directly in front of the restaurant entrance. We returned at our reservation time and were immediately seated. Hector was our server. He was polite and attentive. For our meal we had the following: Bread and butter - 7/10 Fresh Burrata Tomato Salad - 6/10 French Onion Soup - 7/10 Filet Mignon (Med. Rare) - 9/10 Rib Eye (Med.) - 9/10 Creamed Spinach - 8/10 Garlic Mashed Potatoes- 7/10 Truffle Mac & Cheese - 9/10 Diet Coke The only qualm I had with our visit was being seated at the first table directly at the entrance and next to the servers path. Nothing major; I was a server myself when I was younger and know there is a rotation when it comes to seating; so no biggie. Overall, I would give this steakhouse a solid 8.8. Honestly, the ambiance of this establishment sets it apart from the typical Maestros, Ruth's Chris, Morton's, etc. (all places I've frequent several times).

Went for a birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. The steak was perfectly done and the drinks were strong! We had a wonderful server and they were very attentive. The restaurant was very clean and aesthetically pleasing!

Delightful evening of fine dining during the Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn in Riverside. Very good service, excellent steaks and accompaniments. My burrata tomato salad, escargot (that I got to taste), New York steak and fine wine and spirits were all fabulous. The only complaints were the timing of the dishes and the dress code. Plates were ushered off at add times when other dishes were coming out too early. The dress code was odd in that a phone call earlier in the day indicated suit and tie with the threat of being refused service, the website that stating "upscale business attire", and then seeing folks seated with denim, flannel and golf shirts. Not a good look. The rest of our experiences were all positive. Wonderfully decorated hotel, nice music, easy to hear each other, and prices appropriate for the evening.

Both our waiter and the manager were very rude. It should be a nice restaurant but the waiter and manager do not have proper training on fine dining. Didn't taste the food since we left before we could order drinks. Ambiance is nice wish everything else followed. Does not live up even close to what it should be. Will be skipping this restaurant in the future.

Fantastic place for a romantic date and celebration. Delicious food and great selection. Waiters and staff are amazing.

Decent is the word. Yes you're going to spend a lot of money here therefore you're hoping (not going to say expecting) for better quality of food, after all it is AAA Four Diamond Dining. First, they opened late (we made reservation) - good thing there is a bar right at the entrance so we have few drinks and few appetizers (we're hungry). Second, the hostess doesn't look happy, no hello or smile or even acknowledge upon us checking in. Third, the steak, fresh & perfectly cooked med - but somehow dry & the potatoes is dry too & room temp (the butter & sour cream are not even melted). The goods part are: 1. Our waitress is wonderful and delightful attentive to us, 2. The decors is old but somehow make it abit cozy and warm. And 3) others than steak & potatoes are quite tasty. Plus 4). When asked, I told our waitress of what I think but ensure her that's aok, she gave us a dessert complimented. After we left, we walked straight back to the bar and ordered more appetizers and more drinks.

Been years since I've been here, and it did not disappoint. Met a friend who lives in the area for dinner. Tried a couple nights in advance to get Tuesday night ressies for 5:30pm, but no luck. Huge Festival of Lights event going on and the Mission Inn was packed. Determined, I camped out at the hostess stand at 4:30, waiting for their 5pm opening and any last-minute cancelations/no-shows. Kudos to Cristal, Alex, and Hannah who coached me and ultimately hooked me up for 5:15pm. So worth it! Alisa was our server and could not have been nicer or more perfectly attentive. We both stuck with Duane's Old Fashioneds for the evening. Delicious. Though they happened to be out of the single, large round or square ice cubes. They were also out of escargot (I was looking forward to those), but Alisa suggested the Ahi Tuna entree split as appetizers, which made a good replacement. My friend had the Peppercorn Steak and I had the Filet, medium rare for each, and we both added the half lobster tail. I went with the Bearnaise sauce. Would've liked to have seen a bleu cheese topping, but there was none. I noticed the Lobster Mac & Cheese, so we split an order of that as well. So good!! Not to be missed. Just the right amount of food, and we topped it off with the Rum Bread Pudding. Insane!! And beautifully created. Lastly, I added an Espresso Martini to the mix. Another of Alisa's excellent suggestions. Definitely returning in the next couple months!

