The Best Restaurants in Sacramento, Roseville, and Elk Grove | Eater SF

"Established in 2019, Dubplate has been quietly providing Sacramento with the layered, heat-packing flavors of Jamaican cuisine. The menu is simple but contains all the most popular dishes: Plump and impeccably spiced jerk chicken and rich, savory curry goat over a bed of fluffy rice and peas, an array of seasonal vegetables, and fried plantains, with edges caramelized and crispy and insides soft. Though the entree servings are generous, you’d be remiss to skip out on a beef patty. If you don’t normally find yourself in Sacramento’s Arden Arcade neighborhood to get your fix, you might have luck at the various downtown nightclubs where Dubplate pitches a tent to serve hungry dancers once the lights have turned on and it’s time to head home." - Tamerra Griffin

It all starts with the people. We have always had excellent service at Dub Plate. The people are kind and make great suggestions if you are unsure. Their vegan options are delicious, and the meat options, too. Their meat options are so good, in fact, that some of us non-meat eaters love them!

Please please PLEASE support this business!! This is the best place to eat in Sacramento hands down man. The oxtail, the jerk chicken, the fried chicken, the beef patties the chicken patties (ask them for a side of oxtail gravy to dip them in), the mac and cheese it’s all hot fire man. I’m serious we gotta support local family owned businesses like this before these corporations run em over. You will not be disappointed with the food here I promise you I drive 40 minutes each way from Folsom just to feel sumn 😭 Have em cater your event or go in for lunch or dinner whatever just do it and thank me later.

If you’re craving real Jamaican food in Sacramento, Dubplate Kitchen in Arden Arcade is where the magic happens. This spot isn’t just good—it’s straight fire. From the moment you walk in, the aroma hits you like a wave of island flavor. You know you’re in for something serious. Let’s get right into the heavy hitters: The Jerk Chicken—hands-down, one of the best in the city. The spice level is dialed in perfectly—just enough heat to wake up your senses, but not so much it overpowers the deep, smoky, well-marinated flavor. Every bite is juicy, tender, and packed with that signature jerk punch. You can tell this isn’t some watered-down version—this is authentic Jamaican soul food. Now, if you’re into rich, comforting curries, do not sleep on the Goat Curry. It’s bold, meaty, and beautifully seasoned—slow-cooked to that fall-off-the-bone texture with spices that cling to every bite. The kind of dish that makes you close your eyes while eating and just vibe with the flavor. The portions? Generous. The staff? Warm and welcoming. The vibe? Chill but full of character, just like the food. Whether you're a longtime Jamaican food lover or trying it for the first time, Dubplate Kitchen delivers a culinary experience you won’t forget. This isn’t just dinner. It’s a destination.

Google
Absolutely AMAZING. The people, the food , everything. We got the jerk chicken and oxtails .. comes with rice and peas and cabbage and plantain and when I say everything down to the rice itself was satisfying..

Google
I was really excited to try this restaurant reading all of the reviews and having it recommended by an instagram page! However things turned out to be fairly overall disappointing, the lady that was working the register got our order wrong despite reading it back twice, we were served in to-go plastic containers (Not even plates) and while I can sort of write that off as maybe having no dishwashing staff available, I think the most egregious part of this ordeal was how bland the food was and how the chicken was dryer than the Sahara. I can’t even begin to elaborate on how upset it made me to eat BLAND Jamaican food, i’ve had more flavor from dishes I’ve eaten in the UK! On the one hand I hope that maybe I just got a bad pull and this was a one time misfortune (Needless to say I still won’t go back), but on the other hand I wonder how many of the top reviews are paid to write positive statements- because none of what they describe was there today.

Google
💯%🔥! The food was fantastic! Aroma of flavors from outside walking up, definitely worth the visit! Customer Service was on point. Highly recommended!

Google
Dive bar style eatery with good food, bad ambiance, and great service. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good size portions. The curry chicken Jamaican patties were very good as was the brown stew chicken. Our first time having Jamaican food, so can't say how it stacks up to other Jamaican places, but we enjoyed it.

Google
The food is delicious. They don't always have coco bread. That pisses me off. That stuff is amazing. The jerk chicken isn't really spicy. I don't think they add any scotch bonnet peppers. It's still delicious, I am used to eating jerk chicken made on he east coast. Maybe that's why it is not so spicy. I will go back. The curry goat is always a winner.

Yelp
My friend had been telling me to try them. I'm mad it took me so long. Omgeeee some of the most flavorful Jamaican food I've ever had. The staff was soooooo friendly, had amazing customer service, nobody looked like they didn't want to be there. I wasn't given a hard time when I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted. The young lady that rung me up was so beautiful and patience. She helped me with my order so I wasn't just ordering all wild and spending hella money. My momma loved her oxtails, so tender, fall of the bone!!!! My jerk shrimp was the beat. Rice and peas bomb. No hard peas over here. Cabbage bomb, ital bomb, that chickpea pumpkin mix omgeee. I'll be back more than likely this week. I knew it was gone be good because when I walked in, I ran into someone I hadn't seen in over 10 years Yall try them out. I'm coming back for the jerk chicken and snapper.

Yelp
Upon arrival there was music playing and I was greeted by the staff. It was my first time here and I take part in Veganuary so, I had questions about the vegan oxtails. The staff person explained that it was plant based (jackfruit). I ordered a small which consisted of the "oxtails," cabbage, rice and peas, and a piece of plantain. The gravy for the "oxtails" reminded me more of a sweet and sour unlike the gravy you get from traditional oxtails. But the flavor was cool. Everything else was good as well. It took about 15-20 minutes, from the time I arrived. My only suggestion is to maybe figure out a way to make the "oxtail" gravy more savory., unless the sweet and sour flavor is what you were going for. That's the only thing that kept it from being 5 stars for me.

Yelp
I'm not super familiar with Jamaican food in general as it tends to be more meat heavy. But on a short trip to Sacramento, I found this glorious restaurant that has veggie options! We got their vegan oxtail and their ital stew and a side of cassava fries. Everything was super flavorful and I really liked the rice! Only the cassava fries were on the drier side, but both plates were so so good. The portions were also huge and incredibly filling. The staff was also so kind in walking us through the options as we weren't familiar. Was super grateful for their patience. Would love to come by here again if I'm ever in town!

Yelp
Once again the food never disappoints! I decided to try something different this time, the brown stew chicken and it was sooooo good. Flavorful, meat tender and a good portion. I am determined to try everything on the menu!

Yelp
Came to visit this restaurant on my lunch break. The ambiance was great and the vibes were on point. The music playing helped with my "this is amazing, im happy" dance. My fiancé and I order the 2 entree combo. It was more than enough to share. Our meat selections were oxtails and jerk chicken, the combo came with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. Honestly there are no words to explain how flavorful everything was. The service matched the food. The cook, who I assume is the owner was super sweet and the entire staff greeted us upon entry. Can't wait to go back
google avatar

Yelp
For those unaware (like I was), January 26th is National Oxtail Day and I knew exactly where to go! Dubplate NEVER disappoints! The oxtails were tender with just enough spice and Summer and her crew are always friendly and knowledgeable!
google avatar

Jude W.

Yelp
The oxtails and the jerk chicken were phenomenal. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. The rice and beans were delicious, with the gravy from the oxtails on top. The oxtails were very tasty, and the portions were generous. For my beverage, I had a ginger beer.

Yelp
My family and I stopped by on a whim having never tried Dubplate but needing to fill our bellies. We were SO happy with our choice. Nothing but smiles and excellent, warm service and the FOOD!! It was absolutely delicious. We tried the oxtail (a family favorite), the jerk chicken (perfectly seasoned and fall-off-the-bone tender), and the curry chicken (beautifully flavorful). We were encouraged to pour the oxtail gravy over our red beans and rice and that sent it over the top! We even took more to have at home for later. We topped off the meal with some banana pudding and it was so delicious. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Jonathan F.

Yelp
Some of the most flavorful oxtail I've had. I'm addicted. That flavor is insane with a little kick to it too! You get a little bit of extra gravy in the side as well to dip the oxtail in too! Plantains and veggies were delicious. Rice and beans were alright, a little dry. Fried chicken too was super flavorful but really small pieces given ! Got the jerk chicken too. It was pretty dry the day I got it so I think I'm gonna just stick with what I liked which was the oxtail! Second time I had it here and very consistently good.