The historical Mission Inn has enchantment around every corner. This time we visited Duane's and it was rather a delight. Service was intimate and personable. Our entrees were delicious cooked to perfection. The sangria was refreshing and just the right amount of fruit to wine. The place was very welcoming and our server was a nice lady who was patient and very kind to everyone. Mostly everything was good but I got the lobster tail and a few things happened that shouldn't have. First, I must say the presentation was amazing, but I took a bite with the melted butter and was met with at first a great bite but then it got chewy... I also had to use an actual knife to cut the lobster. Bad sign there. In a few bites I was met with a -crunch- so I don't know if it was poorly dressed or if something went very wrong.

Steak was tough. Wagyu should be tender but this wasn't marbled like usual and was difficult to eat. $100 for essentially a $2 steak. The lobster tail was rubbery and difficult to cut. But the creamed spinach was good. The service was good enough and it was pretty quiet and nice inside but it was a holiday evening.

No Longer Prime Time: It'd been a while since our last time at Duane's, but it's one of those spots that left you wanting more. A literal diamond in the rough, or four of those precious stones if one's paying attention to its AAA rating. By all appearances, something special awaits. Bone china, crisp linen, surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight, inside the iconic Mission Inn. Expectations are high but so is the $65 opening price for steak. After we ordered, we were lost in conversation, having a great time, when we noticed it had been two hours, now 9 PM. This is when Duane's began to lose its sparkle. Apologies bought some time but we were hungry. At about 10 PM, dinner was served, two filets and the airline chicken dish. It was clear that what was in front of us was no longer a Prime experience. Instinct guided our knives into the center of the filet to confirm what the eye already knew. The temperature ordered was medium. The steaks were carbon, black and inedible, completely ruined. The chicken was equally "fowled" up, also a wasted effort. After about 3 hours, we were now deciding whether to leave hungry. The staff rallied and the manager took the lead, with explanations and assurances, even promises of comping our meal. We stuck around for round two. Next up, the chicken was a repeat performance, another rubber ducky. The steaks had the right temperature but considering its billing as center cut and 8 ounces, punched below its weight on both accounts. One of the steaks was a feather weight to be sure. All considered, we were hungry enough to lower expectations by a lot and make the best of a bad situation. The chicken, though, was akin to Chicken Little, not only a little too late, but the flavor had fallen from the sky on the way to the table. Despite all of the assurances, we did end up leaving hungry. And, the original offer of comping our meals was not our idea. However, it became a struggle. On principle, we pressed on Duane's manager to hold up their end of the bargain, keep a promise, meet a commitment, deliver on an expectation. It's a house full of diamonds after all. It all proved unsuccessful. We ended up paying a good part of the bill. Was there a joker in the deck? After wasting about 4 hours, apparently, "just kidding" was served up as the finale. Frankly, the bar was so low at the end we were intent on leaving. Ironically, it was the bar just outside where I ordered something to eat, to save over what we'd just experienced. There's a great spot across the street named Mario's. Regrettably, we will probably not return to Duane's even with future stays to the Mission. Our son is a freshman at CBU and we were looking forward to Duane's for special dinners with him during occasional visits. Mistakes happen, the unexpected causes challenges. We were actually understanding of the explanation that was given this night. The problem was, the response. It turned out to be misleading and made the whole situation that much more disappointing. This review is offered for merely a heads up, maybe the problems have been addressed, but for us, Duane's left too bad a taste for us to return.

Hector was our waiter and we both had a ribeye bone in with French onion soup and a side of mushrooms. I have to say this is one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. It was so nice during Christmas. They had carolers come to the table and the wine was absolutely superb. Worth every penny!