Yelp
We had Dubplate Kitchen & Jamaican Cuisine on our list for a long time and finally made it in for a lunch where we were so excited to try a variety of their menu items. It smelled so good the second we walked in! The staff greeted us when we entered and were patient as we decided what to order, they even recommended a couple dishes. We ended up ordering a lot of food. We got two combo plates (2 entrees, rice, veggies and plantains $32.49) one combo plate had Jerk shrimp and Curry chicken and the other combo plate had oxtail and brown stew chicken. We also ordered a beef patty ($6.99) and a couple drinks. We grabbed a table, it's a small restaurant but they have space to dine in and a bunch of people were grabbing takeout while we were there. When we opened our containers there was so much food! They also offered us hot sauce that was perfect with the food and made with scotch bonnet peppers. A combo plate could easily feed two people on its own and we ended up having a lot of leftovers. The brown stew chicken was our favorite, followed by the oxtail then the curry chicken and then jerk shrimp, but all of it was delicious. The meat was tender and fall off the bone and the sauces that the meats were in were delicious and great with a bite of rice. The beef patty came out a bit after our other food but was piping hot and so flavorful. We almost ordered more to take home, but were already so full. The parking lot is small, but it's nice that they have one. We'll definitely be back again soon and we're already excited to eat the leftovers.

Yelp
I go to this restaurant often and its food is always consistent from its oxtails to stewed chicken as well as the jerk plates. But yesterday I got stewed red snapper and it was absolutely delicious. Amazing dish served with rice, cabbage and plantains.
google avatar

Johnika J.

Yelp
This rating is based on the view times I have visited I have gotten the oxtails every time along with curry chicken, jerk chicken and brown stew chicken. Today I was a little disappointed because I received neck bones instead of the delicious oxtails I normally received. I know some don't know the difference but it's something I eat frequently and I don't like neck bones. So I quickly noticed the difference. I wish companies would at least just say it may be both. I appreciate the fast service I always receive. Not sure if I'll be back for the oxtails don't want to get neck bones again the chicken is always good along with the rice and peas plantain are cooked to perfection. Cabbage well seasoned and cooked well. If you don't mind neck bones give them a try

Yelp
truly the best jerk chicken i've ever had. The food came out quickly and the service was great! Definitely worth the price!

Deanthony W.

Yelp
So delicious I love this place. They're oxtails is on the map the beef patties I get one at least once a day.

Debra W.

Yelp
Saiuce was more bbq than jerk we got oxtails and chicken , chicken 7/10, oxtails 5/10. Cabbage 9/10
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
Yeah I got the oxtails and wife got the jerk chicken. Omg it's too fire. Vibes were great and the food was even better. Go here. Trust me, I kno what I know.
google avatar

Layoya P.

Yelp
Take out order on 12/13/24 food was nor it's usual taste and look. First the oxtails were all the tiny small stumpy ones. The oxtails was leftovers from the day before or reheated multiple times the day of. I was disappointed, especially this is my 3rd visit. If I do return it will only be for the meat pie which was fresher than the oxtail plate.

Yelp
Dubplate has been on my list to try for probably a couple of years! I don't get down to Arden Arcade very often. I'm glad the business survived 'rona. Different jerk chicken flavor than I expected but very good. Chicken is chopped so heads up for bone and cartilage pieces. Rice & peas... Jamaicans call it rice and peas because traditionally it was made with gungo peas. Had to look that up because I was eating rice and kidney beans and it didn't add up. lol! That dish was great! Steamed veggies cooked just right, al dente. I saw pix of bell peppers in other's reviews (wish they had kale like 2019 photos) so I'm glad I shared bells aren't my fav. I forced myself to enjoy the two tiny yellow bell pieces that made it onto my plate. They were alright, too. Note that you may want to skip the cabbage late at night. It hurt like hell for my body to process that but was fine as lunch or early dinner. Large jerk chicken made 3 meals. Reasonable price these days ~$7/serving. Was very disappointed about not having any plantains when I opened the box at home (always check your order everywhere you go). But I called and spoke with Sunny. She made it right. And they were fantastic plantains!! I will return. Thank you. Maybe the staff can smile a little more freely at this white woman next time. I gave smiles but they were met with suspicion. Next time!

Yelp
Ambiance is whatever. Music is top notch! Service was nice but reserved. Lots of to go orders, small parking lot. I like the smaller menu and everything has the same sides so you're not staring at the menu forever trying to make up your mind. Beef Patties: Flakey and a good size. Taste was mild but I think I want more texture in the ground beef. Here it kinda looked pulverized like beans. Probably wouldn't order it again but glad we tried. Jerk chicken: Was a little dry but my husband said he doesn't mind that like I do. He genuinely enjoyed the chicken and the spices. I don't think it was hot but a bite here and there had a small kick to it. There are spices we couldn't figure out. Same with the spices in the rice and peas. Nothing mindblowing about the rice and peas but a compliments the dishes. Oxtail: could be a little more fall of the bone for my personal liking but this is where it's at! Beefy and a little fatty with this warm gravy that goes so well over anything (rice, noodles, potatoes). I would come back for this dish alone and ask for extra gravy!

Yelp
Went in for the first time with a friend and food was so good. I've been looking for a place in sac for good Jamaican food and seems like I found my spot! I grabbed the oxtail plate which came with steamed cabbage, plantains, rice and beans. Workers were friendly and had great recommendations as well. I plan to come back again to try more from their menu!
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
Food and service used to be amazing until they gave me actual fish instead of their vegan fish. My brother specifically ordered off their vegan menu for me and now I'm sweating and vomiting profusely. Can't believe this, will be reporting this restaurant!!
google avatar

Tiara B.

Yelp
They dishing out some authentic Jamaican food in the heart of sac! I really enjoyed their jerk salmon and oxtails!
google avatar

Elena B.

Yelp
Everything we tried was delicious; goat curry/ital stew combo/chicken stew/ spring rolls- omg the flavors! The meat was sooo tender. And the plantains were amazing. I had no idea they were close to Arden- arcade. A Definite Must Try!
google avatar

Yelp
Grabbed some takeout for lunch. Jerk chicken and curried goat was on point. Tasted great and lots of leftovers.

Yelp
Oh, here is my two cents on the quality, quantity and price of my meal... it was delivered in a reasonable fashion by Uber eats.. I ordered, curry, chicken, jerk, chicken, plantains, Jamaican patties Jamaican dumplings, ..... I have been to Jamaica, and I spent two weeks there ... hi must say that this food was just as good as any I had there.... With the order of the curry chicken and the jerk chicken, they provided rice and peas ... the rice and peas is actually season rice with red kidney beans...... There was also a side dish of what appears to be a sautéed cabbage I found the Jamaican dumplings on the dry side, but the beef patty was as good as you get in Jamaica ... All of the sizes were more than adequate for a good meal plus some leftovers .. It seem that they gave you enough of a small chicken, both in the curry and the jerk chicken .... and the meat fell off the bone. It was quite delicious... Compared to the other restaurants I've had there was more than enough food, and the prices were quite reasonable So if you cannot afford to fly down to Jamaica and have the food, I strongly recommend that you come here .. all the food I ordered came to a total of under $100 plus it was delivered....
google avatar

Ohhlala M.

Yelp
Wow! The oxtail was so good. The curry chicken I'm used to on my Thai side, but just without the fish sauce or msg. Love how the food was not too salty! The patties were great too.
google avatar

Don P.

Yelp
Great food friendly staff and was quickly served... had the Dubplat with 2 options ordered the oxtail and jerk chicken.. theoxtaile were amazing falling the bone tender, this was my first time tying ox table so I honestly don't have any reference point but if I had any expectations they were exceeded deliciously great sauce .. the jerk chicken was authenticity cooked blackened with spices and so flavorful.. and 5he jeark sauce was spicy sweet savory yum... plate came with seemed cabbage and carrots and dirty rice ... will deff be back

Yelp
Hands down the best Jamaican food in Sacramento area And the reason im saying this, is because I have tried he others Jamaican places around Their beef patty is to die for , I always order some Their oxtail and goat fall off the bone and flavorful And everyone there is super nice.
google avatar

Carmen B.