Went here for our Christmas Eve dinner and they didn't offer the dinner menu. Instead they offered a tasting menu which consists of the worst 6 courses I've ever had in a tasting menu. First, anything pastry is dry because they obviously have it sitting in the warmer in their kitchen. Second, they rush you, the next course is served before you even finish your current one. The server literally waited for me to finish eating my 2nd course. We got about 15 mins before the "next ticket" was up. I had to request the server to pls slow down. $250 for the tasting menu which includes 5 wine pairings that came way after the food has been served. They're serving wine that you could buy from 7 eleven. They also didn't serve any Cabernet. SMH. On top of that, we asked if we could have a few minutes to finish our 3rd course and the server put our 4th course in the warmer. HE PUT CAVIAR INSIDE A WARMER. When I tasted it, the fish eggs were merely rubber balls. Finally, the wagyu is unlike what you'd expect. It's not tender, it's not buttery. It's closer to what you'd expect a New York steak would be like. Mind you, this is a place that calls itself, a "steakhouse". All in all, this place is but a waste of money and puts a bad name to a great hotel. The best thing we had were the warm bread and butter. Don't risk it, go spend your money elsewhere.

This was one of the finest meals - and dining experiences - of my life. The ambiance is impeccable, as was the service. I had the Peppercorn New York steak, which was served with crisp and flavorful Brussels sprouts. If you desire a fine dining experience within the historic Mission Inn, do not miss an opportunity to experience Duane's.

Out on a date night with my Wife we picked Duane's. Well this one will be crossed off our list to come back to. After being seat and order our food it came out 1.10 mins my wife's chicken was dry and cool. My steak was warm at that and the add on was cold. Could easily tell our food had been sitting, after asking our waitress for our food because we had a place to be our food appeared. After raising concerns about our meal to the waitress, she let us know that she notified the Manager that he was addressed another concern and would be right over. She came back and told us that they discounted our meal and that the Manager was too busy to come over. When I asked what Manager would be to busy to come speak to his guest she said I will be back. I left the table and he came to the table my Wife told him our concerns and was treated to mumbling and not even an apology. When I returned to pay the bill the waitress had the nerve to ask me in front of my wife would you like to speak to the Manager I know your wife did. I stated to her my Wife is more than capable of having a conversation. Suppose to be a high classed restaurant, well scratch that . Do better Mission Inn

Hey Hey Hey, everything about this place is fabulous. The Food, Service, Ambiance meets and exceeds my expectations. Fine fine dining. Steaks are superb My husband proposed to me here and the staff made it a wonderful surprise.

I was so excited to see the lights and enjoy a nice meal. My oh my did management have different plans. First, they were late even opening, so we sat around waiting for someone to show up to the front desk. Finally after somebody did and we get seated, we are sitting around waiting just to ask to see a drink menu. Drinks finally showed up some 10-15 minutes later, we tried to hurry the process along and just order food. Food comes, it's not even cooked properly. Spending 100 bucks for it to come out undercooked, then having to send it back, without any kind of check from the waitress. The final straw is as we're trying to get the bill to pay and leave, we're told it's time to leave and we have exceeded our time allowed to stay. So I guess management only cares about you leaving on time, no regard or care or apology was offered for management for the late opening, late orders, late staff, undercooked food, or for trying to kick other patrons out based on time limits. Save yourself the money and horrific experience, especially for the holidays, and go literally anywhere else. Management made an already terrible experience even worse with their lack of care and responsibility.

Last night we went to Duane's with my financial advisor and his fiancé. Amazing experience. Steak was cooked to perfection and the sides tasted just as great. The service is impeccable and our server, Mario was spot on with knowledge and service. The ambiance was classy and there is a dress code. If you are in the Riverside area you need to go here for fine dining.