Yelp
My Pastor took me here for dinner last Saturday. The service was good. I ordered the curry goat, well proportioned though a bit more bone than I would like, only a small piece of plantain, however everything was very well seasoned. I live in PLACERVILLE, I will definitely return when I can. It's suitable for takeout only, not for large groups to eat in. Everyone was very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Where has festival bread been all my life and why am I just finding out about it now? Oxtail: amazing Curry chicken: fire! Curry goat: delicious Jerk chicken: the best yet (and to whomever spiced it this hot...you finally gave me one that was almost too spicy for me, but I powered through that...because as always it was fire) Festival bread: 20/10 Always delicious.

Yelp
My twin Daughters and I used to go to Sunnys old restaurant in Rocklin and always loved her food and her warm smile and friendly personality. We decided to make a trip to DubPlate today to say hello to her and check out her new spot. I had the jerk chicken and Ox tail combo and it was fresh, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I added some scotch bonnet sauce for the perfect amount of kick. My Daughters both had the Curry chicken plate and loved it. Unfortunately, Sunny was not there when we were there but that is just a good excuse to come back soon. Great restaurant, great vibe, amaz8ng food, aweome friendly people working here. Go check it out you will not be disappointed.. the food is made with love that you can taste!

Mike P.

Yelp
I heard from others that this was the place to go for authentic Jamaican food. I ordered the jerk chicken and a beef patty. The jerk chicken was so dry and overcooked which could have been okay with the sauce, but they only give you this small like 2 oz cup. The beef patty was good, but I don't think it was made inhouse. They looked and tasted exactly like the ones I get from the Costco business center down the street. Maybe it was an off day, but I was disappointed.
google avatar

Dawana M.

Yelp
I went to this place with family, it was just ok. Was a little spicy for my liking. The facility is super small so we couldn't dine in because it was 10 of us. Employees are super nice so that's why I give this place a 3 because employees were kind. Food was just ok. I wouldn't go here again but you have to try it for yourself because you may like spicy. I got the Jerk chicken meal.

Yelp
Saw this place on instagram and decided to go have dinner there! First impressions was Jamaican vibes good music! I ordered the oxtails and the flavor was amazing so good. I'll definitely be back again. I'll be trying the jerk chicken next time

Yelp
Oxtail and meat patty were delicious! Definitely will go back. Service was excellent and friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Best braised oxtail in town, y'all! Flavors are consistent and the meat just melts in your mouth. Cute, small setting. Notes a lot of take out orders. It does take some time for them to cook the entrees so expect a bit of a wait. Gotta make sure all the flavors are incorporated so didn't mind the wait. Service is amazing, staff are nice and made great recommendations. 100% coming back soon!!

Yelp
Update!!!! I have returned at least 4 times since my 3 star review and my recommendation is to come around lunch time when the adults are there making plates!!!! I have never had an issue when I come before 3pm

Yelp
I treated my mom to some cuisine at Dubplate for the first time today to celebrate her birthday! :) She had been craving some Jamaican food. She discovered some time ago that there is a Jamaican restaurant in the Arden Arcade area, much to my surprise. I've lived in the Arden area for 10 years consistently before I moved out of Sac. Yet, somehow I missed this restaurant was here. D'oh! When we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by the lovely Elena. She was all smiles and very patient as we placed our orders. My mom ordered the curry goat plate, side of plantains ,and a beef patty; I ordered the curry shrimp plate and a ginger beer (non alcoholic). We also ordered a to-go plate for my youngest brother who couldn't make it with us: fried chicken plate with a side of a beef Patty. There was plenty of seating, so, my mom and I sat at a table while we waited for our food. We decided to dine in and enjoy the nice atmosphere! The staff were very friendly! When our food was done it was brought out to our table. My mom and I absolutely love the food!! It was pretty quiet at our table....the food was so good lol. My mom gushed over the curry goat, saying at how tender and the delicious it was, including roux that it was cooked in. She let me try a couple of pieces and I was on the floor of how delicious it was!! In fact all the food was delicious!! Each of the entrees came with plantains, veggies, and rice and peas. We were so full that we had enough food to take home for leftovers. The food was so good that my brother that we ordered the to go plate for actually ate all the food that we brought back to him. He's an extremely picky eater and it's very difficult to get him to eat anything new. I'm telling you, the staff are true miracle workers! It definitely goes without saying that we'll definitely be back. Thank you Dubplate for the hospitality and the delicious food!!! :)

Yelp
Customer Service was great in my opinion. Super patient and not too loud of an area. We ordered a Oxtail & Jerk Chicken Combo , Oxtail & Curry Goat Combo with 2 Jamaican beef patties. The total was $74 and some change. The food did not have any distinct flavor, it tasted as if an American made it without any type of practice. This does not come near the Jamaican cuisine in Oakland Ca. Overall it was not horrible, but definitely not worth $74.