My mom and I went here last year and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Unfortunately, this time, was not even ok. We had Sana and he was great in the beginning, seemed very nice. However, it took a quick turn. I was with my family (All women) and we each had different drinks. He did not come by our table for awhile and I was waiting so I flagged him down and tapped on my drink and asked "may I have another please". It took about 15 minutes to get the drink (not my big concern, it was mothers day weekend) and when he dropped it off, it was another person's drink at our table. He came back and I let him know I had a martini and not whatever was dropped off because it had whisky in it and I'm allergic to whiskey. He then said "Well, that's what you ordered". I stated "No, I tapped on my drink and asked for another and that was not my drink". He proceeded to completely ignore us and we had to flag him down every time. After all of this, I still tipped 20%. The reason I brought up that we were all women, was due to us noticing there was another table of women that he was also being rude too, but not any of the tables with men at them. He was joking and being so kind. It felt extremely sexist. It doesn't end there though... I paid with a card and he dropped off the receipt with a section for for the room number. I worked at a hotel, sometimes they want to know what you are staying in, but it's pretty obvious where the tip should go, to the card I paid with. I went to the bar outside of the restaurant a few hours after and here he comes "You wrote on the wrong receipt. You need to cross out the room number or they're going to charge the tip to the room." (The receipt he brought, was not the receipt that was given to me, the one with the room number is all I received). I didn't want any further altercation with him and he was being extremely aggressive, and belittling. He is lucky that I still kept the 20% on it. I spent over $500.00 to get treated like crap and made everyone uncomfortable, including my mom who we were celebrating. I hope they deal with him appropriately, because sexist behavior can have more consequence than a bad review.

Overall a disappointing meal. The service was fine, the ambiance was fine. Nothing was great. The food felt overpriced for what it was. I had lamb chops and my husband had steak and lobster tail. My lamb chops were about $70 and his steak was the same. The lobster tail add on was less than the price listed on the menu, but it was also a small tail. The sides again were fine. The mashed potatoes were good, the green beans were nice and crispy, but the truffle mac and cheese felt like it was not made from scratch. It was like Kraft deluxe with some truffle oil mixed in. Overall the food tasted fine, but really felt overpriced for what it was. The big disappointment was the desserts. I like to bake and could most definitely have made better desserts. I had the crème brûlée and my husband had the apple turnover. I have never seen a thinner crème brûlée and my husband would have been better stopping at the store and buying Pepperidge Farms! My biggest gripe was that they don't use freshly whipped real cream. You cannot be that level of a steak house and cheap out on whipped cream. I was quite shocked by that. If I could give a half star I would give 2.5 stars.

Went to Duane's for an anniversary dinner. Was greeted by Crystal. Was told to show a reservation #, which was never sent to me. I showed Crystal the confirmation text verifying I made the reservation. She rudely told me she couldn't help me unless I had a reservation #. Then she proceeded to ignore me and started helping others ! I then left and ended up at Longhorn's steakhouse ! Longhorn's treated me like royalty and the food was amazing!!! I will never go back to Duane's due to bad customer service !

Food was okay. Not worth the price in terms of flavor but the quality is good. Service was great but slow. It took 40 mins to get our food. Every visit to the table took forever. On my reservation I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. No acknowledgment whatsoever from anyone at the restaurant. So not sure why they even ask on the reservation if we're celebrating something. My guess is they forgot or didn't care to look at the reservation note because they definitely acknowledged the birthday at the table behind us. Lastly we called to ask about the dress code prior to our reservation and we were told "no blue jeans." The website doesn't mention that at all. The website actually says something to the extent of no shorts or baseball caps. Anyway, we get there and we counted a total of 5 diners with blue jeans.

Great food, great service. Dean was our server today and provided us with great service. Great place to have a nice dinner and enjoy a nice restaurant

I was so excited to eat here. My boyfriend brought me here for a birthday dinner and I will preface this by saying the service was good, the cocktails were good. My one gripe was the price! And I understand it's a steakhouse but it was so overpriced for a la carte cuts let alone if you want sides. The kicker is, you can literally get the same meal for basically half the price in the courtyard that's 20 feet away! How is that ok?! I'm more upset that people are tricked into paying double the price because you're in a restaurant versus the courtyard which I'd argue is even more beautiful than the restaurant. It's the principle of it that's upsetting especially if you're wanting to celebrate something special! Save yourself money and eat LITERALLY 20 feet outside of the restaurant in their courtyard option.

Wowza! This place is solid. We came here to celebrate our anniversary. Service was great. Our sever was very attentive. We started with the escargot, our first time trying it, and it was fantastic! The filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and flavorful! The diver scallops were delicious and had a robust flavor profile. The tiramisu and coffee was a perfect ending to our celebration. The ambiance is romantic. We will definitely be back. Thank you Duane's for making our anniversary special! I love this place!