Yelp
I'm going to keep this short and sweet! We ordered the Snapper fish, oxtails and a beef patty for lunch and it was really good except the fish. The snapper tasted like it was cooked earlier, put in the fridge and served with veggies when ordered! It had a refrigerator taste to it, I wish it was cooked fresh! The oxtail meal was "out of sight"!! Tender meat, gravy was tasty and rice and peas were on hit with some fresh veggies and plantains! The beef patty was good, tasted fresh and hot, will get it when I go back again! The service was great, staff were friendly and accommodating to my need! The best part about this experience was the reggae jamming in the background! I'll be back for the jerk chicken and curry goat! Maybe I'll give the Red snapper another try!

Yelp
I'm not from the area but this restaurant is my favorite in the Sacramento area. Everything on their oxtail plate is delicious. I'm not really into beans and rice but really enjoyed their version. I also enjoyed the callaloo and would order that again as a vegetable side dish. It may be a little too spicy for some but I really liked the heat level. I'm already looking forward to my next time in Sacramento so I can stop by the restaurant again.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a while. I've learned to call ahead and know that their dinner servings aren't cooked and ready until after 4pm usually. I always aim to pick up the food after 4pm but on this day I called it in early at 3pm I was told it would take 25 min. Because the stewed chicken wasn't ready. Fine with me because it takes me that long to get there. I pack up my toddler and head that way. I get there and go up to pay for my stewed chicken plate with a jerk shrimp and chicken plate. It's not ready the stewed chicken will take another 20 min. I said that's fine and took my toddler outside to keep busy. After coming back and being told it wasn't ready still I take my kid to canes for some food (she's hangry) at this point. I get her some fries to keep her busy. I come back and get my food after an hour and a half total wait time. The lady was very nice and apologized which I understand stuff happens. I get home only to see mostly bones in my jerk chicken and no stew sauce barely any juice on the rice. The stewed chicken just was rubbery. I don't like to complain or write bad reviews but the food tasted undercooked. The cabbage and rice as well. I just felt like it was all rushed. The past few orders seemed smaller on portioning and mostly bones as well in our jerk chicken orders. As much as I've eaten here I noticed changes in a lot of things but not having your timing correctly for customers who drive a far distance and even call ahead I would suggest telling people the food isn't going to be ready until an hour and a half out from the time they call to be fair and let people decide if the wait time and drive time would be worth what they end up taking home. In my experience it's a no and I haven't been back since. Instead I learned how to cook it at home thanks to the internet.

Jela T.

Yelp
Baby the flavor is there ... my favorite meal whole fish , worth the wait. The service is like any mom and pop they going to give you the real.

Yelp
Came here a few months back and I'm finally getting my review in. First I will say, the food was delicious! Although we were told it would be about 15min wait, it actually took 45 mins for just 2 plates. Our food was fresh and worth the wait, but I would have appreciated if she kept us updated rather than not say anything as we waited so long. I ordered a half jerk chicken and half chicken curry plate, while my fiancé ordered the Ackee fish. We both enjoyed our plates. I did order a side of mac and cheese which in my opinion was bland and dried. I wish I could've tried the other recommended dishes, but we do not eat red meat.

Yelp
Love this little gem! Food is always consistent and price is decent. The dessert are a nice treat. Family owned and service always with a smile. If gives mom&pops.

Yelp
Phenomenal everything but their beef patties and oxtail was halal. The service was excellent, super sweet and funny! The vibes were very homey. Highly recommend! Got the oxtail and jerk chicken combo, which were phenomenal! Their gravy was SOOO good, meat is super tender and flavorful. I also tried their beef patty, Mac and cheese and fried chickens which were okay. I wish the Mac and cheese has cheese in the sauce instead of just on top. If the fried chicken was freshly fried, it would have been amazing.
